It helps us keep things safe and make experiences better for our users. Also, it was quite easy to set up and connect with our other systems. Making changes to it has been simple too. FingerprintJS provides great device detection but also bot protection. Super easy to set up and you are good to go quickly the integration is seamless and very smooth. The support team is super active and ready to reply quickly to any request. **What do you dislike about Fingerprint?** There's much to dislike, but I would like to have bot detection as an add-on and not forced in the same product, one may not use it. From the moment I accessed the site, I was impressed by its sleek and intuitive interface. The process of generating a unique digital fingerprint was straightforward, and within moments, I had a comprehensive assessment of the user’s fraud risk level. **What do you dislike about Fingerprint?** We have observed for some time that in some cases the fingerprint is not generated, in that we get a null, but in which case it happens, how the user is bypassing the security, we are also trying to understand this and for this we will also talk to the customer support of the fingerprint. **What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Digital fingerprinting creates a unique identifier for each user based on their device, browser, and online behavior. This identifier can be used to assess the risk level of each user, helping to detect and prevent fraudulent activities before they occur. In addition to this, you can validate the fingerprint using an API call to prevent users from sending fake fingerprints. The fingerprint generated is much higher quality than the free libraries out there. We used to rely on some free libraries but we could never trust them. The paid Fingerprint.com Pro fingerprints are much more reliable. **What do you dislike about Fingerprint?** The biggest issue is that in some cases we're seeing some browsers have very unstable fingeprint, eg changing very frequently (changing every few days). We wish there was more documentation on this phenomenon, and there was documentation on how to recreate the phenomenon. There are also plugins out there that claim to prevent fingerprinting. We'd like Fingerprint.com to address these claims in their documentation, **What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us try to identify a user even as their browser user agent changes, even if they are clearing cookies, and even if they are using Incognito mode or VPN. ### 46. From their smart signals to just the raw data, there is plenty of insights to be had. **What do you dislike about Fingerprint?** Fingerprint does not do any "ip" scoring like some comepetitors, but this is not their strength. Would be great to have this included in the the payload though. **What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fingerprint helps us by stopping fraudulent accounts from being created. Using their visitorId, we're able to stop bot farms from generating too many accounts on our platform by forcing them to have real devices. Fingerprint also provides very robust VPN detection for us which allows to better identify where our users are from. Product team is also attentive / listens to customer feedback and acts on it. Fingerprint is at it's best when they go *deep* on particular problems. I love to hear about when they have researchers investigating an aspect/side effect of e.g. jailbroken or remote controlled phones. **What do you dislike about Fingerprint?** If it were cheaper, would be able to use it on even more surfaces / deploy more widely. When Fingerprint goes too broad and doesn't focus as much on depth/quality, e.g. first release of Smart Signals, they end up back in the pool of not-very-useful data bloat. Since the initial launch though, it seems Smart Signals has improved. **What problems is Fingerprint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Visitor identification, helps detect when fraudsters are returning back to the same site over and over again. ### 50.
