## TriNet Reviews
  ### 1. Decent HR Solution, Needs Better Time-off Integration

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erika S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like that the stuff I use in TriNet is easy to use and offers easy access. TriNet provides a quick way to review time cards, which is convenient. It allows my admin to get policy updates to us quickly, and it's a nice review of health and payment records. The initial setup was pretty easy, and within three months, we became consistent and proactive with it.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The time off does not reflect on a time card, and it makes it challenging for our supervisors to check and confirm that the time is accurate when approving. The process could definitely be looked at because when someone submits times off, it should reflect in their time card. But instead, we're having to pull up the time off calendar in the second screen next to the time card that was submitted, and then it just creates potential human error and unnecessary toggling back and forth.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet allows my admin to update policies efficiently. It's also useful for reviewing health and payment records, though it appears to have more features than what we pay for, which is distracting.

**Official Response from Ashley Dyslin:**

> Thanks for sharing how easy TriNet makes it to access the things you need, Erika. We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along to our team.

  ### 2. Strong HR & Benefits, but the experience feels incomplete

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

What I like best about TriNet is how well it simplifies HR and compliance for growing organizations. They combine strong benefits offerings with solid HR advisory support, which allows leadership teams to stay focused on the core business instead of navigating employment law, payroll, and risk management on their own. The access to competitive benefits, coupled with expertise in multi‑state compliance, is particularly valuable as an organization scales.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The Perks are a joke and have little to no value. One downside of TriNet is that the PEO model can feel inflexible as an organization grows or becomes more complex. Certain HR policies, benefit structures, or custom requirements are constrained by TriNet’s standardized frameworks, which can limit control. Additionally, cost transparency can be challenging—fees are not always easy to benchmark against à‑la‑carte HR solutions as headcount scales. Finally, the quality of support can vary depending on the assigned HR advisor, which can lead to inconsistent experiences.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet is primarily solving the complexity and risk of HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance for growing organizations, particularly those operating across multiple states. According to TriNet’s own materials, their core focus is helping companies stay compliant with employment laws, manage payroll tax filings, administer benefits, and reduce HR‑related risk through dedicated advisory support and centralized systems.

**Official Response from Ashley Dyslin:**

> We love simplifying HR and compliance for organizations that are growing, and offering access to competitive benefits. Thanks for choosing TriNet to help you navigate the complexities that come with managing a multi-state business. We appreciate your honest feedback and will share with our team.

  ### 3. Fast, User-Friendly, and Affordable—But Two-Step Verification Still Feels Clunky

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like being able to get estimated PTO for future dates. The app is user-friendly and feels complex enough for computer geeks, while still being simple enough for beginners. It’s also fast-paced when moving between different toggles and tasks, which makes it easy to get things done without feeling slowed down. It’s very affordable for the number of tools included within the app itself. Support is also quick and easy to access if needed; however, I haven’t run into many software bugs or issues.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I like being able to view my benefits, perks, and payroll all within one app. One thing that still feels inconvenient is having to go through two-step verification on a familiar device, even after I select “remember this device” and use Face ID to log in.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping everything aligned and easily accessible

  ### 4. Streamlined HR and Payroll in One Place

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

What I like best about TriNet is how much time it saves by keeping everything in one place. Payroll, benefits, and HR tasks are all streamlined, which makes managing things a lot easier. I also appreciate having access to better benefits options than we’d likely have on our own. It takes a lot of the stress out of compliance and HR questions, so we can focus more on our actual work instead of administrative tasks.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

One downside of TriNet is that the platform can feel a bit complex at times, especially when you’re trying to find specific information or complete certain tasks quickly. There can be a learning curve for new users. I’ve also noticed that response times for support can vary depending on the issue, which can be frustrating when you need immediate help. That said, once you get familiar with the system, it does become easier to navigate.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet helps solve the challenge of managing HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance all in separate places. Before using it, those tasks could be time-consuming and sometimes confusing, especially when trying to stay on top of regulations. Having everything centralized has made a big difference.

The biggest benefit for me is time and peace of mind. I don’t have to worry as much about missing deadlines, handling paperwork incorrectly, or navigating complex HR issues on my own. It allows me to focus more on my actual work instead of administrative tasks, which makes me more efficient overall.

  ### 5. Complex Interface, Needs Improvement on Usability

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like being able to calculate when my team and I have accrued time off as it helps me keep everyone on track. I use the timesheets the majority of the time, and for me, it's easy to use. The calendar feature is helpful because it assists me in managing the timesheet.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Initially, TriNet wasn't user friendly, it's a little complicated trying to figure out where things go. I don't like that the approved sick time, vacation time and for one of my staff the holidays aren't prepopulated in the timesheet when it's time for approval. I don't like that you have to leave the TriNet site to locate certain features. It was difficult to understand how to use the different pages and where to locate the pages I needed to complete. My team is unable to input their own time on their timesheet, so I have to do each one and make sure their hours are correct. I'd like to be able to easily find what I'm looking for. For instance, when I'm trying to keep track of my team's time as well as mine, I have to go to separate pages. I'd like to be able to see the calendar while I'm doing the timesheets so I can make sure I'm putting staff's time in correctly. I would like to see approved sick time and vacation time, holidays already prepopulated in the time sheets.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can track leave for myself and my team with TriNet. The calendar helps me identify who is taking time off for planning. I can review benefits, and the timesheets make managing work hours easier, though some features like performance reviews have bugs.

  ### 6. Valuable Resource with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaliyah F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I found TriNet to be a good resource, especially with the AI system making it really easy to coordinate. The AI system told me exactly what I wanted to know, even though it asked me to rephrase a few times. Ultimately, it was really good as I got the information I needed. I liked having instant access to information, which I think is important. It was interesting because when I had questions about my PTO or accruals, the system provided straightforward answers, something I feel a person wouldn’t have been able to do as efficiently. I found the initial setup pretty simple and manageable since I'm pretty adequate with technology. I'd recommend TriNet for sure.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I was a little annoyed when I contacted TriNet about sick time and they immediately passed my question on to my supervisor. That can definitely be improved.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet's AI system made it really easy to coordinate and understand time off policies. It told me exactly what I wanted to know, improving clarity which was something I struggled with before.

**Official Response from kenyatta maxwell:**

> Thank you for taking the time to review TriNet. We’ll share your feedback internally. In the meantime, if you have any open issues we can help to resolve, please email us at social media at TriNet dot com.

  ### 7. Smooth PTO Tracking, but Reporting Falls Short for Accounting and Payroll

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Benefit sign up process worked well. Tracking PTO worked well. I don't have anything else to say.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Reporting for accounting was not providing the information I needed. For regular payroll review, there was also not an easy to use report so I could compare payrolls from one period to the next and drill down to see the changes. We had to run manual reports to get the information we needed and it still wasn't enough. The whole reporting functionality needs more for the accounting side.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is nothing specific to TriNet that it is solving a problem that wasn't already solved by ADP before we switched. It was just supposed to be cheaper than ADP.

  ### 8. Streamlines Performance but Hindered by Setup Challenges

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheridan L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like the time off section in TriNet. It's pretty intuitive and helpful to be able to see your projected time off and whatnot.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The time and attendance section is so difficult to navigate and takes so long to input everything. The system just needs to be completely reworked because every time you put in your time, for each day, it takes so long for it to buffer and load that you can't go add the next day. And it's just a completely wonky system. I don't think the initial setup was easy. I wasn't the primary person doing it, but I know my boss didn't find it an easy process.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet consolidates training and performance reviews into one portal, making it easier for everyone to access and update information. It facilitates mandatory training, like harassment training, without needing outside vendors.

  ### 9. Centralized Platform, Needs Streamlined Sign-In

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adnan A.

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I really like that everything is localized in one place with TriNet. The user interface works well, and I'm able to see everything I need to see. The initial setup of TriNet was easy.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I don't like the sign-in process only because it requires the code. An educational component and possibly a wellness component would be beneficial. For example, the opportunity to learn about the different resources, tools, and features, and how they benefit the user. Additionally, having wellness embedded within the user experience would be beneficial since we're on TriNet trying to request time off or looking up our benefits settings, etc.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TriNet to monitor paychecks, PTO, benefits, and tax documents. It centralizes everything in one place, and the interface works well so I can see everything I need.

  ### 10. Comprehensive HR Management with Customization Challenges

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like that TriNet is comprehensive and allows one platform to manage multiple components of HR. I enjoy how simple it is to update employee records. Inputting employee leave, pay changes, and promotions is simple. I also like that the TriNet ATS can move an employee to hire automatically.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

It's not very customizable for my company's specific needs. It would be great if the ATS system could integrate with calendars, messaging systems, and be more customizable. I would like if TriNet ATS allowed you to change the communication 'to' field. It currently has a long spam-like email communication sends from. It's also annoying that logging in to the TriNet mobile app makes you then have to re-authenticate on desktop and vice-versa.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet helps track details for 50+ employees, adjusts pay, and makes updating records simple. It's comprehensive for managing HR components, and the ATS system can automatically move an employee to hire.

  ### 11. Convenient All-in-One HR Solution, But Pricey

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alison M. | Benefits Manager, Medical Devices, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I think just the all-in-one feature of TriNet is uber convenient. Having them do all the things to make sure the tax entities are set up correctly and handling all the tax stuff is very helpful. They also manage all the audits and the payroll throughout the year, which is helpful to have in one place. It’s very helpful because we have people all over the United States, and TriNet handles new hires and tax filings for different states, so we don’t have to worry about that.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I feel that sometimes our hands are tied behind our back. We don't have a say, it's either TriNet's way or, you know, that's the only way to do things. Even if it doesn't necessarily work well for our company. And it's just expensive.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet helped us scale, launching our HR department when headcounts were low. It handles hiring, payroll, benefits, tax setup across states, and audits. It's uber convenient to have all these in one place, especially with team members across the U.S.

**Official Response from kenyatta maxwell:**

> Hi Alison, thank you for your feedback. We will share your thoughts internally. We appreciate the opportunity to serve your HR, payroll and employee benefits needs.

  ### 12. Clean, Easy-to-Navigate Dashboard, but Time-Off Balances Can Be Confusing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

The UX of the dashboard is nice. Navigation isn't difficult and the pages are easy to read. I mainly use the page to look at my time off accrual and finding it is relatively easy.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Since I mainly use it for time off tracking, understanding the balance counter is a bit difficult. There are also sometimes a few labels that at first are hard to understand when trying to find out other information in the platform

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its just the system my organization has chosen to use for work benefits. Its nice to have it all in one place.

  ### 13. Dashboard Shines, Timesheet Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angel G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I really like the TriNet dashboard because it helps me see how much I got paid and how many sick and vacation hours I have. It's an easy visual on the most important things. The initial setup of TriNet was also easy peasy, which is great.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The timesheet logging in TriNet feels a bit clunky and could be improved. Specifically, I wish there was a way to input the same hours and lunches for multiple days at once instead of having to enter them day by day.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet makes managing retirement accounts and direct deposits easy. I use it for logging hours, calling in sick, and vacation management. The dashboard gives an easy visual of pay and leave balance, which I really like.

**Official Response from Ashley Dyslin:**

> We're happy our platform makes it easy to see all the information you need in one place, Angel. From retirement and time tracking to getting paid, we're here to streamline it all. We appreciate your feedback and will share with the team.

  ### 14. Ease of Use, Needs Timesheet Integration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucina P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like the ease of use on the platform and the app. I also like being able to see my paycheck breakdown in a graphic, which helps me with my financial management. Additionally, the initial setup of TriNet was easy from what I can remember.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I don't like the performance evaluation system. It wasn't explained to me well, and it doesn't feel intuitive when you're working on it. I also do not like that I have to go to a separate site to review and approve timesheets for my direct reports. I would prefer to do it in TriNet itself.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TriNet for tracking timesheets, managing time off requests, accessing benefits, and viewing paystubs. I like the ease of use and the paycheck breakdown graphic helps with financial management.

  ### 15. It's ok, could be a lot better

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

There is a centralized dashboard where I can easily go to benefits, paystubs, personal info etc. Electing benefits was fairly straight forward and not overly complicated. I also was able to easily view and complete W 4 forms and edit anything I needed to do.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

401k process. I have to register again to elect my options around this and it's not easy. I still have not been able to register/login and have to reach out to Trinet directly vs internal as I am on the PEO.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm sure for our org it solves for the HR process as TriNet owns all of it. For me personally it provides a space to view all my HR related items (benefits, paystubs, personal info etc)

  ### 16. Easy to Navigate, but Toggles Like “Time” Can Be Confusing

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charissa D. | Administrative Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

It is easy to navigate and easily displays important information.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The navigation bar can sometimes be confusing if you're not familiar with how to toggle. For example, clicking "Time" will open a new toggle that took me awhile to get used to,

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have any problems that TriNet solves because I am not an administrative individual within my company

  ### 17. Streamlines Onboarding with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I think TriNet's direct deposit and I-9 document submitting flows are two of the easiest to use. They are comparable to others I've used. It saves me time because I avoid going back and forth over email with an HR or people representative and can just upload documents myself on my computer.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The user experience feels a little clunky. A lot of pages inside of the TriNet dashboard have to open up a new tab and take you away from the dashboard. The flows are not super intuitive and easy to understand, and I've had more positive experiences using Bamboo and Rippling.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet helps keep everything in one place and eases the onboarding process. It makes document upload and benefit options easy, saving me time by reducing back-and-forth with HR.

  ### 18. Disjointed Modules, Outdated UI, and Inconsistent Support Hold It Back

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather M. | Head of People, Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

***Update: They released an AI chat for employees which can answer really basic questions, good.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

They could have released the same AI chat bot on the admin side!

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m not sure. I don’t feel connected to, or fully informed about, product updates to TriNet, so it’s hard for me to understand what’s changing.

**Official Response from Ashley Dyslin:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback, Heather. We're sorry to hear that your experience hasn't met expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will share with our team. We also recommend contacting your Customer Relationship Manager directly for questions about what's new, guidance navigating the platform, and more.

  ### 19. More Direct Access, But Limited Flexibility and Personal Touch

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Direct interaction or access to some items without having to go through management for every little thing.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Not being able to interact locally with company personnel for some things / exceptions to any policy can not be easily negotiated making one feel like a number rather than a person. Not everyone brings the same things to t he table, and so no, not everyone should receive the same benefits.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not sure on this because the insurance has just become ridiculous as also has become the concern for liability legalistics, but that's not just here. Once again it feels like it's militant instead of civilian, treated like a number instead of a person.

**Official Response from Ashley Dyslin:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience. We will share your feedback with our team.

  ### 20. Efficient Payroll with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jonathan l. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like that chat agents are readily available. Payroll updates are handled quickly. It's great to have near-immediate access to representatives, even outside of business hours, which saves employee time. The web chat is particularly helpful. Great insurance options (health, dental, vision).

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The link to the retirement portal is broken more than half the time, freezing us out from viewing our balances. Retirement contributions take days to reach the 401k after being deducted from payroll, and the fund options are limited. Plus, each employee is charged $6 a month in fees per 401k.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet handles payroll and benefits, freeing up employee time with near-immediate chat access. Payroll updates are quick, avoiding wasted work hours.

**Official Response from Ashley Dyslin:**

> Great customer services and support are always a priority, Jonathan! We're so glad your experience has been helpful and saved employees time. We also appreciate your feedback about your retirement experience, we will be sure to share this with our team. Thanks for your time.

  ### 21. Neatly Organized Project Codes, But Location Restrictions Are Frustrating

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica P. | Community Health Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

The project codes are listed and neatly organized.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I don’t like having to be in a specific location when clocking in and out. It is very frustrating as a community health leader and being out and not always in the office.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can’t speak too much on it. From my perspective as an employee, it has felt like more work, and I can’t really speak from the employer’s point of view.

  ### 22. Clean, Fast UI with Helpful Training—But Navigation Can Feel Unintuitive

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

There is a lot of useful training materials to help you work your way around the software. I think the UI looks clean and simple. The website is also very fast, not taking long amounts of time to navigate through different pages

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

While the UI is simple it is often unintuitive. I sometimes find it hard to navigate corecctly to the place that I want to be

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting and payroll as well as benefits distribution and employee onboarding

  ### 23. Reliable Payroll, but Support Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronnie B. | Inside Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like getting paid on time and having health coverage with TriNet. I appreciate the ease of use since it is easy to navigate their platform, just as easy as most other payroll software.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Their customer support is a bit slow. They don't really look into the issue you're trying to solve unless you call them directly. Their chat feature is not helpful. For me, the initial setup was not easy. I guess a company I worked for previously still had my outdated info loaded in their system, and it took a lot of back and forth to resolve the onboarding problems I had.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet solves getting paid on time and providing health coverage.

  ### 24. Effective Payroll Management, Needs HR Improvements

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I find TriNet to be a good partner when it comes to payroll processing and it has been helpful to employees when they have questions. Additionally, the large group benefit options with TriNet were a significant reason for switching from Gusto.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The timekeeping software is too simple and cumbersome to use, with no proper segregation by location. The LMS module is also cumbersome, with glitchy videos that require users to redo training. Additionally, the hiring module does not work.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet helps with payroll processing, employee onboarding, and overall HR management, providing a reliable partnership for payroll and supporting employees with their questions.

  ### 25. Simplifies Scheduling but Login Issues Persist

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like how easy it is to put my hours down on TriNet. The time and attendance page is the one I use the most, and it makes organizing and tracking my PTO and calendar simple. The initial setup was really easy; I just had to create my account.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Logging in, there's always issues with having to verify. That's always the most annoying part of having to log in.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TriNet for organizing and seeing my PTO, accessing my calendar and benefits, and marking down my hours.

  ### 26. Convenient Time Logging, but Glitches Cause Lockouts and Incorrect Hours

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William G. | Manufacturing Associate II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Pretty convenient time logging. I like that you can estimate PTO

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

There are some glitches every now and then when I get locked out of logging time, or when it registers the wrong amount of hours.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is just being used for payroll

  ### 27. Benefits Tab Is Handy, but Key Features Are Hard to Find

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I really like the Benefits tab. It keeps all of my company’s benefits conveniently organized in one place, so everything is easy to find in the same area.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Some features can be difficult to find as they can be hidden under different tabs or in different parts of websites. (For example, commuter benefits are located in the Benefits tabs, but you have to click on an unassuming drop down list to be able to find the commuter info.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet helps me solve any issues I have with locating my employee information and benefits. Helps me save time and stress about cataloging the paperwork and information on my own.

  ### 28. totally fine

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

the paycheck PDF is clear and detailed with information about pay and deductions

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

TriNet inbox and notifications. I really don't like all the messages and notifications I get from TriNet. My employer sends announcements through our own channels (slack, email). Besides tax forms being available, no notifications from TriNet are worth my time so it's just annoying

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's not solving any problems. It's very standard and up to par. it only benefits me as a place to go see my paycheck and paid time off requests and sign up for benefits once a year

  ### 29. Easy PTO Requests, but Frequent PTO Balance and Paycheck Mistakes

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon M. | Credit Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

pto requests are easy
the link to your retirement account is a nice feature
access to past pto and paychecks is easy to fine

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

There have been mistakes with PTO balances
our company has used Trinet for 15 months and I have had 4 paychecks that have had mistakes.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i was able to resolve the PTO issue for myself and several other employees by speaking directly with a representative on a zoom call

**Official Response from kenyatta maxwell:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, which helps us continue to improve our products and solutions. We’re glad to hear you’re finding key features easy to use and appreciate you being a valued TriNet customer.

  ### 30. HR Function Leader Review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darien S. | Human Resources Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Easy to use. The resources such as compliance and webinars made avalable.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The inflexibility of some systems functionality. For example, TriNet Perform does not allow the ability to customize the performance review templates.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Due to the size of our organization it makes since to utilize TriNet. It is helping our company because of our lack of people resources to carry out the various HR and payroll functions.

  ### 31. Helpful Compliance Tools, but Answers Can Be Vague and Require Follow-Ups

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like the compliance section, where can I reference different information based on the need I need to research. I also like how it can help me draft certain products such as a compliant offer letter.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Sometimes I feel that I receive vague or not very specific information from different departments when I ask questions. I then have to follow up with another email to keep asking additional questions.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet is our PEO for our company. We are still small and this helps us with lots of things such as payroll, HR and more.

**Official Response from Ashley Dyslin:**

> We love making it easy to access the information you need. We appreciate your feedback and will share with our team.

  ### 32. Labor-Intensive Setup; Limited Edit Flexibility

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carla L.

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like the interactive tool for exempt and non-exempt testing and the handbook tool. It helps us to decide whether somebody should be categorized as exempt or nonexempt.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The process to make changes to our pay file is very time-consuming and slow. We are not able to go in and make our own edits, and it can delay the process by one to two days, where the edit could only take ten seconds. The initial setup of TriNet was pretty intensive; it took ninety days before we felt some comfort running payroll. After eight months, we're still learning all the different resources on the system, so it is very labor and time intensive. TriNet is one of the most expensive databases, so recommending it would depend on their type of business and budget.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TriNet for payroll, managing leaves, creating handbooks, and compliance updates. It also helps employees access wage statements and aids in categorizing employees as exempt or nonexempt. However, changing pay files is slow, and setup was labor-intensive.

**Official Response from kenyatta maxwell:**

> Hi Carla, we have received your review, and appreciate your feedback. We will share this with our appropriate internal teams. In the meantime, if you have any open issues we can help resolve, please email us at social media at TriNet dot com.

  ### 33. User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura U. | Beverage Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

It has a simple, user friendly app interface

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

pretty frequent bugs- trouble uploading files to Trinet expenses. and often the last attached reciept will disapear

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The affordable one-stop-shop model is great fro small growing businesses

  ### 34. All-in-one, but confusing navigation and external links cause lost progress

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

it's nice to have everything in one place, but some things are in multiple places so it's confusing

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

it's hard to find some things, and additionally, it's tough since many links link to external webpages and you lose your progress and have to sign in again

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's solving having everything for HR in one place - no need to have multiple time and money services, etc

  ### 35. Great Paycheck Visibility, but Time-Off Requests Struggle with Weekend Shifts

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Good payment breakdowns for checks, I like that there is a calendar showing when pay is run and when to expect a check.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Requesting time off is weird, I work tuesday-saturday and it seems to not want to let me indicate that i am asking off for a saturday. when I include a weekend day in the request it just reverts to only requesting the weekdays off.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging clock in out and time off, seeing payroll. It keeps me informed on what's happening.

  ### 36. Easy Paycheck Viewing, but Time Card Entry Feels Redundant

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Pretty easy user interface for main actions like viewing paychecks etc. Time keeping could be better.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Time card tracking is redundant and not set up for easy, I would love if we could copy the previous day. I would basically the same hours, I shouldnt need to enter each line every time.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily find resources, but I would say its fairly generic.

  ### 37. Clear PTO Overview, but Scheduling and App Integration Need Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chauntel K. B. | Front Office Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I do like how the overall PTO/Vacation time appears in the admin portion

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

the scheduling feature and the fact that the scheduled shift isn't integrated to the app

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

  ### 38. Solid HR Tool with Room for Scheduling Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanzania B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I appreciate TriNet for its payroll and benefits management, and I like the money section since it stands out to me. I find it helpful that it assists me with time entries and editing time off. Additionally, the initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The scheduling could be improved. I need a copy and paste option for people who have the same monthly schedule. I would like to get paid sooner too.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet helps me manage payroll and benefits and makes it easy to put in and edit time off.

  ### 39. Easy Time-Off Requests and Pay Info, but Benefits Booking Feels Confusing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer B. | Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

easy to request time off; see pay information

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

benefits side of things is a bit confusing - wish it was easier to book services through there so it's all in one

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's helping with hr and benefits for my job

  ### 40. Benefit Info in One Place, but Payroll Changes Feel Restrictive and Complex

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nancy A. | Senior accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like how you can find your benefit information in one place

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I do not like that when processing payroll you cannot make changes the day of payroll. I also do not like how complicated the payroll system is

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

  ### 41. Good Account Support, But Tax Team and Fees Need Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

We had a great account manager and payroll manager. The Wing was a great support system.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Tax team support was bad. Increasing fees and "technology fees" drove us away.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small non-profit, it was our solution for all HR processes including payroll, benefits, hiring, etc. Ultimately we are leaving because of the increasing fees. There are good people and TriNet team members that truly want to support organizations, but it seems like they are not able to fully support because of frequent changes, and understaffed support teams. We experienced online cases being closed before they were resolved and ran into a variety of other issues. We trusted that all was taken care of (because that's what we were paying for!) nbut found it was critical for us to follow up on everything. TriNet is too expensive for needing as much management as we put into it.

**Official Response from kenyatta maxwell:**

> Hi! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We will share it with our appropriate internal teams.

  ### 42. Clear Paycheck & Vacation Dashboard, but Support Missed Healthcare Email Changes

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Seeing vacation availability, and payckeck info and dates easily on the dashboard.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The changes in health care notification emails weren't widely known to your customer service providers. I had to call 3 or 4 times to finally get an answer over week's time. And it didn't even pertain to me.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None.

  ### 43. Convenient All-in-One System with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like how everything is in one place on TriNet, which makes it easier for our workplace to handle tasks like logging leave and holidays, as well as managing payroll. It's also convenient for checking our 401k and logging other medical benefits. Overall, everything works okay.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Medical sign up is always hard, so many options, no suggestions or other helpful insights.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TriNet centralizes leave requests, payroll, and benefits management, allowing us to see our 401k and medical benefits all in one place.

  ### 44. All-In-One Solution with some Tracking Limitations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marjorie S. | Vice President, Programs, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like that TriNet offers a centralized platform where everything is all in one place. It also effectively tracks PTO, which is helpful for managing vacation requests and checking employees' requests.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I find tracking time for staff members with TriNet doesn't work as well for me.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use TriNet for vacation requests and payments. It solves checking employees' PTO requests, keeping it all in one place. I like the ease in tracking PTO.

**Official Response from Ashley Dyslin:**

> Thanks for sharing how TriNet makes managing and tracking PTO easier, Marjorie. We appreciate your time and will share your feedback with our team.

  ### 45. Trinet Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I like the knowledge center, the integrations, and most of the benefits packages.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Unreliable narrators at time, changes are made with no one informing us.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payroll & Benefits

  ### 46. Great Benefits Variety, but a Rough, Employee-Heavy Onboarding

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

So far the varierty of benefits offered to employess.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

The onboarding process was pretty rough and seemed to put more work in the hands of employees. I also got the impression that the TriNet reps were phoning in their presentation.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far I have not seen any major benefits to trinet other than flexibility of plans. I suppose the discounts are nice.

  ### 47. Buggy Admin Experience Makes Basic Tasks Hard to Find

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Variety of benefit offerings and helps smaller companies provide a better benefits package.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

Buggy, difficult to find what I need as an administrator. I had to go through the mobile app to reset my password as the webpage was throwing errors.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits offerings to attract better talent.

  ### 48. All-in-One Hub, but Could Be More User-Friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** darpan p. | Maintenance supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

All information in one site like a one stop shop.

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

I found less user friendly comparing to other system I used.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make website graphical user interface much easier, quick response and intuitive.

  ### 49. Handy Timecard Tool

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

I can clock in and out and keep my timecard handy for work

**What do you dislike about TriNet?**

the errors sometimes are not clear about why something may not be working

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it houses my insurance benefits, my time off, work information, and more

  ### 50. All-in-One HR Hub, Though PTO Time Occasionally Glitches

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about TriNet?**

Sometimes the time glitches on the PTO section so the correct PTO time available isn't always reflected.

**What problems is TriNet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves many HR type questions in a 1 stop shop.
