## UserTesting Reviews
 ### 1. Our go-to UXR tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Demet E. | UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2022

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

When it comes to UX research, UserTesting truly has it all. Over the years, they've added more and more options and made the tool even more versatile than it was. The user panel is vast, we get responses usually within an hour. It takes longer to reach more niche user groups, but that is expected. Support is also very fast, and very helpful. I really like the transcripts, and highlight reels, it gets quite easy to report findings.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are a few reoccuring bugs, and navigational issues. I would expect the UI navigation to be smoother since this is a UX tool after all. My biggest issue is that when you are looking at all of the tests you have ever sent, you cannot filter based on time.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting is the most important tool in our UXR toolkit. Whenever we need insights, it’s our go-to platform. Thanks to it, we’re not confined by time zones or limited to our own user panel. We also don’t need to juggle multiple tools for different UXR methodologies, because UserTesting has everything we need in one place.

 ### 2. A reliable platform to share feedback and improve digital experiences

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LOKESH G. | Engineer.SGB TCS-FS CORE BANKING,Production, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting offers a straightforward and user-friendly interface for conducting usability tests. I appreciate how it enables me to test different websites, prototypes, and mobile apps, all while contributing to the improvement of various products. The instructions for each test are clear, and payments are handled efficiently once a test is completed. Overall, it’s an excellent platform for honing UX skills and gaining insights into user behavior in practical, real-world situations.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

At times, the number of available test opportunities can be limited based on your demographics or profile type. Some tests also require users to have higher experience ratings before they can participate, which may pose a challenge for newcomers trying to get started. Furthermore, the review process for submitted tests can sometimes take longer than anticipated.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting enables me to efficiently collect genuine feedback from real users on digital products such as websites, apps, and prototypes before they go live. This process helps me uncover usability problems, refine design flows, and ultimately deliver a better experience for end users. The platform serves as a valuable link between design teams and actual users, empowering businesses to make informed, data-driven decisions about user experience. For me personally, it has deepened my understanding of user behavior, significantly sped up the usability testing process, and provided practical insights that benefit both my personal projects and my professional work in UX.

 ### 3. UserTesting: Real Feedback Made Simple That Improves Products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anchal J. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The best thing about UserTesting is getting fast video feedback from real people so you can see exactly how they use your product.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The main thing I dislike about UserTesting is its high price, which can be too expensive for smaller companies or individual creators.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting takes the guesswork out of product decisions by letting you watch real people use your product. That saves time and money because you can catch mistakes early. It also shows you exactly where users get stuck, so you can improve the experience and avoid spending money building features that nobody ends up liking.

 ### 4. Fast, Genuine User Feedback That Removes Guesswork

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Radhika R. | Full Stack developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting makes it really easy to understand what real users think and feel while using a product. What I like is how quickly you can get genuine feedback by watching users interact with your product and hearing their thoughts in real time. It removes a lot of guesswork from decision-making. Instead of assuming what users want, you actually see where they struggle or what they like. This helps improve designs, flows and features with more confidence and saves time that would otherwise go into back and forth discussions.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Usertesting can get expensive, especially if you need frequent tests or large number of participants. This can be a bit limiting for smaller teams or startups. Another downside is that the quality of feedback can sometimes vary depending on the participant. Not every session gives deep insights, so you still need to spend time filtering and interpreting results.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User Testing solves the problem of not really knowing how real users experience your product. Instead of relying on assumptions, internal opinions, or long feedback cycles, it lets you see and hear users interact with your product directly. For me, this is super helpful because it brings clarity fast. I can quickly understand where users get confused, what they like and what needs improvement. It saves a lot of guesswork, helps teams make better decisions wth confidence and ensures changes are based on real user behavior, not just opinions.

 ### 5. Designed for researchers: essential for small teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo G. | Strategy Service Design Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting understands how researchers do their work, so they have designed their product around that. I work in a small research team and we wouldn't be able to conduct some forms of research without UT.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There really isn't anything I can think of. I do wonder how many people go through the onboarding? I skipped it as fast as I could.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To give a more concrete example: UT analyzes for us a number of answers to open-ended questions that we simply would not be able to handle. I've been in research for more than a decade and I remember categorizing things without any assistance. It's time-consuming, which means it's expensive.

 ### 6. UserTesting Streamlines Recruiting and Delivers Consistently Relevant Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gonzalo M. G. | UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2026

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting helps me enormously when it comes to recruiting relevant users. It has made it easier for us to streamline our research process and consistently gather highly relevant insights.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It’s very expensive, and it doesn’t offer the most relevant integrations—especially when it comes to bringing in data that wasn’t collected through UserTesting.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us quickly gather feedback on our digital products from the right users, and it doesn’t require much extra effort on our side.

 ### 7. Effortless Participant Recruitment and Seamless Panel Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly J. | Head of Research & Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

We can host our own panel in UserTesting with our customers, without the hassles of manual maintenance. If we want to, we can also easily reach out to the public panel - it's easy to fill research studies with participants. The team at UserTesting have also been great, from implementation right through to regular catch ups on feature updates and general questions.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

As with any research, analysis remains the most challenging aspect. I appreciate any tools that can assist with this stage of the process. While the AI features in UserTesting are useful for providing a high-level overview, truly deep insights still require human interpretation and analysis.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting helps us better understand user problems before and whilst we are solving them, to ensure we solve the right problems. It helps us connect with customers we might not have had a chance to. It reduces development time and rework, and not releasing the wrong solution.

 ### 8. Valuable Platform, But Limited Opportunities for Testers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Osvaldo B. | Tecnico cinematografico, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting is a well-known platform where you can complete simple tasks and assist companies in gathering valuable feedback from potential customers. Occasionally, they provide tests to participate in, but unfortunately, being chosen for these opportunities is not easy. I joined this panel over a year ago, and I am still waiting for my first real chance to take part.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I don't like that it seems nearly impossible to be selected, and overall, the opportunities they provide are very limited. In contrast, I am able to work regularly with other platforms.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their goal should be to connect companies with customers in order to gather valuable feedback. However, I am beginning to question whether this company is truly committed to that purpose.

 ### 9. Frustrating Experience with UserTesting

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert K. | Sales And Marketing Specialist, Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The initial setup of UserTesting was easy.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I didn't really get going with UserTesting because I had issues initially with the software and then trouble with the VPN. My account was deleted for no reason after I appealed many times to customer help. Their onboarding process needs some help. The initial interview had an issue with my VPN, and it was the only service that did. I attempted to get help from UserTesting with no results. It wasn’t very user-friendly, and there could be a lot more information available on the app itself. Communication was very complicated, and I was never offered any resolution.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting didn't solve problems for me; it actually created some.

 ### 10. Access Frustrations, Promising Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivani B. | Freelancer (I do microjobs as part time while looking for an actual work ), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I use UserTesting because the platform values human opinions over AI-generated content, which I find meaningful. Their website boasts smooth animations and an intuitive user interface, enhancing my experience even though they currently don't offer a dedicated app for participants from India. I appreciate the platform's transparency; they promptly inform whether new participants can join, which saves time and prevents unnecessary waiting. Additionally, I am aware from online forums about the potential to earn well through participating in studies on UserTesting, which motivates my desire to get involved. Despite the issues with logging in, accessing the user interface via a Chrome browser is a seamless experience.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I find it frustrating that UserTesting does not consistently allow me to participate in studies, especially since I am from India and they state that participants are accepted from every region. It's disappointing to encounter repeated login issues that prevent me from participating because there are seemingly enough respondents already. This lack of access is disappointing because it prevents me from engaging in user studies and sharing my perspectives, despite the platform's claim to accept participants globally.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use UserTesting to participate in user studies, earning money for my time and opinions, which values human insights over AI-generated content.

 ### 11. user Testing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anshu K. | Product specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

Its advance feature require subscription either montly or annually which make extra cost to small size companys .Technical experienced persons are required to to implement or handle into organisation.

User Testing is maily used for solving many problems in organisation in which is one is that we can conduct the survey or interview to collect or maintain real feedback from real users which make beneficial for any organisation to increase their customer based on survey or interview. we can slo reduce cost of company . it do not reqire any type of coding to implement into organisation.

 ### 12. Great for Panel Sampling, Needs Improvement in In-App Coding

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny C. | Personalization Manager, Digital Experience, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I really appreciate UserTesting for its ability to allow me to listen to audio and watch videos while coding the transcript simultaneously. This feature facilitates a seamless flow in reviewing research and brings a degree of efficiency to my work. Moreover, I find immense value in UserTesting’s panel sampling and recruitment features. These functionalities greatly enhance my process of gathering qualitative market insights and user feedback, which is crucial for the validation of designs and product bets.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I wish I had more control over how I code in UserTesting and the ability to save quotes directly within the app. The current functionality doesn't allow for this, or I don't understand how to do it, and I find myself missing features like those offered by Dovetail, which our organization doesn't have access to. I use to use a connector between testing and DT in my last org. That was super helpful.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use UserTesting for qualitative validation of designs, reviewing UX research. It benefits me by providing panel sampling and recruitment, even though I'm not the primary user and wish it had in-app coding features like Dovetail.

 ### 13. Quick Recruiting, but Too Limited for Flexible User Testing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It's quick for recruiting to get quick findings, and has more or less ways to do quick user testing

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It's limited in its capabilities. It's missing certain methods such as click test. It's limited in types of questions and formats you can use

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have new releases often, but it's still leaving a lot to be desired

 ### 14. Usability Testing with Instant Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan .

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I really appreciate UserTesting for its ability to provide valuable insights from people outside of our organization, which helps in understanding consumer sentiment effectively. The feature that allows me to build surveys easily is something I find incredibly useful, as it streamlines the process of gathering user feedback. Additionally, the unmoderated reviews are a standout feature for me, providing genuine and uninterrupted consumer responses. The process of setting up UserTesting is straightforward and uncomplicated, making the initial use seamless and efficient.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I find that the word clouds feature doesn't work sometimes, and other result analysis features don't make sense at times.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting enables us to gather opinions from external users, test design concepts, and understand consumer sentiment. It eases building surveys and offers valuable unmoderated reviews, enhancing our design and experience validation process.

 ### 15. Versatile Testing Platform with Flexible Device Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thereza Marie E. | Corporate Trainer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I like that UserTesting provides variety of test types; websites, prototypes, mobile apps, surveys and office platforms. The tests can also be completed in any device.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I don’t like that there’s not much available work in the Philippines. I have had a lot of opportunities every time, I am back in Australia.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting provides and gathers insights, realtime feedback, broad testing and easy payment process for testers. This is a good platform for UX research and user validation.

 ### 16. User Testing Impact

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sameer S. | Assistant Manager Human Resources, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting excels in providing a platform that allows for real-time observation of user interactions with digital products, which helps validate design choices before full-scale development. Its efficiency in test setup and rapid response collection, combined with a straightforward interface, makes it accessible even for those new to usability testing.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

While UserTesting is a valuable tool for UX research, some users have reported several drawbacks. These include high costs, particularly for smaller teams or startups, and the potential for overwhelming data volume without advanced analysis tools to distill key insights.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting solves the problem of understanding user behavior and gathering actionable feedback to improve product design and user experience. By providing access to real users and their interactions with products, UserTesting helps teams identify pain points, validate design choices, and ultimately create more user-friendly and successful products.

 ### 17. Quick way to get insights, discovery and make great product & UX decisions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anne L. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It's really easy to set up a test and generally we have great quality users who take the time to answer questions thoughtfully and insightfully. It allows me to upload a prototype, point to a URL or upload an image which I then ask people to comment on. I use it about every 3-4 weeks to help me make important decisions about the UX of my product. Customer support are really helpful and quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It could do with more UK users, there are a lot of USA users but it's not clear how many users there may potentially be in different demographic sections like other regions.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We ask users to look at or use a prototype and then make decisions from what they say - it gives us confidence in the decisions we make about what users want and value.

 ### 18. Positive experience of recently returning to UserTesting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Good quality system with most of the features you'd expect from a market leader. Reasonably easy to use. Continuous improvement of the software (e.g. recent AI offering). Good support when you need it.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Can be difficult to know exactly what features to use that will get the right result for the particular needs of the project you're working on

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding out from users what works and what doesn't on existing apps and website and on prototypes and systems in development.

 ### 19. UserTesting: a application that evolve at the light of speed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jean L. | Designer d'Expérience Senior., Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

This a very easy app to use for creating and running a variation of user tests that is important for validation our work. The numbers of improvements and features that they have added over the years are impressive such as the interface, the Insights Discovery, the task summary, etc.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I think it could be helpful if there was a list of report format that you can choose for exporting the Metrics and insights.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a UX Designer, I can make better decisions to improve the user experience and enhance our product usability, and by the fact creating more user-friendly designs. This process helps me reduce the risk of proposing wrong product design and increase customer satisfaction by aligning the product more closely with the user want and expect.

 ### 20. Quick Testing and Insights That Drive Better Business Decisions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting enables our team to launch tests quickly and gather results that directly inform our business decisions.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are limitations with the participant panel, and it can be difficult to find participants who match our exact user profile.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting helps us move quickly when gathering feedback on our designs, which in turn helps us stay on track with our product roadmap.

 ### 21. Powerful tool that would benefit from its own purpose

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan G. | Senior UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting's strengths are its panelists, flexible incentive structure, and breadth of testing modes. I like that they push for the latest and greatest features that users are asking for.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

As the platform has changed to adopt user preferences, the navigation and site structure has diminished. It can be difficult to know where to find tools, there are inconsistencies in test organization/folder structure, and some features are just buried behind a "clean" UI. The tool suits power users well and I'd like to have easier access to powerful featuers.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting is empowering our organization to give users a voice. We are integrating their voice into our strategic priorities and it's helping us shape decisions that affect them.

 ### 22. A intuitive tool, but perhaps thinly steteched on new capabilities

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

How easy it is to use. How intuitive setting up moderated or unmoderated tests are. It's a very reliable tool for its primary use case- usability testing/interviews. The task options are well rounded allowing integration of a number of different types of tests if needed e.g. first impression testing or card sorts/tree testing, A/b testing etc Can be very useful to conduct testing when time is of the essence. A lot of scope in terms of freedom to create tests as needed.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Participant quality, particularly for new functions like the survey tool. The responses vs data we have in the past received via our website have been very varied, a persistent issue is the obvious 'side hustle' users who smash through tests to generate income. This has been a problem as well for moderated sessions on occasion where users are clearly not in the country you selected for/have no familiarity with the brand.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its our primary conduit to the users of our brands so its crucial to our work. We no longer have an intercept tool to capture live users from our sites so this is the primary method by which we are able to connect with our users.

 ### 23. My experience with User Testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I appreciate how UserTesting offers a variety of tools that help me design interviews tailored to the goals of the study and gather meaningful insights. I especially value the quick metrics and live interviews—they make it easier to prepare my reports and confidently present design directions to stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I need to go through all the sessions to hear what our users have to say—it's time-consuming, but incredibly useful and unavoidable.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting helps me quickly gather UX insights without needing lengthy approval processes or full stakeholder buy-in—especially valuable when working under tight deadlines. Its speed and flexibility allow me to validate early design ideas and test usability before implementation. This not only helps me catch potential issues early but also leads to more user-friendly, effective design solutions.

 ### 24. User Testing makes it fast, easy and intuitive to collect rich insights from users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** rachel b. | Senior User Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

User Testing allows me to rapidly get rich user feedback on concepts and designs. I love that User Testing has its own panel of participants, which makes it really easy to quickly set up an unmod, or schedule in a live conversation without the hassle of using a recruiter.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

User testing could have even more helpful features within the think out loud test setup, for example the ability to add more complex logic to the tasks.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User testing allows us to better understand our users, their needs and behaviours. We can see how real users interact with our products and design with them in mind.

 ### 25. Decent tool to gather user feedback and insights

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I like the ability to do unmoderated user testing without having to manually recruit participants as this saves me a ton of time! I also like the ability to use AI insights although they are sometimes inaccurate and definitely require double checking.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Yes, AI Insights, their CommUnity which used to be great but now is horrible (please bring the old community back and honor the badges and points everyone worked so hard to earn that suddenly disappeared in February). I'd also love if they improved their communication as they have ignored messages in the CommUnity when reaching out for help. Communication for support bugs that happen for test analysis, which are crucial to ensure those are accurate, requiring more manual work as I have to tediously check to ensure every single answer is correct. For example, you use a scale rating and users select one option but the Metrics tab shows they selected another option, we have premium chat support but weeks later it still isn't resolved after reaching out by chat and email for help leaving us to have to abandon the test results as they are not reliable and we simply don't have the time to go through each of them. I felt quite helpless at that point when UserTesting is supposed to speed things up not slow them down.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us understand how users interact with our website and how we can make the experience better for them. Sometimes we have assumptions but aren't sure how they would truly feel about it and it helps to test those so we have answers early in the project. It also helps us move things forward in the process by showing why it's so important to make proposed changes.

 ### 26. Good all rounder UXR Platform, can't wait for more improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabrina M. | UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I like its simplicity in the interface, it's intuitive to create your tests. I also like that it's automated: if a tester is not good, just a few clicks to get another one. And responses are so quickly, it really makes it easy to turn around a test in a couple of days (analysis included). Also the interviews work well, it's not required to install software (other than zoom) and there's an observer room, it's easy to share links to colleagues.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I feel there's room for improvement, I don't like that I can't self serve to delete my tests (need to write to support). And once you create a study, there's no flexibility to edit the type of test or device, same for interviews, once you set the parameters, you can't change after creation of the study.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely the speed: putting togethere a test is super quick and getting results it's even quicker. It takes away the stress of "fear of failing" because it's so quick and easy that if you do mistakes, you can just duplicate the test, correct it and relaunch it. The fact that participants are replaced automatically when something is wrong is another less headache. Such a big weight off my shoulders!!

 ### 27. A robust tool for user research

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thaisa S. | Senior user experience designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Usertesting is great if you want to conduct user interviews. It manages everything from calendar schedules, recruiting, notetaking, tagging of notes, editing videos and summaries of your entire study. You can invite everyone you need there and share reels later with the team. It's also great for unmoderated studies, be it recruting from their base or not. It's qutie easy to implement figma prototypes there for usability tests. I like how their customer support is fast, never got ny doubts unanswered.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

In case your users are wuite talkative on your interview, your session may be cut off. If you need to increase the amount of minutes, you need to create a whole new study. For surveys, they're still implementing more logic and conditions features like UserZoom has. I wish putting images on multiple answer questions was possible too.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can recruit from a wider audience, manage easily schedules for interviews and conduct usability tests of my prototypes.

 ### 28. Using the UserTesting umbrella of products to drive customer-centricity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caitlin H. | User Research Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

We're currently using the User zoom and EnjoyHQ platforms and we love the integrations between them. UserZoom allows us to run a plethora of multi-method studies and importantly, QXScore studies which help us internally benchmark our web experiences and track improvements. EnjoyHQ allows us to have a centralised repository of research insights, data analytics findings and experimentation results that keep our findings living and breathing with clear evidence and summaries and allows for stakeholders to self-serve insights which free's up the researchers to run more research.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I'm anticipating the future of AI in UserZoom and EnjoyHQ which currently doesn't exist. I know there are some interesting plans for this and it's something currently lacking in the platforms we use so very exciting stuff. We also have run into recent issues with the recruitment panels either not being able to achieve the numbers we need or having poor quality results.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working in marketing, we use UserZoom to help us surface user pain points and feedback that are then fed back to our optimisation squads. The squads pick out these opportunities for testing and we a/b test hypotheses backed by user research which helps drive conversion rates. We also use UserZoom to conduct user research on prototypes to allow us to get early feedback and for designers to iterate on experiences before they've ever even launched on the website.

 ### 29. Easiest way to connect with your customers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The thing I like best about UserTesting is how quickly and conveniently I can reach our customers and get feedback so that we can quickly made decisions and move on with product development.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

One downside is the quality of participants at times. There are professional test takers and bots trying to simply make money.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing with participants helps us pick the optimal design and flow that customers interact with most efficiently. It also helps us in the discovery phase when we are determining what we should build.

 ### 30. I am a loyal user of User Interview. Sometimes I am struggling to have works from them.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erdogan E. | Floor Staff, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

What I appreciate most is their reward system—it truly feels magical.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

There are times when I feel like I would be a great match for a study, but I still don't get selected.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This service provides high-quality surveys with excellent participants, which I find very important. It truly helps by ensuring both the surveys and the respondents meet a high standard.

 ### 31. Clear Instructions and Timely Payments Make It Stand Out

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nihal G. | QA Automation Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Instructions are very clear and timely payments.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Less tests comparatively and a lot of restrictions.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It bridges the gap between real users and product researchers.

 ### 32. One of the most complete tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giovanna d. | User Research Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting is one of the most complete tools in the market. They offer so many test types and their panel is robust, allowing us to run unlimited tests. The recording functionality is a differential. They constantly release product improvements.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Their interface can be a bit complex for non-researchers as they offee too many possibilities.I would like them to simplify it and provide more guidance to non-researchers.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily reach out to employees and B2B companies to run usability testes and interviews.

 ### 33. I have used user testing in the past on research projects and it has been incredibly useful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikaela B. | Song Development Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I really liked how seamless the platform is to connect with other users in real time and get access to diverse audiences

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I wish there was a built in feature to synthesize information a bit easier to make data collection from user interviews more seamless

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is getting real time feedback from diverse audiences for products, services or reviews for a select client

 ### 34. Great for general markets

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting is by far the fastest way to conduct unmoderated testing with live participants. They have a growing list of functionality that is desirable in a product (survey, moderated, unmoderated, first click, etc. etc.). The customer success managers are responsive and attentive.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

The quality of the participant pool is not great. Often, participants are not truly eligible for the study they have screened into. Additionally, I dislike that I am unable to see user names in the new survey functionality. Additionally, it's difficult to recruit on UT for any group beyond general market (specific banking customers, commercial customers, private client, small business). I would also appreciate the functionality to double-screen before a participant is deemed eligible to participate in a study, similar to UserInterviews. I find that increases the quality of respondents and weeds out those who are untruthful on screeners.

While UT has all functionality you'd want (surveys, moderated, unmoderated, etc.) it seems that they continue to just add more new products to their roadmap before fine tuning the existing products. For example, in the unmoderated features, there is no way to randomly present more than 2 different prototypes. You can only counter balance with two.

Overall, it seems as though UT has focused on mergers and acquisitions and diversification of products, and in that time their competitors (UserInterviews, MeasuringU, Dovetail, etc.) have eclipsed them in quality because their competitors focus on a single product (moderated interviews, for example with UserInterviews) and become best in class for that specific product.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem is getting the voice of the customer quickly. Proprietary recruitment takes a long time and requires immense human power. Having the ability to just launch to a pool of people is the biggest benefit UT provides.

 ### 35. Very good website for earning side income

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RKay G. | freelancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

good test or survey to earn some good income

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

survey is avaliable for very less time u have to be active

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

usertesting asks to test or answer and give some good side income

 ### 36. A good platform to recruit participants and conduct testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily . | User researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting has a large amount of participants, my tests get filled very easily; I can save templates and pin tests.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Hard to maintain favourtite network and custom network as we need to send a invite to participants to join the saved network but they technically already in th network.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Participant recruitment, analysis dashboard, save audience groups, etc
We conducted lots of unmordeated testing on the platform, generally it saves lots of time in term of the participant recruitment process and conducting user research is no longer a bottleneck of the project.
We still need to 'clean' and analysis the data but it just easier to have the analysis dashboard the glance a quick result.

 ### 37. Good Participant Access, but Pricing and Scalability Are a Challenge

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

User Testing offers a quck and covenient way to recruit non-users for unmoderated tests from their panel. The size and diversity of the panel allows to get responses within hours instead of days. The platform is user fliendly and test builder is robust, supporting a variety of research study types and integrations.
Sometimes the quality of feedback some users provide can be low, but luckaly User Testing offers to replace any session that wasn't useful with another one free of chanrge, and this action is only a button away.

Overall, UserTesting streamlines the process of running user tests and makes it efficient.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

While UserTesting is an excellent tool for recruitment speed, the pricing is quite high. It's one of the more expensive options out there and the subscription caps the number of seats. This limits the scalability for growing teams or when trying to democratize research to other departments. This became a challenge as our team expanded, and it wasn’t cost-effective.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem UserTesting helps us to solve is getting quality users feedback and validate our assumptions and hypothesis very quickly. You can create, launch a test and get first feedback from real people all within an hour or two. It also supports multiple research methods aloowing us to choose an approach tailored to our needs. This makes the user research process more efficient and flexible, benefiting teams by enabling faster, more actionable insights.

 ### 38. Transformed our UX Research practice!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily O. | User Experience Research Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2020

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It's so easy to draft up and launch tests, and insights come in so quickly! Their templates are super useful and their Support staff is always there if you have a question. I'm also obsessed with the Highlight reel creator - it's insanely easy to make clips and piece together videos for hard-hitting insight reels to share with the team with the simple copy/paste of a hyperlink. Plus, we love the Live Convos feature - these are practically on demand 1:1 user interviews. Can't say enough good things about the platform - don't know what I'd do as a researcher without UT.com!

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Recently I've needed to test cross-devices (pushing a user desktop to app, for example) which isn't supported yet in Unmoderated testing. I also think the Transcription could be improved a bit.

**Recommendations to others considering UserTesting:**

Leverage the templates & Learning Navigator provided by UT.com, + their support staff and your customer success manager!

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying issues in core shopping flows, understanding natural user behavior on certain sites/pages, assessing the performance of prototypes of upcoming feature work/experiences. This platform really helps us keep tabs on our current experience + ensures our future experiences are vetted before they go live.

 ### 39. Advanced User

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I like the following functionalities the best:
- ability to source a large spectrum of target audiences even very niche ones
- sentiment analysis
- insights optimization and getting reliable insights
- click heat maps (LOVE LOVE LOVE this feature!)

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

to be honest, there are very few things to dislike about usertesting. its really efficient with reliable participant sourcing and the insights the platform develops make things for user experience researchers much much easier! I love everything about this platform!

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tons of user testing and usability testing. i am able to conduct hueristic studies based on all the info i gather from user testing. even the client sentiment analysis is accomplished by this platform, plus click hotspots- this really helps with tons of design aspects and understanding client behaviour and sentiment.

 ### 40. Best for usability testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neha S. | UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

I like how easy it is to find the right participants and conduct various methodology tests with UserTesting. Their analysis tool is best in the business and is an intuitive and easy tool for researchers to do studies. The highlight reels integrate well with figjam presentations. Customer support along with being able to talk to the UserTesting researchers has been very helpful.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I'd like for some analysis data points to be more accurate and drill deeper into insights. The intention paths to be more detailed. I want to be able to test 3 or 4 options and not just 2 with balance comparison.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Usability testing design flows for successful implementation

 ### 41. Excellent plaform for user research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

Easy access to panel of contributors across different roles and industry as well as spread across the world. There are multiple templates and easy to implement approaches for multi-research methods. There are always new additions and that's super helpful to plan knowing you can rely on UT platform. Their customer support is excellent.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Quality of contributors on UserTesting is decreasing by the day. There are some aggressive contributors who feel entitled to incentive only because they show up and not provide any meaningful feedback. The quality needs major reboot.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserTesting is helping me to evaluate prototypes of the designs we are developing for our products and get timely feedback to understand if design direction is easily comprehensible, understand perceived value as well as conduct user interviews through various pre-determined templates. We have done early testing on Information Architecture, card-sorting methods etc.

 ### 42. Your product is amazing. However the more I use the product the more I start to see the limitations.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The recordings, Metrics tab, the research environment. I appreciate Aiyesha and Tom they are really helpful and super knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

•	The workaround of embedding a survey link in a short test is creating a poor user experience and impacting feedback quality.
•	Users are encountering difficulties opening external links and navigating back to the survey questions.
Suggestion:
•	Microsoft Forms handles this very effectively by allowing images to be displayed directly alongside the relevant question.
•	Please view this survey: https://forms.office.com/r/0GMD3T3VZj

Issue: We are currently working on adding the Jackpot City casino branding to the custom network on the UserTesting platform. However, we are encountering an issue with the suggested dimensions. The logo is appearing very small and is hardly visible. Could you please provide us with the specific design specifications (e.g., recommended dimensions, file format, maximum file size) that we should be using to ensure the Jackpot City logo displays correctly and is clearly visible on the platform?

Suggestion 1: Feature Request: Text Formatting in Surveys
•	Could you please consider implementing text formatting capabilities within the survey creation tool?
•	Here is the link to the formatting shortcuts: https://help.usertesting.com/hc/en-us/articles/11880445709341-Shortcuts-for-formatting-text
•	We believe that the ability to format text (e.g., bolding, italics, bullet points) in survey questions and instructions would significantly improve the clarity and readability for testers.
•	This would help them focus on the key objectives of each question and make the survey less overwhelming, as currently large blocks of text can be difficult to digest.
•	Implementing these formatting shortcuts would enhance the overall testing experience and likely lead to more focused and accurate feedback.
•	Below is an example of what the question looks like without formatting.

Creating Highlight reels is soo time consuming and the platform is sooo slow.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gaining insights into from our players and getting to know them.

 ### 43. Attending webinars

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The quality of the topics and their relevance to market trends and growth are the main reasons I attend. The webinars are also tailored to the market I work in as a product designer, making them a valuable opportunity to deepen my understanding of the health industry and expand my knowledge.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Some of the testing structures have a curvier learn than the others but overall after playing around they click and are usable

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to testers and both qualitative and quantitative testing are key benefits. The main value is being able to test our designs, gather data to support iteration and improvements, and provide evidence to other teams and stakeholders when planning enhancements and changes.

 ### 44. Great tool for user research and testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

The most helpful tools I have found for UserTesting are the different types of tests available. There are moderated/unmoderated/etc. It is easy to use and implement.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

What I dislike about UserTesting is the notes section for the videos. It's a small area and feel it could be improved for my needs.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem UserTesting is helping with is the why and what. What do contributors do when faced with a new or current experience and why!

 ### 45. Great for reaching a broad group of people, but not without its quality faults

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia S. | Director of UX Research, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It makes it super easy to get feedback asynchronously for specific groups of people. It's great for testing things quickly and getting a "gut check" on certain projects. The customer support is also really helpful, I love that I can chat them basically any time and they always get back to me quickly.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

I find the quality of participants can vary, and I also question how many testers they actually have. I notice that some testers often repeat across our different brands.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us derisk changes in our app.

 ### 46. Indispensable tool in our UX Arsenal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony R. | Sr. User Experience Manager | Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

User testing has provided a platform to generate a better understanding for both our product and marketing team. UT's immense stock of viable participants has opened up testing for us and sped up our processes. With a wonderful, supportive community, it truly is a platform that no UXer should be without.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

It can be cost-prohibitive for individual contributors. It's something you may have to lobby for at your organization, but the sales team is great and can help in that regard.

**Recommendations to others considering UserTesting:**

You'll find that once you start using highlight reels and sharing the findings with colleagues around the organization, interest in the tool will skyrocket.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a smaller team, I'm able to handle a variety of requests from the organization easily, leaving more time spent processing the findings than coordinating meetings, screen shares, etc..

 ### 47. Helpful for quick turn feedback and research

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It's fast and the video-on nature of it ensures quality. The team is able to conduct tests very quickly (same day or overnight usually) to get feedback to teams on anything from UI to marketing assets in an agile way.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Some capabilities could be improved in terms of offering more complex question logic. Also they are improving the analysis capabilities but still could use improvement in how it helps make synthesis quicker/easier and exporting results (still some manual work involved with copy/paste).

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understand how people respond to our marketing messages and get feedback on product UI/experiences so we can identify opportunities for improvement. Also sometimes helps with foundational insights on topics that we just need some quick info on.

 ### 48. Valuable tool for qual research!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

It helps conducting research super easy and quick especially when using their panel to recruit. I also appreciate all the new features constantly being added.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

If it had more integrations, that’d be great

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We always need to hear from our customers as well as potential customers so being able to quickly create studies, rolling them out and quickly getting insights is great

 ### 49. Quick and easy way to access participants

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jules O. | UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

We have been able to easily access very niche users through user testing with screener questions and participant demographic filters. For most tests, we can get all the participants we need in less than 12 hours and often times quicker than that. UserTesting has streamlined our process beyond what we could have imagined before! UserTesting has also been very active in the research they do on their own platform, which has been very encouraging to be a part of.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

Some of the features and functionality for quantitative analysis are still pretty lacking. I know they are currently merging with UserZoom that should bring more robust quantitative features though. My only other dislike would be the clunkiness of their highlight reel creation. The flow of creating the reels could be much smoother than it is currently.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Participant recruitment and expediting test analysis. It has expedited our entire research process by at least 2 or 3 times what it would be without UserTesting.

 ### 50. Handy for get valuable results quickly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas N. | Design Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about UserTesting?**

UserTesting.com is a very handy tool for quickly achieving valuable results. If you have the skills to build your own digital prototypes, you'll get insights in minutes to help you launch better products. Moreover, whenever I encountered an issue during a session, their support was prompt.

**What do you dislike about UserTesting?**

No comments on the tool features, but the price is the only downside.

**What problems is UserTesting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather user feedback data to validate interface designs and support proposals during stakeholder discussions.
