What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I have been delighted with the rapid data flow from BILL to our accounting platform. From transaction to approval to data synchronization, there is very little to no friction in the process. What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

When BILL Spend & Expense (formerly Divvy) and BILL AP first integrated, it took a little while to make the platforms feel like one system, which is understandable. Tech support is still fairly siloed, and hopefully the company will continue to invest in and improve reducing silos of knowledge and experience among their 2nd and 3rd line support staff. "Great Quickbooks Sync, But Occasional Sync Issues with Some Employees"
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I like that employees are able to enter class, account, and vendor information. I also like that Bill Spend and Expense is able to sync with Quickbooks. I Usually enter most of the data into our company's Quickbooks system so this helps me out a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

Sometimes transactions will not sync. I notice that is it always specifically three employees whose transactions will not sync. Also, since some employees already has a bill.com account, signing up for Bill Spend and Expense was a bit tricky because they experienced many hiccups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I appreciate how easy BILL Spend & Expense, formerly Divvy, is to use for both accountants and non-accountants. It's user-friendly and simplifies the process of tracking employee expenses. The setup was incredibly smooth with assistance from a Divvy representative, making the transition seamless. I love that it has effectively solved the problem of tracking receipts, by requiring users to upload them with their charges, which allows us to monitor spending more closely than when we used Amex. The feature that lets me see charges hit the Divvy card immediately on my phone and upload receipts in real-time, such as when I'm at a restaurant, is extremely useful for keeping track of categories and locations. "Empowers Budget Control, But Needs Better Reporting and Rollover Options"
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

I can control my business spending with the budgets I set up and assign staff to those budgets. My staff then have the flexibility to purchase what they need within their budget and view their balance and purchases in the app. From an administrative perspective, freezing accounts, editing budgets, and tracking receipts is so simple in the app. It saves me so much time. I do not care for how the end of month statements are formatted. I much prefer something more streamlined with the ability to print different reports showing additional information, if needed. I also wish there was an option for unused portions of staff budgets to roll over to the next month or quarter, so long as there is enough available credit to do so. "Effortless Reconciliation and Automation, Minor Hiccups with Card Freezing"
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

We require everyone to reconcile their cards. And the fact that Bill immediately has the transaction available to reconcile as soon as the card is charged, makes it so easy for each card holder to reconcile simultaneously. Also the fact that Bill will automatically freeze a users card if they don't reconcile within 30 days is so great. I don't have to say anything, Bill takes care of it for me. It has allowed me being able to upload data to our GL so much quicker since everyone reconciles faster. And there are no nasty emails needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is very easy to use, not just for the end users (card holders) but especially for me as an administrator. I can easily see everyone's receipts, make sure things are categorized correctly, make sure that all the required data has been entered, reports are easy to run and edit because they are downloadable in excel. What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

One small request would be the ability to add additional information to the card transactions, i.e. project number. We send the spending to the projects and it would help a lot if we could have a customizable field that would let us make that connection that would automate the allocation function. "Effortless Expense Management, But Needs Automated Weekly Reports"
What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

Each ministry leader has their own card and puts in the details, account codes, budget info, and receipts for their own transactions. All I have to do is verify their information and occasionally correct a code or two. After much trepidation from the ministry leaders (volunteers), they love it, too. The learning curve was minimal, so integration was a breeze, and they use the cards all the time, saving me time from processing reimbursement checks, too! What do you like best about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

BILL Spend & Expense is has a user friendly interface and is a convenient way to manage expenses. I love that you can quickly categorize and upload a receipt for transactions via mobile device or desktop. This is helpful for daily spending.

The customizable controls are also helpful for differentiating and managaing project budgets.

Our Finance team also loves how BILL integrates smoothly with our accounting system!

The rewards feature is also a plus! This year, we're planning to use our rewards for an end of year holiday party.

Great expense system for managing spending with employees. It is easy to use and to explain. As the Bookkeeper, it is great that it syncs with our QuickBooks online and has made for an easy transition. All of our employees use it, and it is easy to implement and use often. What do you dislike about BILL Spend & Expense (Formerly Divvy)?

Bill Spend continues to improve. I love the ease of reviewing transactions. But I would like to see better budget settings and a request to review from the spender. The budget is a bit restricted in terms of the settings. It would be nice to have a monthly option with a yearly limit, but they meet our needs for now. I've been using BILL Spend & Expense for the past year in my small business, and it's hands-down one of the best tools we've adopted for managing expenses. What really stands out is how it's revolutionized our receipt matching process. No more digging through email inboxes or constantly hunting down receipts—card owners can now snap a photo of a receipt right from their phone and match it to a charge on the fly. This has cut our reconciliation time in half, freeing up hours each week for more strategic work.

The seamless sync with QuickBooks is another huge win. Transactions flow over automatically without any manual data entry or formatting headaches, keeping our books spotless and audit-ready.
