Asset Tracking Software

Typically, Asset Tracking is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Asset Tracking Software.

Asset tracking software enables you to label or barcode equipment, manage assets throughout the entire lifecycle, track asset location and delivery status, and generate reports to determine performance analytics. Multiple tools are used to track assets across a variety of industries. Depending on several factors, companies can determine the asset management system that best aligns with goals and initiatives. Enterprise asset management (EAM) software enables administrators and other professionals to view, manage, and analyse physical assets. Using a holistic approach, it helps optimize management strategies by tracking the lifecycle of all company-owned assets. Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) offer similar functionality to EAM software, but focus solely on digital assets. It also helps users respond to planned or preventative maintenance work orders associated with facility assets. For IT professionals, Enterprise IT management suites serve as an infrastructure control center for IT departments in mid- to large-sized businesses.

“Revolutionalised Our Workflows”
What do you like best about NinjaOne?

Automations work as expected, patching (software and OS) is reliable, Ninja Remote is easy to use for both us and end user, remote powershell/cmd works well too. (There's now even background remote so we can log on and view event viewer for example without disturbing end user). NinjaOne is very easy to set up, customer service is fantastic and I often hear from my account manager who wants to check in with us. Active Discord community where both other customers and NinjaOne staff are on hand to assist.

I like how I can see everything in one portal and that they are always adding new features. Even better is we can SSO onto the platform and it supports passkeys!

We are using it for documentation and our IT knowledge base and it is good to have everything in one place for our techs.

I have recently started testing backups with my NAS and this was so easy to set up, I am speechless! We use it to backup our servers too and even doing an image back up lets us go on and download individual documents for when a user has 'misplaced' something and we don't want to do a full server recovery. Although it does let us do a full recovery too easily using the tool that NinjaOne provide. That has worked well with our vSphere environment and provided a full server image recovery.

I use NinjaOne every day and I honestly would be lost without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NinjaOne?

Devices that are offline are shown as unhealthy on the dashboard which I would prefer to not be included in the statistics. It does let me customise other health information though which is good.

I wish I could run patching/scripts on a scheduled basis if its missed, I think this is an upcoming feature.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NinjaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?

OS and Software patching and showing at a glance which devices this has failed on, and most importantly for us being able to automate scripts on devices which helps us keep other aspects of the workstations up to date.

I also now have it monitoring my online servers as an uptime monitor to see if they are offline so I can find out before my users tell me.

It is also providing us with backups and I can quickly access them via NinjaOne to download a file a user has mistakenly deleted. There is also an option to do a full image restore which we have been able to do when transferring a broken workstation into a virtual machine which is something we would not have been able to easily do before NinjaOne.

We also use it for MDM to ensure that company owned iPhones are being updated and we can remote wipe them and change passcodes if users forget them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Clear Asset Visibility and KPI Tracking That Boosts Daily Efficiency”
What do you like best about MaintainX?

Maintenance systems help me manage daily priorities by giving clear visibility into assets, people, and performance. They allow me to track KPIs, verify preventive maintenance completion, and make informed business decisions instead of reactive ones. Having everything organized in one place has made my role significantly more efficient — improving accountability, planning, and overall operational control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MaintainX?

My biggest frustrations are around recording consistency and mobile functionality. I rely heavily on accurate data to manage KPIs and asset health, and right now the recording side could be stronger. Also, the mobile app doesn’t always show the same information as the desktop version, which limits how effective I can be when I’m out with the team instead of at my desk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MaintainX solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest value Maintainx brings to our operation is clear, concise visibility into our assets, preventive maintenance, work orders, and daily task management. It allows us to accurately track labor time, improve accountability, and establish structured guidelines that help our team complete projects more efficiently and consistently. “Operational Integrity Meets Security Compliance”
What do you like best about Coast?

As a security leader, what I value most about Coast is its unparalleled ability to create a single, auditable, and real-time system of record for all physical and digital asset maintenance, which directly translates into enhanced security posture by eliminating undocumented, ad-hoc work and providing immutable proof of compliance for critical security controls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coast?

The platform's initial integration with our existing IT Service Management (ITSM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems required more custom API development and mapping effort than anticipated, creating a temporary but significant overhead for my team to achieve the seamless bidirectional data flow we needed for holistic security monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Coast solving and how is that benefiting you?

Coast is fundamentally solving our problem of "security through obscurity" in operational technology (OT) and facility management by providing the mandatory documentation, automated audit trails, and enforced procedure adherence required to prove the integrity of physical security systems (like access controls, surveillance, and environmental alarms), directly supporting our compliance with frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. “Limble CMMS Streamlines Preventive Maintenance with Exceptional Support”
What do you like best about Limble?

What stands out most to me about Limble CMMS is how much it simplifies and strengthens our preventive maintenance process. It removes a lot of the human error that typically comes with manual tracking and makes it significantly easier to manage assets and stay on top of PM schedules.

Implementation was straightforward, and the support from the Limble team has been exceptional. They’re consistently responsive, every time I’ve reached out, I’ve received immediate, helpful answers. Their reliability and attentiveness make a huge difference in day‑to‑day operations.

Overall, Limble CMMS has made maintenance more efficient, more accurate, and far easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Limble?

In terms of downsides, I honestly don’t have many. Limble has been solid for my workflow, and nothing stands out as a major negative. The only feature I find myself wishing for is the ability to print asset labels that include the last PM date, the next scheduled PM date, and basic asset information. Having labels like that would make it easy to update assets right at the time of service and keep info visible at a glance.

Aside from that missing feature, I haven’t run into any real issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Limble solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Reduces Human Error:

Limble takes a lot of manual guesswork out of maintenance tasks. By automating schedules, reminders, and documentation, it significantly cuts down on mistakes that happen with paper logs or scattered spreadsheets.

2. Improves Preventive Maintenance Execution:

Preventive maintenance becomes easier and more consistent. Limble ensures tasks are completed on time, tracked properly, and documented without relying on memory or informal communication.

3. Simplifies Asset Tracking:

It centralizes and organizes asset information, making it easy to see history, status, and maintenance requirements all in one place. This keeps technicians aligned and eliminates confusion about what needs to be serviced.

4. Keeps PM Schedules Accurate and Up to Date:

Instead of manually updating service intervals or trying to remember when something was last maintained, Limble automatically manages and displays upcoming PMs, helping prevent overdue work and unexpected breakdowns.

5. Provides Reliable, Fast Support During Implementation and Daily Use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“All-in-One Device Management, Inventory, and Ticketing Made Easy”
What do you like best about Atera?

I’m a big fan of how this tool handles everything from inventory to ticketing in a single dashboard. The interface is easy to get around, and their support is super-fast. It’s been great for monitoring our fleet and pushing out app updates. The standout feature for me is the direct command prompt access—it makes troubleshooting DNS issues and finding IP addresses way faster than doing it manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Atera?

The app management tool is great, but it would be even better with more transparency during the install process. A progress bar and ETA for each app would help us manage our time better. Also, since many updates require a restart, having the ability to automatically schedule a reboot for right after the install finishes would be a huge lifesaver for our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Atera solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing hardware and app issues is much faster now that everything is under one roof. We can check disk space, memory, and IP info at a glance, which saves a ton of time. The remote desktop integrations (AnyDesk/Splashtop) are rock solid, and being able to store login info for dedicated machines makes supporting our power users a breeze. What do you like best about Cryotos?

I like Cryotos because it is easy to use, helps in quickly creating and closing work orders, and provides real‑time tracking of maintenance activities. It reduces paperwork, improves coordination, and makes it easier to monitor pending and completed tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cryotos?

I find Cyrtos a little hard to understand, especially during daily use. The analysis of equipment is difficult, and there is no proper bifurcation or clear categorization of equipment. This makes tracking and reviewing asset-wise issues more time‑consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cryotos solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cryotos helps by streamlining maintenance work, reducing manual follow-up, and improving visibility of ongoing tasks. It solves problems like delays, miscommunication, and lack of proper tracking. “Versatility and Efficient Tracking with UpKeep”
What do you like best about UpKeep?

I like the versatility of UpKeep for data capture and ways to track activities. With the 'Request' or 'solicitudes' section, I can track and plan activities like projects, and the report capture is digital, which is an improvement compared to when it was done on paper. Additionally, I value the latest update that has allowed me to learn more about how to set up PM Triggers and how to modify and upload the W.O. to each user. I enjoy how UpKeep helps me reduce the time spent capturing reports and accurately track pending activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UpKeep?

I don't like the topic of downloading W.O. in PDF format. I'm interested in downloading a large number of W.O., but if I select them, it puts them all in a single file and not individually. I also found the initial setup of UpKeep difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UpKeep solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use UpKeep for precise tracking of activities and to reduce the time spent on report capturing. I like its versatility for capturing data and planning projects, especially tracking requests. “Best Automation Tool: Simple effective and really user-friendly”
What do you like best about Tines?

What I like best about Tines is their incredible support team. They are always fast, helpful, and go above and beyond—at one point I even had a Zoom call with them to solve a specific issue. That level of personalized support really enhanced my experience with the tool. When I first started, I interacted with the support team almost daily, and they consistently provided quick, accurate solutions while also making sure I understood the reasoning behind them.

Another huge advantage of Tines is how much you can accomplish with minimal technical knowledge. Even though I have a computer science background, I find Tines to be much simpler and more effective than other tools I’ve used. It makes automating complex workflows straightforward and accessible, regardless of your skill level.

On top of that, Tines keeps getting better. They’ve integrated AI, which has significantly expanded what you can achieve with the platform. The team is constantly improving the product and rolling out new features, which makes it feel like you’re always working with a cutting-edge tool. This constant innovation, combined with its simplicity and powerful automation capabilities, is why Tines has become one of my absolute favorite platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines?

One of the things I dislike about Tines is that when working with run script events, I really miss having a more advanced integrated development environment (IDE). I understand that Tines is not intended to function as a traditional development tool, but having a more robust script editor would be very helpful when building more complex workflows. Features like autocomplete, more advanced syntax highlighting, or better error handling could significantly enhance the experience of writing and debugging code directly within the platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tines helps us solve the challenge of integrating various tools and platforms into one seamless workflow. We use Tines to connect our messaging platform with other tools, allowing us to centralize communications and actions. For example, we can create comments in external tools directly from our messaging platform, ensuring that everything stays in one place. Additionally, we automate task creation for our teams, assigning tasks through Tines by simply filling out a form. One of the biggest benefits is the ability to generate PDF reports from our tools automatically, eliminating the need for manual report creation.

Tines has also enabled us to integrate and automate workflows between tools that don't have native integrations. This flexibility has significantly improved our efficiency across multiple areas of our work, allowing us to streamline processes, reduce manual tasks, and improve overall productivity. “Very important and appropriate solution for our AWS cloud Environment”
What do you like best about AWS Systems Manager?

Since, Macie covers s3, cloudwatch covers VPC logs, Cloudtrail with api calls within services. There were some limitations within them. Since our infrastructure may be secure, but in case of defense in depth, we should always consider regular patching of EC2, identify unwanted softwares. Who and when it happened. All these should be logged for correlating purpose. System Manager with help of agents and aggregators shows the posture of an OS or an EC2 or running core. The integration is also very simple with other services to make sure security and compliance is in stand. Coming to patch manager, using playbooks were pretty easy and risk free as it could be triggered based on rules. Thanks for such a service. Implementation and support are always available from docs, whitepapers, community etc, . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Systems Manager?

Downside is, Overall , in view of compliance sometimes PII uploaded to s3 can be identified with Macie. But when its an image or pdf containing photo copies of such personal sensitive information its hard to identify. It might be stored on the ec2 or s3. But figuring out it is complex. “Intuitive and User-Friendly Platform That Boosts Team Efficiency”
What do you like best about Fracttal One?

I like how Fracttal One is an easy-to-use and very intuitive platform. In addition, it facilitates a better description of activities and the monitoring of each task. This includes the addition of photographic records and screenshots, which contribute to a clearer understanding of what needs to be done.

What I found most important was the ease of viewing tasks and subtasks, organized in lists, which helps the team perform better in completing these activities. Overall, it's a very good tool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fracttal One?

At the moment, I have not identified any problems related to the platform's operation. The main difficulties observed are associated with operational errors, such as incorrect information entry or the closure of cases without the proper completion of processes, which can result in pending tasks. These situations are more related to the handling of the platform than to failures of the tool itself.

One example is the flow for adding images and attachments, which can only be done after the activity has been created. This procedure can cause some confusion for the user, especially if they forget to add the files after completing the task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Fracttal One solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about eWorkOrders CMMS?

What I liked most about eWorkOrders is the outstanding customer service. Also the system is genuinely easy to navigate (no steep learning curve), and setting up automation and integrating API's was a breeze. Everything feels intuitive and actually saves us time instead of creating more work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about eWorkOrders CMMS?

Honestly can’t think of any cons worth mentioning. It does exactly what we need and does it well. Great product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is eWorkOrders CMMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

eWorkOrders is solving our biggest headache: staying on top of preventive maintenance triggered by actual equipment runtime and downtime events.

We pull live runtime hours and alarm data from our facility automation system into eWorkOrders, so the system always knows exactly when a piece of equipment is due for service or when a fault occurs. Even though we still enter some corrective work orders manually, the runtime-based PMs and alarm-triggered notifications are automatic and 100% accurate.

The benefit is huge: no more guessing or spreadsheet tracking, PMs are never missed, technicians get instant alerts about downtime events, and we finally have reliable data showing how our equipment is really performing. It’s made our maintenance process far more proactive and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Comprehensive Solution for Inventory Management”
What do you like best about IBM Maximo Application Suite?

What I like best about IBM Maximo Application Suite is its robust asset management and maintenance planning capabilities. It provides a centralized platform to manage the full asset lifecycle — from acquisition to disposal — while also tracking maintenance history, work orders, and performance metrics.

Its ability to integrate maintenance with inventory management ensures that spare parts are available when needed, reducing equipment downtime. The automated work order scheduling and real-time tracking of tasks improve operational efficiency and help prioritize maintenance based on asset condition and criticality.

In short, Maximo helps drive predictive maintenance, extend asset life, and reduce costs — all of which are critical for a plant or facility environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Maximo Application Suite?

While IBM Maximo is a powerful tool, one thing I dislike is that the user interface can be complex and not very intuitive, especially for new or occasional users. It often requires multiple clicks to complete basic tasks, and without proper training, navigating between modules can be overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Maximo Application Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?

IBM Maximo Application Suite solves key challenges in inventory coordination. It helps track spare parts usage and ensure the right spare parts are available when needed.

“Effortless Azure Integration with Powerful Features and Cost Savings”
What do you like best about Nerdio Manager?

Adds additional features to (in our case) Azure Environments. easy to understand and enables a repeatable process. Simple integration into existing environments or setup into new environments.

Great savings generated when non 24x7 type of resources are setup. Single pane of glass to view multiple Azure environments that utilize host pools, azure files, servers and networking.

Integrations with multiple identity platforms (even on-prem) for various use cases.

Support is great and helpful. Implementation is quick and simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?

If not configured correctly, settings applied through Nerdio may conflict with scripts, registry entries, Group Policy Objects, or other policies. While this is largely a user-related issue, having visibility into any downstream overrides would be an extremely useful feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nerdio Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nerdio offers robust yet straightforward configuration options for auto-scaling, which help boost performance and lower costs. The intuitive tools make it easy to automatically stop and start resources that aren't needed around the clock, using different demand criteria. In our experience, this has led to Azure cost reductions ranging from 15% to as much as 80%, depending on the specific use case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A Great Team with Powerful Software”
What do you like best about TRACTIAN?

I really appreciate the people working at TRACTIAN. Our Project Manager is respectful and committed to helping us achieve our goals. The technician who handled the installation was professional, well-prepared, and adaptive to our plant's situation. Our sales rep has been focused on ensuring we receive true value. I also find the dashboards increasingly useful; they let us display the statistics we need in the format we want. The dashboard's ability to consolidate machine information in one spot with an easy tool to set time periods is very powerful, especially for tracking running time and total cycles. Creating a page for machine cycle counts reduced friction in our process significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TRACTIAN?

Our implementation process was a little slow. The manufacturing processes we use have a complex cycle that took some experimentation to successfully capture and this process took a while. During this time I think our efforts lost a little bit of focus and a few more 'side-objectives' were pursued rather than trying to complete the main goals of the project first. The physical implementation on our production machines was more difficult, and required multiple visits by the TRACTIAN team to resolve all issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TRACTIAN solving and how is that benefiting you?

TRACTIAN provides the OEE implementation solution we needed across various machines, with customizable digital platform features. The dashboards make it easy to view all relevant stats at a glance, especially running time and total cycles, reducing implementation friction significantly. “Highly recommended solution for asset management and inventory!”
What do you like best about Timly?

We have been using Timly for some time to manage our equipment, tools, and IT assets and are absolutely convinced. The software is clearly structured, easy to use, and saves us a lot of time in our daily routine. We find it particularly practical to be able to directly schedule inspection and maintenance appointments and keep track of them with reminders.

The support is also top-notch – quickly accessible, friendly, and solution-oriented. New features are regularly added, and you can tell that the team is actively working on further developments.

Overall, a modern, flexible tool that has brought order and transparency to our inventory management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timly?

With updates, the menu structure occasionally changes slightly – a brief note or changelog directly in the app would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Timly solving and how is that benefiting you?

In the construction industry, Timly helps us primarily to finally keep track of all our tools, machines, and vehicles. In the past, it was often unclear where a particular device was, who was using it, or when an inspection or maintenance was due. With Timly, we now have all of this centrally in one place – with QR codes, clear responsibilities, and automatic reminders.

This saves us a lot of time, avoids duplicate purchases, and reduces discussions about missing or defective materials. Especially with multiple construction sites at the same time, this is a real game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
