It's all in one place. **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** The donor tracking is very basic. The number of keystrokes required to enter one donation is high. The donor reports are limited and difficult to create. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** PowerChurch provides very basic donor tracking, which is what we use it for. ### 2. It allows unlimited users and each user has a customized access level. It was especially helpful when the church and office were closed during Covid. **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** This app is very robust. Therefore, it is complex and requires training. It took us a while to get things all set up -- chart of accounts, budget, payroll taxes, etc. But once it was done, things run very smoothly. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a very small church with a part-time administrator. Therefore, everything is done by volunteers. Paying the bills, running payroll for our four employees (pastor, administrator, organist, sexton), and printing the monthly budget updates for the committees have helped us keep all our records straight, create a clear paper trail, and can be audited easily. Help is good when you call in. It has many features for contributions, accounting, membership lists and directories. It just takes a little time to learn where everything is located. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChurch Plus:** There is a company called Answer to a Prayer that helps set this up for your organization and I would recommend using them. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has made it a lot easier to keep records of all of our contributions and accounts payable. It saves me a lot of time and helps to make sure all of my reporting is accurate. ### 5. At one time we used this also for payroll, however due to the time it took for one person to keep track of payroll and all that's involved we moved to outsourcing payroll. **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** Possibly the one drawback for PowerChurch Online is its speed. Since it is all webbased there is some drag in the network when you are inputting information into the databases. Also there seems to be way to many menu options that it becomes hard navigating to the correct page or pages. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem that we have solved with this software is it's ability to cover al expenses required to maintain and run a church ministry. This can all be handled by one person that only works a few hours out of the week. ### 6. There are numerous reports that are built in that make it extremely easy to find the members that are missing at different times throughout the year according to their giving habits. Also you are able to create custom reports to achieve needs based on what is happening at different times of the year sort of like running graphs or bar charts. **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** I wish this were able to allow for more custom reporting from the expenses. The expenses part of the program is where it is lacking compare to some of the other software companies that are similar. However, this is only a small issue that is easily resolved with accurate reporting and inputing of infomration. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChurch Plus:** Make sure that you have all of your information ready to be input when you transition to this program. They do offer services where they will take the infomation from your old programs and move over to this software, however that is at a cost that you can save by doing it yourself if you have the time and the information. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gives us one platform that we can monitor and control all incoming and outgoing monies. There are many more benefits of using this program that we haven't even tapped into yet. Once we achieve full implementation it will erase the needs of having multiple programs. ### 7. This system also has a calendar that is very useful for scheduling events. This system also has a contribution module that allows you to manage the money donated by people and integrate it into another system in order to take it to an accounting system. more precise. I really like the interface, since it is friendly, and very understandable, this system is compatible with the network and allows the pastor to keep his work schedule and his sermons in order, quickly and easily. I also liked that this system is not expensive and it is very useful. **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** At the moment I have no complaints about this system, rather I am grateful for that person who had the idea of creating a software as versatile and easy to manage as Powerchuch plus. I think it can be improved a bit more, but as I said before, I do not have any complaints. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChurch Plus:** I feel very grateful with this complete system and I recommend it without any doubt, I know that since you start using it you will be amazed at all the things that it does. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Thanks to this system, I can have a clear and quick 360 ° view of all departments that make life in the church, in order to save the pastor time in his decision making and to see what things are affecting each department and to be able to apply the necessary corrections and on time. We like that it's all in one package. **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** The accounting software is more difficult to use than Quickbooks, and the interface is a little dated. They seem to add new technological features after other major CMS programs. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been more organized, all our records as far as phone numbers, emails, addresses, etc. are streamlined without having to enter the data multiple places. The software is pretty easy to learn, and it also catches mistakes pretty well before you post things permanently. ### 12. It makes it very easy to make sure kids are safe and secure, and that we know specifics about our kids (allergies, parent safety information, etc.). **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** The one issue I run into with Power Church is that the data entry requires a little bit of run around when it comes to pulling up names. For instance, I have a blended family that has one child with a different last name than the other members. If my workers go to search for this person, they don't find it under the family name. A way to connect those would be helpful. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChurch Plus:** Make sure that you have a good label printer for your check out program. It helps a lot to have a nice printer to pair with the check out system. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem that PowerChurch helps us with is keeping kids safe and secure when they are in our building. We have had some custody type issues with kids, and at certain points parents were not legally allowed to be with their kids. PowerChurch gives us the opportunity to know who can come and go with our kids, and takes out any guesswork when you have a rotation of different individuals coming in and out. ### 14. When inputting new profiles, the filled forms are very distinct and distinguishable. It's also possible to select multiple classes/grades at the same time by specifying the range of class codes sought. This does become one of my most frustrating pieces, though. **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** If you don't have each group's ID number or class code written down/memorized, it's difficult to navigate. I have spent several fruitless hours trying to track down a certain age group or class only to find that I didn't have the correct class code. It's also difficult to specify classes, even with the right codes: the format requires you to select a range of class codes, which can be frustrating. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChurch Plus:** Just make sure to be trained on it by someone with experience! **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** PowerChurch does allow us to easily group individuals with multiple classes (ex: Johnny is in this Bible Study as well as this Small Group). With this feature, our church can efficiently see at a glance how many different activities an individual might be part of, or which ministries might be lacking. ### 15. When I called in for assistance the tech was curt and dismissive. I've been told that there are additional charges with requests for online assistance so I avoided it after my first call -- no point in paying someone who doesn't want to talk to me. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChurch Plus:** Look at all available software before buying or subscribing to this. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** This should be user friendly because it is mostly used by people who are not entirely computer literate -- Instead, it's like something designed for an old windows OS. The usable functions of the software are captured inside an outer box with no way to pull the working section away onto another desktop to work on what is under the active screen unless the outer box is fully expanded across two screens. I would not use this software if I did not have to, but apparently it's inexpensive so the church uses it. ### 20. Check-in for Sunday mornings is a nightmare. The system itself is outdated, which makes it hard to keep every profile updated. Mass emails are outdated and not attractive, which makes it hard to entice people to read emails from the church. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChurch Plus:** Do not get this product if you are looking for something simple, clean and up to date. In some cases, you have to pay them to configure certain reports for you. **What do you dislike about PowerChurch Plus?** We have used powerchurch for 3-4 years and are in the process of swapping to a competitor. Everything they do is outdated. This product is at least 10 years behind and the company seems to be doing nothing to catch up. Our church of 800 had a problem in one situation and were told there other larger churches were having issues and they would get back to us. I would recommend a simpler, more up to date church CRM such as SimpleChurchCRM or one of the other options. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChurch Plus:** I wouldn't do it. **What problems is PowerChurch Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is nice to have the database on my phone, but it is nowhere near the product offered by nearly all competitors. ### 26.
