## Action1 Reviews
  ### 1. Excellent Performance, Support, and Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Performance, support, and onboarding. Anytime I have a question about Action1 functions, your support team is always quick to find answers.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

What I am missing is a better way to organize Endpoint groups. Folders would be a great addition.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is saving us a lot of time. What used to take us a couple weeks to remedy vulnerabilities can now be done in a few minutes freeing us up to tackle more tasks

  ### 2. The Patch Management Solution I've Been Looking For

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerry L. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 does everything I need, and not much that I don't (which is a plus). I've been doing systems management since the late 80's and have never found a patch management system that works so reliably, and so well controlled at such an affordable price.

I need two things, routine patch maintenance (e.g. Windows Update management/better control) and vulnerability identification and third party remediation software. Action1 delivers exactly that without the bloatware, complicated setup and large expense of other similar products.

I am a consultant/MSP and manage multiple client networks. I currently use InsightVM from Rapid7 on the higher end, Ninite Pro and MSP360 RMM on the lower end, and even VIPRE EDR's vulnerability analysis and third party patching tools, and of course the plethora of ever changing MS offerings that are confusing even for an MS Partner. I've also used or tried pretty much all the rest of the big names as some point in the past

Action1, cuts to the chase and gives me the core of what I need, and it's trivial to implement and just works reliably (which some of the others don't. I love the detailed control it gives me over Windows Updates and the fact that it effectively bypasses WSUS and applies catalog solutions directly is a huge time saver. Half the nightmare of MS Updates is the finicky nature of Windows Updates itself, and the ever changing rules under which various versions work for implementing specific updates. Action1 gives me direct per machine/per update control.

As far as 3rd Party Remediation it's catching vulnerabilities that InsightVM does not (I've been testing Action1 on the same systems), although some of that might be configuration choices with InsightVM--it is a more complicated product)

Are there more powerful tools? Definitely. But they are much more complicated to configure and manage. In some large environments, internal requirements may dictate this, but for mid-sized companies and others that have mitigating options, Action1 is perfect.

It does what it needs to do, is easy to use...and actually...sort of fun. And I never thought Patch Management could be fun.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I think the biggest limitation Action1 has is not so much its fault, but crappy software developers that don't follow industry best practices. And that's not Action1's fault. And it's often an OpenSource issue I am talking to you, Opera, ClamAV and OpenSSL. But I am also talking to people like Microsoft, and VMWare (aka Broadcom) with some of their products that have custom installers or other oddities...I am talking to you Teams, Visual Studio, Visual Code, etc. Yes your VS Installer is nice, but it's not standards compliant. And they are your own standards MS! And I am talking to VMWare with workstation, vmware console, loginsight agent, etc.

I will say that Action1 does handle the most common/important vmware software: VMWare tools, extremely well.
--
I do like that Action1 has rudimentary asset management features, and basic remediation mitigation controls, but they really could be better integrated and improved. I think a lot of this is an interface issues, and not a lack of data issue. I would like better visibility into an assets historical mitigation tracking etc.

But that is all icing on the cake, at the end of the day, I can do the mitigation control in other systems. It's a fine line between essential feature and 'nice to have' and if you aren't careful, you end up with bloatware.

For smaller to midsize companies, the mitigation documentation options are more than sufficient.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows Patch Management (WUS)
Vulnerability Assessment and 3rd party software remediation.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Jerry,

Thank you for sharing your experience -- we're thrilled to hear that Action1 is meeting you patch management needs so effectively. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to support your system management needs!

  ### 3. Effortless Updates and Security Flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I use Action1 for updates and security, primarily for Windows updates and software updates. I like the flexibility it offers. The reboot procedure and update features work well for me, and I found it very easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find the update disabling for Windows in Action1 doesn't work well for me. It pushes Windows updates only by Action1, which I don't like.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for Windows and software updates, enhancing security and keeping everything up-to-date.

  ### 4. An RMM that does what it's supposed to do excellently!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian B. | ICT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is a cloud-based endpoint management platform that focuses primarily on patch management. It allows IT departments to automate the deployment of operating system and application updates, manage vulnerabilities, and automate other endpoint management tasks such as script execution and remote access, all in a centralized, cloud-based environment.
To use the platform, I simply registered on the website and followed the instructions step-by-step. Deploying the agent, which I expected to distribute via GPO, was even easier because it's implemented in the platform itself in just a few simple steps. Furthermore, from the very first days, I was contacted by their sales team who offered to put me in touch with their Customer Support team to receive the appropriate training.
Integrating Action1 into our network was a breeze, and now we use it daily and couldn't live without it!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

If I can find a weak point of Action1 it is that, when connecting remotely with users it is not possible to transfer files but I trust that this feature can soon be implemented too perhaps through a dropdown menu within the browser.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to Action1 I was able to have complete and centralized control of the Endpoints with a particular focus on identifying existing vulnerabilities that can often be managed directly through the RMM itself.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Christian,

We're thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the seamless experience with Action1! We appreciate your feedback and will certainly consider your suggestion for file transfer capability during remote connections.

  ### 5. Effortless Endpoint Management with Action1

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really like that Action1 is easy and straightforward, offering enough functions to manage tasks efficiently. The free tier is a great benefit for me. Setting it up was also very simple and intuitive, which I appreciate. Action1 serves as my primary tool for endpoint management, and it's so effective that I haven't considered looking for any alternatives.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Nothing

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to manage and monitor endpoints, solve update management issues, and handle application maintenance. It's easy and straightforward with enough functions and a great free tier.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

  ### 6. A smart and efficient solution to take care of software updates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcel C. | Operation director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Easy to install, they provide a free account so you can really test the tool. Action 1 is a fantastic tool in that it will update all your user's machines with no distractions for the users. Earlier, we needed to arrange for off hours time to do updates and a technician needed to contact all machines. Especially when everyone is working remotely, it got even more complicated to schedule the installation of updates. Action 1 also takes care of servers and you can customize which machine you allow Action 1 to take control of updates. The interface is easy to master and work with.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Action 1 takes care of many different softwares, but, some will still require manual intervention from someone, but they are few, so this is definitely not a problem.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure we do not forget a machine. Also, for urgent patching, this is very helpful since we can deploy them rapidly. We also save a lot of technicien time that can be reinvested in other areas.

  ### 7. Streamlined RMM with Speed and Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul C.

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I am impressed by Action1's ability to enable a full enterprise Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) setup with the domain sync tool in just minutes. The speed, ease of use, and rapid setup and deployment make it exceptional for my IT consultancy business. I was amazed at how quickly I could set it up on 175 endpoints using the domain sync tool. The streamlined initial setup enhances its attractiveness, and it's easy to recommend it to others, as reflected in my high likelihood to recommend this product to a friend or colleague.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I dislike the limitations in the standard deployment packages for newly joined machines. It would be more efficient if Action1 allowed deployment by tagging groups of products or through group membership. This feature would enhance the flexibility and customization of deployments within my IT consultancy business.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for its quick enterprise RMM setup, including deploying to 175 endpoints swiftly. Its speed, ease of use, and fast setup enhance my IT consultancy operations.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Paul,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Action1. We are thrilled to hear that Action1 has met your needs for a streamlined RMM setup and deployment. We appreciate your feedback on the limitations in deployment packages and will take it into account for future enhancements.

I really appreciate Action1 for its centralized approach, allowing me to handle everything from my desktop without needing to physically visit each machine. The ability to remotely control computers at school and service environments makes my task of helping clients and teachers incredibly efficient. This automation not only simplifies our management tasks but also significantly boosts efficiency. Moreover, the initial setup was incredibly easy, immediately identifying all machines on the network, which allowed us to start using it without any hassle. Its efficiency and the seamless control it provides have made it an indispensable tool, and I have already recommended it to others because of the substantial problems it solves for us.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The only thing i can fault it for is that as the initial admin, I can not use SSO whereas my colleagues can

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 as a one-stop shop to control the entire system, install and automate patches, and remotely access computers at school or for clients, all from my desktop.

  ### 11. Action1 is a great tool for IT Specialist

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Damian Z. | IT Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like many things about Action1. From the start, it's easy to use. You don't need a terminal or command line to get started. The software is very responsive, updates progress data in real time, quickly scans devices for installed software, and supports a huge number of applications of various types from different vendors.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There are very few things I don't like about Action1. It's just nitpicking, but the messages displayed on the endpoints look old-fashioned, a bit like Windows XP, but it's nothing that disqualifies the product. There is also no mobile app, although the mobile version of the website works well, so it's not really a disadvantage.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have many computers at work, and we don't even have a server or software management software. Action1 solves the problem of manually updating software, which can be buggy and dangerous. I also have a program that cannot be updated without administrator privileges, so I had to do it manually on every endpoints. And even though this program is not in the Action1 repository, I can still manually add it to the database and use Action1 to update it on all computers.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Damian,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Action1. We're glad to hear that it has helped you efficiently manage software updates on multiple computers. We understand your feedback about the appearance of the messages and the absence of a mobile app, and we'll keep that in mind as we continue to enhance the product.

I use Action1 for patch management and vulnerabilities, ensuring we can keep our devices secure.

  ### 13. Efficient, Cost-Effective Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** GP P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like the price of Action1. I also found the initial setup to be fairly straightforward, quick, and not too complicated.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I think there could be more customizability on the web dashboard. I'm also looking for API access for alerting and notifications, if it isn't present already.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for easier and quicker software deployment, managing vulnerabilities, and automating patch management, which streamlines software version checks and remediation.

The out-of-the-box deployment is straightforward, particularly with Active Directory GPO deployment being notably intuitive. I also appreciate Action1's cost-effectiveness, standing out among other market competitors for its value for money. The reports dashboard is a useful feature for tracking and scheduling deployments efficiently, ensuring that our network always remains updated and secure with ease.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Nothing

Action1 stood out among several solutions we tested, mainly due to its cost and ease of use, which greatly facilitates our daily tasks.

  ### 19. Effortless Setup, Powerful Patch Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach G.

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I appreciate the simplicity and ease of setup with Action1, which made the transition very smooth, with no pain points at all. Its user experience is a significant highlight, contributing to a seamless engagement with the software. The ability to push out patches based on their criticality is incredibly valuable, ensuring our systems are promptly updated while providing high flexibility in patch management. I also find the inclusion of a remote tool essential, as it allows us to assist users needing help by remotely accessing their systems. This feature significantly enhances our ability to provide support. The free access for the first two hundred devices was a compelling factor in adopting Action1, offering a great starting point without immediate financial commitment. Overall, the software's capabilities in third-party patch management effectively meet our needs without being too intrusive with our endpoints.

  ### 20. Effortless Endpoint Management with Action1—Stable, Simple, and Exceptionally Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has completely streamlined our endpoint management. We manage around 50 devices, and the platform makes patch management effortless. The interface is clean, intuitive, and genuinely easy to use — no overcomplication like you see with other RMMs. The patching library is extensive and always up to date, and the success rate of automated patch deployment has been nearly flawless. Compared to NinjaOne, Atera, and ManageEngine, Action1 stands out as more stable, simpler to manage, and overall more effective.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There’s honestly very little to complain about. Reporting could be a bit more customizable, but that’s minor — it doesn’t take away from how well the platform performs day-to-day.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 has solved our patch management and endpoint visibility challenges across multiple sites. Before adopting it, keeping Windows systems consistently updated and secure was a manual, time-consuming process. Now we have automated patching, centralized visibility into compliance, and instant remote access when issues come up — all without deploying any on-prem infrastructure. It’s drastically improved our patch success rates, reduced downtime, and simplified IT operations overall.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> It's great to hear how Action1 has solved your patch management and endpoint visibility challenges! Thank you for review and feedback on customizable reporting.

I really appreciate the smooth and straightforward setup process of Action1, which made the initial integration into our system seamless. The option to have 200 free endpoints is a significant advantage and certainly aids in evaluating the service without a substantial financial commitment. Action1 allows us to efficiently manage and keep track of patching needs, ensuring that client devices remain up-to-date and reducing troubleshooting complexities. This proactive update feature effectively solves problems before they become issues, enhancing our overall productivity. Moreover, integrating Action1 with major tools like Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft 365 has been straightforward. These features collectively reinforce my decision to recommend Action1 to others, reflected in my high recommendation score of nine.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find the support system lacking as it currently involves blindly searching through documents rather than having an AI support tool to interact with. This makes finding the needed assistance more cumbersome and less efficient.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to keep track of patching needs, which keeps systems up to date and reduces troubleshooting steps, solving issues before they occur.

  ### 25. Solid Remote Support and Client Protection Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn H.

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I have been using Action1 for over a year primarily for managing updates and vulnerabilities, and I have been very pleased with its performance. The software particularly excels in providing remote support and ensuring that clients are well protected, which is crucial for my needs. Action1 utilizes CVEs and various mechanisms to deliver this level of protection effectively. Additionally, I find the updating and remote support features incredibly useful in my day-to-day operations. The simplicity of Action1 stands out positively, making it approachable and easy to integrate for other managed services providers, which I often consult with. I have already recommended it to others and am confident in its ability to attract more users based on its utility and ease of use. In fact, I am so satisfied with Action1 that I rate my likelihood of recommending it a strong 10 out of 10, having already convinced someone else of its benefits.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

While I found Action1 beneficial overall, setting it up initially was somewhat challenging. Despite having extensive experience, I would rate the setup difficulty around a three out of ten. It wasn't extremely difficult, but it also wasn't the easiest process. Additionally, I think there could be improvements in certain areas, especially when considering future needs, like addressing mobile devices effectively. I also suggested considering a free tier with reasonably priced modules, such as a $50 per month option for up to 200 users, which might enhance its adoption.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to manage updates, handle vulnerabilities, and ensure remote support, helping protect clients through CVEs and other mechanisms.

  ### 26. Action1 Patch Management Is the Core Strength for Us

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Patch Management is the core functionality that we use. This is the main strength of Action1

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It's scope and functionality is limited to systems with an installed agent, no network monitoring of snmp or vm monitoring. No ticketing features

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management and vulnerability dashboard

  ### 27. Ease of Use with Robust Visibility and Customization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominic G.

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I love Action1's ease of use with a well-thought-out UI that makes administrative work streamlined and convenient. The free tier is amazing for trying out the product and also gives smaller companies the opportunity to use the tool for free, making their environment safer. I also appreciate the customizability of the platform and its overall feel, look, and responsiveness. The initial setup was super straightforward, which I found really great.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find that the reporting could be better, and there could be improvements on feedback for automation and scripting. Most importantly for me, I wish there was an option to set a password for uninstallation to block malicious actors from uninstalling the product.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 provides visibility across multiple remote sites and has effective patch management and RMM functionalities.

  ### 28. Effortless Update Management Keeps Us on Track

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christy L. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It allows me to keep up with all of the updates that otherwise get forgotten throughout the year.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some actions take a few more steps than I would like. For example, applying an update to certain computers rather than an entire group, is an extra step. BUT, I'm able to do it without any problems, so I can't really complain.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was behind on updates that didn't come through WSUS, and Action 1 gets them all. It also provides lists of all programs running on each computer so that I can edit those as necessary.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Christy,

We're glad to hear that Action1 is assisting you in staying updated and managing programs effectively. Thank you for the feedback on the additional steps - we will take it into consideration for future improvements.

Deploy software for various PC use cases, roll out self-created scripts. Remote maintenance.

  ### 30. Works for beginners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott L. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

With my limited knowledge about IT matters I am able to easily patch vulnerabilities, update/deploy software, and even remote into desktops at any of our 3 locations. Action1's video/webinars made it easy for me to learn and easy to implement the basics that we needed to get organized and make our workstations safer than they have ever been.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I have a big learning curve since I'm not familiar with the jargon and all of the features. It would be nice to have an "novice" view or something. For a free product I understand why support is a paid service and only available in a knowledgebase, but do wish there was a little more support to get up and running.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management has helped us ensure our workstations are HIPAA compliant and that vulnerabilities are flagged. The ability to remote support staff with other related issues has saved travel and eliminated wait times.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Thanks for the review, Scott! We're glad that you're finding success with Action1. If you're looking for more guides on our product and features, feel free to check out our "Documentation" page on our website (linked below).

  ### 31. Effortless Windows Patching, Needs Report Accuracy Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John W.

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I love how Action1 significantly simplifies the process of patching Windows endpoints, which was a cumbersome task before. The user-friendly interface streamlines the workflow, making the task almost effortless compared to manual patching and previous solutions like WSUS. Additionally, receiving reports on Windows endpoint patching is incredibly beneficial for keeping track of the updates, ensuring all endpoints are managed properly. The initial setup was a breeze, saving my team time and reducing the hassle often associated with integrating new software. Overall, Action1 provides efficient management capabilities that enhance productivity and confidence in endpoint security.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I dislike that the scheduled email reports contain both live and cached data, which can lead to incorrect information if the cached data hasn't been updated.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Action1 makes Windows endpoint patching easy and provides helpful patching reports, although scheduled reports may include outdated cached data.

  ### 32. Effortless Setup and Outstanding Patch Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is straightforward to set up, which makes it a great alternative to WSUS. Beyond its excellent patch management support, I also find the remote access feature to be particularly useful.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

So far, I haven't encountered anything disappointing about Action1. I especially appreciate how generous the free tier is. It would be even more impressive if there were more MFA options to strengthen access security when necessary. Additionally, having the option to self-host would be a very appealing feature.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 assists us in managing security patches and also offers some remote access capabilities for essential technical support. Its main advantage lies in giving us complete control over how and when security updates are applied, which helps us avoid vulnerabilities in applications that are vital to our business operations.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> We're glad that you find Action1's setup and patch management beneficial. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to take your suggestions into consideration for future improvements.

I can’t say anything so far.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to check for vulnerabilities and it helps keep my network safe. It lets me know which PC needs critical updates, with a better UI than other programs.

The real-time visibility it provides is invaluable, offering instant insights into application health, security, and compliance, which significantly enhances our endpoint management. Additionally, the platform's cloud-based setup is very straightforward, eliminating the need for on-premises infrastructure configuration and expediting the deployment process. These features collectively contribute to a user-friendly and excellent experience overall with Action1.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find the software deployment process takes longer than expected, which can be frustrating. Additionally, the error details provided should be more comprehensive to help troubleshoot issues faster.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to automate patch deployment, enhance endpoint visibility, and reduce software management effort. It saves time with effective patch management and provides real-time visibility into app health and compliance, streamlining deployment.

  ### 38. Efficient patch management for our NGO – reliable, clear, and time-saving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has proven to be an extremely helpful tool for our NGO. We are particularly impressed by its clarity, logical structure, and the resulting ease of use. The automation of patch management saves us valuable resources, which we, as a non-profit organization, can sensibly use in other areas.
The integration into our existing infrastructure went smoothly, and the range of functions fully meets our requirements. Adding our own software to the software repository is also easy to implement. Particularly noteworthy is the real-time detection of existing security risks of the installed software and operating systems, including the CVE numbers, which is technically well implemented.
We have not yet had to use customer support, as the existing documentation has been completely sufficient for our purposes so far.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Actually, we lack nothing essential in Action1 for our daily work. We primarily use another tool for remote desktop access. In our tests, the remote desktop function of Action1 seemed a bit sluggish, but this could also be due to our specific setup. Overall, however, this does not represent a significant disadvantage, as the core functions of patch management fully meet our requirements.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before the introduction of Action1, we primarily faced challenges with the timely and reliable distribution of security updates across our various systems. The manual management was prone to errors and tied up valuable resources that we, as an NGO, urgently needed in other areas.

Action1 has helped us effectively solve these problems: By automating patch management, we can now ensure that all systems are always up to date without manual effort. The real-time detection of security risks, including CVE numbers, additionally provides us with the necessary transparency to act proactively. This not only saves us time but also significantly increases the security of our IT infrastructure. Especially as a non-profit organization, we benefit from being able to focus on our core tasks instead of being held up by technical maintenance work.

  ### 39. The Best Patch Management System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** IT R. | ICT Systems Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The automated patching for Windows and third-party apps
Remote scripting and endpoint management are the best
Great support and documentation
Easy deployment and management
Affordable for SMBs

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The interface can feel a bit basic at times, which I don't mind.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I am a one-man IT team, Action1 has helped me to solve the challenge of keeping all my organization's endpoints up to date and secure, especially. Before using Action1, I did not have a patch management system, and I had to do everything manually and it was time-consuming. Now, I have the ease of use in terms of automated Windows and third-party software updates through script running, and getting reports on detailed patch compliance, all from a single cloud system.

The remote management features also help me since I don’t need to be physically onsite to resolve common issues, which boosts my efficiency significantly. This has been a great help for me to save time, reduce vulnerabilities, and make sure that our systems are compliant with internal and external security policies.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you are enjoying and seeing value from Action1. We appreciate your feedback about the interface and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

  ### 40. Simplicity and Convenience: Unique in Its Kind

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ambrogio D.

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like the simplicity of using Action1, which makes patch management very convenient. I also appreciate the full free version up to 200 endpoints, which is unique compared to competitors who are all paid. This free offer was one of the main reasons it was approved by management, simplifying the work for us in the IT department. Moreover, setting up Action1 was really easy; I started by installing the agent on a few clients and then distributed it via active directory.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

the only flaw perhaps is the lack of Italian, I had to manually translate everything

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make the distribution and updating of software on corporate clients more convenient.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Ambrogio,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Action1. We understand the importance of language support and will take your feedback into account for future improvements.

  ### 41. Automates Tedious Server Updates Seamlessly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanner T.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Being able to automatically update all of our servers has been a huge help. Before, I'd need to log in manually to our many servers and update them. Action1 has cut down the time it takes by hours. I used the free version and have had no issues with it.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I haven't had any issues with it.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 solves the tedious task of remoting into every server for updates. I automate server updates with it, ensuring they're done even when I'm not around. If we add all our computers, it helps push software to employee computers.

  ### 42. Effortless Setup and Intuitive Navigation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

There's quite a lot. I love that it is simple and easy to set up. The flow of the software is intuitive which makes navigating the different areas straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I wish there was better customer support for the free tier. It can be difficult to get assistance from forums.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've always struggled with WSUS and deploying updates timely and effectively. Action1 makes it so simple to approve and deploy missing updates to our endpoints. We're finally in a position where we can have all of our endpoints completely up to date with windows updates. And the best part is that this can be managed by one staff member as part of their daily tasks instead of a whole team taking time after hours.

I have far more visibility over my endpoints, some of which I don't physically see very often.

I love their Software Repository. It’s constantly being updated for both Windows and Mac. This makes the amount of apps I have to manage much more manageable. Having their team get things beforehand is a great resource.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some major MDM factors are missing but they’re always adding things. The lack of mobile support for iPads, iPhones, Android devices is a major setback. Lack of Company Portal (which is coming soon) is noticeable.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying security risks and either alerting or actively patching. Runs automated tasks to keep devices up to date. Helps push scripts or different fixes for apps.

  ### 47. Action1 for Essential and Reliable Tool During Our Transition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has been a great help for us while our company is still in transition. We’re still running some systems on Windows Server 2012 R2, and since WSUS is already end-of-life, Action1 filled that gap perfectly. It allowed us to keep all our workstations and servers up to date without any hassle.

Once we finish the transition and move to newer operating systems, we plan to keep using Action1. It’s reliable, easy to use, and has a lot of useful features beyond just Windows Updates. Overall, it’s been a solid tool that made our patch management much easier.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Honestly, there’s no to dislike. If anything, I’d like to see an option for an on-prem or hybrid setup that can centrally download updates and distribute them to endpoints. This would help in environments with limited internet or multiple remote sites.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 solved our problem with Windows Updates after WSUS reached end-of-life on our Windows Server 2012 R2 environment. It gave us a simple, cloud-based way to patch and manage updates across all our workstations and servers without relying on the old WSUS setup. This kept our systems secure and up to date during our company’s transition period, and saved a lot of time compared to manual updates.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Thank you for your feedback - we are thrilled to hear that Action1 has been a valuable tool for your company during the transition period! We appreciate your suggestion for an on-prem or hybrid setup, and we'll definitely take it into consideration for future updates.
