Anything HR needs to send out is either on my laptop or, when I'm mobile, on my phone, so I have access to both on my mobile device and on my laptop. I use both daily. I use my laptop when I'm at home or in the office, but if I'm traveling or out in the field, I use my cellular device because it's most helpful. The clocking in and out is the most important for me, especially for lunch or when I'm having a flex day where I work part of the day, clock out, and clock back in for the rest of my day when I'm out in the field. I like being able to clock in and out without dragging my laptop everywhere. Plus there's a timer on it, so I'll know when I need to clock back in. It helps me have a clear expectation of my payroll and my time sheets along with my colleagues and other employees. They're able to clock in and out from their phone or their personal laptops, and it lets us know when there's a missing time punch that needs to be corrected. We're able to save it and submit payroll from anywhere. I think the switch from ADP was mainly for the ease of the benefits and the ease of this system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. It's convenient that everything is on one platform, so I don't have to log into multiple places. Our payroll rep is usually readily available to assist and helps identify solutions. I do not like that TriNet doesn't integrate with our 403(b) plan. I do not like the reporting tool, as it is not intuitive and it's difficult to pull the information I want. Categories are not what I would expect, and that's made it more difficult. The LOA setup isn't great; it doesn't always ask the right questions, and the recent improvements removed the feature that populates the amount of sick or vacation hours an employee has, so I have to exit to check that info and start over. What do you dislike about TriNet? does not handhsake with our timeclock software well, many pages that could link to associated pages do not so you have to navigate through many pages to get to your desired location. the log out time is short so required constant relogging into the service. compared to other services it does not have a good amount of training available. If your payroll needs are straightforward, with no adjustments or leave management required, and you are looking for strong benefits negotiation, they are a decent choice. Their Applicant Tracking System has been improved over the years, so it measures up to others out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about TriNet? The customer service is very disappointing, as it often takes days or even weeks to get a response. This is especially problematic for payroll questions, which really shouldn't take that long to address. Some teams never reply at all, and the only way to reach out is through a generic email address, which makes it even more frustrating. In particular, the Leave of Absence group is a major concern—they consistently fail to respond promptly, leaving employees without answers or updates about their leave status or return-to-work dates. They manage our payroll, taxes, and reporting, which really takes those responsibilities off our plate. They also negotiate and set up our benefit plans for us.
