We actually went with one of the commonly recommended enterprise tool Spiff first, mostly because it checked the “proven at scale” box and came up in a lot of analyst recommendations.
It worked, but over time it started feeling heavier than we needed. Especially when plans changed or finance needed quick clarity on payouts. The system could handle complexity, but it wasn’t always easy for admins to work with day to day. Getting support on time was another hassle.

We eventually switched to Visdum, and the difference for us was mainly operational. It still handled layered commission structures, but onboarding was faster, integrations with our CRM/finance stack were smoother, and support felt more responsive during changes. For teams like ours, the fact that Visdum was easy to use and more self-serve became very important.

Most platforms handle one piece really well — sales incentives, benchmarking, or planning — but Pequity's compensation management software was built to cover the full enterprise compensation picture: merit cycles, pay bands, equity, total rewards, and even off-cycle approvals in one platform.

The biggest wins I’ve seen:

Flexibility for scale → handles multi-region, multi-currency pay, automated guardrails, and custom policies without breaking workflows.

Integrations that matter → connects cleanly into systems like Workday, SAP, and Greenhouse so comp admins aren’t stuck back in spreadsheets.

Manager + employee experience → merit cycles run smoothly, managers get the right context, and HR doesn’t have to handhold every step.

Enterprise trust → strong security and permission role-based access that check the compliance boxes while keeping data safe.

Unified planning → with Pequity, you can plan base, bonus, equity, and more in a single cycle instead of juggling multiple tools.

For mid-market to large organizations juggling complex structures, Pequity's compensation management software has been the only platform I’ve seen that balances enterprise power with usability.
