Very easy to use.
connectors are provided to connect with the variety of data sources.
No need to write and maintain complex codes.
UI is so best we can do data mapping through UI
easy to implement
supports all the file format
replicate large data set on the cloud
Security in data transition.
use proxies for data transfer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Informatica takes more time when you transfer a large file.
Prices are high for a small company.
No GDPR and Governance feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Infromatica cloud has great features which made us easy to push the data from legacy system (AS400) to our newly built system. It has a great user interface and a variety of connectors to integrate data between different systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Of course all the connectors are not free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Informatica helps us alot with respect to collecting data from different sources we have loge different digital assets and strong into single place and creating dashboards on it. It's really best thing available in market Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing such that I would say that I dislike in Informatica but yes Few recommendations can be added to make it better in future for example creating provision to do real time data analysis and also applying frw Machine learning algorithms or connectivity Witt Python language Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Real time tracking of web service callouts and the response from the target system is very helpful to track and monitor Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that I will have to monitor the flows between SFDC to IOD (Request / Response) and IOD to Siebel (Request / Response) separate from each other doesn't provide the end to end perspective. Though I can make it up by linking those two using the record IDs in Informatica. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Informatica Cloud gives lot of flexibility to have one stop tool for data integrations with cloud CRM platforms like Salesforce where the data can be replicated and loaded into target database with batch jobs without any manual intervention. Developing cloud mappings, tasks and scheduling the tasks through task flows are much easier than said. great cloud integration tool indeed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no specific thing which I dislike about informatica cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to replicate tables from one target to another. It takes care of all of the field type creation and adapts to new fields being created on the fly without having to alter the target. Very easy learning curve with a point and click interface. Regular business analysts who are not very technical can setup jobs as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No real ability to report on what jobs you have setup or the performance of those jobs (failures, number of records copied, etc.). It is only available within the user interface and you basically have to copy paste it from the browser if you want the information. Don't understand why they don't just make that available as another endpoint. Incremental jobs can run VERY slowly on large table updates. Incremental does not work at ALL for salesforce.com history tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Performance and new features . This tool is simple to use, efficient, flexible and also had the data security which is the best product that needs to helps customers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Connecting, applications and process with onsite systems yo the cloud system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has a really good user interface, hence easy to use for most of my ETL work.
Informatica provides a good customer support in case of any issues.
In case some one wants to learn this tool lot tutorial and videos available online. Some of which is provide is Informatica organization itself.
Due to its cloud based platform, it has an efficient backup system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a scope of improvement in user security Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First, the wizard is easy to use making the learning curve for simple ETL tasks nice
Second, since Informatica is mature there are a good variety of connectors available
Finally, we have driven some fairly complex ETL solutions using only Cloud Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The wizard, although easy to grasp, is very buggy. Many, many times we've lost work because of a bad page refresh or we click a certain sequence of options the UI didn't like. Very Frustrating.
One can save jobs within an environment but you can't backup your jobs locally, for example download the XML to duplicate or copy jobs around. And the feature to migrate jobs from one environment to another is unreliable and, when successful, only copies portions of the config. Almost always easier to rebuild from scratch. This makes moving from DEV to TEST to PROD difficult and, more important, undermines the QA process.
User community is not as active as one would expect with such a large customer base.
No one I have had experience with uses IOD by itself but always has a team leveraging PowerCenter to do complex work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best Integration tools in the IPAAS space. I was happy to Implement this for Infusionsoft and resolve our point to point integration issues and streamline our business process orchestrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Informatica lags behind Mulesoft in some areas and API management and discovery is one of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ease of use, we were able to implement several interfaces without the need of a trained developer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the upgrades are done on saturday evenings, as a retailer this is the worse time possible Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use, it is easily scalable and robust in the performance. You can connect to any other systems like SAP, Oracle ERP, MS Dynamics, Sage, ServiceNow, and Workday etc. It has hundreds of connectors. It's enterprise version is really a great upgrade if you want to scale up to your enterprise wide businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perhaps Informatica Cloud can develop a desktop tool to build mappings etc and a connector that can work with the development platform. Also building any customer connector could be challenging if you don't have much experience with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Data replication and sync with salesforce and on premise data.
If you are like many organizations that struggle with integrating with data created in salesforce then Informatica Cloud is a must for you. One of the challenges with integrating is that salesforce is changing all the time, and many of those changes are to objects (tables) that you are trying to integrate with. Informatica Cloud’s ability to dynamically replicate not only the data but the changes to the data schema. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of AD security integration for user and data connectors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Informatica cloud is very user friendly and ease of development for complex cloud based integration solutions. All data integration cloud services(i.e Data Sync, Data Replica, Migration) are designed to provide powerful integration solutions.
Inbuilt connectors for almost all of the cloud services.
Cheaper than other tools like Cast Iron and Relational Junction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing much but My understanding is IC would be a great tool if it could have flexibility for transforming the data like Dell Boomi, which has lot of inbuilt functions for data transformation and it also provides Groovy and Javascript for further manipluation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Informatica is a complex solution that is reliable and worry free. We have multiple systems that require accurate and reliable transfer of data on a daily basis. This information is vital to business, and Informatica took the time to understand our business and design a solution that works. I plan to use informatica for future solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I currently don't have a dislike for this product. The service is excellent as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of implementation. A consultant with basic know how to can integrate legacy systems with multiple applications. We used Informatica Cloud platform with SQL Server as underlying staging layer to integrate ERP System (multi version) housed on Oracle DB with Salesforce CRM (SQL Server) for over 15 Clients Entities. The seamless way in which we could implement it was very appreciable. It's cost effective compared with other effective tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As compared with the legacy ETL Tools, there are quite a limitations in the functionalities that we can achieve with this cloud based application. The performances of the Tasks which pushes data to the salesforce CRM takes a beating when high volumes of data are involved. We faced issues related to the batch size of the tasks. Reducing the batch size seriously deteriorates the performance of the tasks execution time, increasing the batch size gave too many sql queries issues while load, so had to play around with the batch size to optimize the performance and yet do away with the errors. The Informatica Cloud is a true enterprise cloud integration suite. Its thin client mapping application provides functionality for your most experienced PowerCenter user as well as Wizard-driven screens for your non-technical business user. The REST API allows for tight integration with corporate portals and/or mobile devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like to see more of the advanced features of PowerCenter included in the thin client tool (Rank, Union, Java Transformation, etc.). However, these are not the main transformation blocks utilized in a mapping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Powerful integrations at the click on a button, went from 0 to 100 jobs in the first month.
Now running close to 300 jobs per week, never let us down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
UI can be slow at times, inability to open tabbed view is disappointing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Salesforce integration it provides is the best part of it.
Also the custom mappings which are available Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Scheduling and unix interactions are not extensive.
Also in comparison to Powercenter it doesn't have File Watcher, Event Wait or Command Task which could have been helpfull Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Have used Informatica Cloud extensively for data migration from Global org to Domestic org (Salesforce) with ease...Love the application for its easy set up and use options. Was very helpful to automate data integration process from different source(flat files) to Salesforce. The best and cheap way to migrate/integrate data accurately with no experience on the tool. With the Informatica Cloud, companies can unify Salesforce data with the rest of your enterprise and ensure data accuracy, improve business decisions and operations, and derive maximum value from your CRM and force.com investment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not face any issues so far but compared to Informatica Powercenter there are some limitations to data filters and its functionalities. The process took little bit more time when compared DMAMPS and Data loader when dealing with large volume of the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
