## Action1 Reviews
  ### 1. Action1: Fast Setup, Powerful Automation, and Great Value for MSPs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edwin C. | System Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 is incredibly easy to set up and use — I was patching endpoints within minutes of creating an account, with no steep learning curve. The free tier for up to 200 endpoints is a huge value for MSPs and small IT teams, letting us get enterprise-grade patch management without a licensing cost. The automation features are also a highlight — scheduling patch cycles and remediation scripts has saved us significant time across client environments, reducing manual, repetitive work.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

There’s a bit of a learning curve once you move past the basics and start building more advanced automation policies or custom scripts, and the documentation could be more detailed in a few areas. Reporting could also be more customizable for client-facing use; as an MSP, I often need to present patch compliance data in a specific format for clients.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 has made patch management much simpler across our client environments, helping us keep up with both OS and third-party software updates without having to manually touch every endpoint. As a result, we’ve lowered the security risk that comes from unpatched vulnerabilities and reclaimed the time we used to spend tracking patch status site by site. The free 200-endpoint tier has also made it easier to provide this same level of service to smaller clients without cutting into our margins.

  ### 2. Simple and Useful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | Security Systems Administraor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 was super easy to get set up, and we had it rolling out to devices pretty fast. We've got it on 100+ servers and 60+ Windows PCs and it's made patching and remoting into machines way less of a pain. Has made reboot night a lot easier. I've tried using Nable for the past 4 years and it always has had issues with the timing of the scripts running sometimes it's 5 minutes others it's 45 minutes. With Action1 when you send a command to a machine the command is ran within a couple of minutes. The interface is easy to use, which is nice because a lot of IT software is way more complicated than it needs to be. Installing the agent is basically just running the PowerShell script and a minute or two later the device is in the dashboard and ready to go. One of the very few software's I've used where you get more than what you pay for.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I really don't have any major complaints about Action1. I'd have to start nitpicking to find something I didn't like.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling and pushing out Windows updates. Makes it about as simple as it can be. Schedule a time to update it starts updating and if you choose it starts rebooting.

  ### 3. Ease of Use, Features, and Value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenneth R. | Assistant Manager, IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Ease of Use

One of Action1's strongest advantages is its ease of use. Deployment is straightforward, requiring only a lightweight agent on managed devices. Since the platform is fully cloud-hosted, there is no need to deploy or maintain management servers, databases, or VPN connectivity for remote devices.

Free Licensing

For organizations like ours, where the endpoint count is below 100, this offers significant value by eliminating recurring software licensing expenses.

The free license includes management for up to 100 endpoints with the same core features available to paid customers. There are no feature restrictions simply because the environment is small. This allows organizations to implement enterprise-grade endpoint management without licensing costs.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I genuinely don't have significant dislikes about Action1. The software has met my expectations well

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 has simplified endpoint administration, strengthened security, improved visibility into our IT assets, and reduced both operational effort and software licensing costs.

  ### 4. Great Platform and easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lowell A. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I like that it is very easy to setup and easy to use and is very generous with it's free plan that allows smaller companies to have the tools they need to secure and support their endpoints that they would not have otherwise. It's patch management works great and has lots of options for accepting or denying updates based on needs. it has good monitoring tools and remote access support options to quickly help end users when needed as well. It helps with device inventory as it tells you the hardware and software info of all devices connected to Action1. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a simple and highly effective solution for Patch management and with the bonus of also having some basic RMM features.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

I can't think of any major downsides. I do wish it had built-in support for updating the MS 365 desktop apps without having to set it up and configure it manually, though their database is still quite good and growing all the time. Other than that I can't really think of any right now.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the problem of not being able to remotely patch Third party software and makes it quicker and easier to Patch Windows as well. It also makes remote tech support much quicker and easier for the end user and me.

  ### 5. Free, Easy-to-Use Remote Updates That Transformed Our Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denys M. | Cybersecurity Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

You can push updates remotely and connect to the computer, which has saved us so many times. The UI is great and genuinely easy to use. For us, you can’t beat the price - free! Thank you so much; it has truly transformed our business’s security.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The remote connection could be a bit stronger, right now its very slow but it could be some firewall rules we need to change. It also shows some vulnerabilities that we have patched that vulnerability scanners that say we have remediated.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating patching, asset management and remote connection. It Excels in all of these departments and is very user friendly. The big one as well is updating applications, a huge time saver, with updates you can just turn on auto updates but the fact that it updates the applications on machines as well just saves us a lot of time.

  ### 6. Action1 Delivers Instant Patch Visibility and Strong Hardware/Software Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David P. | Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

Action1 gives me a level of visibility to the endpoint patching status that I never had, especially 3rd-party apps. I can instantly get a view of how things are going It also features hardware and software reporting that beats what I had been using. It integrated easily into our environment, very easy to deploy.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

So far nothing really jumps out as an issue. Common to a lot of software nowadays, you have to jump through a lot of separate docs to learn some of the finer points, as opposed to one big indexed PDF which I'd prefer. Most of it doesn't even require docs.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really, being on top of 3rd-party patching is the big thing. I went from really limited monitoring and control to the other end of the spectrum. It also improved on Windows update management through Intune. There's also a lot of built-in reports that provide great info beyond patch management.

  ### 7. Action1: Effortless, VPN-Free Patch Management for Remote Fleets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bartek F. | Junior Cloud Solution Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The thing I like best about Action1 is how smoothly it handles patch management for remote and hybrid endpoints without needing a VPN.

If you are managing a fleet of machines, patch compliance can usually be a massive headache—especially when users are working from home. Action1 solves this with a lightweight cloud agent that gives you full visibility and control through a single browser tab.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

The biggest issue is the very small built-in software repository. They focus heavily on security and manual verification, but the catalog is limited to basic mainstream apps

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 completely eliminates the headache of managing remote and hybrid computers by replacing heavy, old-school infrastructure like WSUS and slow VPNs with a lightweight cloud agent. It allows you to automatically patch Windows vulnerabilities and update risky third-party apps like Chrome or Zoom directly from a single browser tab, no matter where the user is working. This benefits you by cutting down weekly maintenance from hours to minutes, securing your network instantly, and letting you push scripts or software packages globally without fighting corporate firewalls.

  ### 8. The perfect solution for managing endpoints remotely

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan J. | Information Technology Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I have been using Action1 now for a few years, It has continued to be as impressive as the first day I used it. It covers all of the requirements I need and many, many more. It has been an integral part of the service we provide and a big contributor to our growth. During this time we have seen the expansion of Action1 to cover Mac and Linux. We recommend Ation1 to anybody who is looking for an all round, all singing and dancing solution for managing IT infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Since we started using Action1 there has been nothing that we have disliked, with their roadmap we have been able to suggest any features that we may like adding, and support features that others have suggested, with very clear timelines of when features will be incorporated into the system, these upgrades are seamless and frequent. Not a bad word to say about Action1.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Action1 is helping my company manage endpoints from various businesses and individuals. It allows me to separate them and manage them individually or in mass. To handle larger companies, creating a new organisation easily helps keep things separate while quickly being able to switch.

  ### 9. Reliable Endpoint Management That Saves Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura M. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

The simplicity. Action1 is easy to deploy, easy to manage, and doesn't require a lot of ongoing maintenance. Patch management, reporting, remote access, and software deployment are all available from a single cloud-based console, making day-to-day administration much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Like any platform, there are always features I'd like to see expanded. More advanced reporting options and additional automation flexibility would be welcome as our environment continues to grow, but none of those have been significant enough to affect our overall experience.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Action1, patch management and endpoint maintenance required more manual oversight and took valuable time away from other IT responsibilities. Action1 gibes us a single platform to manage updates, monitor endpoint health, and deploy software. that has simplifies our daily workflow, reduced administrative overhead, and helped ensure our systems stay secure and compliant with much less effort.

  ### 10. Action1 Delivers Incredible Value: Free Endpoints, Affordable Scaling, and Phenomenal Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan H. | Owner / Operator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Action1?**

I’m fairly new to using it; however, I’m absolutely blown away by how many no cost endpoints you can have. Also, the cost once you exceed those limits is very affordable. My one meeting with the representative from Action1 was amazing! They were so helpful and genuinely caring. They help you grow, so you can grow with them. The custom reporting and scripts are phenomenal, and they make it easy to add anything extra that isn’t already included in the plethora of options in place. Without a doubt, I’ll be a client for a very long time, and I trust the product completely for use with my clients. A+

**What do you dislike about Action1?**

Honestly, I haven’t found any downsides so far. It’s very easy to use and set up, and I’m super impressed with how customizable and powerful it is.

**What problems is Action1 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complete software stack vulnerability patching for Windows and Linux, not just OS updates. It also provides easy, unattended access so I can assist clients remotely when needed. Asset management and reporting are solid, with customizable email alerts. Silent software removal and installation make management straightforward without interrupting end users. Plus, there’s much more I haven’t had a chance to explore yet.
