Also giving is available on the PC app. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Giving?** Nothing really stands out as a dislike, other than some of the backend processing is MUCH slower than what we have used before. Checks take much longer to process and scanning is very slow. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Giving:** Make sure the person who is doing all the backend operations has time in their schedule to take on the extra duties involved with planning center giving. it is not as simple as other software out there. **What problems is Planning Center Giving solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lower fees and we are able to perform better giving reports for the congregation. ### 5. We integrated it into a church that by and large did not have a high percentage of online givers. We jumped from 30% online giving to almost 70% online giving with it a month. The platform is really easy to use and easy to set up. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Giving?** Really nothing at this point. There are a few things that you have to get right early on in the administration set up side to make it easy to use on the user end but overall it is excellent. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Giving:** Do you the work on the front end to make sure that the roll out for your people is a really good experience utilize planning sitters help center as a resource they are great! This was a much easier transition than we thought it was going to be. **What problems is Planning Center Giving solving and how is that benefiting you?** Especially with COVID-19 shutting things down we needed a quick and easy way to establish an online giving platform to allow for our congregation to still maintain giving as part of their regular worship practices this solved that for us. ### 9. Their Giving platform is beautiful, it works seamlessly, and is easy for congregation members to use — even the older ones who are tech averse. That’s the best part. It works and is easy to use. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Giving?** There really isn’t anything I dislike. It was easy for our entire team to learn. We also appreciate the pricing point and the ever-developing feature list. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Giving?** I don't love that the text-to-give option is location based and then doesn't show the organization you are logged in with. The way it is set up limits use for non-profits without a specific location. It is also poses a problem for our church if people go to more than one location in our area that uses Planning Center. Right now we have a neighbor ministry that uses PC, but not specifically the giving app. If they switch to it, it will be harder to navigate the text to give for those who attend both. Not a common situation, but it actually caused me to not want to use the text to give option for my non profit, because it will be confusing which company they are logged into if they go to the event of the non profit, as well as the church. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Giving:** Do it! We love it from every angle so far, and haven't run into any issues. **What problems is Planning Center Giving solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use this at a church and for a nonprofit. We are able to have a cohesive giving system that is easy for both the user and the administrators. At the church, we love that we can join all the forms of giving into one database system. ### 11. I also appreciate how quickly they respond back to my emails with questions/problems I have. Not all answers have been satisfactory (i.e. the feature is not yet supported) but they are quick to try to find a solution for me. There is a group of users on slack that is helpful to see what others are doing or ways they have solved problems. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Giving?** I don't like that we currently can't have giving units (households) - it has to be by individual. That being said I believe they are close to adding in that feature … it just hasn't happened yet. While I understand why they only allow giving (and not payments for items) it would be nice if there was a feature to allow non-tax-deduction payments rather than recording it on a separate spreadsheet. I have yet to figure out a good way to reconcile my statements at the end of the month. I currently do a lot of things manually after printing out sheets and am still working on figuring out a way to make this smoother. I don't like that the fee for each donation is attached to the donation rather than a fee that is just charged to us monthly … this messes up my accounting a little bit and I have to work around that. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Giving:** Make sure it can produce the reports you want based on how you have your giving set up. Make sure the donors are willing to make the switch. It has taken awhile to get our donors all moved over from our other platform. **What problems is Planning Center Giving solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our attendance, registration, and giving are all on one platform and can work together and access the same database. This is a plus. We've also recently added a check reader. Initially, we have to enter things with each check and the checks sometimes take a few swipes to go through. I'm hoping in the long run, it saves us time which would reduce hours to enter deposits. ### 12. Using PCO Giving has helped our regular givers to maintain their recurring donations, gather end of the year statements (automatic) and change their giving options easily. ### 13. You do not have to try and make a business software work for religious needs. I can use my other Planning Center tools, as well as MailChimp, my email marketing tool. I can also use and am exploring a background check tool that is directly connected to PC. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Giving?** The necessity to have a login link sent to you when you give online through a browser (laptop or desktop). Why do they make you do this? I'm not quite sure! The other area that I'm not crazy about is the fact that you can add multiple ways for people to give (excellent), but there is no "notes" area for people to explain more on their gift. In other words, they can drop down to "Student Missions Trips", but not put in a specific missions trip "Nicaragua" "Russia". Having had multiple trips in the past, this would be super helpful! **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Giving:** If you are going Planning Center for all your database, PCG makes sense. On it's own, I don't know how it would do in integrating with other systems. **What problems is Planning Center Giving solving and how is that benefiting you?** PCG gives us the ability to cut down on workload hours by seamlessly connecting to other PC products, specifically PCPeople. PCG also gives me the ability to do several jobs at once rather than skip from program to program to do multiple tasks, I can do them all in one consistent product. ### 18.
