Response from Eddy Brotemarkle of Responsive, formerly RFPIO

Thanks for your review, Jack!

It's so great that your team is able to manage the entire process all in one place—that IS huge!

As you mentioned, anyone can use Responsive with just 15 minutes of training—but you're right, there is so much more you can do with Responsive, beyond what you'll learn in basic training.

"Responsive powers proposal development & enables us to efficiently & persuasively respond to RFx's"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I am a long-term and early adopter of Responsive's strategic response management software. What I like best is how much easier it is for us to manage our reliable content, answer complex RFPs, and regularly reuse that content so it doesn't get lost. I use it almost every day, and we couldn't manage our extensive projects without it. When I need assistance, their customer support is fantastic, treating our problems like their problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

Grabbing content on the go that is formatted and ready to add to something outside of Responsive could be easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Josie Fey of Responsive, formerly RFPIO

If there's any way we can help make formatting content easier, don't hesitate to reach out. We're lucky to have your vote of confidence. Cheers to better collaboration with your team!

"Streamlined RFP Management with Responsive"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I appreciate how Responsive has been a huge productivity booster, especially when dealing with complex RFPs. The auto-detection of questions, sections, and answer rows is excellent, significantly reducing manual effort and making navigation of lengthy documents much easier. I like that it helps ensure nothing is missed, which is critical for maintaining accuracy with high RFP volumes. The solution brings structure and transparency to RFP management, turning what could be a fragmented process into a more coordinated one. I also really like its speed in generating answers and allowing me to have full control over reviewing and editing responses. The MS Word-like editing experience is a bonus, making it easy to maintain my workflow while delivering high-quality responses. I find the built-in reminders and the ability to track multiple RFPs simultaneously very helpful, which aids in meeting deadlines and improving coordination across teams. Additionally, the powerful editing tools and seamless collaboration feature when creating new projects are great, making it well-suited for teams working at scale. Setup was also flawless and fast. What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

One area that could be improved is answer relevance—at times, the generated responses aren’t fully aligned with the question and need additional refinement. The help section could also benefit from better prompts or guidance to generate more accurate answers. Additionally, when the system doesn’t have sufficient information, it tends to state that directly rather than offering a partial draft or suggested structure, which would be more helpful. Improving these areas would make the overall experience even stronger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless RFP Responses with Game-Changing AI"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

The best thing about Responsive is that it has made answering RFPs, RFQs so easy and efficient. Additionally, the AI feature which has been recently introduced is a game changer for sure. Overall, it enables us to save a lot of time and help enable the business. We use it very frequently on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

As far as I have used, I haven't faced any issues and it is going very smooth. However, I would like to mention that the price of the tool is a bit high. Apart from this, I dont have any other complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful (sometimes overly-powerful) platform that could use a UI update, but solid bang for buck"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

The various methods to extract information from our content library into the answers - use their AI, their keyword similarity search, assign authors, or upload documents directly. Updating content library is not bad, you can export the Q&A library easily, which is good for maintenance and clean up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

Has too many buttons and sections. Overall their UI needs work as it's quite busy, and most icons can be added to a single toolbar that should be collapsible, not spread across the entire screen. I think they have too many different views for most RFP purposes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Collaboration and Analytics, but Steep Learning Curve and Search Limitations"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

Responsive stands out for its intuitive interface and seamless collaboration features, which make managing RFPs and proposal content incredibly efficient. The centralized content library and smart search capabilities help us quickly locate and reuse high-quality responses, saving time and ensuring consistency. Its integration with other enterprise tools like CRM systems enhances workflow automation and reduces manual effort. I particularly appreciate the real-time collaboration, which allows cross-functional teams to contribute effectively, improving both speed and accuracy in proposal submissions. The platform’s analytics and reporting tools also provide valuable insights into team performance and win rates, helping us continuously refine our strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

While Responsive offers powerful features for proposal management, there are a few areas that could be improved. The learning curve can be steep, especially for new users unfamiliar with the platform’s structure. Some users find the interface unintuitive, making it difficult to locate content or navigate uploaded files efficiently. Additionally, the search functionality can be frustrating when trying to find exact phrases or answers, and the AI-generated responses sometimes lack accuracy or depth, requiring manual corrections. There’s also room for improvement in customization options, such as saved searches and auto-banking of answers, which could enhance usability and flexibility for diverse teams. "Simplified RFP Process with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I love the ease of use of Responsive, formerly RFPIO, which helps us save time. We've been able to cut down on RFP completion time from our old processes. It's easy to collaborate on projects across several markets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

Moving sections or questions after creation can be wonky if they're in the wrong place. The AI function could be smarter and more savvy to industry trends and knowledge. More format consistency or formatting options would be nice, like a full text ribbon with more fonts, font sizes, alignment options, etc. It would be appreciated if more projects were allowed at once. "Fast accurate and simple responsive for documents and strategy"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

Its AI capabilities generate responses quickly from a content library, saving significant time on RFPs, RFQs, and security questionnaires. The platform's collaboration tools enable teams to work simultaneously across sales, marketing, and SMEs without losing reusable content.

User Favorites Content library with intelligent recommendations for fast, accurate answers.Strong workflow automation and integrations for daily project management.Excellent customer support that resolves issues promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I don't like the projects Ui and it's very hard to navigate. Project templates is a great feature but lot of scope to improve with respect to multiple data points like AI generated details based on some values in template. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI Assistant Boosts RFP Response Efficiency"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

Responsive has been an extremely reliable and supportive tool for me to respond to complex RFPs with short timelines. Especially with the recent addition of the ChatGPT-style AI assistant, it has greatly improved the productivity of users. I no longer need to manually look up information, which could consume a lot of time, and the citations of information sources ensure that I am relying on verifiable information. Responsive provides a single knowledge repository that aggregates information to support RFP responses, which is a double help when answers need to be backed by credible sources like public URLs. Before using Responsive, I relied only on OEM public resources and sales enablement sites, but now all that is combined within the Responsive feed for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I hope they also give a private knowledge base option where users can also add some of their internal work to get AI assistance but exclusively for the customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Saves Time with Centralized Content and Streamlined Collaboration"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I like how Responsive helps manage and streamline our RFP process, especially as it allows me to collaborate with various teams like sales and legal to gather accurate responses and reuse approved content from the knowledge library. It saves time and reduces the back and forth. The centralized content library is a huge benefit, providing a single source of truth for approved, up-to-date responses, which saves time and reduces risk. I also find the collaboration and workflow features very helpful for assigning questions, tracking progress, and seeing real-time status updates, ensuring things are moving forward. Overall, the software saves a lot of time while improving the overall quality and consistency of our answers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

At times, the content library can feel a bit overwhelming. Having features like more organization tools, more advanced tagging, or smarter search and filtering could help make it easier to surface the most relevant or recently approved responses quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very happy with our experience so far"
What do you like best about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I am extremely pleased with our choice to implement the Responsive bid platform. It has significantly changed how our bid team operates, making us more efficient and making it much easier to locate content that used to take considerable time to find on SharePoint.

The AI features are particularly impressive. As we continue to add more content to our bid library, the platform becomes increasingly tailored to our organisation’s needs and style. It has also contributed to enhancing the quality of our existing content.

The implementation process was straightforward and hassle-free. The Responsive team has been consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. The online guides and the Responsive Academy tool have been invaluable during setup and onboarding - they are comprehensive and easy to follow. We are already using the platform for all our new bids, which speaks to how quickly we were able to get up and running.

In summary, I highly recommend switching to an AI-supported bid platform for any bid professional still relying on manual processes. It is a tremendous help in organising and managing a large content library, especially for organisations like ours with a wide range of services and products. Among all the platforms we evaluated, Responsive stood out for its user-friendly interface and advanced AI tools, so I would strongly recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Responsive, formerly RFPIO?

I can't think of any downsides! The only point I would mention is that, to create a truly robust and manageable content library, you need to dedicate a considerable amount of time at the start to properly categorise and tag all your content. This initial effort is important to make sure you get the most out of the platform and avoid feeling overwhelmed later. However, I actually found the process quite enjoyable, especially since it's such an improvement over the manual workflows we used before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
