## Action1 Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Setup, Powerful Patch Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach G.

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I appreciate the simplicity and ease of setup with Action1, which made the transition very smooth, with no pain points at all. Its user experience is a significant highlight, contributing to a seamless engagement with the software. The ability to push out patches based on their criticality is incredibly valuable, ensuring our systems are promptly updated while providing high flexibility in patch management. I also find the inclusion of a remote tool essential, as it allows us to assist users needing help by remotely accessing their systems. This feature significantly enhances our ability to provide support. The free access for the first two hundred devices was a compelling factor in adopting Action1, offering a great starting point without immediate financial commitment. Overall, the software's capabilities in third-party patch management effectively meet our needs without being too intrusive with our endpoints.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I think Action1 could improve by offering a better remote management tool. This enhancement could further refine the experience and maximize the product's usability and effectiveness for users.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 for seamless third-party patch management, which is easy to execute and minimally intrusive on endpoints. It offers a streamlined process compared to previous solutions and includes essential remote access tools for assisting users.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Zach,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Action1 -- it's great to hear that the setup process was effortless and the user experience was seamless. Your feedback on the remote management tool is valuable, and we will use it to continue improving our product!

  ### 2. Effortless Endpoint Management with Action1—Stable, Simple, and Exceptionally Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has completely streamlined our endpoint management. We manage around 50 devices, and the platform makes patch management effortless. The interface is clean, intuitive, and genuinely easy to use — no overcomplication like you see with other RMMs. The patching library is extensive and always up to date, and the success rate of automated patch deployment has been nearly flawless. Compared to NinjaOne, Atera, and ManageEngine, Action1 stands out as more stable, simpler to manage, and overall more effective.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There’s honestly very little to complain about. Reporting could be a bit more customizable, but that’s minor — it doesn’t take away from how well the platform performs day-to-day.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 has solved our patch management and endpoint visibility challenges across multiple sites. Before adopting it, keeping Windows systems consistently updated and secure was a manual, time-consuming process. Now we have automated patching, centralized visibility into compliance, and instant remote access when issues come up — all without deploying any on-prem infrastructure. It’s drastically improved our patch success rates, reduced downtime, and simplified IT operations overall.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> It's great to hear how Action1 has solved your patch management and endpoint visibility challenges! Thank you for review and feedback on customizable reporting.

  ### 3. Simplifies Patching with Ease and Affordability

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like Action1 because of its ease of use and low cost. The initial setup was extremely easy, which was a huge plus for us, as we didn't have a patching solution before. Action1 keeps our laptops up to date, and I find it helpful for maintaining our systems.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I think Action1's remote access needs general improvements.

  ### 5. Seamless Patching and Software Deployment with Action1

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I really appreciate the smooth and straightforward setup process of Action1, which made the initial integration into our system seamless. The option to have 200 free endpoints is a significant advantage and certainly aids in evaluating the service without a substantial financial commitment. Action1 allows us to efficiently manage and keep track of patching needs, ensuring that client devices remain up-to-date and reducing troubleshooting complexities. This proactive update feature effectively solves problems before they become issues, enhancing our overall productivity. Moreover, integrating Action1 with major tools like Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Microsoft 365 has been straightforward. These features collectively reinforce my decision to recommend Action1 to others, reflected in my high recommendation score of nine.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find the support system lacking as it currently involves blindly searching through documents rather than having an AI support tool to interact with. This makes finding the needed assistance more cumbersome and less efficient.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to keep track of patching needs, which keeps systems up to date and reduces troubleshooting steps, solving issues before they occur.

  ### 6. Easy to Use, Intuitive, and Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

  ### 7. Solid Remote Support and Client Protection Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn H.

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I have been using Action1 for over a year primarily for managing updates and vulnerabilities, and I have been very pleased with its performance. The software particularly excels in providing remote support and ensuring that clients are well protected, which is crucial for my needs. Action1 utilizes CVEs and various mechanisms to deliver this level of protection effectively. Additionally, I find the updating and remote support features incredibly useful in my day-to-day operations. The simplicity of Action1 stands out positively, making it approachable and easy to integrate for other managed services providers, which I often consult with. I have already recommended it to others and am confident in its ability to attract more users based on its utility and ease of use. In fact, I am so satisfied with Action1 that I rate my likelihood of recommending it a strong 10 out of 10, having already convinced someone else of its benefits.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

While I found Action1 beneficial overall, setting it up initially was somewhat challenging. Despite having extensive experience, I would rate the setup difficulty around a three out of ten. It wasn't extremely difficult, but it also wasn't the easiest process. Additionally, I think there could be improvements in certain areas, especially when considering future needs, like addressing mobile devices effectively. I also suggested considering a free tier with reasonably priced modules, such as a $50 per month option for up to 200 users, which might enhance its adoption.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to manage updates, handle vulnerabilities, and ensure remote support, helping protect clients through CVEs and other mechanisms.

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Patch Management is the core functionality that we use. This is the main strength of Action1

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It's scope and functionality is limited to systems with an installed agent, no network monitoring of snmp or vm monitoring. No ticketing features

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management and vulnerability dashboard

  ### 9. Ease of Use with Robust Visibility and Customization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominic G.

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I love Action1's ease of use with a well-thought-out UI that makes administrative work streamlined and convenient. The free tier is amazing for trying out the product and also gives smaller companies the opportunity to use the tool for free, making their environment safer. I also appreciate the customizability of the platform and its overall feel, look, and responsiveness. The initial setup was super straightforward, which I found really great.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find that the reporting could be better, and there could be improvements on feedback for automation and scripting. Most importantly for me, I wish there was an option to set a password for uninstallation to block malicious actors from uninstalling the product.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 provides visibility across multiple remote sites and has effective patch management and RMM functionalities.

  ### 10. Very intuitive, fast, and with exemplary customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Very intuitive, very fast with good results, customer service was exemplary.

Deploy software for various PC use cases, roll out self-created scripts. Remote maintenance.

  ### 11. Works for beginners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott L. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

With my limited knowledge about IT matters I am able to easily patch vulnerabilities, update/deploy software, and even remote into desktops at any of our 3 locations. Action1's video/webinars made it easy for me to learn and easy to implement the basics that we needed to get organized and make our workstations safer than they have ever been.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I have a big learning curve since I'm not familiar with the jargon and all of the features. It would be nice to have an "novice" view or something. For a free product I understand why support is a paid service and only available in a knowledgebase, but do wish there was a little more support to get up and running.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patch management has helped us ensure our workstations are HIPAA compliant and that vulnerabilities are flagged. The ability to remote support staff with other related issues has saved travel and eliminated wait times.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Thanks for the review, Scott! We're glad that you're finding success with Action1. If you're looking for more guides on our product and features, feel free to check out our "Documentation" page on our website (linked below).

  ### 12. Effortless Windows Patching, Needs Report Accuracy Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John W.

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I love how Action1 significantly simplifies the process of patching Windows endpoints, which was a cumbersome task before. The user-friendly interface streamlines the workflow, making the task almost effortless compared to manual patching and previous solutions like WSUS. Additionally, receiving reports on Windows endpoint patching is incredibly beneficial for keeping track of the updates, ensuring all endpoints are managed properly. The initial setup was a breeze, saving my team time and reducing the hassle often associated with integrating new software. Overall, Action1 provides efficient management capabilities that enhance productivity and confidence in endpoint security.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I dislike that the scheduled email reports contain both live and cached data, which can lead to incorrect information if the cached data hasn't been updated.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Action1 makes Windows endpoint patching easy and provides helpful patching reports, although scheduled reports may include outdated cached data.

  ### 13. Effortless Setup and Outstanding Patch Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is straightforward to set up, which makes it a great alternative to WSUS. Beyond its excellent patch management support, I also find the remote access feature to be particularly useful.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

So far, I haven't encountered anything disappointing about Action1. I especially appreciate how generous the free tier is. It would be even more impressive if there were more MFA options to strengthen access security when necessary. Additionally, having the option to self-host would be a very appealing feature.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 assists us in managing security patches and also offers some remote access capabilities for essential technical support. Its main advantage lies in giving us complete control over how and when security updates are applied, which helps us avoid vulnerabilities in applications that are vital to our business operations.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> We're glad that you find Action1's setup and patch management beneficial. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to take your suggestions into consideration for future improvements.

I also appreciate the vulnerability checker because it helps keep my network safe. The initial setup was very simple, and overall, compared to the older program, it's a better upgrade for sure.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I can’t say anything so far.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to check for vulnerabilities and it helps keep my network safe. It lets me know which PC needs critical updates, with a better UI than other programs.

Real world assessment of vulnerabilities and holes in patching.

  ### 17. Easy Setup and Straightforward Patch Deployment

  ### 18. Automates Patches with Easy Setup, Needs Faster Deployment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satish S. | Associate devsecops engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The real-time visibility it provides is invaluable, offering instant insights into application health, security, and compliance, which significantly enhances our endpoint management. Additionally, the platform's cloud-based setup is very straightforward, eliminating the need for on-premises infrastructure configuration and expediting the deployment process. These features collectively contribute to a user-friendly and excellent experience overall with Action1.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find the software deployment process takes longer than expected, which can be frustrating. Additionally, the error details provided should be more comprehensive to help troubleshoot issues faster.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to automate patch deployment, enhance endpoint visibility, and reduce software management effort. It saves time with effective patch management and provides real-time visibility into app health and compliance, streamlining deployment.

  ### 19. Efficient patch management for our NGO – reliable, clear, and time-saving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has proven to be an extremely helpful tool for our NGO. We are particularly impressed by its clarity, logical structure, and the resulting ease of use. The automation of patch management saves us valuable resources, which we, as a non-profit organization, can sensibly use in other areas.
The integration into our existing infrastructure went smoothly, and the range of functions fully meets our requirements. Adding our own software to the software repository is also easy to implement. Particularly noteworthy is the real-time detection of existing security risks of the installed software and operating systems, including the CVE numbers, which is technically well implemented.
We have not yet had to use customer support, as the existing documentation has been completely sufficient for our purposes so far.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Actually, we lack nothing essential in Action1 for our daily work. We primarily use another tool for remote desktop access. In our tests, the remote desktop function of Action1 seemed a bit sluggish, but this could also be due to our specific setup. Overall, however, this does not represent a significant disadvantage, as the core functions of patch management fully meet our requirements.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before the introduction of Action1, we primarily faced challenges with the timely and reliable distribution of security updates across our various systems. The manual management was prone to errors and tied up valuable resources that we, as an NGO, urgently needed in other areas.

Action1 has helped us effectively solve these problems: By automating patch management, we can now ensure that all systems are always up to date without manual effort. The real-time detection of security risks, including CVE numbers, additionally provides us with the necessary transparency to act proactively. This not only saves us time but also significantly increases the security of our IT infrastructure. Especially as a non-profit organization, we benefit from being able to focus on our core tasks instead of being held up by technical maintenance work.

  ### 20. The Best Patch Management System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** IT R. | ICT Systems Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The automated patching for Windows and third-party apps
Remote scripting and endpoint management are the best
Great support and documentation
Easy deployment and management
Affordable for SMBs

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The interface can feel a bit basic at times, which I don't mind.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I am a one-man IT team, Action1 has helped me to solve the challenge of keeping all my organization's endpoints up to date and secure, especially. Before using Action1, I did not have a patch management system, and I had to do everything manually and it was time-consuming. Now, I have the ease of use in terms of automated Windows and third-party software updates through script running, and getting reports on detailed patch compliance, all from a single cloud system.

The remote management features also help me since I don’t need to be physically onsite to resolve common issues, which boosts my efficiency significantly. This has been a great help for me to save time, reduce vulnerabilities, and make sure that our systems are compliant with internal and external security policies.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you are enjoying and seeing value from Action1. We appreciate your feedback about the interface and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

  ### 21. Simplicity and Convenience: Unique in Its Kind

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ambrogio D.

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like the simplicity of using Action1, which makes patch management very convenient. I also appreciate the full free version up to 200 endpoints, which is unique compared to competitors who are all paid. This free offer was one of the main reasons it was approved by management, simplifying the work for us in the IT department. Moreover, setting up Action1 was really easy; I started by installing the agent on a few clients and then distributed it via active directory.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

the only flaw perhaps is the lack of Italian, I had to manually translate everything

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make the distribution and updating of software on corporate clients more convenient.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Ambrogio,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Action1. We understand the importance of language support and will take your feedback into account for future improvements.

  ### 22. Automates Tedious Server Updates Seamlessly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanner T.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Being able to automatically update all of our servers has been a huge help. Before, I'd need to log in manually to our many servers and update them. Action1 has cut down the time it takes by hours. I used the free version and have had no issues with it.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I haven't had any issues with it.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 solves the tedious task of remoting into every server for updates. I automate server updates with it, ensuring they're done even when I'm not around. If we add all our computers, it helps push software to employee computers.

  ### 23. Effortless Setup and Intuitive Navigation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

There's quite a lot. I love that it is simple and easy to set up. The flow of the software is intuitive which makes navigating the different areas straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I wish there was better customer support for the free tier. It can be difficult to get assistance from forums.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've always struggled with WSUS and deploying updates timely and effectively. Action1 makes it so simple to approve and deploy missing updates to our endpoints. We're finally in a position where we can have all of our endpoints completely up to date with windows updates. And the best part is that this can be managed by one staff member as part of their daily tasks instead of a whole team taking time after hours.

  ### 24. Simple Setup, Clear Reporting, and a Powerful UI with a Generous Free Trial

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Simple to setup, reporting which makes sense. The 200 free endpoints allows for a trouble-free trial before committing funds. UI is simple, but powerful and new integrations are on the roadmap. No offensive AI features rammed down your throat.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Interface, whilst good, can at times be a little clunky and slow.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have far more visibility over my endpoints, some of which I don't physically see very often.

  ### 25. Constantly Updated Software Repository Makes App Management a Breeze

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy L. | IT Systems Specialist III, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I love their Software Repository. It’s constantly being updated for both Windows and Mac. This makes the amount of apps I have to manage much more manageable. Having their team get things beforehand is a great resource.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Some major MDM factors are missing but they’re always adding things. The lack of mobile support for iPads, iPhones, Android devices is a major setback. Lack of Company Portal (which is coming soon) is noticeable.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying security risks and either alerting or actively patching. Runs automated tasks to keep devices up to date. Helps push scripts or different fixes for apps.

I use Action1 as my main RMM platform to centralize the management of my clients' assets. The feature I appreciate the most is the Cloud-Native architecture, which does not require a VPN to manage remote machines.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There is a lack of a native app for basic monitoring via mobile phone.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Action1 to centralize asset management, solving problems of lack of visibility, manual deployment, security gaps, remote machine management, and Shadow IT. It does not require a VPN to manage remote machines.

  ### 28. Action1 for Essential and Reliable Tool During Our Transition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 has been a great help for us while our company is still in transition. We’re still running some systems on Windows Server 2012 R2, and since WSUS is already end-of-life, Action1 filled that gap perfectly. It allowed us to keep all our workstations and servers up to date without any hassle.

Once we finish the transition and move to newer operating systems, we plan to keep using Action1. It’s reliable, easy to use, and has a lot of useful features beyond just Windows Updates. Overall, it’s been a solid tool that made our patch management much easier.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Honestly, there’s no to dislike. If anything, I’d like to see an option for an on-prem or hybrid setup that can centrally download updates and distribute them to endpoints. This would help in environments with limited internet or multiple remote sites.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 solved our problem with Windows Updates after WSUS reached end-of-life on our Windows Server 2012 R2 environment. It gave us a simple, cloud-based way to patch and manage updates across all our workstations and servers without relying on the old WSUS setup. This kept our systems secure and up to date during our company’s transition period, and saved a lot of time compared to manual updates.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Thank you for your feedback - we are thrilled to hear that Action1 has been a valuable tool for your company during the transition period! We appreciate your suggestion for an on-prem or hybrid setup, and we'll definitely take it into consideration for future updates.

Despite its high functionality, you can also use remote desktop for free. Additionally, the security is solid, so you can use it with peace of mind.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The cause is still unknown, but there may be a failure the first time when performing a remote desktop. It works fine the second time, so there is no problem for now.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can keep track of software updates for each device in real-time, and for some software, updates can be performed from the management screen. This allows each device to be kept in a secure state.

Sometimes the errors on failed errors on automation jobs and deployment does not fully direct and guide you on how to fix. The remote tool is slow to connect to other devices.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatic patch management mostly on my case and including for third-party apps I don't have to go to each device. Scripting is made easy.

  ### 40. Effortless Remote Management with Action1

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

It didn't have support for other OSes until somewhat recently, but that's been added!

  ### 41. Effortless Updates and Intuitive Design—A Must-Have for WSUS Admins

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The remote desktop connection seemed to be a little slow and not as fast as other remote access software that I've used.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping machines updated not just with Microsoft products but also with third-party software.

  ### 42. A "way" to do it better than competing products

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amt O. | IT-Systemkoordinator, Government Administration, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I discovered Action1 by chance after trying various products from other manufacturers and finding them unsatisfactory. With Action1, it's different; nothing is promised that cannot be delivered, the documentation is first-class and very transparent. The setup is completed in just a few minutes. It is said that software is only as good as the user who operates it. With Action1, every user is a good user because the software is simple, structurally clear, and self-explanatory. Particularly noteworthy is the patch management, including third-party software, the addition of your own repository, and the vulnerabilities, which I have not seen in this form anywhere else. It is also highly recommended for small businesses, as no compromises are expected in the features of the free version. We had a problem with the verification of our account, which I reported to customer support, and the problem was resolved in no time. The software is in daily use with us and has been tested over weeks. Now the full integration of all our systems begins. Many thanks to the Action1 team!

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Of course, some compromises must be expected in certain areas, which are, however, offset by the consistently well-thought-out, easy handling and special features.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patching third-party software has always posed special challenges for us, which was solved by Acrion1 with scripts and task scheduling as well as going to the device itself. Thanks to Action1, this is now a thing of the past and greatly facilitates our work. Maintaining the WSUS was also always a lengthy task, which Action1 has taken over with flying colors. The continuous development of Acrion1 and the comprehensive information about it, as well as the live webinars, I have not been able to perceive in this form with any other provider on the market.

  ### 43. Effortless Remote Management and Security Reporting

These reports allow for transparency and give me confidence that we've mitigated attack surfaces. I also find it very easy to do the initial setup of Action1.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I find the ease or ability to update the software catalog for legacy apps or third-party apps could be improved.

  ### 45. reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sagar v. | Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

We’ve been using Action1 for about 6 months now to manage updates across our Windows domain, and honestly, it’s been a solid tool for us. We’re a small business with under 100 computers, and keeping everything patched used to be a bit of a headache.

Action1 makes the process so much easier—not only does it handle Windows updates, but it also takes care of updates for a bunch of third-party apps we have installed on our systems. That’s been a huge time-saver.

It’s been reliable the whole time we’ve had it running. Updates go out smoothly, reporting is clear, and I don’t have to constantly babysit it. For a small organization like ours, it really helps us stay on top of security without a ton of manual effort.

Definitely a great fit if you’re looking for something lightweight but powerful to keep your environment patched and up to date.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Every now and then, I’ve noticed the service on a three systems stopped reporting. When that happens, I usually have to reinstall the agent to get the computer to show up properly in the inventory. It’s only happened a couple of times, so not a big deal, but worth mentioning.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem Action1 is solving for us is keeping our Windows computers and apps up to date without a ton of manual work. Before, patching was time-consuming and hard to stay consistent with—especially in a small business where IT resources are limited.

With Action1, updates are automated across the domain, and it even covers third-party applications, not just Windows. That means fewer vulnerabilities, less downtime, and more peace of mind knowing everything is current.

For us, the big benefit is saving time and improving security. I don’t have to chase machines one by one or rely on users to install updates—it just happens in the background and gives me clear reporting to verify.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Sagar,

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Action1! We're glad to hear that our tool has been reliable and effective in managing updates for your small business. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to work on improving our service to better meet your needs.

  ### 46. it just does what it says. "Patching That Just Works"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David E. | Network Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I've been using Action1 Patch Management Service for two weeks now, and I'm extremely impressed with its effectiveness in keeping our network up-to-date and secure. The platform is incredibly easy to use.

The automated patching feature has saved us a significant amount of time and effort, as we no longer have to manually manage patches across multiple devices. Action1's solution ensures that all our endpoints are patched promptly, reducing the risk of vulnerabilities and downtime.

I particularly appreciate the following features:

Comprehensive coverage: Action1 supports a wide range of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Customizable policies: We can tailor patching schedules and settings to meet specific needs for different devices or groups within our network.
Detailed reporting: The platform provides detailed reports on patch status, which helps us identify areas that require attention and track our progress over time.

Action1's customer support has also been top-notch. Their team is responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to help resolve any issues we encounter.

Overall, I'm confident in recommending Action1 Patch Management Service to anyone seeking a reliable and efficient solution for endpoint patching. It's been a game-changer for our IT operations!

Pros:

Easy to use
Comprehensive coverage of multiple operating systems
Customizable policies
Detailed reporting

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The only issue is that I have not been able to install it on remote workstations that are on a VPN without the logged-in user taking action.
Perhaps I haven't found it yet. Not much of an issue.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote users were ignoring requests to update. Patches are now pushed out and installed with minimum effort.

  ### 47. Solution that redefines how you patch your endpoints

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

It not only allows you to set up your patching and control how and when you patch your endpoints. It also tracks your vulnerabilities so that you can pivot and adjust your patching to respond to threats. I have not found any other solution that will allow such control of patching while also keeping you informed of vulnerabilities let alone have built in mitigation.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

While Action1 does have many features that other RMM's have it clearly is focused on patching so it would be recommended to use other solutions for some of the other functions like remote desktop access of endpoints. It also does not have a remote cmd line or powershell terminal option. You would have to remote in or use scripting function.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We constantly have to decide between risking pushing out latest updates vs new vulnerabilities. Action1 has helped us quickly see when our endpoints have vulnerabilities and make decisions on when is the right time to push updates to mitigate the risks without impacting productivity.

  ### 48. Great automation, time saver for new deployments, free up to 200 assets. Forget WSUS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Petras B. | IT administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Autopatching, Ability to shedule scripts, add custom atributes to reporting. You install an agent and are ready to go. Automated patching is great it has support for apps in their catalog aswell.
You can install software from predefined list or create your own install setup.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I'm missing the ability to allow other admins to be restricted to a specific group of devices. You can scope to organizations as i understand.
Remote webview is not consistant with scaling.
Would be nice to have MDM capabilities but that is not the problem that Action1 was set out to solve, the solve patching well.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autopatching, and visibility in to my enterprise endpoints.

**Official Response from Kimberly Gonzales:**

> Hi Petras,

Thank you for your feedback! We're pleased to hear that Action1 has provided you with automated patching and visibility into your enterprise endpoints. We appreciate your input regarding the ability to restrict other admins to specific groups of devices and the consistency of remote web view scaling. Your feedback is valuable as we continue to enhance our platform.
