The only actual issue that we've had with NetSuite is the reporting/saved searches. Over the last couple of years there's been improvements with that and it's really upped our game as far as doing more directly in NetSuite. Our Law toolbox subsidiary is painful. Senior accountants manually raise invoices, download data from partner portals, and track revenue in Excel and partially in Recurly. We can't even pull basic metrics like churn or renewal rates because the data is everywhere.

It separates my revenue streams so I can actually see what;s making money. I've got the coffee bar, the booze and the event tickets, xero helps me to check margins on the cocktails are covering the overhead when the coffee side is slow, and definetely keeps the IRS off my back and Lets me focus on the community and the events rather than accounting. Stampli has helped us tremendously with timely payments to vendors, not being asked to code the same invoice multiple times, and getting invoices to the correct coders the first time. This has helped our work load so much, because we no longer have to spend at least an hour each day finding old invoices that we coded months ago that were never paid. I can’t create an invoice on the go. If a client or even a non-client walks into the office needing a quick out-of-scope job like a copy of a report or something similar I can’t just generate an invoice without first creating an agreement. What problems is Anchor solving and how is that benefiting you?

I’m in a small community where a lot of our clients talk among themselves, so consistency is really important. Anchor’s set pricing and the ability to apply discounts let me show the same retail pricing to everyone, which keeps things transparent and fair. Before Anchor, my pricing was all over the place. Now, each service includes its own scope of work, expectations, and benefits meaning my engagement letters practically write themselves. It’s streamlined, consistent, and saves me a ton of time. Although FreshBooks does a great job with ease of use, the reporting features could be more advanced for those who want deeper insights into financial trends. I’d also like a bit more flexibility when customizing invoices and dashboards. Additionally, the cost may feel high for freelancers or very small businesses on a tight budget. We occasionally have concerns about the automatic network connection with other vendors. For example, there was a time when we unintentionally connected with a vendor who shared the exact same name as another, and we failed to notice the mistake before a payment was processed. BILL AP helps us save time on data entry by remembering the coding from previous invoices. We also appreciate the BILL email feature, which allows us to send invoices directly to BILL from our email, including their attachments. Maxio relieves us of the burden of managing monthly subscriptions, so we don't have to worry about it. Its flexibility allows me to control how often customers receive billing reminders, when they get them, and what actions follow. We offer a variety of pricing models for our different services, and Maxio enables us to separate these services into distinct billing platforms. This way, revenue calculations are specific to each service and not combined, eliminating the hassle of manually sorting through data to separate revenue by service. The biggest drawback we've had using Paystand is the amount of time it takes to notify us about a bounced ACH for insufficient funds or bad account number. For example, if a customer makes a payment on a Tuesday, we won't know if that payment truly clears until the following Tuesday. We will still get credited 1-2 days after the initial payment, but if it bounces, that payment is reversed. Then we're left to go back and try to recollect a week later. Our company experiences a high volume of bounced transactions, so being notified about them after 7 days is pain compared to the standard 2-3 days when depositing a check. This company is fraudulent and a scam, and they do not answer the phone. I received two checks through email from America PAC for the Elon Musk petition referral program. Checkbook.io sent the checks.

I deposited the checks via mobile deposit and my bank flagged the checks and shut my account down saying the checks were fraudulent. When I tried to dispute this matter and explained that they are not fraud, Wells Fargo told me they require verification from Checkbook.io to prove the checks were legitimate. I sent over 30 detailed emails as well as attempted to call them. When you call them, it says “no support agents are available. Leave your number and email and someone will get back to you” and nobody ever calls you. I've called over 100 times.

All I needed them to do was call from a verified phone number and tell my bank the checks were legitimate. They couldn’t even do that.

What financial business does not operate using the phone? It makes no sense.

When I finally do get an email back, it isn’t helpful at all, and my support inquiry is closed and marked completed.

My bank is closing my account on 2/4/25 if I can’t get the checks verified by then. My funds are being held by bank, and I will have to have my long awaited checks recalled and then re-issued if I can’t get this done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allowed my employer to pay me seamlessly through email. However they will not help you if a bank needs further verification. They do not have a working phone number. Zero Customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One challenge we have is that the message section doesn’t sync properly when using separate internal users. The messages appear as unread even when they’ve already been opened by someone else. Because of this, we currently have to share one internal user account.

Another limitation is that we can’t click directly on a user’s name within a message channel to go to their profile. Instead, we have to copy the name, switch to the CRM, paste it, and manually open the profile — which adds unnecessary steps.

It would also be helpful if the total message count showed the number of channels (users) instead of total messages, and if the counter didn’t stop at 99+ but displayed the actual number.

The calendar is buggy and it doesn't offer me the option of seeing all the calendars of the whole office at the same time. I coordinate the schedule and I need to see everyone's availability. We keep practice info at our fingertips and use it to track time. I also like the task tracking and the ability to set up task flows that trigger the next step on completion of the previous. Overall, Paddle works very well for me, but the handling of discount codes in the web interface is quite limited. There is no support for discount code groups or for generating large batches of codes automatically, which would be very useful. I also suggested a new discount code type some time ago, but it hasn't been implemented yet. Paddle takes care of all the complex parts of selling software globally: payment processing, VAT/GST handling, invoicing, compliance, and subscription management. This saves me a significant amount of time and lets me focus on developing my products instead of dealing with financial and administrative tasks. What I dislike about Sequence is that while its simplicity is a strength, it can also mean that some advanced users may wish for deeper customization options or more granular controls. A few features feel early in their maturity, and depending on your workflow, you might notice occasional gaps that require workarounds. Integration is generally smooth, but certain edge-case tools or systems may need extra configuration. Ordway’s flexibility and customization options are extensive, and that can sometimes feel overwhelming when trying to determine the best approach for certain situations or building reports. While this can feel like a "dislike" at times, it really speaks to the the breadth of possibilities the system can account for, track and report on. Ordway enables us to accurately bill complex parent/child account structures, which is essential for our operations. Its integrations with QuickBooks and Avalara add another layer of support by providing helpful error notifications. There is nothing that I actually dislike about the software as such. But I just wish that certain features like reminder email or a normal whatsapp message were part of the basic model as well.
