**What do you like best about Zenskar?**

Their ability to ingest data from any source as long as it's in rows and columns is exactly what we need given our messy upstream data. 

The native NetSuite integration and AI contract ingestion save us time. Most importantly, the team was honest about limitations rather than overselling, which matters when you're evaluating vendors.

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

Cash application is still early. Not a dealbreaker, just requires more exploration before we commit.

**What problems is Zenskar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Law toolbox subsidiary is painful. Senior accountants manually raise invoices, download data from partner portals, and track revenue in Excel and partially in Recurly. We can't even pull basic metrics like churn or renewal rates because the data is everywhere. 

Zenskar automates billing, ties cash application and rev rec to the same data source, and finally gives us proper SaaS reporting. Less manual work, a single source of truth, and the visibility we need as we prepare for IPO.

**What do you like best about Zenskar?**

Dynamic pricing is core to our GTM and Zenskar handles it without turning our system into a SKU catalog. We ship fast, pricing changes often, and products are evolving mid-cycle. Their system absorbs that complexity.

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

The evaluation process required multiple touchpoints to get into the technical details, which extended our timeline slightly. 

However, their willingness to reschedule and accommodate our availability showed flexibility. They also quickly adapted by bringing in the right enterprise sales expertise once they understood our scale and complexity which helped move things forward more efficiently.

**What problems is Zenskar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're dealing with a sales team that operates more like deal hunters than a structured sales org, resulting in highly customized contracts that are difficult to manage at scale. Currently, we create multiple SKUs and subscriptions for the same product.

Zenskar handles these variations without the complexity, while offering integrations with our existing CRM workflows. This has helped us maintain a single source of truth and reduce the burden on ourselves.

**What do you like best about Zenskar?**

What really stands out is how Zenskar handles the complexity of usage billing without
making us do everything manually. Their AI contract ingestion is accurate, it can pull all
the key terms from our signed contracts automatically, which saves hours of data entry.
I particularly like that they have direct sync with Metabase, which means our usage data
flows directly into the platform for automated overage calculations.
The fact that they can handle both our PLG and enterprise SLG motion in one platform
gives us room to scale without switching tools later.

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

The initial setup had some technical complexity, especially around configuring our variable pricing structure. But their team was highly responsive on slack and calls, which
made the onboarding much smoother than expected.

**What problems is Zenskar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zenskar is solving our manual nightmare. Before using Zenskar, we used to spend an
entire day every month tracking API call overages across customers, manually
cross-referencing usage logs in our database with contract terms in sheets then
creating invoices separately. This process delayed our billing cycle. It was incredibly
time-consuming
With Zenskar, all of that becomes automated - usage ingestion, overage calculation,
and invoice generation happen automatically, saving us significant time.

**What do you like best about Zenskar?**

The UI is clean and relatively intuitive to use.  I like the idea of Contracts being the central object.

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

The team was extremely misleading about the functionality of the product during the sales process.  Its been 6 months and we are still not implemented. The system does not support Xero (despite their claims).  Their reporting doesnt show MRR, only booked revenue, incorrectly reported as MRR. It doesnt cleanly support invoicing on a schedule that is not on the first of the month.

We have very custom contracts and wanted to automate billing and rev rec.  It is not going well.

The bidirectional Salesforce sync handles our custom fields cleanly, and revenue recognition auto-maps to invoices so our month-end close runs faster with fewer adjustments.

Our proprietary usage database required some API work on our end but that's expected given compliance requirements.

Our billing was spread across tableau, salesforce, and sheets with each CSM running their own revenue calculations. But now all our finance ops, like invoicing, collections, and revrec live and are handled in one place. 

The biggest unlock for us with Zenskar was being able to adjust pricing models without waiting on our devs.

Analytics is good but I wish more dashboards were ready for quick reporting. We had to
configure a few views ourselves. The product is evolving quickly, so I expect this to
improve.

and revrec. Zenskar automated our finops and eliminated spreadsheets. It has reduced

Our business started to scale rapidly as we expanded to the UK market, but it also came with many billing issues. Our finance team couldn’t keep up with the number of invoices coming in. So we moved to Zenskar to automate the process, connected Salesforce and Stripe, and with it, the entire invoicing and reconciliation process is automated. Zenskar also matches our transaction volume and scales with us.

Not so much. They have provided a free sandbox and allowed us to implement and test the product without any upfront payment. They also stayed connected via Slack and helped us with queries after implementation.

Zenskar's APIs automated our entire PLG billing - from usage tracking and invoicing. That was our primary proboem. But now our finance team loves to see how esay it is to automate revenue recognition for the contracts we have.

Nothing to dislike. The team worked almost as an extension of our team, and configured everything for us. Even after we went live, they stayed connected on Slack, and resolved our queries.

Zenskar solved our three major billing headaches. 
First, it automated our PLG billing completely - no more downloading usage report, manually creating invoices. Second, it simplified our revenue recognition process, making our finance team much more efficient. We really appreciate Zenskar’s flexibility to manage our bespoke contracts. Our finance team no longer has to spend days and nights matching transactions to invoices. All are automated with Zenskar. The deferred revenue module is also powerful enough to automate all of our revenue schedules.

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

Absolutely nothing. The onboarding process was done in phases. It took us 4 weeks to migrate completely. But we went live with the billing phase in 1 week.  The team was constantly available on Slack and email to handhold us.

**What problems is Zenskar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our developers spent significant man-hours patching errors and helping the finance team with data to reconcile invoices. With Zenksar, it took 1-time to set up. And now our developers don’t have to work on billing at all.

The contract info flows from Salesforce, and invoices are created automatically. The finance team approves the invoices, and Zenskar automates downstream reconciliation and revenue recognition.

I can’t think of anything negative about Zenskar. The platform has fulfilled all our requirements, and their team’s support has been outstanding. Being in touch on Slack has made communication seamless, and their level of customization and dedication is truly remarkable.

What I appreciate most about Zenskar is how it automates billing and revenue recognition across diverse contract terms while maintaining ASC 606 compliance. I no longer spend hours creating invoices or matching remittances to invoices—a major efficiency boost for our small finance team.

Honestly, there's very little to dislike. They gave us a custom onboarding doc to help us integrate with their APIs. They were also available all time on Slack and resolved our queries.

Flexibility to configure any pricing. All the features our team needs are in one place–billing, collections, usage tracking, and revrec. Their CS team—the support Zenskar provides is top-tier. They work closely with us, even six months after going live, and resolve our queries.

User-friendly, I like the UI of the platform. Our sales team creates different contract terms with custom billing schedules to close enterprise deals. Zenskar was able to translate these terms and billing schedules into an automated billing workflow. It was impressive. Plus, it did the recognition of revenue for these custom schedules, leaving our finance team to do more strategic work.

Nothing major comes to mind. It takes some time to get used to the product, but Zenskar team handheld me configure our contracts on the platform. It was a one-time effort. Now all the deals from HubSpot get created automatically in Zenskar.

The overall experience has been great. While invoicing itself was not an issue with us earlier, revrec was a major painpoint. Zenskar helped us create custom revrec rules for different billing schedules, and created journal entries (ASC 606 compliant) with no errors. It also integrates well with QuickBooks and Stripe.

**What do you like best about Zenskar?**

Zenskar has made custom billing very easy for us. The platform is very intuitive, once I got the hang of it, my team and I weren’t dependent on our engineers to iterate on pricing. We were able to be more aggressive in our pricing experiments. It was as simple as choosing between different pricing options + discounts/free trials, and schedules. Launch the product catalog, and it's done.

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

No such cons, the only concern I had initially was their turnaround time. I normally work with our in-house engineers to set up pricing. But Zenskar’s accessibility on Slack really closed that concern for me.

We wanted to launch in a new market and were looking for a billing tool that can support pricing experiments and automate the downstream workflows.  We had a manual process in place, which was not efficient and quite error-prone. Zenskar has helped us to iterate on pricing, and automated downstream billing/revrec operations. Zenskar made our billing process simple and efficient. We don’t have to depend on developers for every small change in pricing. It’s great for handling usage-based and subscription models, and the Avalara integration made tax calculations effortless.

**What do you like best about Zenskar?**

Zenskar’s flexible contract builder easily configured our pricing models (subscriptions with usage components). It also allowed us to easily migrate our existing customers from subscriptions to a usage-based model. This includes turning off auto-renewal, adding or removing products from the subscription, and introducing usage components. Zenskar also integrated with DealHub, enabling us to create quotes in DealHub and automatically generate an entry in Zenskar. Their revenue recognition module also created accurate journal entries and synced them with our GL, making it easier to close books.

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

Initially, we experienced a bit of a learning curve when getting used to the software, but their constant support through Slack helped us adapt to Zenskar faster than expected.

**What problems is Zenskar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zenskar helped us migrate our subscription to a UBP model, which helped us scale our revenue by 2x in the span of 6 months. It also helped us eliminate the manual efforts that went into entering all the subscription details and calculations in the spreadsheet. Their revenue recognition feature helped us recognise the revenue only when we realised that it gave us fair value for our business.

The pricing flexibility allows us to create as many and as complex pricing models as we want. I love how user-friendly the platform is, even non-tech folks find it very convenient.

Had minor issues here and there, but their support team took care of them.

Our GTM motion started about a couple of years ago, and as we primarily cater to the SMB market, custom pricing is a crucial factor in closing deals for us. While the sales team handles this, billing becomes tricky for our finance team later.
While we were evaluating tools to help create multiple pricing models and automate billing for us, the kind of flexibility Zenskar has to offer is unmatched.
What I love the most about it is my team has to be 0% dependent on our tech team to help us set it up.

**What do you like best about Zenskar?**

I love that zenskar solved a lot of our pain points in one go. We used to track each revenue on a spreadsheet and do all the calculations there. Zenskar automated that process for us, from payment reconciliation to recognizing revenue and syncing it with NetSuite to help us close books faster. They have a flexible billing module, too. It automated the invoicing process as well. Doing sales tax calculations for different locations was a headache for us previously. Zenskar’s integration with Avalara resolved that as well.

We had doubts how smooth the migration would be, but Kudos to Zenskar’s team. The migration happened in stages, with complete handholding on Zoom, and Slack. Had a few minor hiccups. Their team solved it promptly.

**What problems is Zenskar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier, we used Excel to calculate and recognize revenue for our subscriptions + postpaid overages pricing model. While it got the job done, it wasn’t the most efficient way. Unavoidable human errors were a major issue for us, and delayed our book closing. We were looking for a solution to solve our rev-rec. Fortunately, we found Zenskar, who not only solved revenue recognition but automated our billing and collections too.

One of the best parts about Zenskar is its ability to automate revenue recognition for our complex contracts! 

It connected with 2 of our QuickBooks and Xero accounts for UK and US entities and automated consolidated revenue reporting, and enabled us to present accurate data to board members.

The reporting dashboard is comprehensive, and needs little learning curve. Their support team has resolved our queries on Slack every time we asked them any queries.

**What do you like best about Zenskar?**

Easy to use, simple setup, and great support. Very powerful APIs. Connects with our databases via webhooks and aggregated the data with a simple aggregator. We no longer needed to aggregate all usage data into spreadsheets. Gave us pricing flexibility to price our products on a usage basis and experiment with different pricing strategies faster. They have a very strong RevRec module that supported all the pricing models we launched + allowed for grandfathering, so existing customers' billing doesn’t get disrupted

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

The UI is getting better and better every day, and the product is getting easier to use. They also have a responsive support team who resolves our queries quickly. So no complaints there.

Zenskar solved our billing and revrec challenges for ubp pricing models. This saved me time manually doing it all, and do away with errors. Now I just have to go to a customer, and review the invoice, and hit send. and Zenskar automatically sends the invoices, and do to follow-ups. , Once the invoices are paid, zenskar creates journal entries and recognize revenue without my manual input. Overall, it simplified our order-to-cash process and improved our financial visibility as we scaled rapidly.

Zenskar really shines handling edge case rev rec scenarios. It takes some time to getting used to, but once I got used to it, configuring pricing and revrec rules was pretty easy. It's great that their system is API-first too - it fits with our existing tech stack without any dev overhead.

We did run into a few bugs here and there. But I have to say, their support team is responsive. They use Slack for support, which made it easy to reach them and get issues resolved quickly.

Zenskar automated double-entry journal creation for our seat-based pricing with postpaid overages, and created revenue waterfall reports with deferred, unbilled and recognized revenues without any manual inputs from our side. It was smooth. Initially, we were concerned about moving from our Zuora to Zenskar, coz we already had enterprise customers' billing logic set up there, and changing it would involve huge risk. But with Zenskar it was smoother than expected. We migrated in batches, just tested with a few smaller contracts, and slowly configured complex contracts in Zenskar. In the end, we moved all our enterprise customers to Zenskar as well. They allowed existing customers to stay on their plan, while updating the plan for new customers, making it easier for us, and the customers.

Zenskar is a much-needed solution for our hybrid sales-led/product-led growth model. I appreciate how their flexible platform allowed us to configure usage-based pricing with all the different tiers, discounts, commitments etc., without involving engineers. The real star of the show was Zenskar's Rev rec module which handled real-time revenue recognition for us based on accrual accounting principles, synced it with Quickbooks, and helped us to close books faster. We use Rev Rec all the time at Toplyne for our accounting reporting.

Super easy to set up as well.

**What do you dislike about Zenskar?**

Nothing much to complain about. Their support was excellent right from the get-go. The Zenskar team configured our pricing model and rev rec rules. We ran into some minor bugs initially, but they were lightning-fast in addressing them over Slack. They've even built a couple of specific little features we wanted. Can't be more happier on that front.

**What problems is Zenskar solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zenskar has been an absolute lifesaver for our marketing finance team. We didn't have the bandwidth to juggle between spreadsheets and manually do billing and revenue recognition.
Zenskar seamlessly plugs into our systems - ingesting order data from the CRM, automated invoicing, payment reminders, reconciled payments from our payment processors, automated revenue schedules, and synced journal entries with the general ledger in Quickbooks.
It's allowed us to stay sane while scaling our billing and rev rec processes rapidly. Stellar product!
