**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fey H. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I use PEX for my entertainment show, short vertical dramas, and media commercials, and it really helps my line producers and unit program managers access money efficiently when everyone's busy on set. I appreciate how it allows our employees and production team to work separately and efficiently. The feature that lets us see all the expenses on the card and sort them by different categories in the PEX app is extremely helpful. Also, the initial setup was easy, which I really liked.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

It could be better if we could use it for renting cars and other usage where our card is not available to use.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX helps my line producers and program managers access funds and run errands efficiently, especially when everyone's busy on set.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> We’re thrilled to hear that PEX has helped your production team manage expenses efficiently and keep operations running smoothly on set. It’s great to know the expense tracking, categorization features, and easy setup have been valuable for your workflows. We also appreciate your feedback around rental car purchases. Based on your needs, Credit Expense could be a great fit, as it supports purchases like rental cars where prepaid cards may not be accepted.

 ### 4. PEX Makes Transaction Tracking and Card Management Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik C. | Finance Secretary, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

The most helpful thing about PEX is how it organizes every transaction. And it also gives transparent statements that helps keep our records organized. I also love the way PEX allows us to order multiple cards at once in one single batch. It is very easy to implement throughout our organization. There is also the ease of integration such as making cards for each vendor and keep them in a list whenever we need them to purchase any goods or services. The customer support is also great all team support are very helpful and friendly whenever we have any questions regarding our account or the different uses that we can implement on our logistics. Our organization frequently uses PEX whether it be for fuel for our equipment or to purchase materials and services.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

One downside of PEX is that funding can take a while to transfer to the account. In an emergency, our organization needs a fast way to fund certain services or purchase materials right away so operations can continue without interruption.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX has helped us improve the way we organize our transactions by keeping track of the dates for each one and generating reports for our organization. It also helps us keep our departments within their capped budgets. On top of that, it supports employee accountability, since we can quickly spot and address any questionable purchases that show up in our account.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> We are glad to hear PEX is helping your team stay organized and making transaction tracking and card management easier. We also appreciate the kind words about our support team.

We hear your feedback on funding speed. For more urgent needs, we do offer faster options like wire transfers and same-day ACH to help ensure funds are available when you need them. Feel free to reach out to adminsupport@pexcard.com if you would like additional information or support.

 ### 5. Professional presentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carla E. | Administrative Office Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2024

**What do you like best about PEX?**

The company is very forward looking and coming up with new innovations, testing the product with their employees and then allowing consumers to sign up to test the new feature.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

They have been updating but sometime the ability to split transaction is not available and it feels like there are a few glitches in reporting your transactions, tags, etc.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has help solve our departmental request for funding, eliminating lost paper work as well as we have a record of all transactions. We can now track most of departmental spending. It has also increase accountability throughout the departments that utilized the cards.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review! We're thrilled to hear that PEX has been a valuable asset in streamlining your processes, especially with reducing paperwork and helping your culinary staff manage their funding more efficiently. ### 6. Streamline Expense Management for Nonprofits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyson G. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I really like the low fees of PEX as other platforms charge fees that don't work well for cash flow, especially for small nonprofits like ours. The staff at PEX are excellently trained; everyone I have spoken to has expert-level knowledge of the platform, even the salespeople. I've talked to a lot of salespeople in my career about software, and PEX's staff are clearly well-prepared. Additionally, I appreciate the low level of upselling, which makes the experience more comfortable. The initial setup of PEX was very easy, and on a scale from 1 to 10, I would definitely recommend PEX to others and give it a 10.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

Nothing

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX helps me with expense tracking, spend management, and financial controls.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thank you for the amazing review! We’re so glad PEX has been a great fit for your nonprofit, especially when it comes to keeping fees low and simplifying expense management. We also appreciate your kind words about our team; providing knowledgeable, low-pressure support is something we care deeply about. Thanks again for the recommendation and for being part of PEX!

 ### 7. Receipts, Notes, and GL Tags in One Place—Plus Helpful Updates Like Auto Enforcer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brenda L. | Senior Property Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I like that my receipts and notes are all in one place. I also really like the updates, such as Auto Enforcer, and the fact that I can add GL codes as tags.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I have 9–10 PEX accounts that I reconcile, and they don’t all have the same reports available for each account. It would be nice if there was a uniformity in the reports.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was having issues getting cardholders to reconcile their accounts in a timely manner. I would start making my entries in PEX, only to find that a user still hadn’t finished uploading receipts or adding notes about the purchase. With auto enforcer, users are prompted to reconcile their transactions on time, which has helped keep things moving more consistently.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for sharing this. We are glad to hear Auto Enforcer is helping keep reconciliations moving and that having receipts, notes, and GL tags in one place has been valuable for your workflow.

For the reporting differences across accounts, please reach out to adminsupport@pexcard.com with your account names and the reports you need access to, and our team will get everything aligned. We appreciate the feedback and your partnership.

 ### 8. Effortless International Payments, Needs Better Alerts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Opare D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I like that PEX allows us to easily get cash to our international staff on the prepaid cards. I also appreciate how easy it is to fund the cards and monitor the spending. We are able to easily integrate it into our accounting with our custom categories and general ledger, which makes the process smooth and efficient.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I think the alerts could be better when cards reach a certain balance. It would also be helpful for users to request easier in the platform.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX helps pay international staff easily and lets us quickly fund and monitor spending on prepaid cards, integrating with our custom categories and GL.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thank you for the thoughtful review and for sharing how PEX is supporting your international staff payments and GL workflow, it's great to hear.

On your feedback: PEX does support configurable Low Balance Alerts (cardholders can set a threshold in Account → Notifications to get a push notification when a card drops below it) and in-app Funding, Spend Limit, and Card Unblocking Requests that cardholders can send to admins for approval. Your CSM will reach out shortly to make sure these are turned on and set up the way you want.

 ### 9. Effortless Card Management with Quick Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** KaLynn H.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I love the ease of setup with PEX and how easy it is to navigate the portal. It's super quick to fund any card in our account with just a click of a button. The integration with QuickBooks also saves a ton of time administratively, and it's great that receipts and reimbursement requests can be sent directly from the app without needing to track down paper copies. The prompt and easy use of PEX helps solve issues quickly, providing peace of mind in potentially stressful situations.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I would say when we are funding cards from the cards tab, it would be nice to have a notes section appear to add what funds are being sent for. It would also be nice to have the ability to allow our drivers to pull cash off their cards, if we allow it. So, some kind of permission to be able for them to do this if card is not accepted. The ability to send ACH payments to our drivers would also be a helpful option or allowing us to reallocate funds from their card accounts to their personal bank account if needed. Some vendors don't accept cards, and cash is king

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX streamlines the funding process for truck drivers, eliminating the hassle of using cash apps or credit cards, and helps track expenditures precisely. It's easy to set up, navigate, and fund cards swiftly, reducing stress during urgent situations.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for sharing your experience. We are glad to hear setup has been quick, funding cards is easy for your team, and the QuickBooks integration and in app receipts are helping reduce administrative work and stress.

We also appreciate the candid feedback around notes, cash access, and alternative payment options. For situations where vendors do not accept cards or when individuals need to be reimbursed directly, our reimbursement feature may be a good fit. It allows you to reimburse individuals through PEX while still maintaining visibility and control. We have included a support article below on this feature but please reach out to adminsupport@pexcard.com if you want to learn more.

 ### 10. User-Friendly with Stellar Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caroline O.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I love that PEX is extremely user-friendly and they are constantly making updates and improvements. My favorite feature is the digest email reminder, which allows me to reach out to multiple card-holders at once using different filters. The emails provide plenty of detail, so no further explanation is needed on my end, making it a great automated process. Adding new card-holders is a very easy process.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I wish I could still check transactions as reviewed even if they do not include user notes or receipt attachments. The review status is how I know if I have entered a transaction into my spreadsheet for accounting purposes, so all transactions having an option for review (with or without receipts and/or notes) would be a helpful visual. Also, it is not automated with our ERP.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX helps us track recurring transactions with the credit card and allows for flexible purchases with spending cards. The digest email reminder is invaluable, enabling easy communication with card-holders and efficient process automation.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share this. It is great to hear the digest email reminders have been a strong fit for your workflow and that adding new cardholders has been straightforward.

We appreciate the thoughtful feedback on transaction review status and ERP automation. That kind of visibility is important for accounting processes, and input like this helps guide where we continue to improve. Thanks again for the detailed review and for sharing how your team uses PEX.

 ### 11. Streamlined Financial Management, Needs Enhanced Bulk Loading

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghan P. | Staff Accountant / Finance Analyst

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I find PEX very easy to use and extremely user-friendly. It has lots of features that work well with QuickBooks, which we currently use for our financials. The integration between PEX and QuickBooks is almost seamless, making it very convenient for our operations. This integration is particularly important as it aids in monthly reporting and is just the easier form to use once you get the hang of it.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I don't like that for bulk loading, we have to use a second app instead of having it integrated directly into PEX. It should just be built into PEX so you can do a bulk load without using an additional app. Also, there are some kinks in the system that need to be worked out, like how it pulls information. Sometimes a card gets declined, not because of money but due to other reasons.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX makes it easier to handle disbursements with prepaid cards, avoiding the need for multiple cards. It integrates almost seamlessly with QuickBooks, which helps with reporting and is user-friendly. This simplifies monthly financial tasks.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback. It is great to hear the QuickBooks integration has been helpful for reporting and that PEX has simplified disbursements for your team.

We appreciate you calling out the bulk loading experience and the issues you have seen with declines. Please reach out to us at adminsupport@pexcard.com so we can hear more about the kinks you are experiencing and take a closer look at what is happening. Thanks again for the thoughtful review and input.

 ### 12. Easy, Fee-Free Way to Keep Company Resources Running Smoothly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisbeth Johana P. | Finance Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

An easy way to help your company get enough resources to run smoothly, without interest or maintenance fees.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I don’t have admin access, so I couldn’t check whether the update would make my tracking role easier, as they tried to explain.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s the quickest way I’ve found to solve any money-related problems from any location, simply by following the proper workflow in my company.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> We’re glad to hear PEX has helped make managing company spending quick, simple, and accessible from anywhere — all without added fees.

 ### 13. Efficient Fund Distribution, Quick Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose G. | Director of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I like that PEX is fast in generating new credit cards. It allows us to have a flexible balance per credit card, and if we need to increase it at any time, it's easy to do that as well. Additionally, it keeps track of all the transactions that the company needs to make, so we can operate efficiently, in a good way.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I wish that working with receipts and memos for the receipts after transactions were easier. After a transaction is made, we need to ensure that the cardholder sends back to PEX, the receipt and writes a memo about the transaction. This process is usually very manual and cumbersome.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use PEX to create virtual credit cards, distribute funds to team members, and allow them to pay for necessary services. It's fast at generating new cards, offers flexible card balances, and efficiently tracks company transactions.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for sharing this feedback. It is great to hear that creating cards, adjusting balances, and tracking transactions has been fast and flexible for your team.

We also appreciate the note around receipts and memos. If you have not already, features like Auto Enforcer and in app reminders can help reduce manual follow up by prompting cardholders to submit receipts and notes automatically. Input like this helps us continue to improve those workflows. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review.

the only down side we have see is the issue with the fact that with the debit cards the merchant can push through a charge if it is more then on the card.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pex has solved our problem with elimanting reimbursement checks with the cards.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

 ### 16. Easy, Accurate, Complete

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paulette R. | Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I can restrict the users from spending when transactions go untagged.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I still struggle with users not tagging transactions. This is not a PEX problem, per se.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX eliminates the need for several manual tasks.
* Debit cards make it real-time spending.
* Tagged transactions make it real-time accounting results
* Elimnates the need for employee reimbursements.

 ### 17. Quick Setup with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Myles C. | Accountant

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I like how PEX allows us to issue per diem cards and allocate funds instantly. The platform also supports setting spend restrictions, which is really helpful. I appreciate the user interface; it's simple and easy to use. We were able to transition to PEX quickly, getting set up with cards in just seven days.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I wish there was a way employees could use the card at an ATM and get cash back, and they could just cover the surcharge from the ATM, but they would at least be able to have cash if they so chose. There is no direct integration, which makes it hard.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PEX to issue per diem cards and allocate funds instantly. It's easy to set up, taking just 35 minutes, and offers spend restrictions that our old platform didn't.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> It is great to hear your team was able to get up and running quickly and that issuing per diem cards, allocating funds instantly and setting spend restrictions have been working well for you. I've had a few issues when issuing new cards to teammates new to PEX - it's not always clear where the card is in the process/ tracking it. There have been a couple of occasions where we've had to have the cards resent a few times. Also, from my side as an administrator, it's not always clear how the process of setting up that card is going for my teammate.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PEX to allow multiple leaders in our church to make purchases using budgeted funds, enabling more team members to pay for church expenses easily.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear the platform is easy to use and that the expense tools are helpful for tracking spend over time. It’s great to see PEX supporting your team in managing church expenses more easily, and we’re always here if you need help along the way.

I like using PEX for money management and keeping our company account straight. It helps with time and visibility. The reports feature is also something I find useful. Overall, I would highly recommend PEX.

I need to have more than one schedule for card funding. I want to be able to add money to my cards on the 1st and the 15th, and currently, I cannot do that.

**Reviewed by:** Kim J. | Finance administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

The dashboard I use to view transactions and see who charged what is great. I can run reports and customize it to be user-friendly. I’m just starting to add Tags so I can delegate charges to different departments.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

There is nothing I dislike at this point. Very customizable.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing technicians to use while on the road. We can see real time what they are charging and when they upload receipts and write notes is very important to us tracking expenditures.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for the review. Glad to hear the dashboard and reporting are giving you clear visibility into spend. Tags are a great next step and will make it even easier to track expenses by department or project. Also great to hear PEX is helping your technicians in the field while keeping everything visible in real time. If you want help optimizing Tags or reporting, we’re always here to help.

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I appreciate how easy it is to use, as well as the quality of the reports it generates. I also like the way it integrates smoothly with accounting software.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I really wish the physical cards offered cash back benefits, instead of limiting this feature to just the virtual cards.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX solves the challenge of managing employee credit cards by centralizing card issuance, spending controls, and receipt collection. This benefits us by improving visibility into spending, simplifying receipt management, and reducing manual follow-up and reconciliation.

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

The ease of the apps, online interface and user friendly experience.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I have just started utilizing this at our company two months ago so I have yet to run into any issues!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miriam M. | Expectant/Birth Parent Counselor, Individual & Family Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I am able to see where the money is being spent and when.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

When there is a negative amount in account. Card should not allow overdraft.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me control when and how much money goes onto a debit card. As I mentioned earlier, I can now see where and when the money is being used. It also means less check creation and distribution.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for sharing this. We are glad to hear the real time visibility into where and when spend occurs has been helpful and that PEX is reducing the need for checks.

 ### 29. Improving User Experience based on user feedback

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

PEX is very easy to use and is always coming up with new features to improve experience.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

Sometimes AI doesn't suggest the correct tags. I'd rather have a choice not to use the AI feature than see incorrect tags.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really like the auto enforcer feature. I did not know about this feature until the webinar, so we will likely be using it soon.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> It is great to hear PEX has been easy to use and that Auto Enforcer stood out as a valuable feature after the webinar.

If you do not find AI tag suggestions helpful, you can turn them off by navigating to Business settings > Profile and disabling the “AI tag suggestion” option. ### 30. PEX Makes Company Credit Card Management Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clayton K. | Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

PEX provides a user-friendly portal that makes managing our company's credit cards incredibly easy. Whether it's adding new cards or categorizing transactions, PEX helps our company save both time and money every day. Our onboarding customer support representative ensured that implementing PEX into our daily operations was a seamless transition. The integration between PEX and our accounting software, QuickBooks, makes using our credit cards even more convenient.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

The only downside to PEX was transferring all of our recurring transactions from our old credit company while closing it out!

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX helps solve issues such as categorizing expenses, reconciling statement periods, & managing each department's budget seamless.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks so much for the great feedback! We're glad to hear PEX has made managing your company cards simple and efficient. It’s great that the QuickBooks integration and onboarding experience helped streamline things. ### 31. Highly Customizable Dashboard That Feels Truly Personalized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Briana S. | Senior Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2026

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I really appreciate the many ways the Dashboard lets us tailor and personalize our experience.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

So far, I haven’t noticed anything that’s holding me back.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX allows our team to adjust credit limits quickly, transactions populate in the system for submission reasonably fast, and the review and approval process for accounting is straightforward.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> We’re glad to hear the dashboard feels customizable and personal to your team. Giving admins flexibility to tailor views, limits and workflows is something we put a lot of thought into, so it’s great to know that’s coming through. ### 32. Pex Solved 7 years of passing around credit cards, receipt tracking, and phone sales,

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave F. | Director of Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

That you can order cards as you need them for new staff, if someone leaves, you can just de-activate the card. That is a certain level or protection and comfort my business needs.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

Once I accidentally closed/deleted all the cards, It was a stupid mistake, but was too easy to make. The couldn't just turn them back on, once they are closed you have to order all new cards with all new numbers. This is a very shallow dislike because i really had to think of something.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the needs for individual credit cards for individual managers, as well as managing a line of credit, and receipt/expense collection and reporting. With this system it doesnt matter how many managers we issue cards to because we are able to control the cash that flows to the and put spend rules on the cards. Then it is super easy to photograph and upload your receipts as soon as you make a transaction. It has saved hours of my time tracking down receipts as well as worrying if cards are being mis-used, or if an employee leaves have to track down that credit card.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for sharing such a thoughtful review. We're glad to hear that PEX has brought your team peace of mind and made managing cards, receipts, and spending so much easier. Being able to issue and deactivate cards quickly is one of the key ways we help teams stay flexible and secure.

Thanks again for being a customer and for taking the time to share your experience.

 ### 33. Effortless Expense Management with Real-Time Visibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I like the real-time visibility and user-friendly platform of PEX. The app is simple enough for users who aren't tech-savvy, and the real-time visibility aids in budget forecasting.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I don't like the custom report generation for settled transactions and the inability to see the history of digest reminders sent.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX limits employee expense reimbursements, gives us total control over funding, and eliminates vendor setup time for one-time purchases. Its real-time visibility aids in budget forecasting, and the user-friendly platform is simple for non-tech users.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks so much for the kind words! We're glad the admin customization is making weekly reconciliation smoother for you. Sounds like you're getting the most out of the platform — and those receipt reminder prompts can definitely help keep your team on track.

 ### 34. Flawless Expense Management, Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chase C. | Director of Finance and Frachise, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I use PEX for corporate expense management, and I like its ease of use. It helps control spend and tracks expenses efficiently. PEX works great and its reports integrate well with our accounting software. The initial setup was very easy, and I'd rate my likelihood of recommending it a 10.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

Limited reporting flexibility and occasional delays or friction in transaction categorization and receipt matching make deeper analysis and reconciliation more time-consuming than it should be.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PEX for corporate expense management, which helps control spend and tracks expenses. It's easy to use and works well with our accounting software.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for the thoughtful review and for the strong recommendation. We are glad to hear PEX has been easy to set up and helpful in controlling spend and keeping expenses in sync with your accounting system.

We also appreciate the honest feedback on reporting flexibility and transaction categorization and receipt matching. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience and for trusting PEX with your expense management.

 ### 35. Great resource for team spending

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa W. | CFO, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

This has reduced my time processing reimbursements significantly. It gives our employees more flexibility when buying company items. They don't have to go out of pocket and wait for reimbursement. I use PEX cards at 2 different organizations that I work with. Highly recommended!!

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

The auto funding has limited options. It only offers auto funding on certain days. The sync between scheduled transfers & scheduled card funding is not clean. I would prefer to transfer on the last day of the month, then autofund on the first day of the month. When it tries to do both, some cards don't get funded...then I get phone calls.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending reimbursement checks via mail or ACH monthly. Both of those options cost. Gives employees flexibility. Easy to add funds at a moment's notice from my phone.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> We're so glad PEX is helping you save time on reimbursements and making it easier for your team to make purchases without waiting to get paid back. We’ve shared your feedback with our product team to explore future enhancements. One suggestion that might help is using auto card funding along with daily or monthly spend rules to better control timing. Feel free to reach out to customersuccess@pexcard.com if you’d like more details.

 ### 36. Great Product however customer support is slow to provide resolution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathy L. | Account Payable and Receivable Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

We love how easy the receipt capture and tag coding is. We were preparing expense reports for each person with a credit card prior to using PEX. This is a huge time saver for our staff and admin support.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

The least helpful are the support team when we have integration issues. We have had multiple integration issues with Quickbooks desktop. As of today we cannot close our June books. An internal ticket was filed on 7/10 for this issue. Communication has been very poor in resolving this issue. This has occurred on multiple occasions since we joined July 2023.0

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No longer needing 25 employees to complete expense reports and then finance department having to enter those expenses into quickbooks. PEX is a huge time saving tool for both users and admins.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for the feedback and for sharing how PEX has helped save your team time on expense reports. We’re glad to hear the receipt capture and tagging features have made a positive impact.

I looked into your case, and from what I can see, our support team was responsive and actively working with our engineering team to resolve the QuickBooks Desktop integration issue that you mentioned. Based on the latest update, it looks like the issue has been resolved, which is great news!

That said, I completely understand how delays during a month-end close can be frustrating. We appreciate your patience and will continue working to improve communication and turnaround time on these types of requests.

 ### 37. PEX make managing stipends simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan D. | Alumni Counselor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

It is extremely simple to disperse money to cardholders. It is also very easy to restrict certain vendors so I know that the money is being used for it's intended purpose. Support has always been extremely helpful and quick to solve any issues that I have had.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

The only issues to using PEX is that our cardholders often need to rent certain supplies, but this type of card will not all it to be used for a rental.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use PEX to give stipends for students to have money for books and supplies through their college semesters. Before we used PEX, we used gift cards that were extremely limited and couldn't be used at certain places. This meant that students often couldn't buy their books at their own school bookstore. This used the money for things it was not intended for. It also meant that it could be used anywhere and would again be used on anything without any knowledge of how it was used. The ability for students to be able to use this card in person or online and being able to limit the places it can be used has allowed the money to be used in its intended way and more effectively.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for the great review! We're happy to hear that PEX has made it easier to manage stipends and ensure funds are being used as intended. It’s great to know our support team has also been helpful along the way.

We understand that rental-related transactions aren’t supported with your current card product. That’s a common limitation with prepaid cards. If this is a frequent need, we do offer a Credit Expense solution that supports a wider range of transaction types, including rentals. You can learn more here: https://www.pexcard.com/pex-credit-expense/

 ### 38. PEX is a great tool for any business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen D. | Accounts Receivable Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

PEX makes the process very easy to submit receipts. The notifications help make it easy so you never forget to log a receipt. As an administrator, I like how easy it is to review funding requests and view transactions for approvals.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

The only downsides seem to be when people don't attach receipts or tags but PEX is always creating new ways to help and now there is a new tool for that!

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX is good for people in our company who don't need a full credit card.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're so glad to hear PEX makes it easy to manage receipts and approvals while keeping your team on track with notifications. We appreciate you noticing our ongoing updates to improve receipt and tag management, it’s great to see those enhancements making a difference.

 ### 39. Flexibility for spending and built in internal controls

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Director of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2024

**What do you like best about PEX?**

We use the pre-paid debit card feature on the pex cards, and I really like the flexibility of adding funds to cards as spending comes in cycles. The same team member might have very little expenses 10 months out of the year, and a lot of expenses during high traffic times, and this gives us the flexibility to add and remove funds easily. I also like the built in reviewing and approvals for great internal controls.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

Car rental companies do not like pre-paid debit cards. I know that is not something that you can control, but that is probably the only thing that keeps us from exclusively using Pex.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pex gives us the flexibility to issue several cards to our team members and give them various funding amounts, so we can ease into the use of cards as trust is established. It makes purchasing easier for our entire team.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thank you for your review! We're glad PEX’s flexibility and internal controls are helping streamline your team's spending. While we can’t control car rental companies' policies on pre-paid cards, we do offer a Credit Expense solution that works well for rentals. You can learn more at https://www.pexcard.com/pex-credit-expense/ or reach out to customersuccess@pexcard.com to schedule a demo. Thanks again!

 ### 40. PEX Usage for a larger company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose C. | Sr Accountant & PEX admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2024

**What do you like best about PEX?**

What we like most about PEX is the ease of use for our multitude of employees. We have 200+ cards issued to all our employees and it takes very little training for people to use and learn how to code. It has helped us pay vendors and get projects completed quickly with little paperwork from our accounting department.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

Having a person to reach out to for errors or issues that are ongoing and persistent would be very helpful. Our rep hasn't always been helpful and available to us.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to the simplicity of swiping a card, we have lowered the paperwork and delays in paying vendors. We've also not had to setup credit accounts with larger box stores as we can just prefund the PEX cards.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> We're glad to hear that PEX has been easy for your large team to use, and that it has helped streamline vendor payments and project completions with minimal paperwork for your accounting department. I’d love to hear more specifics on the tech issues you’re experiencing and how we can support getting those resolved. Please contact us at customersuccess@pexcard.com, and we can connect directly to review your account. It’s great to know that PEX has reduced paperwork and simplified vendor payments for your organization. We look forward to continuing to support your business needs!

**What do you like best about PEX?**

not having to create expense reports, realtime data. Our dedicated rep, Sarah Crow, has been phenomenally supportive throughout the onboarding process

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

very difficult to set up. User groups are cumbersome, overcomplicated and difficult to understand setup/set up correctly

 ### 45. Streamlines Expense Management with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex W. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I like how PEX codes each expense to different jobs correctly. I enjoy everything that PEX does for our business. The initial setup of PEX was very easy, although slightly time-consuming.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

Our employees not uploading receipts timely but that is on us.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEX streamlines expenses, codes expenses, creates limits for individuals, and imports data into our financial systems.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> Thanks for the great feedback! We’re happy to hear PEX is keeping your purchases organized and job-coded — and that our support team has been there when you’ve needed us. If you haven't looked into Auto Enforcer, it could be a great resource to support with your team uploading receipts in a timely fashion.

 ### 46. Swift Card Funding with Supportive Team, Needs Better Bulk Upload Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon L.

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about PEX?**

I appreciate the easy onboarding process with PEX, as the training was very straightforward. The support team was helpful in facilitating the ordering of cards. The ease of funding cards efficiently stands out, and I also like the detailed business and transaction reports available.

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I found that more guidance would have been helpful when uploading a CSV file for a large quantity of PECS cards. It was challenging to navigate the ordering of multiple cards using a CSV file. Also, card declining for our referrals is another issue I faced.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find PEX simplifies funding plumber referrals, allowing quick card funding with readily available funds. The business and transaction reports enhance management efficiency.

**Official Response from Zach Reichenberger:**

> We're happy to hear the onboarding process was smooth and that our team was helpful in getting your cards ordered and funded quickly. We appreciate your feedback about the bulk card upload process, this can be tricky the first time. We recommend reviewing our step-by-step guide for creating bulk card orders here: https://support.pexcard.com/s/article?name=000001132-How-to-Create-a-Bulk-Card-Order

**What do you dislike about PEX?**

I must say that PEX cards works for our business and helps to manage fund with individual, the only features I must recommend is ability to load fud multiple cards at once or an EDI file enables on the portal.

**What problems is PEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving issue transparency in spending for individual clients, and this helps to track and eliminate unnecessary and non-business-related expenses.

**What do you like best about PEX?**

The ability to quickly replenish funds
Access to reporting is easy and quick; however not customizable on your own.
Ability to attach receipts and add notes in real time.

Managing the spend rules. Knowing what categories to open for certain merchants can be difficult.
The delay in decline notifications.
The inability to turn off the access to the reimbursement feature.
