## About Action1
Action1 is an autonomous endpoint management platform trusted by many Fortune 500 companies. Cloud-native, infinitely scalable, highly secure, and configurable in 5 minutes—it just works and is always free for the first 200 endpoints, with no functional limits. By pioneering autonomous OS and third-party patching with peer-to-peer patch distribution and real-time vulnerability assessment without needing a VPN, it eliminates routine labor, preempts ransomware and security risks, and protects the digital employee experience. In 2025, Action1 was recognized by Inc. 5000 as the fastest-growing private software company in America. The company is founder-led by Alex Vovk and Mike Walters, American entrepreneurs who previously founded Netwrix, a multi-billion-dollar cybersecurity company.

Nothing!

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for patch management with a centralized dashboard, allowing me to manage multiple endpoints simultaneously.

 ### 2. Simple and complete patch management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benoit R. | Sysadmin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is a fantastic patch management tool — simple to use, reliable, and secure. The free plan (up to 200 endpoints with no feature limits) is unbeatable value, making it perfect for small and mid-sized businesses. Highly recommended for anyone looking to strengthen endpoint security without added cost.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Action1 has strong patch management features, but the remote desktop tools feel limited and reporting could be more customizable.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 addresses the issue of unpatched systems and reduces wasted IT time by automating operating system and application updates for both remote and on-site devices. This automation enhances security, helps maintain compliance, and provides real-time visibility into potential vulnerabilities.

 ### 3. Am Head of ICT with more than 15 years of experience in the IT environment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kondwani K. | Head of ICT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

This product is straightforward to use and makes managing endpoints simple, especially with the remote support feature that we rely on for our daily maintenance routines. Implementation is hassle-free, and it integrates smoothly with other applications. Customer support is consistently available whenever we need assistance.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The script for software development could be better

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to manage patches, which has helped us keep our computers up to date without relying on WSUS. This has saved us resources, especially when it comes to installing software remotely.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Kondwani,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Action1. It's great to hear that Action1 has been instrumental helping you manage patches and software installations remotely. We will also take your feedback on the script for software development into consideration for future improvements.

 ### 4. Easy to Use and Affordable for Orgs Under 200 Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abraham J. | Active Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Ease of use and affordability for organizations under 200 devices.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

None at the moment as it is intuitive and easy to use.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a small robotics program and we need to manage the machines and deploy packages to them.

 ### 5. Incredibly Intuitive Patch Management and Software Deployment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Incredibly intuitive, making complex tasks like patch management and software deployment remarkably simple and efficient

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Nothing at all. I got only positive opinion about Action1

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows updates are carried by other RMM systems but 3rd party patching was always a problem which was fully solved by Action1

 ### 6. Intuitive and works well

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl H. | System Reliability Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It keeps straightforward processes simple, yet also provides the flexibility to handle more complex tasks through scripting.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It would be very useful if Report exports offered direct support for Excel. This feature would make it much easier to work with exported data.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our patching process involves applying a third-party patch before we can install the corresponding Windows Updates. In the past, this meant logging into each machine individually to apply the third-party patch, rebooting, logging in once more, and then starting Windows Update. With the automation offered by Action1, we now save many hours that would have otherwise been spent on manual patching.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Carl,

We're glad to hear that Action1 has simplified your patching process and saved you valuable time. We appreciate your feedback about the report exports and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

 ### 7. Very helpful program that is fun to work with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like how simple, clear, and structured the program is. It offers a lot of features that other programs only offer for a lot of money. I have been looking for a program like this for a long time and have been using it for over a month now, and I really enjoy using it to control and update my PC around me as well as remotely. My colleagues also say that our in-house IT support has improved significantly since the introduction of Action1.

It's also nice that it brings updates gradually and is continuously developed.

My boss is pleased that he doesn't have to invest a lot of money in a new program since 200 endpoints are free here.

I am simply thrilled with this program.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

A German interface would be nice but not a must, as the program itself is already very simple. An online storage where documents or files (.msi) could be saved to install proprietary non-public programs on computers would be nice. Or to place files on the desktops of logged-in users. But all of this is not a must because the program already helps me a lot as it is.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an in-house, non-public program for which there is no update program. Action1 helps me to perform the manual update process on all PCs simultaneously using a script, so I don't have to go to each PC individually. Also, through remote control, I can help my colleagues faster, easier, and better than over the phone. With the overview, I can immediately see which PCs still have pending updates and can perform them directly from a distance.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Thank you for your review! We understand the importance of language localization and additional features for file management. We will take your suggestions into consideration for future updates to enhance the user experience.

 ### 8. Effortless Patch Management and Endpoint Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is a fantastic product that simplifies the patch distribution and management for our systems. It helps us maintain visibility of the all endpoints across the network no matter where the endpoint is connecting from. I appreciate the ability to install Action1 agent first and then use that tool to distribute all the other apps as part of the endpoint deployment. Deploying the agent is simple fast and easy.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some of the reporting options are a little harder to produce but when you get used to the style it works. Would love the reports to be more polished.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 solves the problem of centrally managing all corporate endpoints from a single pane of glass

 ### 9. Efficient Deployment, Simple Configuration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Román A. C.

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like the deployment of Action1 scripts, as it allows me to perform more specific tasks on the devices. Additionally, I found the initial setup to be very simple.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The part about vulnerabilities, sometimes there are no patches to fix a vulnerability.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to keep my equipment updated and perform specific tasks with scripts. It allows me to schedule updates on days and times that do not disturb users.

 ### 10. Cloud Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The UI is User friendly and easy to implement.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

MS Windows Centric.
Need to work on Alerting, Reminders for missing, Critical Vulnerability remediation. sending email once new vulnerabilities are found or if the CVE rating is increased for a vulnerability.
Need to Tailor for Cross-platform in depth.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vulnerability patching.

 ### 11. Easy to Use and Practical for Everyday Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse G. | System Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Easy of use and practicality using this software is so great

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

This software needs more controls in place for admin accounts so that you can limit other users permissions easier.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Endpoint and update management of all of devices

 ### 12. Reliable, Scalable Action1 Across Multiple Environments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The system works reliably across multiple environment types. It’s scalable, and I’ve deployed Action1 in several different organizations.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

New features are being pushed out constantly, and there’s a large repository of requests and feature additions. I think it’s great to see an app acknowledge that it can do better on certain platforms, and to be transparent about these requests and what’s being worked on.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management and vulnerability management.

 ### 13. Convenient Web Access!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfonso P. | Compliance officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really appreciate that it is entirely web-based, which I find very convenient. Being able to access it with any modern web browser makes it easy to use wherever I am.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

At times, I find myself confused about where to locate my organizations. Having the location somewhat hidden at the top makes it a bit difficult to find, which can be confusing.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Get Coffee... I really appreciate that I can automate patching, as it frees up my time to focus on other important aspects of support.

 ### 14. Action1 is an amazing RMM for any size company or MSP, but especially those atarting out!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1's pricing structure is unmatched from any other RMM software I have used. the first 200 endpoints are completely free, with no trial restrictions applied. I spoke with a sales representative about the potential costs per agent after the 200 endpoints, and to my surprise they were extremely competitive with all other RMMs. The simplicity in setting up the cloud based software and organizing your agents could not make fleet management any easier. And the ease at which I am able to push frequent app and OS updates to all or part of my managed devices is the cherry on top.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Currently there is no support for Linux endpoints, though it is on the roadmap, so for now they only support Windows and MacOS. The built-in remote desktop support is an amazing feature that not every RMM offers, but it is a little on the slow side as it's entirely web based on the technician's end. For the price though, it's definitely worth it and adequately meets all my needs!

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is my RMM of choice for the tech stack I am using in my new business as an MSP.

 ### 15. Action1’s Built-In Vulnerability Scanning and Remote Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I am using it for remote access, hardware scanning, and pushing patches and powershell scripts to all of our computers.

 ### 16. One Dash to Rule Them All—Awesome Script Section

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

One dash - rules them all. Script Section is Awesome

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Nothing Yet, Still early testing, still in review process

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching, Inventory, And Upgrades

 ### 17. Easy to Use, Functional, and Smooth Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Ease of use, functionality, ease of onboarding

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Dislike is not correct wording but Action1 could improve onboarding of new computers. When new device appears in Action1 run immediately onboarding workflow to install necessary software to the computer. As well possibility in the workflow to specify that install always latest version.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch automation of 3rd party software, remote troubleshooting via PowerShell scripts

 ### 18. Amazing Capabilities with 200 Free Endpoints—Simple and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

200 free endpoints. What you can do with it is amazing. Simple and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The biggest con is the support is mainly the community. Not the company themselves.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Updating my software regularly as well as inventoring the endpoints.

 ### 19. Great interface and features for smaller shops.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It has a very intuitive user interface and good customization features like custom scripts that make using it very straightforward. It also applies updates (ie. patches, scripts, health checks) extremely fast to the point where I can pull 100+ device statuses in less than a minute and apply multiple patches company-wide within about 10. The remote access abilities are well implemented as well and very reliable. Implementation took less than 2 hours and their agent works very well to automatically enroll devices.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Sometimes it will not connect to a device even with the device online and showing connected in the Action1 console. The remote access is very good, but it is browser based which limits some of the functionality and makes remoting into widescreen monitors a pain. A standalone app to handle this would be a great improvement.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has solved our automated patching and vulnerability remediation efforts in addition to acting as a reliable remote support tool.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> We're glad to hear that you find our user interface intuitive and our customization features helpful! We apologize for the challenges you've faced with device connectivity and browser-based remote access. Your suggestion for a standalone app is appreciated and will be taken into account for future development.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David . | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I can administer my entire fleet of IT devices easily and keep our organization's users, data and infrastructure SAFE. I can see the status of software and update deployments in a single pane of glass. I can push out emergency/critical patches with a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I have no dislikes as yet. Everything just works, as advertised ... and its free for up to 200 endpoints with ZERO limitations.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT solves the pesky issue of third party patching, ensuring all of our Windows updates actually apply and systems reboot when needed (you know, what WSUS never did properly ...) and best of all, its Cloud Based with an easy to deploy agent so I can push it out to hundreds of devices automagically. I can now, at a glance, see ANY vulnerable devices that need patching or old software that needs to be mitigated/removed. And it's a simple uncluttered interface that jsut presents the data I need without needing to drill down and reload page after page .... I'm looking at you Microsoft Defender and Intune ...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I use Action1 for patch management of Windows and MacOS devices, and it makes this task easy and seamless. I can prioritize critical patches based on CVEs and automate the rollout across the entire organization. I really like the comprehensive and intuitive dashboard, and it's great that Action1 now supports Linux-based OSs as well. Setting it up was very straightforward, and the agent installation on my Active Directory automated deployment, which really helped.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Nothing for now.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for patch management, making it easy and seamless. We prioritize critical patches based on CVEs and automate rollouts across the organization.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for choosing Action1 for your patch management needs. We're glad to hear that it's benefiting your organization.

 ### 27. Action1 outperforms alternatives

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** C A. | Integration Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Truly Agentless, Cloud‑Native Architecture
You don’t have to install heavy agents or stand up on‑prem servers—Action1 leverages Microsoft’s built‑in WinRM and PowerShell remoting over HTTPS. That means near‑instant deployment and virtually zero footprint on your endpoints.

Live, Real‑Time Visibility & Remediation
Action1 gives you a live view of every Windows endpoint—processes, services, installed software, open ports—then lets you push scripts or one‑click remediation in seconds. No waiting for agents to “check in.”

Built‑In Patch Management & OS Updates
The combination of real‑time discovery plus policy‑driven patching (including third‑party apps) is powerful. You can schedule, approve, or automatically deploy patches without juggling multiple consoles.

Custom Script Library & One‑Click Execution
Whether you need to collect event logs, disable a rogue service, or gather forensic artifacts, Action1’s script library and ability to run PowerShell or CMD across any subset of machines in a single click is a huge time‑saver.

Free Tier for Small Environments
Action1 offers a free edition for up to 10 endpoints—perfect for small businesses or proof‑of‑concept tests—so you can try out its full feature set before committing.

Detailed Auditing & Reporting
Everything you do—remote queries, patch deployments, script runs—is logged centrally with timestamps, user names, and results. That audit trail is invaluable for compliance or troubleshooting.

Intuitive, Modern UI
The web console is clean, fast, and logically organized. Dashboards surface the most critical info up front, which keeps you focused on high‑risk endpoints or pending tasks.

Scalability & Multi‑Tenant Support
Whether you’re managing 20 machines or 20,000, Action1 scales linearly. Plus MSPs can manage multiple customers’ environments from the same pane of glass, with role‑based access controls.

Strong Security Posture
With support for MFA, SSO integration (Azure AD, Okta, etc.), and strict encryption in transit and at rest, you can trust that the management channel itself isn’t a new attack vector.

Rapid Feature Innovation
The team behind Action1 ships updates frequently—new patch catalogs, deeper OS support, UI enhancements—so you’re always getting incremental improvements without major upgrade cycles.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Windows‑only endpoint support
Action1 currently manages only Windows systems—there’s no native client for macOS or Linux, which can be a deal‑breaker for mixed‑OS environments

No native mobile apps
You’re forced to use a desktop browser for all administration. There’s no iOS or Android app, and remote desktop sessions on tablets (e.g. iPad) are limited unless you attach an external keyboard and mouse

Inflexible UI layout
Several reviewers note that columns in the web console are fixed‑width and non‑resizable, so you often end up scrolling sideways to see critical data

Reporting limitations
While basic reporting is present, finding certain reports can be cumbersome (names aren’t always descriptive), and there’s no built‑in dashboard‑style reporting for executives—you need to export data to Power BI or similar for high‑level views

Basic remote access feature set
Action1’s remote desktop is useful for quick fixes but lacks built‑in file transfer and chat. Some users also report noticeable lag or stability issues, especially over low‑bandwidth links

Advanced management gaps
Compared to full‑blown RMM suites, it still trails in advanced tooling (e.g., true direct‑terminal/CLI access, script/debug consoles, multi‑session multiplexing)

Potential for misuse
Like any powerful remote‑access tool, there have been documented cases of attackers abusing legitimate Action1 deployments for persistence and lateral movement in ransomware campaigns

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping our devices up to date and vulns in check

 ### 28. Broad Windows App Coverage That Delivers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of timing and automation

 ### 29. Powerful Network Management with an Amazing, Clean Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris D. | IT Systems Infrastructure Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The broad view on our internal systems. The dashboard is amazing and clean along with the simplicity of patch management and scripts. Its a powerful assistant for managing your network

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some of the reports that are premade could be nicer but im clearly knittpicking

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to securely access our network if need be. All our machines were quite old and when I came into this role they were very far behind in patch management. Now i can manage from afar and dont have to be infront of the computers downstairs.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Chris,

We're thrilled to hear that Action1 has been a powerful assistant for managing your network and has allowed you to securely access your network remotely. We appreciate your feedback on the premade reports and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

 ### 30. Simple and secure endpoint management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is very easy to set up and quickly allows us to get all endpoints under centralized management. Patch management works really well and helps remediate critical vulnerabilities fast, strengthening overall security. I also like the real-time visibility and reporting, which make compliance much easier to maintain. On top of that, being cloud-based avoids the need for extra infrastructure and keeps operations simple. And it's free for 200 endpoints

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The main downside is the lack of Linux agents (it's coming I know), which limits management in mixed environments. Having true cross-platform support would be a big improvement for full infrastructure coverage.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 helps us keep endpoints secure and up to date without the need for on-prem infrastructure.
It solves the challenge of patching and monitoring devices remotely, giving us full visibility and control even with a distributed workforce. This reduces the risk of vulnerabilities, saves time for the IT team, and supports our compliance efforts with clear reporting and audit trails.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We're glad to hear that Action1 has helped you maintain compliance and strengthen overall security. We appreciate your feedback about the lack of Linux agents and are actively working on expanding our platform to provide true cross-platform support for mixed environments.

 ### 31. A Bird's Eye View with Granular Precision

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cesar L. | IT Lead/Jr Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The sheer amount of information available to me whether it is a big picture view from the dashboard and windows down to the finer details thanks to the reporting capabilities. The remote desktop tool is great as well!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Maybe that I need to dig for some information. Perhaps a search bar in the dashboard to help find something will help?

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 helps my team support users who are out of the office and gives us an organized inventory of hardware and software wherever the agents are installed. It is also great for letting me know what devices have outstanding vulnerabilities and an easy way to address them immediately.

 ### 32. A Game-Changer for Secure and Scalable IT Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ram Prasad R. | Manager- IT & Information Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

What I like best about Action1 is its simplicity, reliability, and cloud-native approach to endpoint management. The platform is incredibly intuitive, allowing us to quickly deploy patches, manage remote systems, and enforce security policies without the need for complex infrastructure. Real-time visibility and reporting features are also a big plus, helping us stay compliant and proactive. Additionally, the remote access functionality is seamless and secure—especially valuable for supporting distributed teams.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

While Action1 covers most of our needs effectively, No Dislikes with Action1 Service

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is helping us address key challenges in endpoint management, patch deployment, and remote IT support—especially across a distributed workforce. Before Action1, ensuring timely updates and maintaining visibility over remote systems was time-consuming and inefficient. With Action1’s cloud-native platform, we can now automate patch management, enforce security policies, and remotely access devices without the need for VPNs or on-premise infrastructure.

This has significantly reduced our operational overhead, improved our compliance posture, and enhanced our ability to respond to threats quickly. It’s also increased overall productivity for our IT team, freeing them up to focus on more strategic initiatives.

 ### 33. Versitile, scalable and valuable asset.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dale H. | Customer Service Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has become an essential part of our daily operations, offering several key advantages that significantly enhance the way we support our clients.

1. Remote Access
One of the standout features is its seamless remote access. It's easy to deploy, responds well to EUAC prompts, and—crucially—doesn’t require user approval each time. This makes after-hours updates and support far more efficient. Sessions remain active even through reboots, which is a big plus when performing maintenance or troubleshooting.

2. Remote System Monitoring
With just a few clicks, we can access detailed system information, including missing updates, security vulnerabilities (such as outdated software), and a list of installed applications. This visibility allows us to quickly identify and address issues before they impact users. The ability to deploy updates or uninstall software remotely adds another layer of efficiency.

3. Software Deployment
Action1 includes an impressive library of prebuilt application deployment packages. For software not included, creating custom packages is straightforward, thanks to the platform’s guided process. This flexibility has saved us countless hours.

In short, Action1 is used continuously throughout our day. It’s an integral tool that allows us to proactively manage and support client hardware with minimal disruption, efficiently and reliably.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The only notable drawback is the user interface—specifically, the fixed-width columns. Not being able to resize them can make navigation cumbersome, particularly when needing to scroll sideways to access important information or tools like remote access. A more flexible layout would go a long way in improving usability.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is used continuously throughout our day. It’s an integral tool that allows us to proactively manage and support client hardware with minimal disruption—efficiently and reliably.

 ### 34. Outstanding vulnerability platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William C. | Senior Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Action1?**

This is an excellent platform for managing updates and vulnerabilities. They are SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022 and GDPR certified which means they are doing everything right. Action1 is still relatively new, but they have made great strides and have excellent vision. The agents is easy to install and can be pushed out automatically with a simple discovery server configuration that can be installed on any server. They make the update and vulnerability process very easy with automations and policies. You can get a quick over view on your systems status in the dashboard which rates updates and vulnerabilites by criticallality based on CVEs. Software inventory for all systems is available and includes all updates that are missing for any software they are supporting. They post their roadmap which is very ambitious and are always adding new feautures. FInally, they have webinars frequently that include Patch Tuesday recommendations along with an excellent support team.. We highly recommend Action1!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Action1 is still improving at a fast rate so any features that are not available are probably on their roadmap. There are still a few glitches but they are addressing them quickly. They also welcome feedback and are very responsive when you submit it.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Until we brought Action1 onboard, we were only patching and monitoring Windows Updates. Now we have the ability to patch Windows along with a plethora of third-party applications with ease. Our company is a DHS designated critical infrastructure provider so we are audited annually by our customers. Action1 is a critical part of these audits and has been invaluable in keeping us in compliance with our customers.

 ### 35. Effortless Patching and Issue Tracking with Action1

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has made it extremely easy to patch our workstation devices and has made it even easier to identify if and why something has gone wrong with a patch.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I’ve had a few instances were patch history stated a patch went through successfully but have had to redeploy a few times to get it to actually appear on the system - just a couple of bugs I assume

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we were previously using Automox, Action1 has made it extremely easy to see what we are pushing out to devices and to see the progress of these patches, as well as detailed steps when we use automations.

 ### 36. Take Action!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian B. | IT/Database Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action 1 is the perfect management environment for small to medium sized businesses. I can monitor, update, patch, restart, run scripts and more -- for free. I looked into paid systems and they couldn't do everything that action1 can do -- and they wanted thousands a year. Install is super easy, too!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The latency when on a remote session is definitely noticeable.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to manage our 25-30 computers through WSUS and physically dealing with them. Now I can just manage everything through the A1 dashboard. I have users call, and I can quickly jump into a remote session with a friendly prompt, and help them out. It's great.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Ian,

It's great to hear that Action1 has made managing your computers more efficient and that you can quickly assist users through remote sessions. Thank you for sharing your experience!

 ### 37. Makes endpoint management easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ted K. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is free for the first 200 endpoints, which allows me to use it for free since we have less than 200 Windows endpoints. It also allows you to see just how vulnerable endpoints are based on the CVSS score for a particular vulnerability.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some software will stop working properly if Action1 is allowed to patch it. Forticlient and Java are just a couple that I've found in my environment. In a big environment, testing the patches will make life easier when using this or any product like this.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At a glance, I can tell what endpoints are in need of patching and can force deploy updates. Public schools used to think that they were immune to cyberattacks but are beginning to realize that they are just as vulnerable as any other industry.

 ### 38. Action1 has been a game-changer.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael F. | IT Manager/System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has simplified our endpoint management more than any other tool we’ve tried. Patching is fast, reliable, and doesn’t require complex infrastructure or VPNs. The platform is easy to use, reporting is clear, and support is fantastic. Highly recommend for any IT team looking to save time and stress.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Minor learning curve like any new platform. Doesn't take long to get the hang of it though.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 takes the pain out of patch management. Remote devices get updated without VPNs or extra infrastructure, and I have clear visibility into compliance. It’s saved us hours of manual work and lowered our security risk.

 ### 39. Effortless Patching with Unmatched Convenience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mason H.

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like using Action1 for patching Windows endpoints as an IT professional. The software repository and the options to use scripts and remediation are very useful. It's convenient to access these features directly where I can also see vulnerabilities. The initial setup of Action1 was very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I would like to see an increase in the level of logging reporting for errors in the automation history tab when patches fail or error out, but mostly I have no complaints.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for patching Windows endpoints, solving the difficulty of managing patches across different places.

 ### 40. Easy to Use, Fast Patching, and Works as Expected

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen M. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Easy to use, very user-friendly, and offers fast patching.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

To be honest, we haven’t found anything to complain about. It does its job well and works as expected.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Device patching for apps and Windows, along with vulnerability scanning.

 ### 41. Super Easy to setup RMM with lots of features that help greatly with MSP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed A. | Manager Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Extremely easy to set up! Adding new endpoints is simple, whether you use the download link, deploy from the domain controller, or run a quick command prompt. The interface is straightforward, and best of all; it’s completely free for up to 200 endpoints. Hard to beat that!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

So far did not find anything that i dont like.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 makes it so much easier to manage all our endpoints without complicated setup. I can deploy new agents quickly, keep everything patched, and have full visibility no matter where the devices are. The fact that it’s free for up to 200 endpoints is a huge bonus.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Ahmed,

We're glad to hear that Action1 is making it easier for you to manage your endpoints and that you haven't encountered any issues so far. We're dedicated to providing a seamless experience for our users, and we're grateful for your support.

 ### 42. Good and easy to use end point management application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nagarjuna Reddy K. | Technical Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The interface is very simple to use and have many features that are needed for an IT team to monitor and asses the end point. We have easily implemented it and started using it. Moreover the free tier is very helpful for SMB.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The build in scripts are very less, expecting to have more scripts. The features for MAC are very less compared to Windows, so Action1 team needs to focus more on this.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While searching for easy and simple end point management application, we found Action1. Patch and Endpoint Management were the main features we were looking for. Fortunately we found both in Action1. So, these are main features we are benefiting most from.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Thank you so much for your review, Nagarjuna. We are always looking to improve our product for our customers, so your feedback is very important to us!

 ### 43. Used to use Itarian, this Action1 is MUCH MUCH better

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** john c. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Very easy to use for basic needs like remote desktop, machine status and software inventory.

Customers find it super easy to install after sending them the link.

The installation process is painless and FAST, even for the inexperienced user.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some of the more advanced features have a bit of a learning curve to utilize.
New, added 06/24/2025 at 13:00 CDT
Their support seems to come from a chatbot that doesn't get it right.
Been having issues receiving their authentication code via email (like it never comes or shows up 4 hours later). Contacted their support 2 weeks ago and it still is an issue. Makes using the product impossible.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The clean interface and EASY installation make it a breeze to use. Up and running in no time.
The dashboard is another great feature to quickly digest your IT workstation environment's status.

 ### 44. A valuable software with minor learning curve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has been very valuable in their features offered. The update section is in depth and provides way more information than other softwares like it. The automation and scripting ability is a great feature, as well, and has helped streamline a lot of processes.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Action1 definitely has a minor learning curve to get used to the interface and learning how to achieve what you want. Again, this is minor and with a little "playing around" in the interface, you can figure it out.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 has allowed use a deeper look into what patches are available, what's installed and what needs installed. This is by far the best out there. This allows us to make sure the computers we manage are always up to date and minimize vulnerabilities, which is huge.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Thank you for your review! It's great to hear that Action1 has helped you manage patches and minimize vulnerabilities.

 ### 45. Effortless Cloud Patch Management and Remote Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madhavarao c. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

its cloud-based patch management and remote monitoring capabilities, which make it easy to manage and secure endpoints without needing on-prem infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Sometimes, the initial setup and agent deployment can take a bit longer than expected, especially in larger environments. However, once configured, the platform runs smoothly.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 helps us automate patch management and remote endpoint monitoring, eliminating the need for manual updates. This improves security, compliance, and operational efficiency, especially for remote and hybrid teams.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Madhavarao,

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that Action1 had made it easier for you to manage and secure endpoints without needing on-perm infrastructure. We understand the importance of smooth platform operation and are committed to enhancing the user experience.

 ### 46. Action1 has greatly improved the efficiency of our small team. Patching has never been as swift.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary P. | Technology Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The live nature of the data in Action1 is invaluable for keeping up with vulnerability patching. Being able to remedy most vulnerabilities as they're discovered is such a relief in both management and security upkeep. The RMM tools are secondary to the main use of Action1, but too have been a huge asset to our company.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The only downside I have to Action1, and this is extremely picky as it is such a valuable product, is the lackluster remote desktop functionality. It is very basic and leaves much to be desired.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Truly remote management is not needed in our very localized environment, but it undoubtedly increases our efficiency and ability to complete emergency tasks when not on-site. The vulnerability detection and patch management speaks for itself; any company should be implementing tools such as these, but Action1 is one of the best implementations I have used.

 ### 47. Effortless to Use with Functionality and cost effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yoav K. | Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The ease of use and functionality are making this my go to product.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some basic features are missing, mainly the communication with the end users.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem is the patch management and because the ease of use it saves a lot of time. the other main benefit is that i am a new Company so the free 100/200 end points really helps for starters like me.

 ### 48. Easy to Use, Flexible Deployment, and Great for Startups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

1.It’s very easy to use.
2.The installation process is simple and straightforward.
3.There are multiple options for deploying patches.
4.The product has a clear and well-defined development roadmap.
5.The company listens to user feedback.
6.It’s free for small or startup organizations.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The only thing I dislike is that it doesn’t support Linux yet — and I’m still waiting for that feature.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 makes it much easier to manage and update all our computers. I don’t need to use VPN or be in the office to deploy patches anymore. It helps me save time, keep everything up to date, and see which devices need attention. Overall, it just makes my job a lot easier.

 ### 49. Action1 is a great alternative to WSUS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew N. | Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Not only does it update your OS files, but most all other 3rd party software as well. It is easy to use, a small learning curve if you are already familiar with WSUS. Has multiple ways to be deployed including group policies. Can run custom scripts and install custom software software.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Not a major issue, but, I can't always update all your software. Some things will still need to be manually installed.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working fora non-profit and with WSUS going away I needed an inexpensive product to replace it. Action1 filled all my needs and more.

 ### 50. Intuitive UI and Powerful Features, Awaiting More Automation Options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul S. | System Support Engineer IV, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Simple admin UI, powerful dynamic endpoint groups, script library, and friendly reboot experience for users.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I am looking forward to some gaps that will be filled with their interactive product roadmap items become features in the product. Features like: action chaining to perform multiple actions in sequence, automatic endpoint cleanup, etc...

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3rd party patching was big gap in our security posture before Action1. Also, better control over Windows updates. Supplementing Intune with Action1 is great.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Paul,

We're glad to hear that you are enjoying Action1! We understand your interest in additional automation options and are actively working on incorporating new features into our product roadmap. Your input is valuable to us as we continue to evolve our platform.
