**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott M. | Owner Operator, CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

It’s easy to sign up, straightforward to add organizations on the admin side, and simple to deploy agents using several different methods.

I haven’t found any major downsides yet, but I’d like to see a broader set of built-in scripts to perform additional actions.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m currently using it to deploy Windows updates and to identify vulnerabilities for clients who need this for their cyber insurance policies. I’m also starting to explore using it to install a base set of applications for new PC setups.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikko Jade R. | IT Technical Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I’d like to mention that the most helpful features of Action1 are deploying patches and updates. The remote desktop feature is also very powerful for me.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

So far, after using this for almost a month, I haven’t encountered any downsides yet.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue is that updates are missing for each endpoint.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Chris,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Action! We're thrilled to hear that you found the onboarding process straightforward and the performance fast. We appreciate your feedback as we are constantly looking to improve our system. Thanks again for choosing Action1!

  ### 4. Action1 Makes Asset Visibility and Patching Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan . | IT Systems Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 makes it extremely easy to view assets, users, and software across your organization. Patching is a breeze, and the integration with AD and Intune keeps everything up-to-date automatically. The setup and onboarding is extremely smooth, I was ready to go in under an hour!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I haven't encountered any issues! One nice addition would be to add cleanup rules for deprecated devices.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can quickly see all of our current users and devices, and see the software they're using, even software not deployed by the organization. The free 200 users means that it's also an affordable option for small organizations.

  ### 5. Easy to use and free for 200 devices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neil M. | Senior IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

You can easily see all the security updates needed for each device. Free for 200 devices. Implementation is easy and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There’s no silent installation option for Mac devices, and there’s also no file transfer available when working remotely.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software is easy to update, and it receives security patches.

  ### 6. Easy, Customizable Automations for Daily Vulnerability Checks and Patch Monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Xavier B. | It Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It’s easy to create automations and apply patches exactly the way you want. You can customize filters to be as precise or as broad as you need. Setup is straightforward, so you can be up and running in very little time. I use the tool daily to check vulnerabilities and monitor update status.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The client can sometimes struggle with managing per-user uninstall and update for third party software on endpoints.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a reliable patch management solution that an SMB could implement and afford. This tool gave us better insight into the software installed on our company devices, which made it easier to understand what we had in place and manage updates more confidently. It also helped us reduce our vulnerabilities to a 10th of what it was in a year

  ### 7. Simple and easy Endpoint Patching with awesome Free Tier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like the simplicity of the platform, the ease of use for patching endpoints and creating automations. The free 200 endpoints is a big plus for our organization.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I think it has some day-to-day improvements to make, like being able to transfer files through remote desktop and being able to customize the columns in the endpoints view, but overall very little to complain.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solves our endpoint patching for windows and linux systems. It also helps us with remote access when users are outside the company network.

  ### 8. Intuitive, Easy, and Efficient Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paolo S.

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really like the automation of processes with Action1, it facilitates and improves the update process for us. It is simple to install the agents on the servers, and the platform is very intuitive and easy to use. The initial setup was very simple and, as an additional plus, the support has clarified all the questions we have had.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Develop a bit more on Linux servers, although we have not conducted many tests on these servers, we believe that a bit more is needed.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to automate updates on servers, which facilitates and improves this process. It resolves operating system updates, vulnerability control, and servers.

  ### 9. Helpful Endpoint Visibility That Simplifies Network Discovery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Seeing all the endpoints populate in the list was really helpful. I even found a few endpoints on the network that I’d forgotten about.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The website can be a bit slower than usual at times. The Active Directory integration didn’t work for us for some reason, so we ended up just pushing it out via GPO instead.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visual patch management has been really helpful for us, and the UI is great for this. We were looking for something similar that other companies charge for, so we’re happy this is free for our usage.

  ### 10. Effortless System Management with Great Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Owen B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really like the scripting and automation features in Action1; these tools are great, and I use and build on them daily. The ability to bring a Powershell script to act on multiple systems without interrupting a client's work is very useful, allowing me to work it out once and use the script as an automation across multiple clients. The initial setup was pretty easy, and the interface was intuitive with deeper features available but not required to get up and running.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Screen switching in Remote Desktop is a bit slow. Wish it wasn't so slow to switch between multiple monitors on remote clients.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I effectively manage client systems using scripting, scheduled automations, and patch management. The scripting and automation tools are great; I use them daily to automate tasks across multiple clients without interrupting their work.

  ### 11. Essential Tool for Time-Crunched IT Departments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tracy D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I appreciate that Action1 saves me time by allowing me to send updates to all workstations at once instead of having to go to each one individually, especially since I'm the only person handling IT for a non-profit. I like how it tends to vulnerabilities and software updates and allows me to remote into a PC to reboot it remotely. It's great that I don't have to search the web for vulnerabilities and updates, which gives me more time to focus on other tasks. I was able to use it to roll out a software update that usually fails with Group Policy, and the initial setup was simple. I would highly recommend Action1 to others.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I have not found anything yet, as we have not had it very long.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 saves me time by automating workstation patching and updates, eliminating the need to visit each device. It allows remote rebooting and managing vulnerabilities without searching the web, letting me focus on other responsibilities.

  ### 12. Integrated tools and remote multi-software updates: Action1 at the top

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcel C. | President, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The integrated tools, the management of updates, not only for Windows but for a host of other software, and this without needing to access the machine.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I have no negative points to communicate; what Action1 offers, even in the free version, is more advantageous than most update management tools.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use a remote management tool, but sometimes it crashes, or the user has disabled it. Action1 saves the day by providing a second remote connection tool. With the new law, it is increasingly difficult to connect to workstations outside of hours for maintenance, and if our organization does not easily allow the use of images, Action once again comes to the rescue, as it allows for a range of updates.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Marcel,

We appreciate the feedback about the benefits of using Action1 for remote management and update management. Thank you for choosing Action1!

  ### 13. Great price (free for up to 200 endpoints), good for custom PowerShell scripts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The ability to run custom PowerShell scripts on any host, the price (free for up to 200 endpoints!), interface is fast, have not used the API, but love that it is an option

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Remote desktop is convenient, but it is slow and unreliable. Several times it has refused to connect, randomly disconnects while connected to a host as well

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 helps us keep our systems up to date, as well simplifies the process for setting up new systems. Whenever we need to push out a change across our fleet, we can send it through Action1.

  ### 14. Generous free tier and very customizable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaime Aldair L. | System administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The 200 endpoints free are great. It lets you really test the software in a real environment, and if you are a small company, even use it normally without having to pay.
I also like how versatile it is, because it lets you run custom scripts.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I'd like an option to run various scripts in succession and maybe a real time remote command prompt and with that, would be perfect. Also a resource monitor would be useful.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining my software deployments, having a real control over all my endpoints, reliable data at my disposal and of course, automating almost everything update related.

  ### 15. Efficient PC Management with Easy Remote Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil S. | IT Support, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like how easy it is to install and use Action1. The remote access feature is something I use quite often, and it allows me to help office staff with issues without leaving my desk, which is super convenient. It also enables me to update software quickly and easily for the whole office. The initial setup was very easy, and that's a big plus for me.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

A chat or video chat feature would be a nice thing to add. Being able to chat through the app instead of resorting to secondary means would make it simpler to aid staff.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to manage our office PCs and servers, update software quickly, and solve user issues remotely without leaving my desk. It's easy to install and use, and the remote access feature is very helpful.

  ### 16. Efficient and Cost-Effective for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I appreciate that Action1 is free for less than 200 devices, which is perfect for our small business since we don't have many devices. Additionally, the scripting and software deployments are easy. The initial setup was very easy; just install the agent and you're good to go.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

We haven't really had an issue yet, but maybe the error handling during software patching could be better. Letting us know exactly what the issue is needs improvement. For example, WinRAR updates get stuck, and we just needed to uninstall and redeploy.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for patching Windows and third-party apps, solving security and compliance issues effectively. It's free for us as a small business with under 200 devices and offers easy scripting and software deployments.

  ### 17. Action1 Makes Patch Management Easy and Time-Saving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Farming | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 shows the updates that each machine is missing as well as the vulnerabilities that each machine needs to have fixed and lets you organise them to be done as a pre-organised time, saving time that can be used in other parts of the business.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Occasionally it shows an update hasnt been done when it has already been pushed.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It creates a platform for us to see every company computers status in regards to updates in one spot and sets up a quick and easy way to update them all at once.

  ### 18. Effortlessly Manages Windows with Incredible UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I find Action1 to be a very easy-to-use system with an incredible UI and dashboard. It's great that it can be own branded, and the enrollment process is super easy, making it very quick to get a PC enrolled. The initial setup was incredibly easy, and it stands out as one of the easiest pieces of software I've ever enrolled.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I would prefer to see Android operating system support and be able to enroll those devices. I'd like a more holistic view of our IT estate rather than just for our Windows operating system.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 manages our Windows operating estate in one place, offers holistic reporting, and allows remote access to enrolled PCs, enhancing our system's health assessment.

  ### 19. Effortless Remote Management and Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fazrul S. | Information Technology Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

This tool assists with remote access, running scripts, automating tasks, and deploying updates and patches. It has made managing these processes much more efficient for me.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Unable to use live terminal to run script, no live monitoring tools to monitor cpu usage, ram usage and storage

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, the company did not have any automation in place. I was searching for a free RMM solution similar to Tactical when I came across Action1, a cloud-based RMM. With Action1, I am now able to remotely access client machines, manage patch updates, and run scripts from a distance.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Fazrul,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Action1. We're pleased to hear that it has helped you with remote access, script running, and automating tasks. We understand your concerns about the live terminal and monitoring tools, and we'll work on improving those features.

  ### 20. Effortless Patch Management with a Simple Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe B. | IT Systems Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like that Action1 is simple to use with a great interface. It's also great that it's free for 200 endpoints. I appreciate the script usage, the reboot feature, and the ability to update apps directly from the console. The initial setup of Action1 was very easy, which made transitioning to it smooth for our team.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Visibility to updates could be a bit better

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for patch management, handling Windows and app updates easily. It's simple to use, with a great interface and is free for 200 endpoints. The script usage, reboot feature, and updating apps directly from the console are also very helpful.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Joe,

We're glad to hear that you find Action1 simple to use and that the initial setup was easy for your team. We'll definitely take your feedback on the visibility on updates into account for future enhancements.

  ### 21. 5/5 Stars: Action1 – Simple, Powerful, and Crystal Clear

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I've been using Action1 for endpoint management, and it's a game-changer for IT teams. The standout feature is its incredible ease of use – even without a steep learning curve, you can deploy agents, run scripts, and manage patches across hundreds of devices in minutes. No more wrestling with complex setups; it's intuitive from day one.

The dashboard delivers precise, actionable insights at a glance. Every metric – from patch compliance to software inventory – is clearly labeled, color-coded, and drill-down ready. No vague charts or guesswork; you get exactly the data you need to make quick decisions.

What really impresses is the console's raw power. It handles large-scale automation effortlessly, with robust scripting support and remote control that scales without hiccups. We've cut our maintenance time in half while boosting security.

Highly recommend for any IT pro seeking efficiency without the hassle!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Maybe more features, but not necessary at all

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solve the problem to have the endpoints up to date for OS and softwrae.
Solve the problem to implement bulk software or execute massive scripts.

  ### 22. Best package for a small MSP in 2025

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ernie A. | Owner / Sr. Field Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Extremely easy patching. I mean extremely! Automating in batches has literally never been this easy. And FREE for the first 200 clients? Why would anyone use anything else? This is the perfect utility for the small MSP or side gig IT person looking to grow the business. AND you get remote monitoring and management?

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I have yet to find any downside to Action1. I would probably like a better remote connection utility like Splashtop...but that's me being picky.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a less than stellar experience with SyncroMSP for the remote management aspect. Too full featured, the iOS apps are buggy, no real good tech support. And the fact that I can monitor, patch, connect to, etc. 200 devices for free? Wow.

  ### 23. Easy Setup, Intuitive Interface, and Broad Patch Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teo . | IT Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Easy to setup. Interface is easily understood. Support for patches across a wide range of products.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Had a couple of computers that worked in the beginning, but I ended up having to remove and reinstall the Action1 agent. That´s it!

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I inherited this environment and it was very far behind with patches.

  ### 24. Easy, Secure, Budget-Friendly Updates That Just Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee P. | Director of IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It works well and gives us the flexibility and security we need to make sure the necessary updates are in place on schedule, and it still fits our small org’s budget. It is easy to use pretty intuitive to get up and running quickly but powerful enough to do more when you are ready. It is easy, fast, and just plain works.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It doesn’t detect all of the applications I have installed.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The security exposure created by third-party apps that aren’t covered by Windows Updates is a major attack vector that Action1 helps cover.

  ### 25. Amazing Visibility Into Workstation Security Status

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark P. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Visibility into the security status of our workstations is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Uncertainty regarding when and how to deploy updates

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The deprecation of WSUS left us hanging. Since our numbers are low enough that Action1 is very economical for us, this was a godsend.

  ### 26. Affordable and Effective Patching Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farhad D. | IT Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like that Action1 puts all my patching under one pane of glass and makes it easy to see which are needed where. The very best thing about Action1 is the price. It's free for 200 endpoints, which is an incredible deal and doesn't seem to be limited in any way. This is a much better deal compared to other products that would charge several dollars per month per machine, especially for small to medium businesses. The initial setup of Action1 was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The Vulnerabilities list will sometimes show several or dozens of CVEs due to a single piece of software, which artificially inflates the statistics. I'd like to see a collapsed version based on the actual software packages present.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for patch remediation in mixed environments. It consolidates my patching under one pane of glass, making it easy to identify needed patches.

  ### 27. Powerful RMM Tool with Effortless Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colin P. | Say admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I use Action1 for patching all our machines. I like that it keeps everything up to date and I can remote into desktops regardless of VPN status. The software is easy to use and quite powerful. I'm glad that it now works with Mac computers, which we have a few of. It's a great product. The RMM and scripts are very useful, and RDP is great as well. The initial setup was very easy; you just download the deployment and install it, and it works very well and is a quick install that runs in the background.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

N/A

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 keeps everything up to date and allows me to remote into desktops regardless of VPN status.

  ### 28. Makes Vulnerability Remediation and Updates Incredibly Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark K. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

vulnerability remediation is incredibly easy as is keeping software up to date

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

i'd like the ability to create automations based on certain criteria - if then statements

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 allows me to remediate vulnerabilities with just a few simple clicks - no matter if it's 1 vulnerability or 300. it also allows me to make sure that all installed software is up-to-date. the built in software repository is incredible and it's so easy to implement and use.

  ### 29. Action1 is IT management. Simple, efficient, and incredibly effective and Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Impressed with Action1's automation capabilities and proactive monitoring. It's a reliable tool that saves time and reduces stress.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Action1 is a fantastic tool for managing Windows environments, but it falls short in its lack of Linux support.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is a powerful tool that addresses several critical IT challenges, making my work more efficient and secure with security vulnerabilities remediation.

Solution: Action1 automates the entire patch management process, including vulnerability scanning, patch deployment, and reporting. This saves me countless hours and ensures that all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.

  ### 30. It Just Works: Solid UI, Ready-Made Dashboards, and Smooth Patching

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It just… works. The UI is solid, and the dashboards are already set up and right in your face, which makes it easy to get started. It’s straightforward to navigate and performs extremely well. We were having trouble with our other patching product, and this has been a much smoother experience so far. Customers have said it's not noisy and the flexible reboots is very helpful..

Pricing is good, not the best but still easily to quote.

Support from the account managers is great (Dru) but Support has not been a good experience on the one ticket we logged.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Support & doesn't look at registry vulnerabilities

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching that works as soon as you run it, and its realtime.

  ### 31. Powerful Automation for Remote Scripting, Installs, Configuration, and Patching

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan R. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I appreciate the automation features for remote scripting, application installation and configuration, as well as the patching capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I wish the reporting were more intuitive. I also wish there were a way to sort, filter, and organize endpoint groups into folders. I create quite a few groups to apply specific automations or to check in on regularly, and managing them is tedious because there isn’t a simple click-to-expand dropdown list in the endpoints section of the web UI.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching, remote software management, security, vulnerability resolution, and clear visibility across endpoints and servers.

  ### 32. Fast, Free, and Easy Remote Control with Streamlined Update Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason R. | District Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Ease of use, ability to control updates all at once, remote control built in. Free product, very fast, controls deployment/onboarding efficiently. I have not tried integration yet

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

So far, I have not found anything to dislike about action1 except the auto logout

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows me to control updates, I can remote into systems at will, easily

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Jason,

Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you find Action1 easy to use and efficient for update management and remote control.

  ### 33. Central Control and Single Pane of Glass

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Blake O. | Technical Services Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like how the dashboard give a single-pane-of-glass view of all the crucial metrics of our environment. We've only rolled it out to a couple of pilot groups to start, and it's already given us valuable insight into where to tighten up our security posture. The granular control over patch approvals, plus the fact that the first 200 endpoints are free, reassured us we make the right choice. I'm looking forward to seeing how secure we are a month from now.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

We are still in the early phases and so far there are no major downsides to report.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we brought Action1 into the environment, patching wasn't centralized whatsoever. Now, we are beginning to align on a strategy to ensure all desktops and servers are patched consistently and on a reliable schedule.

  ### 34. Action1 Is Truly “Set It and Forget It” for Automatic Updates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheryl O. | Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I set up Action1 about a year ago, and it’s been a true “set it and forget it” experience, which I really love. Action1 takes care of the automatic updates and then emails me a reminder to check the Dashboard, just in case there’s anything I might be missing.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

This isn’t necessarily about Action1, but a Microsoft update broke a few things on about 10 of my computers, and I had to visit each one to repair the problem. Action1 updates no matter what. Again, this isn’t Action1’s fault.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time—or the lack of it—is always the challenge. Action1 takes care of my updates and helps me keep my environment secure while I focus on other issues. It gives me real peace of mind.

  ### 35. Simple and Fast in Patch Management, but with Small Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian N. | Responsabile ICT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I definitely like the interface of Action1, immediately intuitive and with an overview of the current vulnerabilities and pending updates. I appreciate its immediacy in distributing patches and updates and the simplicity of adding PCs with the agent.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Sometimes it seems not to recognize when an update has already been installed or a patch is already present and continues to propose it in the panel. Only after several attempts is it recognized.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to manage PCs and centralized updates, resolving the timing in updates. It is useful for tracking critical operations thanks to its audit section, and it is intuitive and simple for quickly deploying patches.

  ### 36. Easy-to-Use UX with Great Support and a Clear Infrastructure Overview

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Easy-to-use UX, great support and onboarding, and it’s extremely helpful to have an overall view of our infrastructure. It has really helped our performance by ensuring our infrastructure stays up to date.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Nothing comes to mind at the moment. Action1 has been extremely good for me, and I haven’t run into any issues so far!

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring that our infrastructure stays up to date and is as secure as it can be. This has also taken the pressure away from relying on end users having to run their updates themselves.

  ### 37. Fully Features with Remote Device Control Features to Adequately Offer Remote Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard G. | Technical Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The reliable screen sharing ensures easy remote control of devices to troubleshoot issues or access files and I like that it is awesomely secure and also impressed with their reliable support that continues to provide great services and help when needed.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I don’t dislike anything about this platform it is straightforward to use and very reliable for offering IT support.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows quick connections to remote devices to install updates or troubleshoot issues which makes our technical support very effective and leads to more predictable support performance across the organization.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Absar,

We're glad to hear that you've found value in Action1. We're constantly working to improve our platform, and your feedback about adding and inventory management system is valuable to us.

  ### 38. Cloud-Native Automation: Set it, Forget it, Stay Secure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It has transformed our deployment process. Instead of downloading and "packaging" apps myself, I simply select the app from Action1’s verified library. This automated packaging saves me at least 4–5 hours of manual research and testing every week. I didn't expect to use Action1 for asset management, but the Real-Time Inventory is so granular that I can instantly see which laptops have failing batteries or which workstations are running out of disk space. It turned a patching tool into a proactive hardware monitoring system.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It does not have an integrated ticketing system, billing module, or professional services automation. The interface primarily uses a "flat" grouping structure. It lacks the ability to create nested subgroups (e.g., Department > Floor > Team). 3rd party RDP integration would be great, prefer RustDesk.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

e relied on traditional tools (like WSUS) or manual checks. This meant patching only worked if users were on the VPN, third-party apps (Chrome, Zoom, Adobe) were ignored, and "successful" updates were a guessing game.

  ### 39. Efficient Patch Management Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher P. | Senior Systems Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I appreciate how Action1 handles vulnerability scanning, mitigation, and patch management more effectively than most remote monitoring and management tools' built-in patching. I like the compatibility with both PC and Mac, which ensures that I can manage a diverse range of systems seamlessly. The expansive and continually growing list of supported software is another aspect I enjoy because it simplifies my workflow by automatically detecting and managing the software without the need for manual input. I have shifted from other patch management tools, including those integrated with RMM systems, as this just works better overall. Setup is easy. It only took about five minutes, from account creation to deploying agents and starting patching operations. Finally, I will recommend Action1 to others, rating it as a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I don't like that an email account changes require a new account to be made and cannot be updated from the same account.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 enhances our patch management by seamlessly handling vulnerability scanning and mitigation, supports a vast range of software, and works well on both PC and Mac. It eliminates manual software entry and significantly outperforms other patching tools we have used.

  ### 40. Effortless Remote Management with Minor Connectivity Hitches

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like the remote access and the ability to run scripts without disrupting users' sessions. This is super useful because I work at a service company where users are often busy with their tasks or the technicians, so doing things behind the scenes is very helpful. I also find that the initial setup of Action1 was extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I wish there was a way to connect to the user's computer through a backdoor application and drag and drop files. Also, the connectivity through the web browser remote sessions could be improved.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Action1 useful for automatic patching and remote access, running scripts without disrupting users' sessions. This helps me at a service company as users are usually working, so doing things behind the scenes is very helpful.

  ### 41. Action1 Makes Endpoint Management Quick, Intuitive, and Easy to Start

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 helps people who need endpoint management get started quickly and easily. The user interface is intuitive, and the first 200 endpoints are always free.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

So far I haven't run across anything that I dislike about Action1.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is providing us with scripting that we can run on our machines. We cannot use group policy because the machines are not joined to any domain. Action1 also acts as a backup to our remote connection software, which has come in handy on multiple occasions.

  ### 42. Patch management at its best, with ultra-complete documentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yann B. | Administrateur système, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

the management of patches, accompanied by its super comprehensive documentation, and its free availability

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

it's a shame that there is no native report on the monthly backups for each endpoint

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it replaced my WSUS, and thanks to its native P2P, it solves the problem of bandwidth overload on our firewall.

  ### 43. Easy and Intuitive for Remote Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sistemas J. | Administrador de TI, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like that Action1 is light and quiet. I especially enjoy the scripts that I can execute easily, which improves my remote team management. Additionally, I found the initial setup of Action1 easy and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The RDP remote control must have a silent theme and more compatibility to view the GUI of remote desktops.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for remote administration, deployment, and task automation on Windows devices. It helps me manage devices, install software, run scripts, and automate support tasks.

  ### 44. Great Value: Free Up to 200

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric P. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

For a product that advertises itself as free (for up to 200) devices, it's a great tool for smaller organizations looking at getting a single pane view of the fleet of devices. With the recent inclusion of MacOS and Linux, it truly is a great tool to roll out patches, run automation across devices, and get quick information about your devices, have reports generated automatically (low disk space, etc.). There's an API that allows you to connect 3rd party items with Action1 (ie: Snipe-IT) to have a really robust 'source of truth'. Set up was painless, account create, and first end point added in less than 5 minutes. It's my go-to tool, having a permanent location on my bookmark bar as I access it multiple time a day.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There's not much to dislike about Action1, for what I use it for, it fits the bill.

The dashboard could use a little love (customization) to perhaps take data from the Data Sources/Reports to provide a quick view of key metrics that you care about (ie: disk space) without having to run the Reports. The Remote screen share is great (web based, vs UDP or TCP, so no firewall manipulations required), however I find the performance sluggish. But in a pinch, it works great.

Some missing features are actively being considered, and are visible in their roadmap (ie: Self-Service Software Portal/Catalogue).

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single pane view of all devices in my fleet. The remote desktop capability work well enough, and I can easily deploy my tools onto the endpoints (and do some rudimentary remote support). By far the best feature is the patching/deployment of updates.

  ### 45. Optimized Platform with Fast, Responsive Performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge T. | computer engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

the optimization of the platform and the response

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Nothing really, I feel like everything is perfect as it is.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me solve the problem with the device viewer and helps me maintain a constant inventory of both devices and apps

  ### 46. Effortless Security with Action1's Fast Scanning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas d. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I find Action1's easy scanning to be incredible, it's the most astonishing scanning response I've ever seen in any market tool. I love how fast it updates an endpoint, with the status dashboard updated in less than 3 minutes. The minimal overhead or resource footprint on the endpoint machines is a very distinguishing aspect. The clear reports and easy-to-use interface made the choice a no-brainer for me. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, with a zero-effort process, and a very friendly and helpful UI.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I noticed it lacks a little more support for log dispatching or custom notifications. Also, notification and log sending support would be great. There are environments where air-gapped solutions are mandatory, so a server approach for centralized deployment would be great, although that's not our case.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 provides a clear path to compliance and enhanced security. It offers easy scanning with minimal resource footprint and clear reports, which simplifies vulnerability management and improves our security posture.

  ### 47. Saves Time with Seamless Device Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sierra B.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I use Action1 to monitor our devices and push out updates, which saves me a ton of time because I don’t have to physically go to each computer. It makes multitasking easy during big projects. I can access all necessary device information like the asset tag, device name, and Windows version effortlessly. While filling out forms, I can also deploy updates and address vulnerabilities simultaneously. The initial setup was very easy, which I appreciate, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It has some compatibility issues with different software. There was awhile there where we would have to uninstall Action1 first before we could do what we needed to, then install Action1 again. But recently I noticed that specific issue had been resolved.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to monitor devices, push updates, and address security issues without going to each computer, saving me time. It lists device info for multitasking during projects, allowing me to deploy updates and manage vulnerabilities efficiently.

  ### 48. Seamless Transition to Action1, Boosts Control & Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel E.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I love how Action1 has made a huge difference in providing internal visibility and control, allowing me to know exactly what's going on immediately. Pulling updates and rebooting are so much better and have saved me a lot of time. It's quick, simple, and easy to use, and I was able to pick it up fairly quickly after moving from Datto. The layout is one of the easiest to run. Everything has been beneficial and positive compared to my previous system. The initial setup was super easy, or as I would say, night and day easy.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I have a lot of updates that don't get pushed through because end users didn't do updates, and I'm learning the hard way that my old system either had a delay or tooling issues, resulting in incorrect and outdated information on my computers.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I replaced Datto RMM with Action1, which hugely improved internal control and visibility. Action1 saves me time by making updates and reboots ten times better, provides full visibility and control over computers, and ensures software installs properly.

  ### 49. Cost-Effective Solution with Great Patching Capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johan J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like Action1 for its pricing, which stands out as a positive aspect for me. Additionally, I find the ability to run scripts beneficial. We can do our own scripts and run them against different endpoints like Windows or Mac, which adds valuable flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find that it still lacks some features for macOS.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Action1 to update third-party software and complement Microsoft Intune by providing remote control capabilities.

  ### 50. Effortless Agent & Patch Deployment with Scalable SMB Pricing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon Y. | ITO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Ease of use and deployment of agents and patches. Pricing is attractive for SMBs and it looks to scale well as you grow.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Customization for reporting can be expanded to strengthen visibility.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solved plugging the RRM hole with a small IT team & resources
