"Good RMM without jumping through hoops"
What do you like best about Action1?

It's free for the first 100 endpoints, which is awesome. I am a small start-up and every little bit counts. Having said that, I enjoy its features, and in the last year I've used it, the features have improved and more have been added, and I really appreciate the roadmap they provide.

I often see members of their team active on forums for MSPs offering support or guidance when things may not be clear. Even though I may not be paying for Action1 now (due to being under 100 endpoints currently), I do intend to keep using A1 as I grow and add more endpoints to my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

I think there is a bit of a learning curve, but that comes with every software. Not every feature is entirely intuitive, but support from others online has been able to overcome that aspect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strengthening Endpoint Security Through Automated Patch Compliance"
What do you like best about Action1?

Our Network Services team uses Action1 daily, and it has become an integral part of our endpoint management and security operations. The platform is intuitive and straightforward to administer, enabling us to automate Windows and third-party patching with confidence and consistency. The real-time visibility into patch status and vulnerabilities, combined with built-in remote management and scripting capabilities, allows the team to respond quickly and proactively. Its cloud-native architecture eliminates unnecessary complexity, and overall, it has proven to be a reliable, efficient solution that our team genuinely values and trusts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

From our Network Services team’s perspective, Action1 delivers strong patch management and endpoint visibility, but there are areas where we would like to see continued evolution. We currently leverage a robust RMM platform from another provider, and while Action1 meets our patching needs very effectively, some of the broader RMM capabilities are still maturing. The remote access and advanced management features, in particular, would need to deepen further for us to fully consolidate tools. That said, we see meaningful progress and would welcome the opportunity to displace our existing solution as Action1’s functionality continues to expand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Patch Management with Fast, Accessible Support"
What do you like best about Action1?

Beyond the user-friendly interface, I really like Action1’s patch management. It makes it easy to deploy updates and patches, install or uninstall software, and remotely connect to a computer when needed. I also appreciate the easy and quick deployment of automations which we greatly implement in our organization. As a free user, I also appreciate that customer support is easy to reach and responds quickly. Just to add, the webinars also help a lot while navigating through the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Based on our usage, the only real downside I’ve noticed is that remote chat isn’t available while you’re remotely connected to an endpoint. That said, as they mentioned in one of their webinars, this doesn’t seem to be a priority for them since they’re more focused on patch management than on being a remote connection tool. "Action1: Simple, Cloud-Native Endpoint Security with Fast, Automated Patching"
What do you like best about Action1?

its simplicity and effectiveness in endpoint security and patch management. It provides real-time visibility of vulnerabilities across endpoints and enables fast remediation without complex infrastructure. The cloud-native architecture eliminates the need for on-prem servers, which makes deployment and scaling straightforward.

From a security operations perspective, I appreciate how Action1 combines vulnerability detection, automated patching, and remote access capabilities in a single lightweight platform. This reduces tool sprawl and helps security teams respond quickly to emerging threats.

I also value its focus on proactive risk reduction — especially automated patch deployment for third-party applications, which are often the biggest attack surface. The ability to prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity aligns well with modern risk-based security practices.

Overall, Action1 supports a practical, efficient, and security-first approach, which strongly resonates with how I approach cybersecurity operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Here’s a balanced, professional response you can use (positive but honest — good for interviews or applications):

While Action1 is very strong in patch management and vulnerability remediation, one area that could be improved is advanced customization and deep reporting capabilities for larger enterprise environments. Compared to some traditional enterprise tools, reporting flexibility and granular policy tuning can feel somewhat limited.

Additionally, organizations with highly complex infrastructure or hybrid/on-prem legacy environments may require additional integrations or complementary tools to achieve full coverage beyond endpoint management.

That said, these trade-offs are often the result of Action1’s strength — its simplicity and ease of deployment. For many organizations, especially those prioritizing speed, visibility, and efficient patching, the streamlined design is actually a major advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple GUI and Effortless GPO Deployment—Updates Made Easy. No-brainer for computer management!"
What do you like best about Action1?

Simple-to-use GUI. Very easy to navigate. Getting the deployment set up through GPO was very easy and no-effort on my end. Sometimes getting things set up on the server level is difficult and much trial and error but I really had no issues getting things deployed and working. Showing what items are critical and non-critical is very easy to tell and get stations updated. I've been looking for a tool for this for quite some time. I think I've found home. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

So far I haven't run into anything I dislike. I wish all of our users had their computers on to get updated all the time but I get that updates only work if the computer is online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"best solution I found for small businesses"
What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 gives me real confidence that endpoints are truly patched—not just scheduled, attempted, or reported as compliant.

What stands out to me is how the patching is automated in a way that actually works, especially for third-party apps, which is where most real-world vulnerabilities tend to show up. I also like the near-real-time visibility into what’s missing, what failed, and the reasons behind it, so I’m not left guessing.

The reporting feels clear and honest, without “green checkmarks” that gloss over broken installs. On top of that, it’s cloud-native and essentially zero maintenance, so there’s no WSUS/SCCM/RMM babysitting. Overall, it strikes a good balance between control and simplicity: automation when I want it, and manual precision when I need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

Remote login is sometimes slow and can lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Straightforward Deployment, Clean Portal, and Great GitHub Scripts + API Access"
What do you like best about Action1?

It does what it says on the tin. The software is very straightforward to install on endpoints, and it can also be easily deployed via Intune, so it’s a real no-brainer.

Once it’s in place, there are plenty of actions you can take through the portal, which I find easy and straightforward to use. Overall, it feels clean and simple.

The biggest bonus, if I may say so, is the GitHub repository, with plenty of script samples in PS and other options you can use. And don’t forget the API access if you need to tailor small apps for the IT department.

Lastly, you can really use the product to its full potential before committing yourself or your business to it, which is pretty rare these days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

TBH, I do not know.

Right know there is nothing I dislike about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Third-Party Patching with a Clean, “Just Works” Interface"
What do you like best about Action1?

The biggest thing for us at Enriquez MSP is just how simple the whole platform is to navigate. I’ve used plenty of tools that feel like they were built in the 90s, but this one is actually snappy and doesn't require a manual to find what you need. Getting it set up was a breeze, too, we had the agent out on our first batch of endpoints in minutes without any "hoops" to jump through.

I’m logged into the dashboard pretty much every single day just to keep an eye on things. It’s packed with a lot more than just basic patching; having the built-in vulnerability stats and the remote access tools all in one place saves us from jumping between three different apps. It also slots right into our existing stack without causing any weird conflicts or headaches.

Honestly, even their team has been great. Any time we’ve had a quick question, they’ve been super responsive, which is a relief because normally you're waiting days for a "help desk" to get back to you. It just makes my life a lot easier when the tool does what it says it's going to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

If I had to nitpick, the remote desktop tool is a little basic. It works fine for a quick fix, but it's missing some of the "quality of life" features you see in dedicated tools, like a more intuitive way to drag and drop files or a better multi-monitor view.

Also, the reporting is decent for internal use, but I wish I could customize the layout a bit more when I'm trying to send a polished "security health" PDF over to a client. Right now, it's a bit more "data-heavy" than "client-friendly." Nothing that stops us from using it, but those are the two areas where I think they could polish things up a bit. "Feature-Rich Solution at a Great Price"
What do you like best about Action1?

Action1 provides a lot of features for a reasonable price. The features that we use most are patch management, software deployment, and remote control. The patch management feature works far better than our previous WSUS deployment for managing operating system updates, and we use it every month. Action1 was easy to set up in our environment and is definitely compatible with most standard products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Action1?

We do not have any unresolved issues with Action1, and we can't think of any parts that we dislike. The customer support has been very helpful. If we had to reach for a negative, it would probably be that it's not as widespread as some of the other solutions out there. Their user base seems to be rapidly expanding, so they are heading that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
