We have trimmed a lot of time out of our AP data entry as it relates to invoice entry thanks to AI. The area which needs improvement with Sift is how much it asks of you. Whether it’s the fraud platform acting like a "black box" that’s hard to second-guess, or the forensics kit’s steep learning curve, it isn't exactly "plug and play." One issue is that it doesn’t connect with POS systems like Square or Shopify unless you purchase additional software, which defeats the purpose—especially when we’re already paying a high price for multiple systems. At the moment, we export our sales from Shopify and Square, then export and import our inventory from NetSuite back into Shopify and Square. Overall, that workflow is tedious and time-consuming.

The custom reporting options are great, but I wish there were a more user-friendly way to build, organize, and manage those reports. SuiteAnswers can be helpful, but if you don’t already have prior knowledge of how something works in NetSuite, it can be difficult to navigate and learn. One of our company files is very large because we imported 4+ years of detailed data from QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. As a result, I’m unable to open that company file from my mobile device, which prevents me from using features like importing receipts by taking a picture of them or accessing the file on the go.

We previously used QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, which had to be installed on a remote desktop so all of our staff could access it at the same time.

With QuickBooks Online, staff can work not only from home but also on their personal devices, without needing remote desktop access or any special installation. On top of that, the more modern features, like integrations with several services we already use, have improved our workflow and saved us a lot of time, which has been a nice treat. Honestly, there isn’t much to dislike, but the process of migrating from our old system was complex, especially consolidating customers from multiple databases. Integrating new acquisitions and handling multi-currency, multi-tenant setups required extra effort and some creative workarounds, but Acumatica’s flexibility helped us address these challenges. Scalability and flexibility are the biggest strengths for us. Because of features like attributes, we’ve been able to design the underlying data structure so it can live in both big and small buckets, depending on what we need. Fraud reduction is the obvious one, but the bigger win is what comes with it. Our team has gotten back hours that used to go toward manually reviewing orders and dealing with chargebacks. This leads to a lot of data being generated. To manage and reconcile this data, we are using Kosh.
