What I like best about Fingerprint is how reliably it identifies users across sessions without adding friction to the user experience, while still giving us the flexibility and transparency we need to integrate it cleanly into our architecture.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

One area for improvement would be continuing to enhance the accuracy and consistency of Smart Signals, especially in edge cases like shared devices, VPN usage, or aggressive privacy settings - making those signals even more precise and predictable would increase confidence for high-stakes fraud and risk decisions.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint solves the problem of reliably identifying users across sessions and environments, even when traditional identifiers fall short. That allows us to gather consistent behavioral and device-level signals, reduce blind spots in our risk flows, and ultimately improve our fraud metrics, decision accuracy, and overall signal quality without adding friction to the user experience.

 ### 3. Reliable fraud prevention with minimal implementation effort

Fingerprint stands out for its accuracy in identifying returning devices and suspicious activity without adding friction to the user experience. The integration process was straightforward, and the documentation made it easy to get up and running quickly. We also appreciated the quality of the signals provided, which helped us make better decisions around risk and abuse prevention.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

The pricing structure can become expensive as usage scales, and the dashboard could benefit from more advanced filtering and investigation tools for deeper analysis.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint helps us reduce fraudulent activity and better understand user behavior across sessions. This has improved the reliability of our data and reduced the time spent manually reviewing suspicious cases, allowing the team to focus on higher-value tasks.

 ### 4. Effortless Setup, Great Accuracy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I really like how straightforward the integration process with Fingerprint is. Getting started required only a few lines of code, and we were able to collect insights within minutes. The dashboard is clean and intuitive, making it easy to analyze historical data and investigate user activity over periods. The device identification accuracy is particularly impressive as it reliably recognizes returning users even when cookies are cleared or when users browse in incognito mode. This feature is valuable for fraud detection.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

The main drawback is the cost, which can become significant as user skills. There are occasional false positives that require additional review and evaluations. These issues are not frequent but can add some operational overhead.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint for bot traffic analytics. The straightforward integration required only a few lines of code. It quickly collects insights and has a clean dashboard for easy analysis. Its accurate device identification is valuable for fraud detection, even recognizing users in incognito mode.

 ### 5. Fingerprint: Effortless Security Enhancement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie H. | Self Employed, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I use Fingerprint to prevent abuse on my website. It helps me with features like AI replies and contact forms to avoid getting spammed. I love Fingerprint as it is the most accurate fingerprint system I've ever seen and I'm impressed by its reliability compared to my self-created version. It allows me to effectively provide awesome features to clients while protecting myself, and the setup was as simple as plugging in a script into my website, which was just one NPM package away and a few imports. I would highly recommend Fingerprint.com to anyone who needs security.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I suppose more in-depth details in the response, like perhaps it could share cross-reference across different websites and provide more analytics regarding the user which could help prevent bots and scrapers.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint to prevent abuse on my website, avoiding spam on contact forms and protecting AI-powered features from financial harm. It lets me ratelimit without requiring authentication, providing reliable security and awesome client features.

 ### 6. Strong Developer Experience with Great Documentation and a Simple, Direct UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

The developer experience is strong, thanks to the thorough documentation and integrations, along with the rich metadata collected from devices.
The UI/UX are very good: simple and direct.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Price is a limiting factor.

For American companies, where the currency is more stable, it is OK. However, in other parts of the world, where local currencies have much lower purchasing power than the dollar, the product becomes prohibitive.

Additionally, in my opinion, the number of requests included for the price paid is expensive.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint is quite a powerful tool. In our case, we don’t need everything: only the part that helps identify who may be sharing accounts or running bots for data scraping.

The fraud prevention features are great, but they don’t fit our business niche.

 ### 7. Perfect Anonymous User Identification with Fingerprint

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I find Fingerprint super useful for tracking people through anonymous modes, especially as they enter private browsers. It's incredibly easy to set up and call, which I really like. I appreciate how persistent and sticky the fingerprints are, and their paid plan outshines anything else we've tried. Having a plugin that's easy to manage and reliable is crucial to our revenue, as we need to ensure users don't bypass our paywall. I also enjoy how easy it is to set up, being just a single script and some calls.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I can only think of positives.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint helps us track users through anonymous modes and private browsers, ensuring they can't bypass our paywall. It's been critical to our revenue because it was easy to set up and reliable.

 ### 12. Accurate User Recognition with a Smooth Workflow-Friendly Dashboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suhaad H. | Customer Service Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

One of the most valuable aspects of Fingerprint is its accuracy in recognizing returning users. The platform integrates well with existing workflows, and the dashboard makes it easy to access relevant information. The documentation and developer resources are also well organized.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Pricing may be a consideration for smaller teams with limited usage requirements. Additionally, some advanced features have a learning curve and may require technical knowledge to take full advantage of them.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint helps us strengthen fraud detection and improve user identification. By having more confidence in recognizing legitimate users and identifying unusual activity patterns, our team can focus resources more effectively and provide a smoother experience for genuine users.

I like how Fingerprint is easy to integrate with, and their documentation and examples are really helpful. The documentation is clear and covers all the different ways to integrate, with examples and ways to test API calls. I find their bot detection functionality really great. Fingerprint is very accurate with their bot detection and can tell you what type of bot was detected, allowing for more precise filtering between web scrapers and malicious bots. Their customer service is also great and always willing to help.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

There is nothing to dislike about Fingerperint. Any issues faced they would assist with.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint helps me identify returning users and detect bot activity on sites, with impressive accuracy in distinguishing between web scrapers and malicious bots.

 ### 14. Reliable Anonymous Identification for a Seamless OTP Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrius D. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

To start, Fingerprint fulfills its intended purpose exceptionally well, operating with notable efficiency. The admin interface is straightforward and user-friendly, which enables me to quickly get an overview of my website visitors. This has made it much easier to identify where my visitors are coming from and how they are accessing my site.

Integrating Fingerprint into my app was also very simple, and overall, it did not introduce any noticeable friction to the app’s functionality.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

The jump from the free tier to a paid subscription feels a bit steep; I would prefer a pay-as-you-go model to better align with our scaling needs. Additionally, the UX of the Identification Events screen could be improved. Since searching by Visitor ID is a primary task, having to drill down into filters feels counterintuitive. It would be much more efficient if there were a prominent, direct search bar for Visitor IDs on the main dashboard.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While many users utilize VPNs and privacy tools to protect their data—which is beneficial for security—it creates challenges for platforms that rely on accurate anonymous identification. Fingerprint solves this by allowing us to identify returning users reliably. This has enabled us to provide seamless OTP (One-Time Password) access to our website, reducing friction and improving the overall user experience.

 ### 15. Accurate Data, Easy Integration, and Highly Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

Fingerprint is easy to use and understand. The platform is full of useful data and is very accurate. The support our company has received and continues to receive is at very high level and the guys at Fingerprint are very responsive.

In terms of development, it was very easy for our developers to integrate the product. In production, we never had any issues with performance or reliability. The pricing is a bit high, but the service is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

The high pricing and the hard times getting flexibility in case there is a big change in expected volume.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us track multiple accounts, bonus abusers, account takeovers, and similar issues.

 ### 16. Effective Bot Protection, Easy Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I like how Fingerprint is easy to use, and it has great integrations with existing platforms like Cloudflare. The auto-update feature is fantastic, as it updates itself to new versions without needing engineering assistance or manual deploys. I also find the simple dashboard very helpful for tracking traffic and information, making the initial setup pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Similar integrations with other platforms like Fastly are not automated enough compared to Cloudflare and require a higher plan which for that integration alone doesn't justify the price increase.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint blocks bots from using page features and uniquely identifies clients. It's easy to use with great integrations like Cloudflare, auto-updates without needing engineering help, and has a simple dashboard for tracking traffic and info.

 ### 17. Game-Changer for Fraud Prevention with Impressive Accuracy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I use Fingerprint primarily for real-time fraud detection and user authentication on my SaaS platform, ensuring secure logins and preventing account takeovers. I appreciate its ability to solve persistent, cookie-less device identification, enabling accurate detection of multi-accounting fraud, sophisticated bots, account takeovers, promo abuse, and chargeback prevention, even across VPNs, browser resets, and incognito modes. What I like most about Fingerprint is its exceptional cross-platform accuracy and rock-solid signal resilience, which deliver consistent device IDs that catch sophisticated fraud attempts reliably, even through aggressive privacy tools, OS updates, or full device changes. I also love how seamlessly I can integrate Fingerprint with tools like AWS WAF, Plaid, and Segment for enhanced bot mitigation, secure financial onboarding, and enriched user analytics. The initial setup was extremely straightforward with excellent documentation and pre-built examples, allowing us to start collecting reliable device IDs within 15 minutes. Fingerprint offered superior accuracy, more stable signals across privacy changes, and better spoofing resistance than SEON's device intelligence module, significantly reducing false negatives in our fraud detection workflows. I'd give Fingerprint a strong 9.5 out of 10 for recommendation due to its unmatched accuracy, spoofing resistance, and seamless integration.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Fingerprint could improve with more granular pricing tiers for mid-volume users and slightly faster mobile SDK signal stabilization in highly restricted iOS environments post-iOS 18 privacy updates.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint for real-time fraud detection and user authentication, solving cookie-less device identification for multi-accounting fraud and sophisticated bots, even across privacy tools like VPNs or incognito modes.

 ### 18. Easy Integration and Accurate Cross-Device Identification with FingerprintJS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle H. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I like FingerprintJS because it’s easy to integrate, highly accurate, and works well for fraud prevention and user identification across devices and browsers. I also appreciate the strong documentation, reliable API performance, and the ability to identify returning users even when cookies are blocked or cleared.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Pricing at scale and some features can be complex to fine tune.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of reliably identifying devices and returning users when cookies are unavailable, blocked, or easily reset.

 ### 19. Exceptional Fraud Prevention with Minor Mobile Setbacks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric Dewyane B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I use Fingerprint to securely identify and track users and devices across sessions and platforms without relying on cookies, which is super useful for fraud prevention, bot detection, and account security in web apps. I like its insanely high accuracy and device signal stability, as it identifies users reliably even after clearing cookies, using VPNs, or switching browsers, with almost no false positives in tough fraud scenarios. High accuracy and device signal stability make Fingerprint incredibly valuable by enabling near-perfect detection of returning fraudsters, multi-account abusers, and advanced bots even across incognito modes, VPNs, browser changes, or device resets, drastically reducing chargebacks, fake signups, and abuse while keeping legitimate users friction-free. The initial setup was very easy, just a few lines of client-side JS code plus a quick backend API key configuration, with clear docs, and it was working in under 30 minutes. I also integrated Fingerprint with tools like Cloudflare for bot management, Stripe/Riskified for payment fraud prevention, and custom backend rules engines to layer device intelligence with behavioral and velocity checks.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

The main thing that could be improved with Fingerprint is its occasionally higher-than-desired pricing for high-volume use cases and the fact that mobile SDK accuracy sometimes lags slightly behind web in very locked-down or emulated environments.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint to identify users securely across sessions, preventing fraud, bot attacks, and session hijacking with high accuracy and device stability, even when cookies are cleared or VPNs used.

 ### 20. Great for Bot Detection, but API Limits are Frustrating

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I like Fingerprint for its ease of use and the custom portal it offers to track visitors. I also appreciate the ability to set bot detection parameters directly from within the portal. These features allow us to customize the experience for visitors, set up security protocols if a bot is detected, and even ban certain visitors if we find them to be malicious. The initial setup was pretty straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

What doesn't work well is the API call limitations. In our development environments, we may trigger many Fingerprint calls. However, calls are blocked by Fingerprint after reaching a certain amount. This makes testing difficult.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint helps us detect bots trying to scrub our website, customize visitor experiences, and implement security protocols efficiently.

 ### 21. Highly Reliable for Fraud Detection, Easy Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristian G. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

What I like most about Fingerprint is how consistent the activity is compared to traditional methods like cookies. It's real and reliable, providing identification without adding friction for users. The initial setup was super easy; the documentation is clean and integration doesn't take much effort. I find it to be really reliable and it does a great job at solving real-world issues like fraud protection and user identification.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Well, one downside is that accuracy can drop in very privacy-heavy environments with aggressive anti-tracking. In those cases, identification isn't always as stable. But, like, it could still work. Also, interpretive edge cases can take a bit of tuning depending on your use case.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint detects suspicious activity, preventing fake and duplicate accounts, adding an extra security layer. It addresses issues like cookies bypassing and creates a reliable identity without user friction, improving fraud protection, and enhancing general security.

 ### 22. Accurate, Reliable Visitor Identification With Smooth Integration and Helpful Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sreekanth S. | Senior DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

The accuracy and reliability of the visitor identification helps us filter out bad actors much more easily. It was simple and straightforward to integrate into our codebase, and their team’s support also helped us reduce latency.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

There isn’t much else to add, but the verification through the dashboard felt a bit slow for real-time identity verification, especially since they offer other verification methods.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us filter out bad actors and repeat offenders from our application.

 ### 23. Effortless Integration and Reliable Fraud Detection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nitin G. | Software Development Engineer - II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I think the best quality of Fingerprint is its ability to differentiate genuine traffic by recognizing unique IPs, which helps me ensure that real people are visiting my personal portfolio website. I love how super easy it was to integrate Fingerprint with my projects. I just had to paste the provided prompt, and it seamlessly integrated with my existing tools. The web interface is super smooth and seamless, making it very easy to get started, from creating an account to setting it up with my project. The insights on where traffic is coming from are very useful to me.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

One thing I noticed is that the prompt I copied only adds the use event state. It doesn't integrate automatically with my app. It tells the LLMs or VC recording units to create a new route and add Fingerprint on that particular route, but that's not ideal. It should ask if I want to integrate it with the full app or a particular route or page. Also, Fingerprint currently doesn't work with ad blockers. If they could figure out a way to determine if someone is using ad blockers, that would be really helpful.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint for bot detection, ensuring only genuine traffic hits my portfolio. It helps analyze visitor data, showing traffic source and IP location, allowing me to adjust pricing based on regional interest.

 ### 24. Seamless Device Identification Boosts Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu K. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I like how consistently and accurately Fingerprint identifies devices, even in environments where traditional signals are unreliable. The integration has been smooth, the documentation is clear, and the SDK feels well-designed and unobtrusive. It does its job quietly in the background and gives me a lot more confidence in the project's security posture. The initial setup was straightforward for me, with clear SDK and docs, allowing me to get basic device identification working quickly with just a few code changes and configuration tweaks.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I would love clearer, more practical tooling around debugging and monitoring. When something does not look right, it is still a bit hard to see exactly why a device was classified a certain way or trace specific events. More straightforward dashboards, logs, and configuration tips for common setups would make day-to-day use a lot smoother.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint to generate device-specific IDs to enhance security, prevent fraud, and debug effectively. It provides privacy-conscious device recognition, making impersonation hard and device management easy.

 ### 25. Unmatched Accuracy and Security for User Identification

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saran L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I highly value Fingerprint for its industry-leading accuracy in device identification, with a 99.5% identification rate that remains reliable even when users utilize VPNs or private browsing. This level of precision is invaluable as it allows us to instantly recognize returning devices with high confidence, reducing the need for intrusive security checks and ensuring a seamless experience for our trusted users. The setup was incredibly straightforward; we were able to get the JavaScript agent running and collecting visitor IDs within minutes of grabbing our API key. Additionally, I would give Fingerprint 9 out of 10 for its unmatched accuracy and ease of implementation, which is beneficial for any developer looking to secure their platform.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

While the product is excellent, pricing can be a bit steep for smaller startups, and I'd love to see more out-of-the-box integrations with third-party CRM platforms to speed up our workflow.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Fingerprint to accurately identify returning users and prevent fraud like account takeovers and promo abuse, even with VPNs. It eliminates inaccurate tracking and reduces false positives, ensuring a seamless experience for legitimate users while instantly recognizing returning devices.

 ### 26. Templates Made It Easy to Get Started

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hrag B. | Marketing Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I liked that it has templates, I was super noob with the tool, and when I saw templates, it was my first act to use it

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I would like to see an easier explanation, as it has a lot of functions; sometimes it's overwhelming

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To put it simply, everything about fraud, like fraud detection, loan fraud, survey fraud and alot more

 ### 27. Good fraud prevention, easy integration, lots of data points

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudiu S. | Senior developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

The most valuable part is the level of detail you get. The data Fingerprint provides makes it much easier to investigate incidents, spot repeat offenders, and explain why something looks risky. It saves a lot of time compared to piecing together signals from multiple tools.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

As with many solutions in this category, costs can add up as usage scales. That said, with careful implementation and tuning (e.g., event volume), we’ve been able to keep spend predictable and manageable.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves a big trust & safety problem for us: tying together abuse patterns that span multiple accounts and sessions. This has been especially useful for multi-accounting, fraud, spam, and bot and it’s made investigations faster and more consistent, reducing time spent by support and our moderation team. It is a good addon to our internal fraud detection solutions.

 ### 28. Outstanding Fraud Detection with Minimal Footprint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akil V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I appreciate how Fingerprint helps with device identification and fraud detection, allowing us to block bots, monitor suspicious activity like browser tampering and VPN usage, and gain visibility into traffic patterns. It's incredible for incognito detection and bot activity and is a truly amazing piece of software with a very low footprint. It prevents multiple sign-ups by the same user, helping us protect our proprietary database by detecting users with different emails. The initial setup was very easy and smooth.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I find the too frequent upgrades a bit of a hassle, as we have to allocate developer's bandwidth for these. It would be better if the upgrades were once a quarter.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint helps us with device identification and fraud detection, blocking bots, monitoring suspicious activities like VPN usage, and providing insights into traffic patterns. It prevents multiple sign-ups by the same user and gives us geographical distribution insights, securing our proprietary database.

 ### 29. Easy to set up, the visitor IDs are scalable and reliable over time, no hassle

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Conan M. | CEO/Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

Great at getting a visitor ID for a customer which we use for auth, love how the accuracy stays high - even a week or more after the user has initially visited, we use it every day and never had a problem. Was super simple to set up (just another SDK, no pain).

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Its a bit slow, especially their API for pro fingerprinting, 600ms may sound fast but it can be quite slow when running on every user login/secure interaction.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Securing our auth portals and forensic suites against attacks such as cookie stealing - we tie JWTs to an individual browser and run FP on every "secure" interaction, if no match, then 403.

 ### 30. Effortless Integration with Precise Multi-Account Detection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nexikas H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

We really appreciate how easy it was for our developer team to integrate Fingerprint into our existing codebase. It took only 2-3 hours to get it running, which was significant because we have a complex tech stack. The accuracy of Fingerprint is amazing and that's important for us, especially for detecting multiple accounts with a low chance of error or mislabeling. It helps us save a lot of money by blocking repeated bad actors like carders and disallowing them on our website. Fingerprint Pro’s high accuracy was a big step up from the free version, allowing us to prevent abuse of our rewards and promotions system effectively.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Fingerprint Identify is a great product in itself. The only thing they can really improve on is accuracy (which I mentioned is pretty high already). Just to prevent mislabeling our users that do not have multiple accounts as we don't want legitimate users to be blocked from promotions. But this is very rare as Fingerprint is pretty accurate but there is always room for improvement and making it 100% reliable.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Fingerprint to detect multiple accounts and prevent abuse of our promotions, saving us money. It helps us track and identify bad actors like carders, offering high accuracy and low error rates, and it was easy to integrate with our existing setup.

 ### 31. Fingerprint: Reliable Multi-Signal User Identification

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** _ T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I mainly like that Fingerprint doesn't really rely on just one thing; it combines different browser and device signals to create a unique identifier. It's reliable and makes me feel safer because even if users switch networks or disable cookies, I can still recognize the patterns and protect my platform, like a chat app I'm building. I appreciate how it gathers all these little things like browser version, fonts, OS, and time zone, which by themselves don't do much, but when combined, they create a unique identifier.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I don't really have anything bad to point out for me. Most of the times I use traditional cookies but for bigger projects it's needed. The initial setup wasn't really that hard, but it could've been easier.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint to identify users without cookies, helping when they're blocked or in incognito. It combines browser and device signals for a unique identifier, ensuring reliability and security even if users switch networks or disable cookies.

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I really appreciate how easy the setup is with Fingerprint. It's truly a once and done situation, unlike other platforms. I also like that there's an open-source version available, which helps us build trust by being auditable before using the commercial version. The transition from FingerprintJS to the commercial version was seamless due to its outstanding performance. It was super simple to implement, just had to copy the script tag into our frontend, and it was done. I would absolutely recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Minor issue is during Angular e2e Playwright testing, it sometimes fails due to the advanced checks Fingerprint does that modifies DOM. We have accounted for this in our latest version by disabling Fingerprint in e2e.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint to prevent bot logins, stop account sharing, and distinguish users on Luminary. It protects real accounts on arcAI, ensuring single user access.

 ### 43. Solid Protection and Simple Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Normando Ali Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

We use Fingerprint to uniquely identify our clients' devices on our Fintech Wallet platform in Mexico. I like that it effectively identifies devices, as other libraries tend to get confused or recognize minor changes as new devices even when they are not. We love that the initial setup of Fingerprint was very easy, and we appreciate being notified when we need to update the tool, which allows us to keep track of our versions.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I believe that on the Web it could still improve more to accurately identify the client's device. Sometimes when the user changes web browsers frequently, it tends to get confused, or when the browser is updated.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint allows us to uniquely identify our clients' devices, solving the problem of account takeover and effectively protecting them. It is effective in device identification, avoiding the confusion that other libraries present.

 ### 44. Exceptional Device Identification: Reliable, Scalable, and Low-Latency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

We have been leveraging Fingerprint for over 1,500 days as part of our core fraud prevention and identity intelligence stack, and the results have been consistently exceptional. The platform delivers high-accuracy device identification with strong stability and low latency, even under significant traffic volumes.

From an enterprise perspective, the API reliability, seamless integration capabilities, and comprehensive data signals have enabled us to strengthen risk scoring, prevent abuse, and enhance account protection without negatively impacting user experience. Fingerprint has become a strategic component of our security architecture, providing measurable value in fraud reduction, operational efficiency, and long-term risk mitigation. We consider it a trusted, long-term technology partner.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Overall, our experience has been very strong. If there is one area for improvement, it would be greater transparency and deeper configurability around certain advanced signals and scoring logic. For enterprise environments, having more granular control over thresholds, explainability for risk decisions, and expanded native reporting capabilities would further enhance operational visibility.

Additionally, more out-of-the-box integrations with enterprise SIEM and analytics platforms could reduce implementation effort for complex environments. That said, these are optimization opportunities rather than major concerns, and the platform continues to evolve in the right direction.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fingerprint is solving the challenge of reliably identifying devices and detecting fraud in environments where traditional identifiers (cookies, IPs, user accounts) are no longer sufficient or easily manipulated. It enables us to distinguish between legitimate users and bad actors with high confidence, even in cases involving VPN usage, incognito browsing, cookie clearing, or multi-account abuse.

From a business perspective, this directly benefits us by reducing fraud exposure, preventing account takeovers, limiting bonus and promotion abuse, and strengthening overall platform integrity. It has improved the precision of our risk scoring models while minimizing false positives, which protects both revenue and user experience.

Operationally, the stable API performance and high identification accuracy allow us to automate decisioning, reduce manual reviews, and scale securely without adding proportional headcount. In short, Fingerprint enhances our security posture while driving measurable cost efficiency and risk mitigation.

 ### 45. Highly Reliable API with Effective Spam Score

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** José C. | Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I really appreciate Fingerprint's solid API responses, which integrate well with our lead ingestion system. The spam score is great; I like how it uses the historic site traffic quality to classify leads, and we can use it to measure quality across different digital traffic sources. Setting up Fingerprint was super easy with just one script, although our non-standard implementation took an extra hour. Overall, these aspects of Fingerprint make it a valuable tool for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I've gotten a couple of false positives, where real users were flagged as 'potential' bots. It would be great to have IP blacklists because I can imagine bad servers are targeting many sites.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint to spot potential spammy leads and understand user engagement. It provides a spam score based on site traffic quality, which is crucial for assessing digital traffic sources. The API lets us integrate with our lead ingestion system and CDP.

 ### 46. Unmatched Accuracy and Seamless Device Recognition

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** REDA A. | Lead Developer, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

Without doubt, Fingerprint is one of the most accurate identification technologies out there today. It works quietly in the background and does its job extremely well. Instead of relying on cookies or logins, it understands devices and browsers in a very precise way, even when users try to hide or reset their data

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

The main downside is pricing. For many early-stage startups, especially in Africa, it’s simply not startup-friendly. Limited budgets and lower revenue make it hard to afford, even if the technology itself is excellent.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we use Fingerprint mainly for fraud detection. It helps us identify suspicious users and devices, prevent account abuse, and reduce fraudulent transactions before they cause damage.

Fingerprint also plays a key role in e-commerce fraud protection, allowing us to spot repeated abuse, fake accounts, and risky payment behavior even when users try to hide or reset their identity.

 ### 47. Effortless Integration with a Generous Free Plan

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vít F. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I like how easy it is to integrate Fingerprint and their generous free plan. The free plan includes 1000 API calls per month, which is more than enough for me, and it offers most of the features that paid plans would. The ease of integration is straightforward: they provide a URL for a specific script that you simply put into your JS file, allowing you to directly extract data like visitor ID and utilize it as needed. The initial setup of Fingerprint was very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

I mean they could integrate automatic DNS record making for example Cloudflare (because you want to make 'proxy' for their script so that browsers such as Brave don't block it)

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint for data collection on site users. It helps verify users aren't bots or using VPNs, tied to verification tokens. The generous free plan and easy integration make it valuable.

 ### 48. Fingerprint Solved My Ad Fraud Issues Instantly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Auman L. | account manager, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

Fingerprinting provides a very smart way to detect fraud because if you know more than 20 parameters about a visitor, you can certainly determine whether that visitor intends to commit fraud or not. I use fingerprinting on my website to prevent fake clicks on my Adsterra ads. I was receiving fake clicks on the ads, which caused a problem with Adsterra, but now, with the addition of fingerprinting, I have blocked all VPN, proxy, and virtual machine traffic, and this has completely solved my problem.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

Everything was fine, but using their API was a bit difficult, and it took me a lot of time to learn how to use it. It would have been good if they had added videos explaining how to use the API.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There were over 2,000 fake ad clicks daily, which was creating a lot of problems for advertisers, but with the addition of Fingerprint, the clicks have decreased significantly, which is very good.

 ### 49. Excellent Accuracy, Easy Integration, and Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex O. | Sr Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I've been using Fingerprint since it was just an open source JavaScript library. The device identification accuracy is solid, and the API is straightforward to integrate. The documentation is clear and developer-focused, which made implementation easier than expected. What really stands out is their customer support. We had an incident that raised a lot of questions about resilience, fallback strategies, and how to handle edge cases in our architecture. We sent them a pretty long list of technical questions, and their team responded with detailed, thoughtful answers. They engaged with our specific use case and even escalated some of our feedback to their Product team. That kind of responsiveness is rare.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

For highly critical financial flows, the 99.9% uptime SLA feels a bit short. I wish they offered 99.99% or some form of on-prem solution that would let us keep things running even during their outages. When your system depends on a third party for real-time fraud decisions, any downtime can block user interactions. We've built workarounds, but having a local fallback option would give us more confidence.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Fingerprint in a critical financial flow as an additional layer for detecting fraud. It helps us identify returning devices accurately, even when users clear cookies or switch networks, which reduces our exposure to repeat bad actors.

 ### 50. Effective Fraud Prevention with Some Hurdles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kuda Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Fingerprint?**

I like that Fingerprint helps us spot the same person trying to sign up multiple times from the same device or location, reducing fraud while keeping the experience smooth for real customers. I value the device identification feature because it lets us recognize when the same device comes back, helping us spot repeat users and keeping returning users moving quickly. The Smart Signals are also great, as they help us know when bad bots try to sign up and flag attempts where someone is trying to hide who they are, allowing us to add an extra check when needed. I appreciate the confidence score as well, which helps us decide when to trust a match versus when to be more cautious.

**What do you dislike about Fingerprint?**

1. It's not always perfect - a device can look new after browser updates, privacy setting or clearing data so some returning users may not be recognized. 2. Shared devices are tricky - families, schools or offices can make different people look like the same user, which can cause false flags. 3. More clarity in the dashboard - clearer explanations on why a device was flagged and simpler summaries would make reviews faster. 4. VPN/Proxy detection is not accurate sometimes - when users are logging from the same ISP in the same area, they can be flagged as using a Proxy which is wrong.

**What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Fingerprint to prevent fraud and duplicate sign-ups by detecting repeat device use and stopping bots, ensuring a smooth experience for real customers.
