1. The "Mobile Latency" Gap

Field Service is only as good as the technician’s mobile experience.

The Issue: The Field Service Mobile app can feel slow or "clunky" when trying to load heavy Agentforce assistant logic, especially in low-connectivity areas (like basements or remote sites).

Architectural Pain: If your LWC or OmniStudio components are too "heavy," they can cause the app to lag or crash during critical on-site repairs.

2. High Implementation Complexity

It is definitely not "plug-and-play."

The Issue: Setting up Autonomous Scheduling requires an incredibly high level of data hygiene. If your Service Territories, Skills, and Work Types aren't perfectly mapped, the AI will make illogical dispatch decisions (e.g., sending a technician 2 hours away for a 15-minute job).

For a developer, this means you can build LWCs that act as intelligent assistants, summarizing job history or safety notes instantly, allowing the tech to focus on the repair rather than the record-keeping.

2. Solving "Reactive" Scheduling BottlenecksThe Problem: Traditional scheduling is reactive. Many problems for us, but management of fleet customers is pretty awesome, we have multiple locations so having the ability to add columns keep track of where customer vehicles are at all times helps us stay on top of things. In the two years that our shop has been using Tekmetric I have had no complaints. Any issue that we have come across has generally been lack of knowledge on our part and Tekmetric has been quick to respond with tutorials or one on one training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Tekmetric has taken the place of multiple programs for our shop. Previously we were using separate programs for scheduling, writing repair orders, and receiving payments, and keeping track of technician hours. All of these things are now combined in Tekmetric and has saved a large amount of hassle and money. Having everything in one place and working together makes running our shop much more productive. All CRM's aren't created equal, and there is always going to be something aout a CRM that doesn't exactly fit your companies needs. Jobber is as close as it gets. I'd like to see batch invoicing, batch deleting of old jobs, and better reports when it comes to comparing last years numbers. Being able to separate out our recurring, one-time and seasonal work is ok with the tag system, but I still have to go to each clients account and manually type in a tag. Zapium helps convert service information into structured sales action. Instead of depending only on memory, calls, or scattered notes, I can refer to actual service records and inspection observations while following up with customers. This improves the quality of maintenance discussions, makes proposals more relevant, and helps account managers coordinate better with service and operations teams. The biggest disappointment was that the software did not deliver the value we expected despite the significant investment of time and money. Implementation was far more difficult than anticipated, and instead of improving our operations, it created additional challenges for our team.

My biggest concern, however, is the contract. After determining that the platform was not a good fit for our business and discontinuing its use, we are still being required to pay more than $3,500 per month with no reasonable path to terminate the agreement early. The software really works best by using the admin software AND the mobile APP together. As a manager, you have control over every feature - but your techguys should only use mobileapp: open a job, attach photo & signature - and save! Thats the only thing they need. What I dislike most about Jotform is that **pricing and usage limits can become restrictive surprisingly quickly**, especially when the form is used for real-world scenarios involving many submissions, photographs, and file uploads.

In our case, the form was created to collect damage reports and photographic evidence from people affected by an earthquake. Although we configured external storage through Google Drive, the overall usage model still required us to pay for the platform once the volume of submissions and uploaded evidence increased. For a temporary emergency-response use case, this was disappointing because the technical solution worked very well, but the cost became an important operational consideration.

I would also like to see **clearer visibility into how submissions, storage, file uploads, and integrations affect account limits**, particularly before a form goes live. Better forecasting tools, usage alerts, or more flexible short-term plans for high-volume events would make the platform considerably stronger.

Overall, I see this primarily as a limitation of the commercial model rather than the product itself. The functionality is excellent, but organizations should understand the limits and expected volume beforehand, especially when designing forms for emergencies, community reporting, or evidence-heavy workflows. Jotform is solving the problem of collecting structured information, photographic evidence, and supporting documentation from many people through a single, controlled workflow.

In our case, we needed to gather damage reports from residents affected by an earthquake in Pereira, Colombia. Without a platform like Jotform, this information could easily become fragmented across emails, messaging applications, spreadsheets, and individual photo files, making consolidation, traceability, and follow-up much more difficult.

Jotform allowed us to centralize the entire process. Each affected person could submit their information and attach photographic evidence through an easy-to-use form, while administrators received structured and individually identifiable records that could later support damage assessment, insurance-related processes, and administrative review.

The main benefit for us was speed and operational control. We were able to deploy a functional solution quickly, standardize the information being collected, reduce manual data consolidation, preserve submission traceability, integrate the workflow with Google Drive, and control when the reporting period was open or closed.

Ultimately, Jotform helped us transform an urgent and potentially disorganized reporting process into a structured, traceable, and manageable digital workflow, which significantly reduced administrative effort and improved the quality of the information collected. There is not much that I dislike about MotionOps. Some features can take a little time to learn at first, and I would like to see even more customization options in the future, but overall the platform works very well for my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really do not have any complaints about Field Nation. I have only had one issue where I had to go to support since the provider we selected replaced himself with an alternate who had a much lower rating but I called support and we resolved it quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have customers who have planned and unplanned events that require talent in areas where they do not have a physical presence. The planned events are easy as we have the time to source, vet and engage a Field Nation professional with time to plan, communicate and execute. The unplanned events are where it gets interesting and having access to the expansive network of technicians allows us to become the hero. For example, this past Sunday I received a call from one of my customers that they needed remote hands support for a Fortinet upgrade that had not been successful and in one hour I had engaged a Field Nation technician who arrived on site Monday morning at 9AM CST and by 10AM, the issue was resolved and my customer and theirs were completely satisfied. Field Nation allows us to resolves these issues without having to fly anyone to the customer site which minimizes the cost of doing business quickly, efficiently and effectively. If I had to mention one thing I dislike it would be that because it is feature-rich platform, it can feel a bit complex for new users. There can a learning curve when navigating different modules, workflow and configurations. Some customizations and integrations require technical expertise which can increase implementation time.

Once the users are familiar with the platform and proper processes, these challenges become much easier to manage. In my experience, the benefits in terms of efficiency, collaboration and automation far outweigh these initial challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My primary use of ServiceNow has been for creating test plans, managing test cases, and logging defects over the past six years. The biggest problem ServiceNow solves for me is centralizing the entire QA process in one platform, instead of using multiple tools or sheets, which improves traceability and collaboration across the team.

It has benefited me by making it easier to manage testing activities, monitor defect status, track progress, and communicate effectively with developers and product owners. Having a single source of truth has helped reduce manual effort, improve productivity and ensure that testing is well organized throughout the SDLC. The Virtual Mentor Center has both pros and cons. Virtual troubleshooting can lead to great advice, but it can also result in a completely wrong diagnosis because it depends heavily on the information my field team provides. The initial setup was also time-consuming, since creating and adjusting workflows requires fully manual input, and we often need to make changes after getting feedback from team members. I use XOi to reduce paper use while documenting service calls and maintenance more effectively. It’s customizable, making it easier to manage equipment data so we can reliably track service history and identify equipment replacement needs without hassle. It would be nice to be able to provide a single space to 2 separate zones. There may be instances where a mini-split would be used in a conference room space along with regular space tempering from a roof top unit that is providing the ventilation air.

The navigation of the spaces screen is a little clunky. It would be great to zoom in and out without using ctrl. I could just be using it incorrectly, but this is a minor issue.

Report generation is lacking a little bit. It again could be how I'm using it, but the system information for each unit and possibly a zone map showing the equipment would be a nice feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Trace 700 doesn't have any visualization tools and changes to the spaces is difficult. You are unable to see anomalies prior to running reports.

Trace 3D has the visualization but is even more cumbersome when it comes to creating spaces. There is always the wait time and praying that you have everything set correctly before being able to see any reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would usually have a hard time with the platform and the ease of being able to list those out if I'm in an area. I would like it better if when I'm in an area, Badger Maps could just tell me everyone around who does cosmetic surgery or liposuction. If it could populate that into a quick list based on the specific zip code in order, that would be helpful. So I could go from Stop 1, Stop 2, Stop 3 in a list on that day. I also really need the ability to weed out any reconstructive plastic surgeons or plastic surgeons owned by a hospital system or a larger health system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Badger Maps helps me find new practices or doctors doing liposuction, saving me time by eliminating manual searches on Google. I like its visual map and the ability to search by specific procedures like liposuction or cosmetic surgery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
