Asset Tracking Software

Typically, Asset Tracking is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Asset Tracking Software.

Asset tracking software enables you to label or barcode equipment, manage assets throughout the entire lifecycle, track asset location and delivery status, and generate reports to determine performance analytics. Multiple tools are used to track assets across a variety of industries. Depending on several factors, companies can determine the asset management system that best aligns with goals and initiatives. Enterprise asset management (EAM) software enables administrators and other professionals to view, manage, and analyse physical assets. Using a holistic approach, it helps optimize management strategies by tracking the lifecycle of all company-owned assets. Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) offer similar functionality to EAM software, but focus solely on digital assets. It also helps users respond to planned or preventative maintenance work orders associated with facility assets. For IT professionals, Enterprise IT management suites serve as an infrastructure control center for IT departments in mid- to large-sized businesses.

“Versatile, Easy-to-Use Endpoint Management with Top-Notch Support”
What do you like best about NinjaOne?

NinjaOne is incredibly versatile and easy to setup & use. It also gives us the piece of mind in knowing that we have all the tools we need to support our endpoints. The script library, patching, and remote assistance tools all perform great, and their customer support is also top-notch. The built-in integrations with SSO and other products like DUO are super convenient and easy to setup. The FedRAMP version was also surprisingly affordable compared to some of the other products we looked at. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a solution like NinjaOne. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NinjaOne?

The differences between the FedRAMP version and the regular version of NinjaOne has caused some confusion in the past when looking at documentation, but that also goes with the territory for all FedRAMP products, and no one is immune to it. After pointing out those shortcomings, NinjaOne has done a great job of addressing the issue and taking steps to correct it. I have no outstanding complaints regarding the product at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Helping Transform Maintenance from Reactive to Proactive”
What do you like best about MaintainX?

What I like most about MaintainX is its flexibility. We've been able to build and standardize hundreds of preventive maintenance procedures across our facility while giving technicians a simple way to document inspections and identify issues. The ability to track corrective actions, review asset history, attach photos, and generate reports has improved visibility into our maintenance program. It has become a valuable tool for planning, execution, and continuous improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MaintainX?

My biggest challenge with MaintainX is the amount of administrative effort required when making large-scale changes. When you're managing hundreds of procedures, assets, and PMs, bulk editing and mass updates become very important. Reporting has improved significantly, but there is still room to make audits, planning, and data analysis easier to manage. Overall, the platform continues to improve, and many of the challenges are related to scale rather than day-to-day usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MaintainX solving and how is that benefiting you?

MaintainX is helping us standardize maintenance practices across our facility while providing better visibility into asset condition and work execution. The platform allows us to track preventive maintenance completion, corrective actions, inspections, and equipment history in a single location. This has improved consistency, documentation quality, and accountability while reducing the administrative effort required to manage a large maintenance program. The reporting tools also help us identify opportunities for improvement and make more informed maintenance decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Atera?

The ticket section saves a lot of time thanks to automations. The WhatsApp integration is quite useful and the interface is very intuitive and original. Additionally, with the daily, weekly, and monthly reports, a lot of time is also saved, which increases productivity and performance in other areas. Atera's support has helped us a lot in various sections, especially in asset inventory. As for the price, it is totally worth it for what it offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Atera?

I don't see any disadvantages to using Atera; for me, it's all advantages: greater efficiency and better performance, all thanks to AI. The only thing I don't quite like is the SNMP section, because I feel it still needs improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Strong Support For Service Sales And Maintenance Account Planning”
What do you like best about Zapium?

Zapium helps me connect customer service requirements with commercial follow-up. When a service visit, inspection, breakdown observation, or maintenance recommendation is recorded, I can use that information to plan the next discussion with the customer. It gives better context for proposing maintenance work, spare replacement, additional service visits, or long-term support contracts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zapium?

The sales view can be improved with more account-level summaries, such as open service recommendations, quotation stage, expected closure month, and customer-wise maintenance potential in one screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zapium solving and how is that benefiting you?

Zapium helps convert service information into structured sales action. Instead of depending only on memory, calls, or scattered notes, I can refer to actual service records and inspection observations while following up with customers. This improves the quality of maintenance discussions, makes proposals more relevant, and helps account managers coordinate better with service and operations teams. The product is simple to use and easy to learn. The different support options are great - from online support, to resource articles and the Customer Success managers are great resources! Our CSM meets with me regularly and when I email, I get a response very quickly! While there are some minor improvements I feel could be helpful to the product, overall I am very satisfied with our choice and look forward to learning more as we progress on our Limble journey! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Limble?

I would say my biggest dislike would be the set up of the Corrective Maintenance tasks. I would prefer to be able to have one common instruction set to map to many different PM instruction sets. “Simplifying Enterprise Patch Management with Test-and-Approve Workflows and Automation”
What do you like best about ManageEngine Endpoint Central?

What I like most about ManageEngine Endpoint Central is the flexibility of the patch management solution. It allows us to implement structured test-and-approve workflows, automate deployments using maintenance windows, manage both Microsoft and third-party updates, and track compliance through detailed reports. The platform combines many endpoint management functions in a single product, including software deployment, remote support, OS deployment, BitLocker management, and asset inventory, which simplifies daily operations and reduces the need for multiple tools. The product is reliable, easy to maintain, and provides the level of automation required to manage large enterprise environments efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ManageEngine Endpoint Central?

The product is feature-rich, but some advanced configurations can be complex for new administrators. Certain areas of the interface could be more streamlined, and troubleshooting patch deployment or policy-related issues sometimes requires navigating through multiple menus and logs. Custom reporting and dashboard creation could also be more intuitive. Overall, these are usability improvements rather than functional limitations, as the platform provides the necessary capabilities once configured properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ManageEngine Endpoint Central solving and how is that benefiting you?

ManageEngine Endpoint Central helps us standardize and automate patch management across our organization. It allows us to test, approve, and deploy Microsoft and third-party updates in a controlled manner while tracking compliance through centralized dashboards and reports. The platform also simplifies software deployment, remote troubleshooting, asset inventory, and endpoint configuration management. As a result, we have reduced manual effort, improved patch compliance, increased endpoint visibility, and strengthened our overall security posture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Ticket-to-Email Integration and Easy Customization”
What do you like best about ServiceNow IT Operations Management?

Helps refine the dashboard for individual team and the level of data customization is easier for every individual user with how the solution works. My best liking part is about the seamless integration of ticket to the user emails and how fast the responses are. I have personally worked on ServiceNow and handled tickets and I hope new AI platform enables easier ticket resolutions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow IT Operations Management?

Continuous email chains and unresponsive customers around ITOM. ServiceNow ITOM is often criticized for its astronomical licensing costs and the extreme complexity of implementation, which typically requires highly specialized (and expensive) expertise to deploy and maintain. Organizations also frequently struggle with heavy technical debt when biannual platform upgrades break custom discovery patterns, along with CMDB data bloat and noticeable system latency if the environment isn’t meticulously governed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ServiceNow IT Operations Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

ServiceNow ITOM helps turn chaotic, multi-cloud infrastructure into a more proactive digital operation for global media organisations such as News Corp and Dow Jones. By addressing infrastructure blindness and reducing alert fatigue with AIOps-driven root-cause analysis, the platform helps protect digital subscription and advertising revenue for high-profile brands like The Wall Street Journal by preventing critical downtime. It also brings multi-cloud sprawl under control across their large global cloud footprints, consolidating international IT workflows into a single, automated system of record. “Unified Observability and Automation That Streamlines IT Operations”
What do you like best about OpsRamp?

What I like best about OpsRamp is its unified observability and IT operations management approach. Instead of using multiple disconnected tools for monitoring, alerting, automation, and incident management, OpsRamp brings these capabilities together on a single platform. This helps organizations gain better visibility into their infrastructure and applications, reduce operational complexity, and respond to issues more efficiently. I also appreciate its strong automation capabilities, which help minimize manual effort and improve overall operational reliability. As someone interested in observability and infrastructure monitoring, I find OpsRamp's focus on proactive issue detection and intelligent operations particularly valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpsRamp?

While OpsRamp is a powerful platform, one area that could be improved is the learning curve for new users. Because it offers a wide range of monitoring, automation, and IT operations capabilities, it can take some time for teams to fully understand and utilize all its features effectively. Additionally, initial configuration and customization may require careful planning, especially in complex enterprise environments. However, these challenges are common with comprehensive enterprise observability and IT operations platforms, and the benefits generally outweigh the initial effort required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

For me, the biggest benefit is improved visibility and faster issue resolution. By consolidating monitoring data into a single pane of glass, OpsRamp helps identify problems proactively before they impact users. Its automation capabilities also reduce repetitive operational tasks, allowing teams to focus on higher-value work. This leads to improved system reliability, reduced downtime, and more efficient IT operations. As someone working in observability and infrastructure monitoring, having a unified latform helps simplify troubleshooting enhances overall operational efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Red Hat Smart Management?

Red Hat Smart Management exhibits strong integration with Red Hat products, which may pose challenges if considering a transition to alternative vendors down the road. Additionally, apart from these overarching concerns, a number of users have expressed criticisms about specific aspects of Red Hat Smart Management:

1.Navigating and utilizing the reporting system can be somewhat challenging. 2.While capable, the performance monitoring features may not match the robustness found in some competing products.

3.The support for non-Red Hat systems is somewhat limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Red Hat Smart Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Improved security: Red Hat Smart Management can help organizations to improve their security posture by providing a centralized view of all RHEL systems and by automating patch management.

Increased compliance: Red Hat Smart Management can help organizations to comply with industry regulations by providing compliance reporting capabilities.

Improved performance and reliability: Red Hat Smart Management can help organizations to improve the performance and reliability of their RHEL environments by providing performance monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Simplicity in managing Tickets, Inventory, and outstanding customer support.

We have reached out to Genuity multiple times with suggestions, and they have listened and even implemented one of the suggestions.

The price, for what you get, is by far the best on the market.

We've never seen one single issue with their service being down. They are constantly up and perform well.

We also really like their GUI. It's clean, easy for us to use, and incredibly simple for teachers and staff to submit tickets.

The integration with our district Chromebooks and MacBooks was super simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eWorkOrders CMMS?

Honestly can’t think of any cons worth mentioning. It does exactly what we need and does it well. Great product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is eWorkOrders CMMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

eWorkOrders is solving our biggest headache: staying on top of preventive maintenance triggered by actual equipment runtime and downtime events.

We pull live runtime hours and alarm data from our facility automation system into eWorkOrders, so the system always knows exactly when a piece of equipment is due for service or when a fault occurs. Even though we still enter some corrective work orders manually, the runtime-based PMs and alarm-triggered notifications are automatic and 100% accurate.

The benefit is huge: no more guessing or spreadsheet tracking, PMs are never missed, technicians get instant alerts about downtime events, and we finally have reliable data showing how our equipment is really performing. It’s made our maintenance process far more proactive and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Very important and appropriate solution for our AWS cloud Environment”
What do you like best about AWS Systems Manager?

Since, Macie covers s3, cloudwatch covers VPC logs, Cloudtrail with api calls within services. There were some limitations within them. Since our infrastructure may be secure, but in case of defense in depth, we should always consider regular patching of EC2, identify unwanted softwares. Who and when it happened. All these should be logged for correlating purpose. System Manager with help of agents and aggregators shows the posture of an OS or an EC2 or running core. The integration is also very simple with other services to make sure security and compliance is in stand. Coming to patch manager, using playbooks were pretty easy and risk free as it could be triggered based on rules. Thanks for such a service. Implementation and support are always available from docs, whitepapers, community etc, . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Systems Manager?

Downside is, Overall , in view of compliance sometimes PII uploaded to s3 can be identified with Macie. But when its an image or pdf containing photo copies of such personal sensitive information its hard to identify. It might be stored on the ec2 or s3. But figuring out it is complex. Before MapTrack, using a WhatsApp group for managing assets was unmanageable, but now I can keep track of asset testing, tagging, service scheduling, and repairs effectively. I find it really beneficial that with MapTrack, our team knows equipment availability for scheduling work with multiple users. “OpManager Nexus: Unified, User-Friendly Monitoring with Fast Alerts and Smart Automation”
What do you like best about OpManager Nexus?

What I like best about OpManager Nexus is that it brings network and infrastructure monitoring into one clear, user-friendly platform. The interface is well organised, making it easier to view device health, alerts, performance trends, and potential problems without switching between multiple screens. Its integrations help connect different parts of the IT environment, while the monitoring performance is reliable and alerts are delivered quickly. From a pricing and return-on-investment perspective, it can reduce troubleshooting time and improve team productivity by helping administrators identify issues before they become serious. The onboarding process is manageable, and the available support and documentation make configuration easier. I also appreciate the intelligent monitoring and automation capabilities, which help prioritise alerts, reduce repetitive work, and support faster decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpManager Nexus?

What I dislike about OpManager Nexus is that the initial setup and configuration can feel complex, especially when adding many devices, integrations, and custom monitoring rules. The interface contains a lot of information, so new users may need time to understand the dashboards and navigation. Performance can also depend on the size of the environment and how well the system is configured. Some advanced features may require additional licensing, which can increase the overall cost. Although the documentation is helpful, more guided onboarding and simpler explanations of the AI-driven insights would improve the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpManager Nexus solving and how is that benefiting you?

OpManager Nexus helps solve the problem of managing multiple network devices, servers, applications, and alerts across different tools. It gives me one central place to monitor performance, identify outages, and investigate issues before they seriously affect users. Real-time alerts and performance reports reduce the time spent manually checking systems, while automation helps minimise repetitive monitoring tasks. This has improved response times, reduced downtime, and made it easier to prioritise critical problems and use IT resources more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Clear, intuitive, and with outstanding support – Timly is absolutely recommendable”
What do you like best about Timly?

Timly is clearly and intuitively designed. This makes it very easy to use even for beginners. The performance of the software is absolutely sufficient and detailed for us as a medium-sized youth welfare association. The pricing is fair and the support is outstanding. We were helped very promptly several times with small understanding problems. Absolutely recommendable! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timly?

We would have liked to have the PDF format when uploading the product images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timly solving and how is that benefiting you?

Timly was the ideal software for us to document goods receipt. In our sector, it is important to know where things are located and who authorized their transfer. The clarity is particularly noteworthy. Warranty services or inspection dates can also be entered for items like fire extinguishers or smoke detectors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Powerful Ticketing, SLAs, Automations, and Analytics That Boost Agent Organization”
What do you like best about Freshservice?

Ticket categories, Service Request, SLAs, Automator Flow, Analytics/Dashboard module, among others, greatly helped for greater agent organization, time management and Admin monitoring. It could be a little faster on the loading times, but the functionality makes up for it.

Pricing can be steep the more agents onboard, but the support and Ai tools offered can be a plus if needed.

API endpoint integrations also helps, along with the client portal allowing code customization for better visuals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Freshservice?

It could be a little faster on the loading times for pages/modules

Pricing can be steep the more agents onboard, also for Ai tools.

Analitycs module can be VERY lacking in customizations sometimes, compared to Power BI for example.

Visuals can be cluttered sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
