“Streamlined Workflow with Intuitive Automation”
What do you like best about monday Work Management?

I find monday Work Management incredibly useful for tracking sales funnel, projects, invoices, and payments all in one place where everything can be correlated. I appreciate the ease of use and the simplicity in setting up automations. It's very handy that if I'm trying to do something and can't figure out how, I can ask the onboard AI and it helps me. The AI is great because it handles the menial tasks and provides guidance for more complex ones. The initial setup was very easy, thanks to the ample assistance from the Monday team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday Work Management?

I wish we could have more status labels. We've used all the available ones and had to combine some to track all the statuses we want. Occasionally, and this is minor, AI picks the wrong name from an item title, or duplicates one name or the other. Easy fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is monday Work Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

monday Work Management consolidates all my tasks in one place, making it easier to track sales, projects, and invoices. The onboard AI assists in menial tasks and solving complex ones, enhancing overall efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A Solid Ticketing System for Managing CMS Development Workflows”
What do you like best about Jira?

What we value most about Jira is how clearly it helps us structure and manage technical requests in a traceable way. We use it as our central ticketing system to report bugs, request improvements, and communicate with both our internal tech team and the developers of our CMS.

Jira lets us follow the entire lifecycle of each ticket—from creation through to resolution—across different statuses such as open, in progress, pending QA, or awaiting feedback from our side. Having this level of visibility makes coordination between the editorial, product, and development teams smoother, so nothing gets overlooked and priorities remain clearly defined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jira?

One of Jira’s main drawbacks is that it can feel complex and not very intuitive for non-technical users, especially in a newsroom environment where not everyone is accustomed to working with development tools.

The interface and workflow configuration can be overwhelming at first, and even simple tasks can take more steps than you’d expect. For editorial teams, this can slow adoption, create friction in day-to-day use, and ultimately make Jira feel less user-friendly than simpler ticketing or communication tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using Jira, managing technical requests felt fragmented. We often relied on emails or informal communication, which made it difficult to clearly track progress, ownership, and responsibilities.

Jira addresses this by giving us a centralized, structured way to handle all technical requests in one place. We can easily see which tickets are open, which are resolved, which are pending quality control, and which ones still require additional input from our side.

As a result, we’re better organized, communication with developers is smoother, and there’s more transparency across teams. It also makes it easier to prioritize work and ensures that improvements and bug fixes are consistently followed up until they’re fully completed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“ClickUp’s Custom Templates, Integrations, and Support Make Project Management Effortless”
What do you like best about ClickUp?

ClickUp allows me not only to see and control every aspect of every project I’m handling, but also to customize how I do it. Being able to build custom templates that I can use as a foundation for similar projects—and then adjust as needed for each new one—lets me take on almost any project, regardless of the goals or even the industry. Depending on the intended outcome, I can set things up so I have exactly what I need, when I need it, without always starting from zero.

If I need to integrate other programs’ abilities—such as a CRM, a third-party communication platform, or even simple document storage and sharing (especially when clients have their own preferred tools)—I can do that without having to relearn the entire process. I’ve built some pretty extensive workspaces for different clients, and I’ve genuinely never had performance issues within the program. And because workspaces exist outside a single workstation, I don’t have to worry about losing anything important if there’s a hardware problem.

ClickUp’s pricing structure feels quite fair, even though there are a few features I’d like to have at lower tiers. The ability to create wikis, SOPs, and documents is amazing; however, I’d also like the option to lock those so other users can’t change them at the lower pricing tiers. Still, I believe the usefulness of what you get is unmatched. I ran several of my own businesses on the free tier for years before needing to upgrade.

Customer service is also, in my opinion, unmatched. I’ve always been able to get in touch with someone for help, and even simple, non-urgent questions have been handled quickly and professionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

The only real complaint I have ever had has been based around features locked behind the pricing tiers. Most of the time this is a per project issue, since different projects need different options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp keeps me organized and even accountable to myself, both professionally and personally. I even have a workspace set up for my family that we use to keep our household in order. There really is no limit to what you can use ClickUp for, and the more they expand the features, the less I have to deal with software spread. Internal chat, non-user portals and communications, and agents that help with everyday tasks are the kinds of additions that keep improving ClickUp’s usefulness with every update. It’s an all-in-one task management and calendar tool. It lets me delegate tasks to my team while also keeping track of performance, staying on top of what’s being done, and using the calendar as a way to plan our content. Iy also integrates with your Google calendar which I absolutely love! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I don't like that the pricing is per seat/user rather than an all-in cost. I also believe the onboarding process can be a bit more in-depth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's allowing me to keep track of all of the tasks required across all of our clients and our team to avoid things falling through the cracks. The AI integration with Google allows us to have these tasks converted into Google calendar events for our team to make it even more seamless. AS
“All-in-One Workspace Driving Seamless Collaboration and Productivity”
What do you like best about Notion?

One of the aspects of Notion that I find particularly compelling is how it successfully integrates everything related to work processes. In essence, from managing team tasks, tracking the status of projects, capturing workflows, keeping records about the client, and any other activities related to work, Notion provides all the necessary instruments for that. At the same time, within the framework of the enterprise environment, Notion can be seen as a unified workspace where pages, databases, and shared folders are used to store meeting minutes, call prep notes, and continuous updates. Finally, thanks to customizable views in the form of kanban boards, timelines, or simple tables, every participant can see everything from a certain perspective to make interactions even more convenient.

In terms of personal use, Notion is just as effective as it can be. This product can be easily used to manage personal tasks, brainstorm new ideas, and even make structured notes in the process of working with the rest of the team. What makes Notion even more valuable is its ability to scale and be used both for personal purposes (as a note-taking app) and corporate purposes. Integration is not easy, as we think, but implementation is easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

It may prove challenging from the aspect of usability and deployment, particularly within large corporations—end-users tend to say that it requires certain effort “to get it working”, making the training phase laborious and unhelpful for organizations without any prior structure. There is also feedback regarding issues with customer service and stability, with complaints about inadequate backup and restore functionality and performance glitches that might prove disruptive for mission-critical operations. Moreover, despite its flexibility and capabilities, Notion's frequency of application might prove to be rather burdensome—common complaints include sluggish speed, excessive page-to-page navigation, and insufficient automation and database functionalities, which make it less convenient to use than other software solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Notion addresses the primary issue associated with the fragmentation of workflows by integrating all aspects into one platform that includes tasks, documentation, collaboration, and knowledge management. Rather than utilizing several apps that are required for tasks, project management, and communication, it brings them all together under one roof with the help of pages and databases. For our company, it means that our teams will be able to have all the necessary data on client meetings, briefs prior to calls, status reports of ongoing projects, and other documents gathered on one page, thus making the process of decision-making faster.

From an individual perspective, Notion solves the problem of fragmented data, as well as the need to use several platforms simultaneously. It helps me keep track of my tasks and ideas in a much more effective way, combining them into something that is both organized and flexible. This way, I am able to align my work with the tasks and goals of the team, which results in better collaboration and higher levels of accountability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Original Information
“Easiest Way To Organize The Whole Project”
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

What I like most about Smartsheet is how it seamlessly combines the familiarity of a traditional spreadsheet with incredibly powerful intelligent work management tools. In my experience, managing multiple client delivery projects simultaneously can get overwhelming, but the platform's portfolio-level dashboards give me real-time visibility into everything at once. I’ve found the integration capabilities to be a massive time-saver, allowing me to connect daily apps like Slack, Google Workspace, and Salesforce without constantly switching tabs. The AI-powered intelligence is another standout feature that helps me analyze complex project data and build tailored solutions, even when I don't have the time to act as a technical expert. Whenever I need to coordinate with different departments, the centralized intake and approval workflows make cross-team collaboration completely frictionless. It has definitely become the backbone of my daily routine, keeping my entire team in sync and focused on hitting our project milestones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

While I genuinely enjoy using the platform, there is definitely a bit of a learning curve when you start diving into its more robust capabilities. From time to time, setting up complex intelligent workflows or configuring the advanced resource management tools can feel slightly overwhelming for my less technical team members. I've noticed that getting the custom reporting formulas exactly right requires some trial and error, which might slow things down during the initial onboarding phase. The user interface is generally clean and professional, but occasionally it can feel just a little bit cluttered when you have massive amounts of data and dependencies loaded into a single view. Additionally, navigating their expansive template gallery to find the exact starting point you need can sometimes take a few more clicks than I'd prefer. Overall, these are minor concerns and don’t significantly affect my experience once the initial setup is complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before I started using this tool, tracking cross-functional IT and marketing projects meant hunting down status updates through endless email chains and completely disconnected spreadsheets. Smartsheet solves this headache by acting as a single, centralized hub where everyone can instantly see workload balancing, capacity planning, and live task dependencies. This has made it much easier to manage resource allocation and ensure that my team isn't overburdened during critical project sprints. For instance, fixing bottlenecks remotely is now just a matter of glancing at our Kanban boards or Gantt charts and making quick adjustments, which saves us countless hours that used to be wasted in repetitive status meetings. The automation benefits have been massive, drastically reducing the manual effort required to generate progress reports for our leadership team. Ultimately, it has transformed our scattered, manual processes into a highly efficient system, allowing us to deliver reliable results to our clients with much less stress. “Feature-Rich and Reliable: Great Navigation, Templates, and Integration”
What do you like best about Mural?

Mural has great features that work well, such as navigation, post-its, areas, icons, Jira integration, and templates. Also I got support when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mural?

Mural still has several gaps, but it does seem dedicated to improving. The positioning and alignment reference lines have improved a lot, but it’s still lacking when it comes to placing items within areas, or when you have areas inside other areas. On a lower-capacity computer, Mural also tends to take a long time to load. I still don’t see much AI in Mural, and I think this is another area where it could improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mural helps me consolidate ideas into a solution, since I can brainstorm and turn it to a clear workflow. Not really sure how measurable this is, but would say it makes online sketching possible, and compared to only text notes or paper, it's 100% better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Flexible, Scalable, and Actually Useful for Real Work”
What do you like best about Airtable?

It sits in that sweet spot between a database and an app builder, so you can model real operational workflows, not just track data. We’ve used it to power things like partner onboarding, network applications, and API-driven processes, and it holds up well if you structure it properly.

The ability to layer automations, interfaces, and integrations on top of the same data model is huge. It lets you connect ops, product, and GTM without forcing everything into one rigid system or needing engineering for every change.

From a day-to-day UI and UX standpoint, it’s pretty intuitive once you understand how it’s structured. People can get up and running quickly, but there is a learning curve when you start building more complex workflows. It can also feel a bit fragmented across bases and interfaces if things aren’t well organized.

On onboarding and support, there’s a lot of helpful documentation and a strong community. You can usually find what you need, but getting to best practices takes some experience, especially if you’re thinking about it as a system and not just a spreadsheet.

From a pricing and ROI standpoint, it’s been worth it for us. We’ve been able to replace multiple tools and reduce manual work, which adds up quickly. Costs can increase as you scale, so you need some guardrails, but if you use it intentionally, the value is there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Airtable?

Like with any platform, performance really comes down to how you build. Airtable works well out of the box, but as your data grows and you add more automations, you start to benefit from being more thoughtful about structure and design.

Overall, it’s incredibly powerful, but getting the most out of it comes down to being intentional upfront. With a bit of structure, it stays scalable and avoids turning into a collection of disconnected solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?

Airtable helps solve the problem of work being spread across too many tools and not actually connected.

It gives us a way to centralize workflows that would normally live in spreadsheets, email threads, and different systems, and turn them into something structured and trackable.

The biggest benefit is speed and visibility. We can build and adjust processes quickly, keep everything in one place, and give teams a clear view of what’s going on without a lot of manual coordination. It also helps standardize how work gets done, which cuts down on confusion and rework. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ravetree?

The project budgeting features in Ravetree are the best I've ever seen. We were in spreadsheets prior to using Ravetree and looked at other tools before moving to Ravetree. They were the only one that had the budgeting features we needed. Specifically, we needed to set budgets for each project phase and then have those roll up to the project. “A Simple and Visual Tool for Managing Newsroom Workflows”
What do you like best about Trello?

What we value most about Trello is how it lets us visually organize workflows across different teams in the newsroom. With boards, lists, and cards, we can lay out tasks in a clear, intuitive structure, which makes it easy to see progress at a glance.

We rely on Trello for a range of workflows—editorial planning, SEO tasks, video production, recurring work, and other project-specific initiatives—each set up in its own dedicated board. This setup helps teams collaborate smoothly while still keeping shared priorities visible across the organization. Overall, its simplicity makes it approachable for both editorial and non-technical staff, which is essential in a fast-paced media environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Trello?

While Trello is very intuitive to use, it can start to feel limiting when you’re managing more complex workflows or a large volume of tasks. As projects expand, boards can quickly become crowded, and it isn’t always easy to track dependencies or handle more advanced workflow needs in a clear, straightforward way.

Also, compared with more advanced project management tools, Trello doesn’t offer the same depth of reporting, automation, or workflow customization on its own. To get those capabilities, you typically have to rely on additional integrations or paid features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Trello solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using Trello, coordinating tasks across different teams in the newsroom felt fragmented and far less transparent. It was difficult to see who owned what, how work was progressing, and what the real priorities were across editorial, SEO, and multimedia.

Trello addresses this by giving us a centralized, visual way to manage our workflows. Each task can be tracked from creation through completion, and we can organize work into clear stages, assign responsibilities, and keep visibility across teams without constantly chasing updates.

As a result, coordination has improved, miscommunication has decreased, and overall productivity is higher. It also helps ensure that ongoing projects—whether editorial, technical, or strategic—are consistently followed up on and stay aligned across the organization. Very easy to get started with and intuitive to learn — our team picked it up right away. We can assign tasks, set due dates, and everyone knows what they're working on. We like being able to comment and attach files directly to tasks, and having separate boards for each area keeps everything from getting mixed together. What do you dislike about Freedcamp?

Hard to think of any cons for a small team with our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Freedcamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our nonprofit's communications committee uses this to manage social campaigns, newsletter production, design tasks, and email marketing. We tried Trello but switched to Freedcamp — it felt like a better fit. Before this we relied on email threads and Google Docs, which made it hard to stay organized. Good option for any small team that needs to stay on top of tasks without a lot of setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Very customizable tool with good features fpr project management but also some lack of features”
What do you like best about Wrike?

Wrike introduces new features constantly. Especially for admins ther have been a lot of new reporting possibilities for big acounts which help a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wrike?

The support becomes worth in the community. They exchanged the support team. The old one was experienced. The new one is ok, but not as good as the old one. Cost cut? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Wrike solving and how is that benefiting you?

Wrikes slogan very well gives how we use it: "Wrike is the single source of truth."

This is the most important advantage: we have all tasks in Wrike. If you have this you have a very well overview: about all tasks, about the workload of peolple, about the status of projects. It works very well for multi project management then.

A little drwaback is the amount of work to impeent standard metrics for project management like burndown charts. You have to go into the programming of an analytics mode. But if you managed this it is a very powerful tool.

With Wrike we reduced our regularly coordination meetings by more than 50% (this is true if everybody is up to date in Wrike with all tasks compared to using multiple project plans in an offline project management environment).

Also the managers have now a very good overview of all their projects. If you implement the correct project structure in Wrike you can work with it starting from the bottom of the coworkers single task to the C-level view.

The workmanagement is one of the big benefits: all tasks are in Wrike and everything is reported in Wrike. So you fnd everything in a project in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Simple, Fast Diagramming for Clear Flowcharts and System Diagrams”
What do you like best about Whimsical?

I like how fast and simple it is. You can open it and start making a flowchart or wireframe in seconds. No setup, no confusion. The interface is clean and doesn’t feel heavy.

It’s really good for process flows. I use it when I need to explain how something works step by step. The diagrams look neat without putting in too much effort. Alignment and connectors are easy, so things don’t look messy.

Also, sharing with others is simple. Just send a link and people can view or edit. For quick collaboration, it works well.

For straightforward diagrams, it does exactly what you need without distractions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whimsical?

It feels a bit limited once work gets bigger. For small diagrams it’s perfect, but for larger planning or brainstorming sessions, the canvas feels restrictive.

It’s more of a diagram tool than a full collaboration space. When discussions go beyond flows into planning, tracking, or workshops, we had to use other tools.

Template options are also fewer compared to some other platforms, so sometimes we had to build layouts from scratch.

Basically great for simple visuals, but not ideal for large cross-team collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Whimsical solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps turn discussions into visuals quickly. When we talk about processes or system flows, people often understand differently. Drawing it out in Whimsical clears things up fast.

I use it during planning talks to map steps and decisions. It helps the team see the full picture instead of just hearing it.

It’s also helpful for sharing knowledge. A diagram is easier for someone new to understand than reading long notes.

So the main benefit is clarity and saving time on explanations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Simple task management that keeps our team on track”
What do you like best about Backlog?

Backlog has a clean and intuitive interface that makes it easy to manage tasks, bugs, and projects in one place. I especially like how issues, comments, and file attachments are organized clearly, which helps keep communication within the team efficient and transparent.

The task tracking system is simple but powerful, allowing me to quickly create, assign, and update tasks without confusion. Features like version control integration and progress tracking help improve workflow and keep everyone aligned.

Overall, Backlog improves productivity by reducing the need for multiple tools and making collaboration smoother on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Backlog?

There are a few things that could be improved based on my experience using Backlog. While the interface is generally clean, it sometimes feels a bit outdated and not as smooth or intuitive as some newer tools. Certain actions, like updating tasks or navigating between sections, can take more clicks than expected.

I’ve also noticed that performance can slow down when working with larger projects or a high number of tasks. Loading times are occasionally longer than expected, especially when switching between tabs or viewing detailed issue lists.

Another limitation is the lack of deeper customization. For example, it would be helpful to have more flexible dashboard options or ways to better organize tasks based on specific workflows.

Overall, these issues are not deal-breakers, but improving speed, reducing friction in navigation, and adding more customization would significantly enhance the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Backlog solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Backlog, we struggled with keeping tasks, bugs, and communication organized across multiple workflows. It was easy to lose track of updates, and we often had to switch between different tools to manage projects, which caused confusion and wasted time.

With Backlog, we can now manage tasks, bug tracking, and team communication in one place. This has made it much easier to stay organized and keep everyone aligned on project progress. Assigning tasks and tracking updates is more straightforward, which reduces miscommunication within the team.

As a result, we’ve been able to save time on coordination and improve overall workflow efficiency. It’s also easier to handle multiple projects at once without losing visibility, which is especially helpful when managing a large number of tasks or accounts.
