"Efficiency Booster with Room for Better Support"
What do you like best about Ramp?

I find that Ramp significantly improves efficiency in my work, primarily through the considerable time savings in expense reporting and travel booking. Tasks that previously accounted for 10 to 15% of my work week now only take up about 5%, which represents a roughly 30% reduction in the time I spend on these tasks. I also appreciate the ease of use of Ramp's initial interface, which made the setup and adoption process smooth. The mobile app for expense reporting is incredibly valuable, allowing me to manage expenses without hassle, and the ability to book travel from anywhere adds to its convenience. Due to these benefits, I feel confident recommending Ramp to others, as reflected in my high recommendation score of nine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ramp?

I find accessing customer support challenging, particularly when mistakes occur. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Expense Management, Needs Better Account Management"
What do you like best about Ramp?

I appreciate how Ramp has significantly enhanced efficiency by reducing the time spent on administrative tasks, making things run smoother for us. The integration capabilities are another standout feature as Ramp seamlessly connects with NetSuite and Rippling, allowing for a cohesive workflow that ties everything back to project expenses. I love the simplicity of Ramp's setup process; it wasn't challenging to implement as it was more about how we wanted to set up processes rather than migrating existing systems. The user interface is another aspect I highly value, as it’s very intuitive and simplifies the end user experience. Users can handle expenses on the spot with features like immediate expense justification, receipt attachment, and project assignment, which I find incredibly time-saving. Receiving real-time notifications and being able to complete expense reports using the mobile app, desktop, or even via text, enhances user convenience and efficiency. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about the potential for Ramp to improve travel management, which I expect will further streamline operations and enhance user experiences within our organization. What do you dislike about Ramp?

I find that account management could be improved. I haven't heard from our account manager in a very long time. Although I don't really need them due to the platform's ease of use, regular check-ins and monthly updates are always appreciated. I reached out to them today just to confirm if they are still our account manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ramp Easy"
What do you like best about Ramp?

💳 1. Real-Time Expense Visibility & Control

Why It’s Loved:

You can see and manage spending as it happens, not at the end of the month.

Custom spend limits, merchant restrictions, and real-time alerts give tight control without micromanaging.

Managers can pre-set policies that auto-enforce compliance (e.g. no alcohol, no weekend spend).

✅ Benefit:

Saves time and money by reducing surprise charges, fraud, and policy violations.

🤖 2. Automation of Expense Management

Why It’s Loved:

Ramp automates receipt collection, categorization, and policy enforcement.

No more chasing receipts or filling out clunky monthly reports.

It uses AI to detect duplicate charges, unapproved merchants, and suspicious spend patterns.

✅ Benefit:

Dramatically reduces time spent on manual finance admin—especially helpful for fast-scaling teams.

🧠 3. Smart Integrations with Finance Stack

Why It’s Loved:

Seamlessly integrates with tools like NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Slack, and HR systems.

Real-time syncing of transactions, GL codes, and departments.

✅ Benefit:

Cuts hours of manual reconciliation and ensures cleaner books for finance teams.

🚀 4. Speed of Card Issuance & Flexibility

Why It’s Loved:

Instantly issue virtual or physical cards to employees, vendors, or contractors.

Temporary or project-specific cards help contain spend and add accountability.

You can tie cards to specific budgets or vendors.

✅ Benefit:

Enables more agile operations—especially useful for marketing campaigns, travel, or distributed teams.

💡 5. Insights & Savings Opportunities

Why It’s Loved:

Ramp helps identify duplicate software subscriptions, unused licenses, and negotiation opportunities.

Has a built-in savings insights dashboard, which can flag wasteful spend.

✅ Benefit:

Acts like a spend consultant baked into the platform—leading to real cost savings.

🎯 6. User-Friendly Interface

Why It’s Loved:

Clean, modern UI that’s easier to use than legacy systems (e.g. Concur, Expensify).

Employees can submit receipts or manage cards in a few taps via web or mobile.

✅ Benefit:

Reduces training and support burden—employees actually use the tool as intended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ramp?

🔄 1. Limited Customization for Complex Workflows

Issue:

While Ramp is streamlined and easy to use, some users find it less flexible for complex approval chains, multi-entity setups, or unique accounting rules.

Custom routing or nuanced workflows may require workarounds.

⚠️ Impact:

May not meet the needs of larger or highly-regulated enterprises with more advanced requirements.

🔢 2. Limited International Support

Issue:

Ramp is currently U.S.-only, with limited functionality for international vendors, currencies, or employees.

Foreign transactions are subject to FX fees and may have compliance issues.

⚠️ Impact:

Not ideal for global teams or companies with international operations or suppliers.

💵 3. No Credit or Float Options

Issue:

Ramp is a charge card, meaning the balance must be paid in full every month.

Unlike traditional credit cards, it doesn’t offer payment terms, financing, or revolving credit.

⚠️ Impact:

Not suitable for startups or businesses looking for cash flow flexibility through credit lines.

📉 4. Analytics Are Good, but Not Deep

Issue:

Ramp’s analytics provide useful high-level insights but lack the depth of dedicated financial planning tools.

Some users report limited ability to customize reports or create granular spend forecasts.

⚠️ Impact:

Finance teams may need to export data and work externally in Excel or FP&A tools.

🧾 5. Receipt Enforcement Sometimes Too Rigid

Issue:

Ramp is very strict with receipt policies; it automatically locks cards if receipts aren’t submitted within a set time.

While this enforces compliance, it can feel inflexible or punitive for some users.

⚠️ Impact:

Can disrupt workflows if cards are paused for minor or delayed compliance issues.

📱 6. Mobile App Limitations

Issue:

While improving, the mobile app lacks full desktop parity, particularly for administrators.

Some users find mobile card issuance or approvals slightly clunky.

⚠️ Impact:

Less ideal for finance teams or execs who work frequently from mobile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"No More file folders full of reciepts"
What do you like best about Ramp?

I can see where expenses are at a click of a button. I can search for an expense, sort by card holder, by date, by expense type, by vender name, and find what I need quickly. Plus the cash back is a big help in our bottom line. I do accounting at our church and processing credit cards used to take hours and lots of paper receipt lying around and in our files were an eye sore. Card holder now can put in the reason for charge, upload the receipt and enter an account expense code within seconds of charge happening. No more lost receipts. Love the system. The ACH availability and the added savings account benefit are significant advantages that enhance my financial management experience. What I like best about Ramp is the ability to monitor my credit card statements and reconcile them in minutes instead of hours, drastically improving my efficiency. The simplicity of setting up Ramp was remarkable, with a supportive team and effective tutorials that made the transition smooth and stress-free. Ramp has transformed my financial operations by providing an effortless way to manage spending with comprehensive and easy-to-access information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies AP and Business Card Expenses"
What do you like best about Ramp?

Where do I begin with Ramp?

Having switched from one ERP system to NetSuite, Ramp's integrations made is super easy and made that switch shorter by at least two months. Ramp's customer service team was there the whole way insuring that the product worked exactly how it was intended to! Also rolling out numerous of the features that Ramp has, has made onboarding new employees a breeze.

Also having Alexander Tolani help with any issues that arise, makes my life that much easier. From small issues that might be user error, to asking if they have thought of this feature, Alex has always been there for anything I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ramp?

Ramp, like any SaaS, has bugs. Even though they are few and far in between, they are there. But as I said in the "Best about Ramp", their support team is always there to help and fix any issues within a couple of hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Dream Come True"
What do you like best about Ramp?

Ramp takes all the headaches away when it comes to company cards and bill pay. I have implemented and used several different expense and card programs, but not a single one comes close to being as good as Ramp. The ease of use for employees and admins makes closing the books and getting receipts turned in a breeze. The bill pay is also our main source of processing pay applications now. It syncs perfectly with quickbooks and doesn't have any of the fees that quickbooks does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ramp?

I do think their subscription model is a bit odd. The number of users shouldn't increase the cost as it doesn't affect the quality of the product with more users. I don't see where we would ever upgrade to plus without a set cost and something incredibly differentiating.

My suggestion would be 1-10 Users is free. 11-50 users is $100 a month. 51-200 users is $250 a month. OR the subscription cost is based on spend, the higher the spend the lower the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best investment in the last 5 years"
What do you like best about Ramp?

Ramp has revolutionized our business processes and dramatically increased employee adherence to company expense policies. Weʻve seen a reduction of monthly time spent on expense management from 40 hours per month to around 8 hours per month. The approval process for our credit limit was very easy. The notifications and communication features from RAMP keep everyone on the same page and allow for real-time communication to address spending issues across the organization. This platform is amazing and best thing is after we get 1% back, we are actually spending less than before we had RAMP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ramp has revolutionized the way we do business!"
What do you like best about Ramp?

I absolutely love the features that Ramp offers. It's so quick and easy to use the app & web version, and it's very streamlined & easy to understand. Most of all I love that it makes it so easy to upload receipts, which helps us have more effective and efficient accounting and finance processes. And I very much appreciate the "virtual card" options as that makes me even more efficient. The 'reminders' are also amazing because sometimes I need to buy things and then move on quickly, but having Ramp remind me that a receipt needs to be submitted helps keep me on track. Because of this, I've never had our finance dept have to follow up with me and ask for receipts, which is a win-win-win for all of us! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ramp?

I suppose I don't understand why receipts are not requested/required for all purchases, but maybe that's due to our own custom company setting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
