What I like most about SAP SuccessFactors HCM is how it simplifies HR-related tasks by keeping everything in one place. Things like leave applications, attendance tracking, approvals, and accessing employee information feel much easier and more organized. It saves time, cuts down on manual follow-ups, and creates a smooth experience for me, other employees, and managers.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

What I dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM is that some processes can feel a bit lengthy, particularly when several approvals are required. The portal can also be slow to respond at times, which makes it harder to quickly access attendance, leave, or employee information when you need it. In addition, new users may need some time to get comfortable navigating the different modules and features, since there’s a lot to learn at first.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM addresses the challenge of managing HR activities through multiple manual processes by bringing everything into one centralized platform. End-to-end employee lifecycle management: from recruiting and onboarding to performance, learning, and succession, everything is connected, which improves consistency and visibility across HR. Strong talent management capabilities: tools for performance reviews, goal tracking, and development planning help align employee growth with business objectives.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

Complex configuration and customization: Many modules require substantial setup, and more advanced changes often rely on consultants or in-house technical expertise.

User interface inconsistencies: While some parts of the UI feel modern, other areas look dated or vary from module to module, which can hurt overall usability.

User friendly interface on frontend. Also integration from IT perspective very ease to setup. Advanced security at the backend makes it trustable for business running large scale of user group. Various verticals created for companies to choose the products we need as per requirement.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

SAP SuccessFactors comes are higher price when compared to other products at the market. But this is usually expected out of SAP where pricing is always on higher side on any product.

**What problems is SAP SuccessFactors HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For user scale of 15K, from onboarding, recruiting to offboarding, payroll to users personal data is stored and managed by product which is widely trusted worldwide and hasn't seen a breach since build of the product to till date even though it has come as SaaS product making companies to have them accessible over the internet.

Comprehensive and detailed, end to end hire to retire solution. It has come a long way in UI and UX and integrations enhancements and updates. It can be interated with third party a lot better now and some lot of research has gone in it

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

It is still behind when it comes to evolving AI uses cases. And AI integrations. A lot of companies do not want to have Joule as a separate tool and they like to integrate in their existing AI platforms

**What problems is SAP SuccessFactors HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SmartRecruiters, I am looking into it. I need a robust recruiting platform with AI, analytics and something that would setup my candidate bench strength and help my leaders with the upcoming talent.

I like that SAP SuccessFactors HCM brings the entire employee lifecycle into one integrated platform with core HR, onboarding, and performance management all connected in a single system, making HR processes much more streamlined. I find the core HR feature providing a single accurate source of employee data like personal details, job information, reporting structure, and employment history very helpful. I appreciate how onboarding ensures new employees are productive faster and nothing gets missed. Performance management allows me to set goals, track progress, and conduct periodic reviews efficiently.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

In user interface and navigation, some tasks require multiple clicks or switching between modules. In reporting and analytics, creating custom reports often requires deep system knowledge, and the dashboard lacks flexibility for real-time ad-hoc analysis. There is room to expand the use of AI across the platform in more practical ways like smarter talent recommendations, resume and profile matching, attrition risk, and workforce planning. The setup was complex when integrating with other systems like payroll, ERP, or identity management tools.

The SAP Suceess Factors Recruitment & Onboarding modues promote greater visibility and accountability throughout the recruitment  talent pipeline- from approval to recruit through the pre-advert and advert stages, shortlisting, interviewing, assessment & Offer, onboarding & filled.

Each of the stage in the talent pipeline are tied with specific notifications that go out to the candidates everytime a candidate is dropped in these stages. To ensure the system is functioning well, recruiters are required to review the notifications from time to time to align with changes.

I like the ease of use for our employees and the way it looks.  Its very clean and easy to manage on the back end.  We very rarely have to reach out to SAP Support.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

I dislike how some issues are a one off issue that only SAP Support can fix and there is not any reasoning to the issue.  SAP Support can be on an opposite time zone that we are in and makes fixing issues lengthy.

**What problems is SAP SuccessFactors HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us manage all employees by integrating with other systems.  It is also helping us manage our LMS side of things with trainings, etc.  Its a very broad system that can do many things.

**What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

I really like the built-in AI functionality of SAP SuccessFactors HCM. It stands out because it suggests many tasks that can be automated. Earlier, we used to manage everything manually, but now, this AI integration helps us do things much more automatically. It makes our organization more autonomous by specifically helping us automate the capturing of feedback throughout the organization. This enables us to provide much more pointed feedback to our employees. The setup process for SuccessFactors is also very intuitive and easy, provided there's no big customization required.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

Now, the SuccessFactors navigation is not very user friendly. So if the navigation can be more user friendly, that will improve our performance and productivity much more.

I use SAP SuccessFactors HCM to streamline performance evaluations and appraisals, managing feedback digitally, and creating high-level assessments for performance reviews.

**What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

It is very friendly to the eye and easy to use. I have the ability to see the activity  on my dash board for my team and able to see the progress for each role and get notification on each status the candidate hits a specific workflow. I have the ability to bulk action messaging the candidates in the pipeline all at once , reject them at once, even adding tags or change status all at once. really making my job easier.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

Some fields I cannot bulk action like for ex, if I have 100 candidates and would like to confirm my ownership that these belongs to me, I cannot bulk action this and add my name as the recruiter, also within the job itself, there is search tab, it is very difficult to add the all candidates names there or email address as the system doesn't get it right so I can bulk select specific candidates to either reject or change to specific status, it is really consuming lots of time.

The portion where you can attach a calendar link for candidates to schedule a time within the job it self is really amazing and helping candidates to schedule asap which is the Auto-self scheduling.

The SAP SuccessFactors is a mighty and easy to use Human Capital Management solution. Sometimes with - for the enduser - complex processes, which on the global perspective have their necessity and are very much useful. Talent and Career Management I liked the most. which helps to track the yearly performance of employees and the advances in their carrier.

Usefull tools like an AI agent helping to define a SMART target were at that time missing in SuccessFactors. As far as I know this has been developed since already.

the end to end management of the workforce and the employees from both employer and employee perspective. It helps to track the development over time and the hiring process is supported with it aswell. Before this was mananged offline in sheets and documents.

SAP SuccessFactors is a unified platform that is straightforward to implement. At our company, we use it for recruitment as well as Employee Central to manage employee profiles. It is a one shop stop with multiple HR functions. It can be easily integrated with systems like ServiceNow.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

There are noticeable performance issues with SAP SuccessFactors. We've experienced significant delays when loading the platform, especially when accessing employee profile pages that contain a lot of information or detailed fields—it can take an extremely long time to load. Additionally, the system crashes frequently, which disrupts our workflow. The licensing pricing is also a concern, as it feels too high and lacks transparency.

This platform has really streamlined our HR processes. Previously, we relied on separate tools for managing employee data and recruitment, but now everything is integrated into one system. I appreciate that SAP SuccessFactors HCM is enterprise-grade software with global support for labor data processing. I also like the good integration with SAP ECC, making it work well as our learning management system. The seamless payroll processing and maintenance of training records add significant value for me.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

The user interface could be much more modern compared to competitor products like Workday or PeopleSoft. The integration of AI for employee self-service and mobile application support is not as strong as competitor products. Sentiment analysis, skills and competencies management, etc., are not as good as the competition. Post-merger data integration was very difficult, especially data migration.

Joule is SAP's AI assistant that works like a chatbot for HR. You can ask it to explain your paycheck, request time off, or clock in using simple chat. It also suggests new skills to learn and matches you with better internal job opportunities based on your experience.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

SuccessFactors often feels complicated because its different parts don’t always match. It can be hard to learn, making simple updates usually requires hiring expensive experts, and the reporting tools are sometimes frustrating to use compared to newer, simpler apps.

**What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

I use SAP SuccessFactors HCM for employee data management in our company. It gives me easy access to employee data for myself and my employees. I really like being able to access the information I need at a click of a button. The user experience (UX) is good too. We switched from Workday to SAP SuccessFactors because it integrates better with mobile. Also, the initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

I feel like SAP SuccessFactors HCM could improve by adding a chatbot feature. It would be really helpful to have a chatbot to guide us through transactions.

This end-to-end HCM suite offers a user-friendly interface and the flexibility of a cloud-based platform. Its analytics and reporting capabilities are powerful, and it supports continuous performance management. Additionally, it addresses global compliance and localization needs.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

User Experience Inconsistencies

Although the user interface has seen improvements, there are still noticeable inconsistencies between different modules. Navigating through various sections of the suite can sometimes feel fragmented, which may be particularly challenging for those who are new to the platform.

Integration Challenges

While integration with SAP systems is generally smooth, connecting to non-SAP tools—such as specialized payroll or learning platforms—can be more complex. These integrations often demand the use of middleware or the development of custom APIs.

SuccessFactors addresses this issue by bringing all these functions together on a single platform, which streamlines processes and reduces the need for manual intervention.

Another common issue is the lack of real-time workforce insights. When HR analytics are not easily accessible or actionable, it becomes difficult to make timely decisions. SuccessFactors helps solve this by offering built-in dashboards and analytics that deliver real-time information on employee performance, engagement, and potential turnover risks.

**What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

I like the ease of access to the whole leave dashboard in one snapshot and tracking and managing the review steps in the appraisal process. What works the best is the management of leaves; all the sick, casual, and privileged leaves can be planned in advance, and approval can be sought easily. The setup was quite easy, though it took some time to customize the software as per the organization's needs.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

I sometimes have system integration problems, like the biometric attendance timings not registering properly, so I have to regularize them manually. I'd also like a seamless connection and data download with Microsoft suite for easier management through office tools.

**What problems is SAP SuccessFactors HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP SuccessFactors for managing leaves and digitizing appraisals, which helps track leaves and manage appraisals easily, though it sometimes has system integration issues with our biometric systems.

**What do you like best about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

SAP SF provides an overall ERP process handling suite. Which covers multiple modules to support the Enterprise Resource Management. The major modules like Employee Central, RCM, ONB, etc. can also be interlinked to each other to allow me the data to flow smoothly between modules.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

SAP SuccessFactors can be improved by accepting the enhancement requests raised by clients. Currently, there are a lot of enhancement suggestion but only very few are considered by SAP to be improved. So SAP can improve their enhancements.

**What problems is SAP SuccessFactors HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the clients day to day challenges in Recruiting Management is being addressed by SuccessFactors tool. 
It helps client to organize their data and help the management to focus on process building

I like SAP SuccessFactors for offering a complete scalable HR solution with strong integration, compliance support, and robust talent management features. I find the integration between goal management and performance management in the talent reviews particularly beneficial. This helps in aligning individual goals with the organization's objectives and provides a structured, transparent performance evaluation process. I also appreciate the improvement in data accuracy and HR workflows with the use of a single, centralized platform.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

The UI can be complex, reporting and configurations require expertise, and integrations with non-SAP systems can be challenging. Navigation could be improved by making it more consistent across modules and reducing the number of clicks required to complete common tasks. Simplifying the screen layouts, improving search functionality, and offering more role-based or personalized dashboards would be more helpful and allow for quicker adaptation. Cross-module complexity and limited prebuilt integrations with non-SAP systems are the main challenges, increasing dependency on technical expertise. Basic setup was easy, but advanced configurations and integrations required effort.

I use SAP SuccessFactors for human capital management. It solved the problem of fragmented HR processes by centralizing employee data and improving data accuracy and HR workflows.

Takes bit time to get used it rest it is very good application to use. Highly recommend and few things can be made easier to understand it quickly. And training is also bit tricky

What I like best is the sheer number of features and the excellent ease of integration between all the different HR modules. It truly covers everything in one place. Because it's our central platform, the frequency of use is daily for the HR team, and it's essential to have everything from recruiting to performance goals integrated seamlessly. This creates a powerful, unified view of our workforce that we rely on for making important business decisions. It connects all the dots for us.

**What do you dislike about SAP SuccessFactors HCM?**

The main challenges are the poor ease of use and the difficult ease of implementation. The user interface is not intuitive for regular employees, which can make simple tasks frustrating and requires a lot of training. The initial implementation was a very long and expensive project that required significant external help. On top of that, getting effective customer support can be a slow process. It's often hard to get a direct and quick solution for technical issues when you need it most

SAP SuccessFactors solves the major problem of having our employee data scattered across many different spreadsheets and systems. The main benefit for us is that it brings everything into one central place. This gives us a single, reliable source for all our information, which makes our reporting much faster and our business decisions more accurate and data-driven.

The visual of the desktop site is appealing and home page and dropdowns are fairly easy to navigate. The learning management goals, and performance review modules are easy to use and straight forward.

The reporting modules and working throughout the site are clunky and take a while to navigate. Some search functions within the recruiting module take too much time and the ability to flip between requisitions/candidates, etc is inefficient

**What problems is SAP SuccessFactors HCM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize SAP SuccessFactors for our HR processes, including talent acquisition, goals, performance management, learning and development, onboarding and general HR admin. we have utilized SF for a while now for goals and L&D and it has benefitted us well and been easy to use. Since implementation of the recruiting module it is not as easy to use as our prior system

Additionally, I like that it is easily accessible anywhere, which is really convenient. The initial setup was hassle-free, which is always a plus for us.

The mobile app lacks all features. For appraisal review for individuals, the scoring is not available on mobile.

I like that SAP SuccessFactors HCM has replaced our homegrown edge system. It's important because it connects us to our enterprise network.

We still need to make sure that SAP SuccessFactors HCM is able to integrate with other SAP modules for an EPC Organization, otherwise, it's going to create silos within the organization. There were also teething troubles, and the implementation was long.
