## OpsRamp Reviews
  ### 1. Unified Observability and Automation That Streamlines IT Operations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ambuj P. | SCCM Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2026

**What do you like best about OpsRamp?**

What I like best about OpsRamp is its unified observability and IT operations management approach. Instead of using multiple disconnected tools for monitoring, alerting, automation, and incident management, OpsRamp brings these capabilities together on a single platform. This helps organizations gain better visibility into their infrastructure and applications, reduce operational complexity, and respond to issues more efficiently. I also appreciate its strong automation capabilities, which help minimize manual effort and improve overall operational reliability. As someone interested in observability and infrastructure monitoring, I find OpsRamp's focus on proactive issue detection and intelligent operations particularly valuable.

**What do you dislike about OpsRamp?**

While OpsRamp is a powerful platform, one area that could be improved is the learning curve for new users. Because it offers a wide range of monitoring, automation, and IT operations capabilities, it can take some time for teams to fully understand and utilize all its features effectively. Additionally, initial configuration and customization may require careful planning, especially in complex enterprise environments. However, these challenges are common with comprehensive enterprise observability and IT operations platforms, and the benefits generally outweigh the initial effort required.

**What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the biggest benefit is improved visibility and faster issue resolution. By consolidating monitoring data into a single pane of glass, OpsRamp helps identify problems proactively before they impact users. Its automation capabilities also reduce repetitive operational tasks, allowing teams to focus on higher-value work. This leads to improved system reliability, reduced downtime, and more efficient IT operations. As someone working in observability and infrastructure monitoring, having a unified latform helps simplify troubleshooting enhances overall operational efficiency.

Ease of implementation, Alert prediction, almost all the algorithms are best, user friendly UI , out of the box dashboards and reports

Automation can be improved with out of the box catalogues or libraries.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about OpsRamp?**

Patching can be automated and scheduled. Most of the details of the vms can be viewed and reports can be created and scheduled.

**What do you dislike about OpsRamp?**

Once patching fails we gotta do manual. Sometimes the reason for failure is not really validated.

First response idea is really good.
Machine learning in Escalation policy is very good and easy to configure.
Process definition is something to look forward. Very promising

**What do you dislike about OpsRamp?**

Synthetic monitoring is something that requires a lot of work. It has never worked as expected
Nested condition is not available in many fields which is a very basic requirement.
Support cases require a lot of attention and support engineer doesnt get data by themselves they just sent out asking for data which is available in the UI itself

**Recommendations to others considering OpsRamp:**

Opsramp is good if you have multiple client. It can act as an individual tool for each client which is awesome

**What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring automation has been achieved using opsramp. Most of our L1 infrastructure issues get fixed automatically. Which saves us a lot of time.
Also using Process definition we can create orchestrate process flow as per our requirement. A

  ### 8. OpsRamp Platform Subjective Criteria Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2022

**What do you like best about OpsRamp?**

Ease of use, single pane of glass platform, an abundant amount of out-of-box monitoring capability, extensive capability for custom monitoring development, and relevant integrations to 3rd party platforms

**What do you dislike about OpsRamp?**

Lack of support presence in the US. There is staff in the US, but not engineers capable of performing in-depth platform troubleshooting. Majority of the support SMEs are located in India. Takes an extended amount of time to resolve support cases. When resolutions are performed there are very few details on what was performed and documented into a support case. As a channel partner, we do not feel well taken care of since we are an MSP who is promoting the platform and reselling the services.

**Recommendations to others considering OpsRamp:**

Please consider OpsRamp when you are looking for a platform that has a high amount of out-of-box capability. The ease of use and single pane of glass approach aids engineers in being more efficient in daily operations. Not to mention if you have custom monitoring requirements, the OpsRamp platform is very accomodating to both Windows and Linux distributions natively.

**What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving many issues and performance problems in the beginning phases versus in a reactive model once an issue has created an outage. The benefit comes from having proper visibility of the entire ecosystem of a customer's environment and being able to prevent business-impacting events. We are also able to provide tangible facts when tweaking performance or simply providing long-term recommendations.

**Official Response from Bill Talbot:**

> Thank you for your review! I'm glad to hear that you are getting good value out of the OpsRamp platform, and that it's helping your team to become more proactive in addressing performance issues affecting your clients. I will pass along your feature enhancement requests to our heads of product management and engineering. And I'd be happy to set up a meeting with our head of customer success if you like. If so please send an email to: customer.success@opsramp.com

  ### 9. Neverending source of pain and frustration

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about OpsRamp?**

- Alert processing can be very fast; events triggered will be available for downstream consumption within seconds.
- Process automation/remediation is well thought out.

**What do you dislike about OpsRamp?**

- Machine learning as such is no more than a proof of concept, riddled with broken backend-services, and resource limits that are not advertised or transparent - most of it outright unusable.
- The API is a mess, different endpoints of the same API will use different syntax and not support the same features/calls, with some of the endpoints being outright broken.
- The web interface is hands down the worst interface I've seen, ever.
- Lots of bugs, inconsistencies, bad design and showstoppers plague the platform as a whole.
- Getting the engineering team involved requires an act of congress, and after much to and fro, will lead exactly nowhere.
- Support is non-existent, obvious bugs/shortcomings are being sold as 'features', when clearly they're not.

**Recommendations to others considering OpsRamp:**

Stay away until the platform matures beyond a proof-of-concept phase.

**What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All in all we've created more problems by using opsramp; we've realized no benefits whatsoever at this time.

**Official Response from Bill Talbot:**

> Hello,

Thank you for your review and I'm sorry to hear that your experience with OpsRamp has not met your expectations so far. I would be happy to set up a meeting with our head of Customer Support to explore if and how we could try to improve your experience. OpsRamp alerts export feature
Metrics collection
Kubernetes integration

**What do you dislike about OpsRamp?**

Delay in prioritizing OpsRamp bug fixes from support.

ServiceNow integration retry feature and corresponding API does not work in OpsRamp.
Gateway upgrade option in UI doesnot indicate the progress percentage upgraded in UI.
Agent and Gateway upgrade most of the time fails and will be rectified after opening a support ticket.
Root Cause Analysis must be provided for all the bugs filed with support along with solution proposed.

**What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration of OpsRamp and ServiceNow to push Kubernetes alerts to ServiceNow.

**Official Response from Bill Talbot:**
