action1 has been an outstanding addition to our IT toolkit. As someone who manages endpoints across a distributed environment, I’ve been genuinely impressed by how well it handles the heavy lifting of patch management, vulnerability assessment, and remote support. The platform is cloud-native, extremely easy to deploy, and requires almost no ongoing maintenance once it’s set up. I especially appreciate that it just works reliably without needing a VPN or complex infrastructure. The free tier for the first 200 endpoints is a huge bonus for smaller teams or testing, and the overall value is excellent. It has significantly reduced the time I spend on routine patching and security compliance tasks while giving me clear visibility into our endpoint health. I would highly recommend Action1 to any IT professional or MSP looking for a straightforward, effective endpoint management solution. The BEST part about action1 is that its literally the most light weight thing i've ever used. THE UI is very easy, and integration for other software already exists. Action1 gives me a level of visibility to the endpoint patching status that I never had, especially 3rd-party apps. I can instantly get a view of how things are going It also features hardware and software reporting that beats what I had been using. It integrated easily into our environment, very easy to deploy. So far nothing really jumps out as an issue. Common to a lot of software nowadays, you have to jump through a lot of separate docs to learn some of the finer points, as opposed to one big indexed PDF which I'd prefer. Most of it doesn't even require docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't really have any negative points to mention. Perhaps the built-in reports could be improved to make inventory management even simpler.

The thing I like best about Action1 is how smoothly it handles patch management for remote and hybrid endpoints without needing a VPN.

I have been using Action1 now for a few years, It has continued to be as impressive as the first day I used it. It covers all of the requirements I need and many, many more. It has been an integral part of the service we provide and a big contributor to our growth. During this time we have seen the expansion of Action1 to cover Mac and Linux. Since we started using Action1 there has been nothing that we have disliked, with their roadmap we have been able to suggest any features that we may like adding, and support features that others have suggested, with very clear timelines of when features will be incorporated into the system, these upgrades are seamless and frequent. The simplicity. Action1 is easy to deploy, easy to manage, and doesn't require a lot of ongoing maintenance. Patch management, reporting, remote access, and software deployment are all available from a single cloud-based console, making day-to-day administration much more efficient. Like any platform, there are always features I'd like to see expanded. More advanced reporting options and additional automation flexibility would be welcome as our environment continues to grow, but none of those have been significant enough to affect our overall experience. I like that Action1 is free and easy to deploy, which makes getting started a breeze. It’s fairly easy to understand and customize to fit my needs. The support and documentation are solid, providing a reliable foundation for any issues that arise. The better support and informative webinars are particularly beneficial, as the support team really understands the needs of modern system administrators without focusing on upselling. The remote access could use some improvements and feature additions. Also, there could be easier linking to running automation just reducing the number of clicks and improving the auto generated titles of the automations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it also allows me to keep track of third-party software installations and updates and even has a large library of our LOB application stack already configured for updating / installation. Control of Windows updates and a top down view of which third party software is out of date. Some third party programs don't auto update reliably or check for updates often enough. It's great to have one pane that highlights this and allows you to instantly push those updates to clients. Teh best surprise feature is built-in remote desktop to clients. Some programs can be installed in the user scope as opposed to the system scope. Action1 will see Firefox is very outdated and let you push the latest version and it will succeed however, because it installs the latest version at the system level, the outdated version installed in the user scope stays installed and outdated. I could be missing a way that Action1 has to resolve this but I believe the only work around is to physically go the client or use the built-in RDP and uninstall the outdated program from the user directory that it is installed in.
