The biggest negatives about MaintainX are on the personnel training and industry specialization side. They lack appropriate internal project management/oversight - through the Sales process in particular - but really across the board. The brightest point is that ongoing support staff, who are very responsive and helpful, but ultimately tend to lack real, down-to-earth understanding of the end user groups they support and struggle to make those connections over time since they are not given planned, consistent opportunities for real-world experience. I hope they will grow here in the future.

By far the most negative experiences, however, are with the Sales team, and I would caution heavily to set clear expectations with any engagement. Related to their internal communication issues, they do not seem to have a wholistic awareness of their internal dependencies and will consistently promise things that they cannot deliver and then pass you to the implementation and ongoing support teams to resolve as best they can. The main area I’d like Xero to improve is the search feature. Right now, searching for specific transactions can be limited. I hope that in the future, Xero will enhance the search bar to include bank transaction details, so you can quickly find any specific transaction without extra steps. Sometimes, if there's a feature that doesn't work with NetSuite, it can take ages for them to address it with an enhancement because not a lot of customers may want it. The richness of the product requires more serious support from Acumatica that we seem to have difficulty accessing, at times. We currently use Acumatica as our VAR, and they have structural issues that have led to a negative experience. The transition from Sage 100 was initially painful, taking 3 years to convert. QuickBooks Online has deliberately removed the ability to print IRS-compliant 1099 forms with boxes, a feature that existed for years and is still required for many established workflows.

There is no technical limitation here — the data exists, but the form layout is intentionally suppressed to push users into paid e-filing. This forces businesses and accounting firms to either pay extra, manually re-enter data into IRS PDFs, or use third-party services.

This is a clear regression, not an improvement. It increases cost, wastes time, introduces error risk, and creates unnecessary compliance confusion. Removing core functionality to coerce add-on purchases undermines trust in the platform.

the ability to have everything in one place, prior to that, in order to pull all the correct "fees" from Amazon, that required a a A2X integration and subscription between Amazon and QB online. That was so much work and so many things went wrong all the time, and no one wants to waste time in marlaky. We also had a accountant on top of that, so it was just ridiculous, and that is the case for all e-commerce companies at scale. Finaloop completely solved that stomach turning issue. In terms of downsides, I honestly don’t have many. Limble has been solid for my workflow, and nothing stands out as a major negative. The only feature I find myself wishing for is the ability to print asset labels that include the last PM date, the next scheduled PM date, and basic asset information. Having labels like that would make it easy to update assets right at the time of service and keep info visible at a glance.
