Asset Tracking Software

Typically, Asset Tracking is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Asset Tracking Software.

Asset tracking software enables you to label or barcode equipment, manage assets throughout the entire lifecycle, track asset location and delivery status, and generate reports to determine performance analytics. Multiple tools are used to track assets across a variety of industries. Depending on several factors, companies can determine the asset management system that best aligns with goals and initiatives. Enterprise asset management (EAM) software enables administrators and other professionals to view, manage, and analyse physical assets. Using a holistic approach, it helps optimize management strategies by tracking the lifecycle of all company-owned assets. Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) offer similar functionality to EAM software, but focus solely on digital assets. It also helps users respond to planned or preventative maintenance work orders associated with facility assets. For IT professionals, Enterprise IT management suites serve as an infrastructure control center for IT departments in mid- to large-sized businesses.

“Intuitive RMM with top support and flexible monitoring tools”
What do you like best about NinjaOne?

For us, NinjaOne is currently the best RMM solution and also offers very solid monitoring. We are particularly impressed by the high customizability: The platform comes with almost all the necessary tools to easily implement even complex custom scripts, specific alerts, and queries.

The initial setup was extremely easy. The onboarding process was also targeted and absolutely smooth thanks to the support. Since we use NinjaOne almost 24/7, we greatly appreciate the intuitive user interface (GUI) and the ease of use – it makes our workday significantly easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NinjaOne?

There are only minor things that could be improved: I would like Python and PowerShell 7 to be directly supported in the future. Another point is the alarm management: Currently, the ability to actively 'acknowledge' alarms is missing, which would be very important for operational use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NinjaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?

NinjaOne brings structure to the often hectic daily routine of an IT service provider. It helps us massively in keeping an overview. Particularly valuable for us are the possibilities for automation and individual script solutions. Additionally, the clean classification and prioritization of alerts ensure that we can always focus on the essentials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Effortless Scheduling and Outstanding Support with MaintainX”
What do you like best about MaintainX?

Ease of use. After initial implemenation, it's been very easy to navigate through the system. The platform has been extremely helpful with scheduling not just PMs but also reactive jobs for my team.

Support from the MaintainX team has been phenominal, they are super responsive. Willing to help how they can and always friendly.

Lastly, I love how they are continuing to grow this platform and expand it to help meet the end-users needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MaintainX?

My only "negative" would be on us and not MaintainX. The system is originally designed for PM at a facility. We are using it for both PM and Reactive; and at this point we have WAY more reactive.

There were some intial modifications we had to do w/Maintain X to get over this small hump and they did a great job getting it us squared away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MaintainX solving and how is that benefiting you?

I've gone from 4-5 different spreadsheets, calendars and systems to now 2 to run our service department. It's been a tremendous aid with scheduling, making procedures, achiving manuals for machines. It's been a great asset in the few months that we've been using it.

I'm looking forward to really unleashing the potential we can have with this platform in 2026 to grow our service department! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great CMMS Platform For Most Applications”
What do you like best about Limble?

The user interface on desktop is excellent, making navigation straightforward. There is mobile support available for both iOS and Android, which adds flexibility. Setting up recurring tasks is simple and intuitive. I also appreciate the implementation of tracking parts and costs. Additionally, the ability to create follow-up work orders directly from within a planned task is very convenient. Built-in QR code support is great for item-specific tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Limble?

To fully utilize the data linking features with PMs, you need to set up assets and their relationships in a very specific manner. If this setup isn’t done properly, you might run into issues where any changes to PMs force you to manually re-establish all the data links, especially when a PM is intended to be associated with multiple assets.

The lack of GIS or mapping functionality also makes it challenging to manage certain assets, particularly when field workers are required to travel off-site.

Additionally, the task list can become quite unwieldy if you have many recurring tasks assigned simultaneously, such as quarterly or yearly inspections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Limble solving and how is that benefiting you?

This tool is helping us transition away from paper inspection reports for our quarterly and yearly inspections. It benefits us by simplifying the process of assigning these tasks, allowing us to easily track the specific data we need through reports and dashboards, and offering a user-friendly interface for our field users. What do you like best about Atera?

Altera allows us to efficiently scale and seamlessly implement our Managed IT Services for an unlimited number of clients and endpoints, making the process both simple and cost-effective. Regardless of whether a client operates in a legacy IT environment, uses cloud hosting, or relies on IoT, we are able to manage, update, migrate, and optimize their workloads by leveraging AI and automation. With Altera, we can offload tasks such as ticketing, customer support, and contract management, which lets us concentrate on value-added projects while having confidence that the systems remain well maintained. Altera also integrates with our SOC's Client Health Dashboard, giving us RMM client access, monitoring capabilities, and PSA policy enforcement. I recommend giving Altera a try—you’ll find it becomes an essential part of your daily operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Atera?

Atera does not assist with managing Cloud SaaS workloads or end-user licensing, which happens to be a key area of expertise for us as an MSP. However, Altera is integral in providing reports and compliance verification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Atera solving and how is that benefiting you?

Altera serves as a game enabler by automating many of the time-consuming, low-level support tasks. This allows us to dedicate more attention to higher-value customer services and project-based work. “A Practical Tool for Controlling Spend on the Plant Floor”
What do you like best about Coast?

As a Plant Manager, I’m constantly juggling maintenance needs, equipment repairs, safety supplies, and vendor runs that keep our production line moving. Coast has been helpful because it gives our maintenance leads and forklift supervisors the ability to make necessary purchases without slowing down workflows. I especially like the real-time visibility. When someone picks up a part or buys consumables for a line changeover, I see it immediately and can confirm it ties back to the work order. The mobile app is straightforward, and the card controls give me confidence that we’re staying within budget and not overspending on quick-turn items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coast?

The only friction point we ran into was during setup. Because a plant environment involves a lot of fast-moving tasks and different spending categories—parts, tooling, safety gear, emergency repairs—we had to adjust the default categories to fit how we run our operation. It wasn’t difficult, but it did take some trial and error. I’d also like richer reporting options that allow me to slice spending by shift or production line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Coast solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Coast, we relied heavily on shared cards or sending supervisors through a slow approval chain just to get basic parts or consumables. That created costly downtime when equipment needed something simple but no one had purchase authority. Coast solved that by giving each lead their own controlled card, letting them make plant-floor purchases immediately while still keeping everything accountable. Now I can track every expense down to the job, team, or line. It’s helped us reduce delays, tighten our monthly spend, and get a far clearer picture of where maintenance dollars are actually going. The biggest gain has been speed—Coast keeps our production lines running by cutting out needless paperwork and giving us clean, traceable spend control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The patching and security features are particularly helpful, ensuring our systems are always up-to-date and secure. I appreciate the options such as remote access, shutdown, and reboot, which make system management straightforward. Moreover, the group policy configuration streamlines administrative tasks effectively. The software deployment capability is a huge plus, as it simplifies the installation of essential programs like antivirus and endpoint protection software across the network. The initial setup process was smooth and uncomplicated, thanks to an intuitive installation package. These aspects collectively make ManageEngine Endpoint Central an indispensable tool for our IT management needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ManageEngine Endpoint Central?

I dislike the offline agent issues in ManageEngine Endpoint Central. Sometimes laptops appear to be offline, requiring a manual reboot to appear online. This is inconvenient and disrupts smooth operations, as the devices can't be managed remotely without intervention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Best Automation Tool: Simple effective and really user-friendly”
What do you like best about Tines?

What I like best about Tines is their incredible support team. They are always fast, helpful, and go above and beyond—at one point I even had a Zoom call with them to solve a specific issue. That level of personalized support really enhanced my experience with the tool. When I first started, I interacted with the support team almost daily, and they consistently provided quick, accurate solutions while also making sure I understood the reasoning behind them.

Another huge advantage of Tines is how much you can accomplish with minimal technical knowledge. Even though I have a computer science background, I find Tines to be much simpler and more effective than other tools I’ve used. It makes automating complex workflows straightforward and accessible, regardless of your skill level.

On top of that, Tines keeps getting better. They’ve integrated AI, which has significantly expanded what you can achieve with the platform. The team is constantly improving the product and rolling out new features, which makes it feel like you’re always working with a cutting-edge tool. This constant innovation, combined with its simplicity and powerful automation capabilities, is why Tines has become one of my absolute favorite platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines?

One of the things I dislike about Tines is that when working with run script events, I really miss having a more advanced integrated development environment (IDE). I understand that Tines is not intended to function as a traditional development tool, but having a more robust script editor would be very helpful when building more complex workflows. Features like autocomplete, more advanced syntax highlighting, or better error handling could significantly enhance the experience of writing and debugging code directly within the platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tines helps us solve the challenge of integrating various tools and platforms into one seamless workflow. We use Tines to connect our messaging platform with other tools, allowing us to centralize communications and actions. For example, we can create comments in external tools directly from our messaging platform, ensuring that everything stays in one place. Additionally, we automate task creation for our teams, assigning tasks through Tines by simply filling out a form. One of the biggest benefits is the ability to generate PDF reports from our tools automatically, eliminating the need for manual report creation.

Tines has also enabled us to integrate and automate workflows between tools that don't have native integrations. This flexibility has significantly improved our efficiency across multiple areas of our work, allowing us to streamline processes, reduce manual tasks, and improve overall productivity. What do you like best about eWorkOrders CMMS?

What I liked most about eWorkOrders is the outstanding customer service. Also the system is genuinely easy to navigate (no steep learning curve), and setting up automation and integrating API's was a breeze. Everything feels intuitive and actually saves us time instead of creating more work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eWorkOrders CMMS?

Honestly can’t think of any cons worth mentioning. It does exactly what we need and does it well. Great product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is eWorkOrders CMMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

eWorkOrders is solving our biggest headache: staying on top of preventive maintenance triggered by actual equipment runtime and downtime events.

We pull live runtime hours and alarm data from our facility automation system into eWorkOrders, so the system always knows exactly when a piece of equipment is due for service or when a fault occurs. Even though we still enter some corrective work orders manually, the runtime-based PMs and alarm-triggered notifications are automatic and 100% accurate.

The benefit is huge: no more guessing or spreadsheet tracking, PMs are never missed, technicians get instant alerts about downtime events, and we finally have reliable data showing how our equipment is really performing. It’s made our maintenance process far more proactive and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Versatility and Efficient Tracking with UpKeep”
What do you like best about UpKeep?

I like the versatility of UpKeep for data capture and ways to track activities. With the 'Request' or 'solicitudes' section, I can track and plan activities like projects, and the report capture is digital, which is an improvement compared to when it was done on paper. Additionally, I value the latest update that has allowed me to learn more about how to set up PM Triggers and how to modify and upload the W.O. to each user. I enjoy how UpKeep helps me reduce the time spent capturing reports and accurately track pending activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpKeep?

I don't like the topic of downloading W.O. in PDF format. I'm interested in downloading a large number of W.O., but if I select them, it puts them all in a single file and not individually. I also found the initial setup of UpKeep difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about AWS Systems Manager?

Since, Macie covers s3, cloudwatch covers VPC logs, Cloudtrail with api calls within services. There were some limitations within them. Since our infrastructure may be secure, but in case of defense in depth, we should always consider regular patching of EC2, identify unwanted softwares. Who and when it happened. All these should be logged for correlating purpose. System Manager with help of agents and aggregators shows the posture of an OS or an EC2 or running core. The integration is also very simple with other services to make sure security and compliance is in stand. Coming to patch manager, using playbooks were pretty easy and risk free as it could be triggered based on rules. Thanks for such a service. Downside is, Overall , in view of compliance sometimes PII uploaded to s3 can be identified with Macie. “Intuitive and User-Friendly Platform That Boosts Team Efficiency”
What do you like best about Fracttal One?

I like how Fracttal One is an easy-to-use and very intuitive platform. In addition, it facilitates a better description of activities and the monitoring of each task. This includes the addition of photographic records and screenshots, which contribute to a clearer understanding of what needs to be done.

What I found most important was the ease of viewing tasks and subtasks, organized in lists, which helps the team perform better in completing these activities. Overall, it's a very good tool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fracttal One?

At the moment, I have not identified any problems related to the platform's operation. The main difficulties observed are associated with operational errors, such as incorrect information entry or the closure of cases without the proper completion of processes, which can result in pending tasks. These situations are more related to the handling of the platform than to failures of the tool itself.

One example is the flow for adding images and attachments, which can only be done after the activity has been created. This procedure can cause some confusion for the user, especially if they forget to add the files after completing the task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The fact that Cryotos can be used seamlessly on both my phone and laptop adds a level of flexibility that I truly appreciate, especially in a mobile work environment. I love how the software allows me to edit and relocate items, which is particularly useful when our customers move equipment to other locations. This capability significantly streamlines our workflow by making it easier to prepare reports with updated location information. Additionally, the initial setup of Cryotos was very straightforward, and I really value that I no longer need to visit customers in person for signatures, which saves me a considerable amount of time. Overall, Cryotos addresses the two critical issues I faced before, and its mobile adaptability and ease of setup contribute to a highly efficient and enjoyable user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cryotos?

I find it frustrating that when I press 'submit', there is sometimes no response from the system, which interrupts the workflow. What I like best about IBM Maximo Application Suite is its robust asset management and maintenance planning capabilities. It provides a centralized platform to manage the full asset lifecycle — from acquisition to disposal — while also tracking maintenance history, work orders, and performance metrics.

Its ability to integrate maintenance with inventory management ensures that spare parts are available when needed, reducing equipment downtime. The automated work order scheduling and real-time tracking of tasks improve operational efficiency and help prioritize maintenance based on asset condition and criticality.

In short, Maximo helps drive predictive maintenance, extend asset life, and reduce costs — all of which are critical for a plant or facility environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Maximo Application Suite?

While IBM Maximo is a powerful tool, one thing I dislike is that the user interface can be complex and not very intuitive, especially for new or occasional users. “Improvement observations for software”
What do you like best about TRACTIAN?

That generates warnings in which the machine is not yet in a critical state, but notifies you to be able to perform a more detailed inspection with your vibration team to validate data and the physical condition of the machine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TRACTIAN?

That sometimes it is a bit tedious to know how to use the software. At times, I think it would be good to have a quick help manual within the platform for the procedures of the tools. This way, we can avoid having doubts and have everything at hand for the user who sees it daily and also needs to present a more technical report on the machine's status for presentation purposes in case of any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TRACTIAN solving and how is that benefiting you?

Well, it does not help to maintain the condition of the machine and avoid the stoppage of the process for the generation of the final product and save repair costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Highly recommended solution for asset management and inventory!”
What do you like best about Timly?

We have been using Timly for some time to manage our equipment, tools, and IT assets and are absolutely convinced. The software is clearly structured, easy to use, and saves us a lot of time in our daily routine. We find it particularly practical to be able to directly schedule inspection and maintenance appointments and keep track of them with reminders.

The support is also top-notch – quickly accessible, friendly, and solution-oriented. New features are regularly added, and you can tell that the team is actively working on further developments.

Overall, a modern, flexible tool that has brought order and transparency to our inventory management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timly?

With updates, the menu structure occasionally changes slightly – a brief note or changelog directly in the app would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timly solving and how is that benefiting you?

In the construction industry, Timly helps us primarily to finally keep track of all our tools, machines, and vehicles. In the past, it was often unclear where a particular device was, who was using it, or when an inspection or maintenance was due. With Timly, we now have all of this centrally in one place – with QR codes, clear responsibilities, and automatic reminders.

This saves us a lot of time, avoids duplicate purchases, and reduces discussions about missing or defective materials. Especially with multiple construction sites at the same time, this is a real game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Fabrico Makes Daily Maintenance Tasks Easier and More Organized”
What do you like best about Fabrico?

Fabrico is very straightforward and easy to use. Our maintenance team enjoys the mobile app, which allows them to scan QR codes on machines and instantly see maintenance history, manuals, and open work orders.

We also like how work orders can be assigned and tracked easily, and the dashboards give a clear view of downtime, MTTR, and OEE, helping us quickly identify recurring issues. Overall, it has made the daily workflow much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fabrico?

The initial setup of asset and parts data took some time, especially migrating from spreadsheets. Some custom reporting features could be more flexible, but these are minor issues compared to the overall functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Fabrico solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Fabrico, we struggled with manual logs and spreadsheets, which made tracking preventive maintenance and parts usage cumbersome. Now we can:

Schedule preventive maintenance efficiently

Reduce unplanned downtime by around 30%

Track spare parts and inventory accurately

Improve accountability and communication between teams

It has greatly simplified daily maintenance management and improved our overall plant reliability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
