## UserTesting Reviews
 ### 1. User research efficiency partner

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

- Recruitment of users is a pain point for me, and UserZoom (now part of UserTesting) enables us to complete it quickly and easily
- Training modules were easy to understand and prepared me to use it well
- Clip creation and recordings are impactful illustrators

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

- Panel can be hit or miss, depending on need
- Branching logic and coded questions for screeners can be manual and repetitive

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to user feedback in this way helps speed up our concepting work. Our UX design partners also are able to make adjustments and iterate quickly in a way that was not possible in my previous org where we manually scheduled and carried out usability tests - the timing involved just doesnt work.

 ### 2. Rapid insights at your fingertips

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2022

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The ability to speak with an audience who otherwise you would not have access to speak with : Updated May 2023

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Limited options for including/excluding audience members/panels from studies : Updated May 2023

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Engagement with my target audience : Updated May 2023

 ### 3. Takes the subjectivity out of feedback and backs it up with data and additional feedback.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** melissa w. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

We enjoy reviewing the video feedback. Although some testers have brutal feedback, it also helped us move forward from the project that we thought made sense. I dont have much experience with other UX design test sights- but did recently run a test on UsabilityHub.com and liked the data recap they sent me after my initial test.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I would say we often ask for a United States pool of testers only and often get testers from Canada- that may not know US products- like CDs. We also pay for a premium subscription that has a support line- which I find never pick up the phone when you need it.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are taking the subjectivity out of the feedback some may have on a design or product offer and replacing it with objective, data driven, user tested feedback.

 ### 4. Great testing tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Really easy interface, means even beginners can set up tests quickly

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Many of the testers clearly do not fit the criteria

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are no longer going with gut feel for explaining customer behaviour, and now have direct quotes to prove hypotheses

 ### 5. UT helps me run qual tests as part of my role as a UXR.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It's easy...when you remember how the site works. There may be several months between my uses of UT, and I find myself having to-relearn how to set up a test. That part always takes a while, but once I figure out how to set up the kind of research I need at that time, it's a breeze.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It's not like riding a bike. You have to learn and implement work arounds. For example, the live tests only give you around 25 users each. I was having technical issues recently, and several of the sessions were not useful, which reduced my sample size unless I was willing to create another, identical test to run more participants. I figured out how to 'report a problem' and was allowed to request replacement sessions. This was a great feature, but I had to stumble to it.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to connect with customers to better understand their experiences with our site and app.

 ### 6. Product research at scale with User Testing!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruna A. | UX Research Mentor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

User Testing enabled our team to run different types of valuable tests in the early stages of product development because of its intuitive test builder and the large pannel of testers

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are some limitations with testing within our own audience since the templates are not so customizable and the integration with our data lake is not possible yet

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting is supporting our design strategy because it allows us to test with real people in the early stages of product development so we can anticipate usability issues and improve it before it goes live to our users. We can also better understand consumer behavior with in-depth exploratory research when we don't have yet a prototype.

 ### 7. A comprehensive user testing tool that's only getting better.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelbey P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

First, the UI is very user-friendly and easy to learn, which is nice when going from having no user research tool to having one with many bells and whistles. Overall, I think it took a couple of tests to grasp how to use the tool and launch tests for the feedback we needed. The UT Contributor Network works just as quickly as they say - I've never had a test take longer than a few hours to get feedback unless it was one sent in a custom network. They are constantly iterating and asking for input from us which is refreshing. Anytime there is a question or need, their team quickly gets back to us. Being able to set up CX and PM partners in the tool through Knowledgebase courses has dramatically matured our practice, so now we can review their tests with them before approving for launch. UserTesting is a robust tool that I genuinely enjoy using and democratizing within my company!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

With the strengths come opportunities: Screeners are currently only set up to be multi-select or single-select when many times "if, then" logic would be best. It's great that they have a balanced comparison feature to ensure an even number of people who see A-tasks first vs. B-tasks. However, we have found that it would also be nice to have more versions (A, B, C, D) for simple concept testing because we have to create another version of the test to ensure we're getting balanced feedback. Lastly, it would be nice to have the ability to add or edit audiences after a test has launched to reduce the need for versions. Even seeing that the audience was changed in the test would be nice. These are all small personal nitpick things that I've noticed because I'm in the tool every day. Still, I cannot understate the difference having UserTesting has had on our UXR maturity and business overall!

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When our business partners or other stakeholders come to the UX team with new enhancement ideas, we can quickly set up a test evaluating competitor sites with different iterations of their idea and provide timely feedback on what direction resonated most with users and why. This quick process also helps us test if a feature is worth pursuing at all based on the user feedback we get during these evaluative tests. We provide data from concept inception, not just post-concept launch, saving the business a lot of money.

 ### 8. What a luxury!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harriet M. | UXR, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2022

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The quick recuritment and screening process!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Literally nothing!

I do find making reels a little tricky but with all the help available I am sure I will get the hang of it

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UT facilitates our quick pace of work. It allows us to quickly test and gain insights, bringing all stakeholders closer to the customer and our research. teh ease of use and speed at which we can faciliate research means we can test almost everything!

 ### 9. UX Researcher

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

easy to quickly get unmoderated research results

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

latency - very slow loading times that seem a bit unrealistic for software in 2024

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

concept testing, usability testing

 ### 10. Valuable resource to gather members insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rayssa A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Usertesting makes the my Researcher life very easy when it comes to provide me the necessary tools and resources (and support) to gather meaninful insights. I use a lot to conduct unmoderated usability tests and see transcriptions as I'm not English native speaker and that helped me a lot to not be limited :!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Nothing to point out as a negative impact. Sometimes the network base is not that clean, but they also have good range of people available and its not always their fault because they do have a screener phase.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather members insights, saves me time when conducting unmoderated research while in meantime i'm working on paralel in something else. Also, the metrics are really good! I love to have members videos and transcripts available. Its really easy to test in there. The platform is intuitive as well.

 ### 11. Useful for unmoderated user testing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Great for quickly performing light unmoderated user testing.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Respondents were a mixture of professional testers and genuinely useful participants.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick unmoderated usability testing.

 ### 12. Good Access to Reviewers but Awful Execution

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ken C. | Product Strategist , Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The best thing about User Testing is how easy it is to find people to interview with. It is extremely easy to do and convenient

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The worst thing about User Testing is how limited it is, If you want to test a design it's not good. You are better off using Maze. The biggest issue I have is how awful the customer support is.

User Testing is saving money by using an Ada Chat bot for when you need help. If you were to ask this ChatBot for assistance it will recommend articles and if you ask for a human it completely flips out. Maybe it will give you contact info maybe it won't

Well suppose it does give you contact info like a PhoneNumber (Noone from user testing is avail for Live Chat) well the PhoneNumber just routes to a voicemail saying Tech Support will reach back out.

Okay well then let's try email! This is a real tracript:
Me: Contact Support

Bot: You can use the following options to reach the Support Team: [Blank??]

Me: Send an Email

Bot: Do you need any further assistance?

This is honestly the worst SaaS experience I have ever witnessed when it comes to needing help which you will need at some point

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to people to do research with who I would not have the time or resources to find otherwise. It helps me save time with the organizing part of my life and job

 ### 13. Forget about recruitment!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gonzalo G. | UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting allows me to create moderated and non-moderated usability tests quickly and easily. I don't need to worry about recruiting participants as they have a very wide range of participants available.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It took a long time to get transcriptions in Spanish. Still, I think the transcription is not the best. I don't use UT as a source of knowledge either. It's easier to take the research results and analysis into other platforms.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting solves the problem of recruitment. Thanks to UserTesting I can recruit participants from different countries around the world with the characteristics I need. Recruitment is a very difficult process for a small research team and I sometimes still struggle with that; for example, when recruiting minors for research. But not having to do the whole recruitment and reward process is a huge benefit.

 ### 14. Good but could be improved

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole H. | UX / User Research Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

-Industry standard
-Great sentiment analysis
-Pretty decent team management
-Pretty easy to clip videos

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

-Surprisingly difficult to learn
-Does not allow you to preview tests as they show to participants

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to test our product and incorporate user feedback. The custom screeners are great for our niche software.

 ### 15. UserTesting is the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The speed in which I, as a designer, can receive feedback is amazing. It enables myself and my team to iterate on the work so quick and results in being able to deliver a great product to our user base.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are no downsides to UserTesting. I've advocated for it's use in the past three companies I've worked at.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps us understand our customers and recieve valuable feedback. We are able to utilize UserTesting in both product and marketing initiatives. It helps us to build experiences that our customers love. This tool validates our work quickly, helps us to pin point any UX flaws, and allows us to gather invaluable feedback which positively impacts our roadmap. My team and I wouldn't be able to do our jobs nearly as well without UserTesting.

 ### 16. Useful tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer H. | UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

What I like about the tool is that we have a direct line of contact t get changes implemented where our team would benefit. We have submitted feedback to our customer success manager and we quickly see those changes implemented.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Something I dislike about User Testing is the inability to customize the bar charts or pie charts that are automatically created by UT, it would be nice to be able to change the colors so we can quickly screenshot those data visualizations and have them fit the theme or the company or product we are presenting for.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We usually aim to understand customer usability issues pre an post launch of a product. We also aim to understand user sentiment and how users are liking or disliking certain features or elements that are newly implemented.

 ### 17. Expensive for a small enterprise with a wide audience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louise F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The panel is very big and it's a quick turnaround for results. The transcripts are great time saver along with making highlight reels from multiple projects.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The pricing structure is confusing and I felt misled with the offering. The credit ran out 3 months before the contract and there was no negotiation as to how many credits would be suitable for a small company, therefore spent way more than what we had the year before on the unlimited plan.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching users from Europe and US market

 ### 18. Many tools, many resources, much success

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

You're supported every step of the way. Articles, training, monthly check-ins, Power Sessions, UserTesting University, etc. It's like they WANT you to succeed. :D

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Some of the wording on questions or interfaces can be a little confusing, and some elements not so intuitive. There's a learning curve involved for sure, but you can feel like an expert once you nail it.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the difficulty of finding and scheduling small numbers of our VERY niche customers very quickly! If we need huge numbers, we have other resources, but for the little bunches of feedback that we seek often, UserTesting helps recruit, run, and analyze wonderfully.

 ### 19. User Testing is a great way to gain quick and actionable insights.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

the amount of resources available to us is amazing. I reference the inclusive screener and test plan articles from the site a lot and they have helped my team and I bring inclusion further upstream in the research process. The test plan resources and premade templates have also streamlined our ability to quickly publish tests that get to the root of what it is we are trying to learn or validate with the design. The sales and support staff are amazing! They are also always available to chat and answer questions. The power sessions have been amazing as well.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

This may have more to do with my company's niche industry rather than the user testing platform itself, but when we build custom audiences, sometimes it takes a lot longer for testers to pick up a test which affects how quickly we can act on the insights.

I also don't think the sentiment metrics are very reliable. A lot of my metrics indicate a "negative" sentiment but when I watch sessions, I would disagree that a reaction was negative.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speeding up time from posting a test to synthesizing insights and access to the number of testers available.

 ### 20. Great user base and design, but needs a bit of help for mobile gaming

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Really fast response time, ease of replacing user sessions, annotations, and a nice interface. A very good tool for a lot of user testing needs.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Mobile testing, especially for mobile games, was really difficult for a lot of people. Because it's in landscape view, a lot of people didn't like the overlay as it made it quite difficult to both see the screen and do tasks at the same time. Having a completely separate screen for questions would be better than the overlay.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a team of one, so User Testing solves the problem of scaling my time and abilities to adequately test while not making it a full-time job for me. It also recruits very good users.

 ### 21. UserTesting has allowed us to become a truly research driven marketing team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Before User Testing it took weeks of coordination to get customer feedback, it took hours of our teams time to then do the interviews and analyse them and survey response rate was low, plus we wanted to minimise the times we had to reach out to our customers. User Testing gets us the results we need in less than 24 hours after setting up a test which means the process that took 6 weeks or more before can now take days to a week to build, run and analyse a test. Plus we speak to our target audience without constantly interrupting our customers but still have the option to leverage User Testing with our customers as well.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Sometimes when we get very granular about the audience it can take the test longer to fill but in 90% of cases it's less than 24 hours

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding our target customers, their needs, goals, frustrations and attitudes to technology

 ### 22. Sr UX Research Specialist

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It's pretty easy and fast to get responses from the panel. I can easily assign previous testers to new panels to use them again. And I love the functionality specific to reviewing user test videos (e.g., live transcript, notes, sentiment, etc.).

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The interface makes it extremely difficult to search for previous tests or, at the least, organize them. Enhanced testing features like Card Sorting lack useful quantitative analytics. It's not easy to download or export raw data from tests. Overall, the experience of using a screened panel is excellent, but the actual interface and functionality for researchers are ironically severely lacking.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting allows us to get feedback on our design concepts in the ideation phase. We use it to get valuable feedback on functionality, visual aesthetic, information architecture, and usability. We also use it during discovery to gain insight into sentiment, mental models, and potential pain points. These are all things we cannot easily get from our actual client pool due to legal restrictions.

 ### 23. Great platform for a researcher.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I've been able to put together tests quickly and get useful customer insights. The user panel is great. I can specify what characteristics I need, and also use screener questions. I'm able to get results quickly and iterate on my designs.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I've been using the older version of Card sorting because it has the ability to bulk input cards. The drawback to using this is that some participants don't complete the task, or don't do it correctly. Without watching each video, it's not possible to say which participants in User testing didn't complete the task, therefore you can't ask to have a new participant replace them.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting user feedback. We are able to do this quickly and reliably which allows us to iterate on designs/ processes and run a series of tests. This helps us to put out products which are useable and appreciated by our customers.

 ### 24. UserTesting is one of the most powerful tools I use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I really love how quickly I am able to recruit participants and complete an tests, surveys, or interviews that I need. It's also incredibly easy to filter out/find the right participant for my study. UT is also great at replacing any participants if they weren't too helpful, or didn't show up.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Not everyone is on UserTesting so sometimes you get a biased pool of participants. Sometimes I need some higher ranking and higher salary people, but its difficult to recruit.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Usertesting solves the problem of testing with impartial users and getting general feedback on designs, and better understanding of general user behavior. It benefits me because participants understand the expectation and level of feedback that I am looking for. It makes it much easier compared to interviewing a customer who may talk about different topics or uncomfortable with elaboration.

 ### 25. Quick, easy access to a variety of user types

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I've been using UserTesting for several years as they are a vital part of my research process. What makes UserTesting stand out is its ability to recruit niche audiences within a quick timeframe. I can get user feedback on concepts within a few days, which is extremely helpful when moving quickly alongside my product partners.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There is not much that I dislike about UserTesting. Sometimes, the participants in my tests are not who they say they are or don't articulate things well, but this is not super common, and the platform replaces these participants for you at no charge.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting helps us solve a common recruiting challenge of finding our target audience due their extensive panel of users. This helps speed up the timelines of our research projects compared to other recruiting tools we have.

 ### 26. Amazing group!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quinton P. | Lead UX Researcher - Retail, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

They have the insights to help me make Better decisions

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It's difficult to format sometimess due to the lack of rich text editing

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to reach the right customers no matter where I am

 ### 27. Simple UI for any team member to launch, analyze & report out on user-tests!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catherine G. | Manager, Web Experience | Marketing & Brand Management Office, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The user interface makes the complex task of setting up, launching, reviewing and sharing findings out, easy to navigate and easy to look back on past tests. My department will often run reoccuring user-tests for things such as our website homepage, our top conversions on our website, etc., being able to repeat tests and use previous test plans was super helpful. The ability to share a single video clip or a highlight reel was also extremely helpful in sharing takeaways across a multidisciplinary team, as well as with stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The cost of using UserTesting.com as our enterprise platform seemed steep in comparison to similar products. We also seemed to constantly be given a new "account manager" or "personal rep" for UserTesting.com, which was annoying for the team to have to do kickoff calls with this new position every so often.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The qualitative feedback that we can't get through just analytics or survey and in-person feedback from a limited audience. Having a giant user pool like UserTesting, com has is super helpful in testing products across multiple audiences, especially with how fast the feedback can be delivered back to your team. This has been most useful for website redesigns, where we can launch a baseline user-test, test the prototype, and then test post-launch.

 ### 28. I love the revamped design of usertesting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I love how streamlined it is to set up a new test. Setting up a new audience or using an existing one is super easy. Adding the steps for the test and the drag/drop functionality to build your questions is super smooth and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It's difficult to compare multiple tests to each other, because new tabs in the browser seem connected to each other, so that you see the same test in a new tab. And then clicking on the logo in the top left makes you sign in rather than taking you to your dashboard.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing potential design solutions to a problem with a product or testing options for adding a new feature

 ### 29. Super Easy and Fast to Use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UT makes research really fast and easy. I can save screener templates, which makes the set up take less than 5 minutes. I also appreciate that UT handles all the scheduling for me and I don't have to remember to hit record. It's genuinely so easy.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I wish I could flag quotes as I am interviewing people so I can go back and have those moments saved to export into a highlight reel very easily. I also wish the transcripts were searchable within a project, across interviews so that I could find keywords more easily.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

reliably and quickly recruiting users
scheduling interviews
managing and analyzing clips

saves me a lot of time and effort

 ### 30. An essential user research tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

- quick recruitment times for most basic audiences
- simple interface to launch tests and teach others how to use
- recorded feedback that can be accessed whenever needed
- highlight reels and clip-making help to show participant feedback in presentations

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

- inviting stakeholders to moderated sessions is a pain if they don't have an account already. Currently I need to get into the Zoom meeting first and then invite from there
- the multiple ways in which you can join a moderated test are confusing since going into the study and clicking to join the session works much better (for me) compared to joining via the notifications that appear on the dashboard
- it's frustrating to have no idea why a screener might not be working by myself. Needing to ask UserTesting support to help wastes time on both of our ends
- lack of support for quantitative methods is frustrating. Sometimes all that's needed is a simple click heat map

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- it solves our issues with recruitment, where we are able to launch quick tests without having to worry about most of the logistics of testing
- quick recruitment times help get feedback fast

 ### 31. Usertesting is a great tool and easy for beginners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The simplicity of the test setup is very easy to follow. I am a beginner user of this tool and it really only took me one test set up to figure out the lay of the land. I love the drag and drop method of adding questions/filters and there really isn't anything missing from those options, everything is super helpful. I also enjoy the transcript functions and being able to jump to different sections of the recorded video. It saves me a ton of time.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I will say the accuracy isn't always there. Like when it comes to the Metrics word clustering section, seems kinda random info and doesn't really help me. If I didn't watch the video, those word clusters wouldn't really help me. I wouldn't trust those word clouds/donuts without watching the video anyways because of that.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a UX designer that also has some researching credientals. So, usertesting helps me validate my design decisions and see whether or not they are user-friendly/intuitive.

 ### 32. The easiest and fastest way to run unmoderated tests

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eugene L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I've been using the tool for unmoderated usability tests, and I must say that the UI in terms of that is super easy. And it finds good participants super quickly!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are some small UX issues. For example, the new recordings are not sorted by date, and sharing a recording with someone who doesn't have an account with UserTesting is only possible if you open the video first. But those are really small, in general, the tool is great.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running unmoderated tests to validate the prototypes of the new features before the dev team starts developing them. Also, usability evaluation of the existing product to make it better.

 ### 33. Easy to use qualitative platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting's platform is very user-friendly! Programming a study is very intuitive and efficient, even for those brand new to the platform. Their Knowledgebase is also a very helpful resource for writing and launching studies so the entire platform feels like a one-stop shop for conducting user research.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Screener capabilities using the demographic data collected by the platform are rather limited. For example, it would be really nice to have more flexibility in the household income brackets as the platform only allows you to set $20k intervals by default. It would also be helpful to be able to exclude past participants of specific tests vs. past ten tests launched as to provide researchers greater reassurance about audience overlap.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting is helping my organization resolve pain points on our website, allowing us to refine content, language, and navigation to be closer to user expectations and thus improve conversion rates.

 ### 34. Helpful for all your research needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Setting up a test: Easy and intuitive. Did not take long to learn how to set up the test and I love that I'm able to review my test before launching.

Reviewing videos: The notes section on the right panel made it easy to annotate certain sections of the video to help with analysis later on.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I had some trouble launching my test on web from mobile because the audience has limited edit options compared to when you're setting it up. I would love if I'm able to have as much editing capabilities while in the middle of a launch or if I can somehow pause everything and make edits.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps untangle insights into how a particular experience or product performs and how users interact. These insights allow us to optimize the product before launching or informing fixes.

 ### 35. Straightforward and comprehensive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It has almost everything we need all in one place - unmoderated and moderated testing of various kinds. Our main research platform!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It does not help with analysis very much at this time.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it incredibly easy to find participants even when they are a very specific audience.

 ### 36. Lear and Earn

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Recruitment can sometimes be hard and sometimes the people are not the right ones

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching the right users in a easy and fast manner. I don't have to meet users in person to conduct interviews

 ### 39. A competitive and essential tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting.com is essential to my day to day as a researcher. Feedback is immediate. Participants are professional and enthusiastic. Replacement sessions are immediate when needed, The UX of the program itself is well streamlined.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Adjusting test question order and steps can be tedious. Screeners are not conditional. Recruits outside of the US are a bit difficult. Market consolidation provides few alternatives to UserTesting.com, recent business moves of course contributing.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preference testing for Product Design concepts. Validation of simple to complex prototypes. Uncovering usability issues. Word clouds and 5-second tests. A vs B concept comparisons.

 ### 40. UserTesting has enabled me to do more as a team of 1

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The ability to quickly get insights with low overhead. I've shifted primarily to unmoderated tests because the value is much higher than moderated.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are some design issues with the platform. I feel limited in how I can design studies on the platform.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sourcing participants quickly and easily. The framework for building unmoderated studies which has expanded my impact and bandwidth.

 ### 41. Swiss Army knife tool for UXR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

This is a great tool. We are able to field tests and get quality respondents very quickly. Great for testing prototypes. For qual research, it has it all.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

A downside is that currently it is difficulty to recruit for and facilitate focus grops but my understanding is that they are working on solutions for this.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting helps us gain insights quickly and generate buy in. Being able to share clips, reels, or even entire videos with our stakeholders helps us create buy in and helps them to feel close to the customer.

 ### 42. Long-time customer of UserTesting - still very happy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin B. | UX Researcher II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2022

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Extremely sleek looking and easy to navigate UI - emphasis on discoverability and ample cognitive affordances to allow non-research professionals to launch studies that glean meaningful insights. The engaged user community, dedicated support, and fantastic gamification of learning UX Research in UT University/Community are all things that will keep me a strong promoter of UserTesting.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

More users who are clearly not fitting the demographics they set on their profiles are slipping through into studies regardless of the amount or quality of screener requirements set. This is a struggle that all companies with a participant databases deal with.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The need to speak to participants that could be customers of my company/company competitors - sometimes broadly and sometimes a very specific subgroup. UT Allows us to show potential users current designs to address any usability issues or areas of improvement to allow for constant user-focused improvements and to save the company time and money by testing new designs before they are launched to ensure they are as user-focused and user-friendly as possible.

 ### 43. Good experience recruiting and recieving high quality feedback

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

- Quick recruitment time
- Most participants are thorough in their explainations, and trained to articulate their thinking well
- video editing experience is very useful

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

- Occasionally participants do not read instructions, do not give enough feedback, do not explain their thinking
- the experience of sharing usertesting with collaborators (stakeholders without a usertesting account) could be improved

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us to better understand how our users value our current product, how would feel about new features we are developing at the moment

 ### 44. UserTesting For Quick Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

If you want to get quick insights and be able to have product impact this is great! Participants are well vetted and you can get to them quickly and easily. You are able to get product insights and determine ways to make your product stronger.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It is pretty pricey in general and the rate cards are hard to understand

It helps us get to our customers quicker (helps with recruitment) and makes it easy to do unmoderated research

 ### 45. Great premiere support

**Reviewed by:** Qian Y. | User Experience Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Premiere support and unmoderated tests.
Responsive

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Recruitment sometimes can get fraud participants

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provide a tool to recruit research and store data

 ### 46. UserTesting is Efficient enough

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting is efficient enough to get the job done. I like that you can create a screener and save as a template. I like the availability of transcription, which is always helpful in gathering insights quickly

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Technical issues arise too often than not with UserTesting. It sometimes seems like there are too many parts that sometimes allow for slow responses in the website. Sound issues, screen sharing problems are common encounters.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

userTesting makes it easy to reach a broad range of users quickly and complete interviews and other research methods quickly. The recruiting time is quite fast, which makes it easy to get work done as soon as test is ready.

 ### 47. Makes my life easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I really love the transcription feature on UT. By having a transcript, I'm able to download multiple interviews and then search for key words. This really helps me identify commonalities and makes sensemaking much quicker.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I don't often use the sentiment analysis feature. It's not useful for my purposes.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Concept testing. By speaking directly to the customer we are able to decide the best path forward.

 ### 48. Real people make better products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana W. | Principal Copywriter, Brand Design Systems, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2022

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

We encounter so many questions in our creative process. I love being able to try out new designs and copy and get feedback from target customers and audiences so quickly. I learn something critical every time we run another test.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I do miss visiting customers in real life. But with this platform there's a lot of intimacy, plus we can talk to people around the world.

I am glad search has been improved, and would like to more easily search across clips for key phrases.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to iterate quickly on designs and content and validate with real people. This allows us to make smarter business decisions and envision our participants and their pain points as we work.

 ### 49. The Industry Standard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The main selling point of user testing is that you can get enough participants within a matter of hours. Their panel seems to be huge and often they are quality participants as well.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There's not a whole lot to dislike, but if I had to say something, it would be that the survey question-ish functionality is a bit limited but not a big deal at all and I have other tools for this.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting insights about and feedback from users. Pretty much all my user research needs (e.g. usability testing, interviews, etc.)

 ### 50. New and Excited to Join UserTesting but Finding the Need to Overcome Some Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2022

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I really love how user friendly the site is and the support network that comes with the platform. There are a lot of useful tools available from creation of the study, conducting the study and analyzing the results. The company is constantly thinking of new ways to improve the experience of the platform and make it easier to do research for our company.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The way that the studies are ran are based on voice and video recordings and screen capture. While this is a plethora of information, it has limited some aspects such as accessibility with participants that are hard to reach (higher-ups in our client's network). It also makes it hard to get quanitative data. We are eagerly learning the platform and are looking to establish a B2B strategy as it seems to be geared toward B2C.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting is providing a standardized solution to collect user research. Not only does it open up the opportunity to collect valuable insights, but to create some standardization. Moreover, it helps provide guidance to those who are new to user research.
