What do you like best?

I like the fact that Purchase Orders can be entered into Ariba. This allows for approvals before making orders. The other thing is that invoices are received from the vendor directly into Ariba. They are then matched to the Purchase Order. The approvals in the Ariba system are then routed automatically through the system to the appropriate approval level. Also, the unit and account coding are already in the system based on the Purchase Order. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Firstly, invoices can get held up in the system if all of the approving managers are not promptly logging into Ariba and approving the invoices through the system. There are a lot of screens in Ariba, and it can be difficult to find the information you want. Finally, Ariba is pretty expensive. In the past year, we ended up ending our use of Ariba based on cost. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Ariba helps to eliminate manual processing of invoices. It also becomes a repository where invoice copies are retained. Ariba creates an accrual every month based on the purchase oders in the system. Ariba is a costly system, and it is often difficult to get executives to approve the invoices in the system to get these invoices paid promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

SAP Ariba is the best platform for seamless procurement. The best part of the e-procurement software is the network created between the buyers and suppliers. This makes work 10 times easier and helps review and update documents on the go. Creating sourcing projects, auctions and contracts have never been easier. With utmost simplicity and precision, the software helps every process go digital in the most effective manner possible. A few key add ons to the Software are-

What do you like best?

_Potential_ to be great if you manage multiple locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

IMPOSSIBLE to get troubleshooting help if you are on standard plan. This gets particularly tricky if You want to get help in merging with potential existing ANID companies that you should have access to. The very unfriendly take on Ariba website on contacting support does not improve our take on the service provider.

If you are a buyer - make a solid implementation plan.

What do you like best?

Its integration capabilities with SAP ECC and S4HANA and End to End Purchasing & supply chain collaboration functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The cost of licensing is a critical concern for SAP Ariba. The S/4 Cloud also needs to use SAP Ariba even though S/4 HANA purchasing itself is cloud based. It makes no sense to use two cloud based applicaiton to have cover full requirement of purchasing. What do you like best?

I have been using the SAP ARIBA tool for over three years now .Spend analysis and RFX are the best parts. Also SAP Ariba has an organized platform for vendor review.

It is extremely valuable and useful for the source to contract cycle and help us in getting a complete idea of the end to end procurement process as a category analyst.

What do you dislike?

nothing major comes across as a drawback to the tool however probably invoice details can be refined a bit more .

Otherwise the tool looks great from a user perspective

sometimes the link of the related tasks does not work

Also we have faced technical outage causing problems many a times

best tool to get inputs on negotiation as a category specialist

Every negotiation that I go back to Ariba and try and pull the spend details .Also the contract management module has multiple components for buyers to make an ideal sourcing strategy

Spend analysis and RFX are the best parts. Also has an organized platform for vendor review.

What do you like best?

It is very simple to use it, all suppliers are familiar with it's interface and outcomes. Easy to register new vendors, which automatically receive notification in case any changes done. What do you dislike?

Sometimes it doesn't show enough description regarding to errors during work with the tool. It would be good to have some more advice while shoving errors. Tool is really great for big companies, who is facing all type of activities, has thousands of translations per year. Standardized view allows teaching new employees very fast and doesn't require too much time, rather then learning some specific/new tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not all the suppliers has access to SAP Ariba, it takes some time to register supplier there.

What do you like best?

Starting from Procurement Execution Strategy to Recommendation of award, SAP Ariba has all in one platform. Not only receiving responses from different suppliers across the world but also cross-functional evaluation can be done through Ariba. Logs help you to monitor all the activities easily. It is also helpful for negotiating prices for leveraged items without taking so much of time.

I have been working on Ariba for almost 3.5years and my overall experience with SAP Ariba is great so far. It is user friendly, reports are thorough, monitoring is very easy. All activities strategic sourcing can be done on single platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

E -auction is highly effective and i extensively use Eauction for day to day purchases. if i want to recall i would like to quote one of the event i conducted last month in which I have achieved 200 Percent savings. It would be possible with ariba.

So far ariba e-auction is best available in the market and its modification is very user friendly and anyone with limited procurement knowledge can learn it quickly.

What do you like best?

Impartialilty & IT solutions which makes submission of Technocommercial offers easy in separate technical & commercial parts.

Sap Ariba provides a very easy way for the procurement needs of our organization. Earlier we were using Scope platform which was too complex plus all the things not working correctly as required. Infact when vendor was reying to upload his Technocommercial offer in Scope many of the times even after providing their details but no such problems in SAP ariba no such issues are encountered till date. Very easy & the best part is technical & commercial offers can be submitted separately. Sap ariba has provided very transparent solution for all the vendors & the purchase people too. What do you like best?

AS one of the oldest and most well-known procurement platforms it is solid, reliable and works well. Talks to all leading finance systems and has good reporting, analytics and purchasing functionality. Great for automating procure to pay processes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

As a big company, it is sometimes difficult to get timely support. Some of the newer, cloud-native apps are more user friendly, but SAP is investing lots in playing catch up here. The supplier experience is often confusing and difficult, to the extent that some suppliers refused to use the platform. Controversially, SAP Ariba or their clients make some large volume suppliers pay to transact with buyers via the Ariba network.

Maintaining current contract pricing (via Contract Terms in the Source to Contract Module) is incredibly labor intensive 0 this badly need to be automated somehow! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Implementing downstream (Procure to pay) modules greatly reduced maverick spend and enforced compliance to contracts. I have worked in platforms purchasing programs but SAP Ariba is the most intuitive, easy to use, logical and well-designed solution. With Ariba you can easily search, order, pay, modify or cancel goods and services, catalog and non-catalogs items.
