## Condens Reviews
  ### 1. Amazing Research Program for College Students & Professionals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy M. | Qualitative Researcher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I really appreciate the customer support team at Condens--they are very friendly, and it's easy to chat with them and get help with your questions. I also appreciate that the product is easy to use, and they are very mindful with their approach to AI.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

There aren't any downsides to Condens; it's fast and easy to use, and I appreciate that I can still do my human inputs and analysis vs. having the AI do it for me.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Condens primarily for academic qualitative research as a PhD student, and I was using Dovetail before to code my data, but they put a paywall over my favorite basic features--highlight and tagging--and Condens has this available for free + a robust student plan. Condens is helping me learn how to be a qualitative researcher and values the human-inputs in research analysis, which is something I can't say other products or companies are doing.

  ### 2. Perfect Balance of Power and Simplicity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I love using Condens as it helps me manage and organize large amounts of data, including video and audio recordings, and transcribing. It's perfect for highlighting and tagging my findings. As a designer researcher, I appreciate the balance between power and simplicity, and that it's intuitive and easy to use without compromising on smart features. It's well designed by people who truly understand user needs. The customer service is outstanding—super friendly, human, and deeply supportive! Switching from Dovetail to Condens has been great because it's not only easy to set up but also offers the features I need at a price I can afford as a freelancer.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The AI feature should be integrated into smaller plans. As an independent user, I cannot afford the business plan. A freelancer or single entrepreneur could benefit from a 'customized' plan somehow. Also, it would be super helpful to update highlighted quotes to make them more impactful, like changing words or shortening sentences.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Condens to manage and organize large amounts of data, video, and audio recordings. The ability to transcribe, highlight, and tag findings is great.

  ### 3. Condens Makes Qualitative Tagging Manageable and Reveals Themes Fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Tagging and analyzing qualitative data used to be the part of research I dreaded most. Condens makes it manageable. The way you can tag across sessions and start to see themes emerge is genuinely useful.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The smart tagging is a good start, but the AI analysis and synthesis side still needs work. I'd love to see it go further - like actually helping you draw conclusions from your data, not just organize it.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The big problem with qualitative research is that insights get scattered and hard to act on. Condens solves that by keeping everything organized and making it easy to tag and cross-reference. I catch patterns in my data that would have slipped through the cracks otherwise.

  ### 4. Thoughtful Research Workflow Design with Fast, Personal Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is a platform that really understands the day-to-day work of researchers, and it nails the details. At every step of my workflow, the things I want are simply there: a checkbox to mark a session as processed, and the ability to rearrange the metadata in the overview exactly how I prefer. Those are just a couple of small touches, but they’re the kind of details that show Condens genuinely understands research work.

I also love how whiteboarding, note-taking, and more are kept as an integral part of the main screen. There’s no need to awkwardly click back and forth between processing interview sessions and analysis; you can have both visible at the same time with a simple pull-out split screen. The way they display videos, how you interact with them, and how easy it is to create snippets (etc., etc.) all follow the same thoughtful approach. It may sound trite, but these little things really do matter, and they make working in Condens much easier and more enjoyable.

A lot of research platforms seem to offer similar features, but they’re often less intuitive and not as well thought through as Condens. And now the AI functionalities they’re releasing match that same pattern: they actually make sense within my work process.

Their support is personal and fast as well.

I don't use many integrations, but the ones that I do work well. I've never had an issue with performance and the pricing is fair. I just wish that more premium features were available to teams of 1 as well. But that goes for many providers.

Overall, Condens is my favorite tool to work with. As an analysis and repository tool specifically, but also generally speaking in the space of tools we need in Research and ReOps.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

As mentioned above: I wish some more premium features were available to non-enterprise customers as well. I'm on the Lite plan, being a team of one and often working freelance. I too would like some automated scrubbing of PII. Those pains exist for all researchers (if they do their job well). 😅

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Obviously, interview transcription, analysis and synthesis. As well as presentation to stakeholders.

  ### 5. An Intuitive, Powerful Platform for Scaling Customer Discovery and Insight Synthesis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is exceptionally intuitive and easy to adopt, even for users who are new to customer discovery and qualitative research. In our work conducting customer discovery for novel research technologies, teams regularly complete 100+ interviews every six months, and Condens has made it remarkably simple to upload, organize, and work with a wide range of interview formats and transcripts.

The collaboration features are a standout. Multiple team members can code, synthesize, and analyze interviews simultaneously without friction, which is critical for collaborative research efforts. The interface makes qualitative coding feel approachable rather than overwhelming, allowing novice users to focus on generating insights rather than wrestling with the software.

I also really appreciate how easy it is to share results with external stakeholders and clients. Condens makes it simple to provide visibility into the analysis, and clients can meaningfully contribute to synthesis and interpretation without needing extensive onboarding or training.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

I've only had minor issues with Condens. The main issue I ran into was onboarding limited access team members. Sometimes, they would have trouble seeing the project I added them to and they would need to search for it. I had to walk a few team members through the process of locating the projects I wanted them to contribute to. It would also be great if 'participants' could be separated by projects. We perform customer discovery for vastly different projects that don't really share common participants.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens solves the core challenge of managing, synthesizing, and making sense of large volumes of qualitative interview data. When conducting customer discovery for early-stage research technologies, teams often collect dozens (or hundreds) of interviews across multiple hypotheses, use-cases, and stakeholder groups. Without a centralized and well-designed system, tracking insights, ensuring consistency in coding, and synthesizing findings would be extremely difficult.

By using Condens, we’re able to:
-Maintain a single source of truth for all interview data
-Systematically code and synthesize insights across teams
-Turn qualitative interviews into actionable, evidence-backed insights
-Share findings clearly and transparently with clients and collaborators

This has significantly improved both the rigor of our customer discovery process and the quality of the insights we deliver. Condens enables teams—especially those new to qualitative research—to work in a structured, collaborative, and professional way while producing results that are easy for external stakeholders to understand and act on.

  ### 6. Exceptional Transcription Accuracy for Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ariba R. | UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

It meets my needs, and in an excellent way.

I want to make transcriptions of my interviews so I can a) analyse them well b) share my experience with my teammates. I find it's very helpful for them to review an interview quickly and we all code together. The best part is the way it can very accurately judge different voices, and capture words really well, as compared to other transcription tools I've tried.

Additional bonus: it follows GDPR guidelines. So I feel very comfortable uploading my data on it.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The only downside is that I don't wanna try out any other transcription tool.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me work better in a team or group, especially when everyone in the team isn't a UX researcher.

  ### 7. Speeds Up Turning Data Into Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

It speeds up my process of turning data into insights

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

not really intuitive in folder structure and active project.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's time saving as I don't have to go over all the interview recordings. It suggests highlights which then easily can be turned into a (draft) report

  ### 8. Great platform to store and transcribe data

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catalina C. | Doctoral researcher and research assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

That I can use it organize and transcribe the recordings for my projects without worrying of misuse of data because of their privacy policy. I can also edit those transcriptions with ease online, using the commands to follow the audio as I proof them.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The platform is not so intuitive to use and the transcription service has some troubles recognizing the voices in audios with more than 2 participantes. Also, I noticed that the platform has a lot of features that I guess could be helpful to my student/research work but I am not sure what they are for or how to take advantage of them. I would use it more frequently if I could figure out their use for my work.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transcription and organization of interviews (audio and transcription) for my doctoral research.

  ### 9. Perfect for Interview Transcriptions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luisa N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I like Condens because it is user-friendly and offers a student plan for free. Setting it up was really easy, which I appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

nothing

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Condens to bring together different sources of interviews (text, voice message) and transcript them.

  ### 10. Great tool, great company!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Audrey M. | UI / UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Still love all these things! It is both stunningly simple and deeply complex at the same time. I think there's a pretty small learning curve, and as we're working toward democratization and providing guardrails to help new roles do some of their own research, it was important to find a platform that would be simple for people to pick up. The drag-and-drop feature is super powerful. I'm always discovering more delightful features. They incorporate AI in an intentional and impactful way that enhances the researcher's value and efficiency, allowing more time for thoughtful analysis. Everyone on my team has loved it so far, and it's so easy to build up our repository right from the research completed. I make a lot of templates for our organization, both study types and artifacts, and it has been great to be able to create those to support others coming on to the platform. On top of all the amazing features, ease of use, ease of learning, and powerful capabilities, I am enamored with Condens as a company for how engaged they are with customer feedback. I always get a response to any feedback I send in. Sometimes it's to ask clarifying questions, and multiple times it has been to say, "We are actually releasing that feature this week!" or "We just released that feature today, just refresh your page!" What this says to me is that they are very in tune with what their users want and need. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, as they are a platform that supports research / user-centered design and development :)

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

There isn't great support for analyzing quantitative data or viewing survey results. It's very possible to do what you need to do with making charts, but it's just a little more tedious than native survey tools' reporting features. The transcription is pretty good in general, but there is room for improvement there. It is certainly a huge improvement from other transcription tools, it's good at recognizing speakers and making edits, but sometimes it just falls short. It'd be great to be able to train it on custom vocabulary. The Whiteboards (kinda like a miro board, but integrated with your tags and research directly) are a great concept, but the usability is kinda tough. It's hard to figure out what you're selecting and moving, and harder to pick up for people who don't use it often. It's great to have, though, for affinity mapping the highlights that are already made in the platform, just wish it was a little bit of a smoother experience. These are just a handful of things, and I had to go into Condens and look around to remind myself what things I dislike, because it is such a great tool. And because they are always making improvements and taking feedback, I have full confidence these things will improve over time.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Consolidating research into one space
- Easy analysis and report creation
- Assists in making it easy for mentoring new people to do research
- Makes all research accessible for self-serving
- Allows for establishing standard ways of working

  ### 11. Great Research Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria E. | Lead User Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

-The transcription
-the video clip download to include in reports
-stakeholder involvement

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

I have nothing really I dislike - maybe the only thing is that I would like different teams to have different project folders that they cannot access. I think this is part of the enterprise solution, which is not what we need atm.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The basic is that it is a research tool that helps us go through the research data in an easy way. It also helps us in invovling the stakeholders when they cannot come on the research trip with us or cant parttake in the life interview. Also great with reporting. We have also started using it as a repository which is still very much wip but good to see patterns across teams.

  ### 12. Good way to centralize User Research

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renan J. | Senior Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Centralised place for UX Research within the company. It allows people to more easily make an understanding of the raw qualitative data, especially because of the use of a great video transcription feature.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Customer support have been helpful in identifying possible sessions with the company, to board in the new tool, but recent changes in the plans made things we needed more expensive.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UX Research is with a low maturity in the team, and I think Condens can help in identifying possible business benefits research can bring to the table. It is also, for product and design people, a great resource of information gathered. We are trying to test the new AI features and it looks promissing.

  ### 13. Affordable, Feature-Rich UX Research for Daily Student Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ladislava Z. | Odborná asistentka / Assistant Professor at KISK, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I use Condens.io with my students almost daily. After trying out several platforms for UX research, Condens emerged as the most affordable option that also offers all the features we need, from automatic transcription and real-time collaboration to sophisticated evaluation.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Only the need to renew the EDU license every semester.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to the EDU licences, my students can try one of the best UX research solutions on the market free of charge, taking their projects to a much higher level.

  ### 14. Empowers Research Teams with Seamless Data Capture and Stakeholder Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaac K. | Design Operations Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens has been an awesome platform that has helped our Research Team easily capture the important data from a variety of channels and more importantly provide visibility into what we learned to our Stakeholders. On top of that the Condens team has been great to work with.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Can't think of anything useful to be honest :)

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens helped us capture various stakeholder interviews and make their feedback visible to all other internal stakeholders

  ### 15. Main tool for user research practicioners

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor K. | Lead UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Clear interface and controls, no unnecessary clicking. The team frequently adds new features that are thoughtful and based on user needs. Everything from uploading conversations to processing them and sharing them with colleagues can be handled very well. It's a good tool for companies looking to democratize research; I've involved all developers in Condens in addition to UX designers. Their support team is always helpful and reacts quickly.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Condens offers basic simple management of participants and the ability to add and change their data. But it's a shame that this area - respondent management - doesn't cover more scenarios (integration with email, creating target lists, signing consents, distributing rewards, etc.). This leads to the necessary use of additional tools and the associated inefficiencies. However, this can be covered by available integrations, which requires the involvement of developers or system administrators.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In Condens, I am mainly dealing with the most important and time-consuming part of the research process - the processing of user interviews. It is possible to manage the metadata for individual interviews well, to get automatic transcripts in very good quality (especially English and Czech), the analysis process is also very good, and taking notes and assigning tags is easy. Data synthesis can then be done not only linearly in a text editor but also graphically in a canvas a la Figjam or Miro, with the advantage that the data remains linked all the time and therefore it is always possible to trace back to the original interview where the insight came from.
The other part that is really powerful in Condens is sharing results and reports to other team members. Sensitive data is only available to company employees who have simple collaborative tools thanks to the SSO deployment.

  ### 16. Extremely helpful to organize Research results

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria S. | Mid-level UX Researcher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I enjoy many of its features: tags to categorize information; different types of artifacts to match my analysis flow; search function; highlights; good transcription and bookmarks. It has been very helpful to centralize research data, which prior to using Condens we were seriously lacking.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

It could be easier to generate charts and quantitative results.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens is a tool that helps us have a "source of truth" for our research data, makes it easy to navigate all research results, and streamlines the analysis of qualitative data to generate insights and recommendations for the team.

  ### 17. My Go-To Software for Qualitative Research in my PhD

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlotte K. | Doctoral Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I love how Condens serves as an end-to-end solution for my qualitative research in my PhD projects. From effortless transcriptions with speaker attribution and bookmarks to tagging and organized tag groups, Condens stands out to me for its intuitive interface and relevant features.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

There’s nothing I particularly dislike about Condens, but I would really appreciate the option to attribute tags to specific individuals. In my PhD research, multiple people often code the same sessions, and it would be incredibly helpful to easily compare codes across researchers

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens is meeting my need for intuitive coding software. As I supervise both undergraduate and graduate students, it’s important to me that they’re able to conduct proper coding. With Condens, I’m confident that the software will not be a limiting factor for them.

  ### 18. Condens – My Go-To Tool for Qualitative Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karolina K. | Freelance Journalist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I’ve been using Condens for over three years now—first as a researcher in a venture builder, then as an Insights Department Lead in a business design studio. It quickly became my go-to tool for qualitative research analysis. Today, I also introduce Condens to my students studying UX design and research, and management. We use Condens while working on student UX research projects for NGOs, and I know that many of my students go on to use it in their professional practice afterward.

What I love most is how user-friendly and intuitive it is—it truly makes the often messy work of research feel smooth and enjoyable. The support team is excellent, and I especially appreciate their educational offer, which has been a huge help for both teaching and student projects. Condens is a reliable, well-designed platform that grows with you as your research practice evolves.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Honestly, there's nothing I dislike about Condens. They consistently improve the tool by adding thoughtful features like the whiteboard or AI features, which shows they really listen to user needs.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens helps me streamline the entire qualitative research process – from organizing transcripts and conducting thematic analysis to analyzing usability tests and collaborating on insights within team. It’s also great for brainstorming and structuring ideas. Having everything in one place saves time, keeps projects organized, and makes teamwork much smoother. It also shows my students that the research process can be fun, easy, and rewarding—something they often don’t expect at the start.

  ### 19. Easy to Use and Self-Explanatory, with Helpful Video Guides

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Condens?**

It's easy to use! Pretty self-explanatory and also they provide videos

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

I think that sometimes the ai bookmarks aren't as helpful

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analysing interviews

  ### 20. Love Condens for Academic Research!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle G. | Program Director, M.S. Sustainable Fashion, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is amazing for managing qualitative, discourse-based research projecrs across faculty, students, and collaborating organizations. It is amazingly intuitive but for those who may need more support, it offers a ton of videos and support content to get you up to speed. The trascription and translation tools are beyond amazing and certainly beat out platforms like Otter.ai which I have used in the past for accuracy and fit for purpose. The AI support of insights from the transcriptions is also very powerful and maybe the best part of the whole platform.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

I wish it had a few more tools for co-managing quantitive data derived from the qualitative inputs. I'm now managing that for our research projects outside of Condens but would love to have it all in one spot for my projects.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The speed of producing insights. Condens really supports real time insights from the use of thematic tagging. This, of course, could be done manually (as I have done in the past before Condens), but takes insanely long. I revceive real time insights as I am working, which really supports the outcomes of our research and cuts down on admin work to produce insights.

  ### 21. Condens has made analysing and sharing research insights so much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

It's very easy to get started with the tool - simple and logical UI and UX. Platform design is clear and has no unnecessary bells and whistles. Project management and insights analysis is very simple and straightforward. Interview transcripts (at least from English, haven't tested other languages) are made fast and are on good level. It's very easy to find insights on some specific topic and to share video clips and verbatim inside the organisation (heavily supporting customer obsession in our organisation). Condens team is very open to suggestions and always tries to offer solutions if we have questions around how to use something. Let's see what's the new AI- era brings to Condens :)

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Maybe it comes down to my skills, but I would need better instructions on how to make the reporting visually more appealing.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Get qualitative insights fast in a well-structured format, and increase customer obsession and transparency of customer feedback within our organisation.

  ### 22. My experince with Condens

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Being able to have your data, notes, and artifacts all in one place with an interface that allows you to easily navigate between them makes for a very smooth experience. Adding codes is intuitive and I appreciate how easy it is to reference tagged information. The interface itself has been easy to learn and looks solid.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

If Condens had more robust export options that would take things to the next level. I appreciate how well everything works together in the system but there are always times when you will need to work outside of the tool. Exporting tagged data is possible but there are little to no options in how Condens formats the spreadsheet you get and this can be an issue at times.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens is providing a platform to store, organize and analyze qualitative data. Having a tool specifically/thoughtfully built for this purpose is nice compared to having to use multiple tools that may not be designed for that specific purpose.

  ### 23. A thoughtful tool for qualitative research and teaching

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josef K. | Service design lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens makes both the analysis and synthesis of interview data feel smooth and intuitive. All features reflect real researcher workflows. I especially appreciate the automatic transcription and the gentle, non-intrusive use of AI. I also enjoy how easily I can combine different types of data sources. As a university lecturer, I find it incredibly helpful to follow my students’ progress (10+ projects) and support them directly within the platform as they learn how to work with qualitative data.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The learning curve can be a bit steep for newcomers.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens helps me (and my students) stay focused on the meaning of qualitative data instead of getting lost in documents and spreadsheets. It solves the problem of fragmented research workflows by keeping everything in one place — from raw data to insights. For teaching, it’s a game-changer: I can create shared projects, monitor progress, and guide students through the actual thinking process behind qualitative analysis.

  ### 24. Excellent qualitative analysis tool for small teams and upwards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

- One of few tools that offers breadth of pricing for a team of one through to a larger org
- Video clipping tool is invaluable for sharing aha moments and insights with stakeholders
- Great flexibility for analysis with whiteboard or transcript mode

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Global tagging not available on the lowest pricing tier

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sense of qualitative interviews and research in a structured way - no more stickies getting lost in Miro

  ### 25. Flawless data analysis for research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomáš M. | Assistant professor / UX researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Intuitive UX makes it easy to start using the tool out of the box. We just loaded data from our focus groups and directly started coding it without any technical trouble. The transcript function works even for our specific language (Czech): it needs to be proofread, but the initial quality is higher than other tools I tried before.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Could be super cool to be able to do content analysis of visual documents as well, like photographs etc. - maybe it's possible, but I didn't tried it yet.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cooperating easily while analyzing and interpreting research data.

  ### 26. Excellent Tagging, But Project Organization Can Improve

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vilma V. | Especialista, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

The tagging process of it, which greatly facilitates the analysis process.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The way projects are organized, sometimes it is difficult to find a theme.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Research on flow mapping.

  ### 27. Powerful tool and team behind it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophie B. | Senior UX Design Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

So helpful with atomic research, easy to review transcripts, create highlights, then findings to create the reports. So easy to work with various stakeholders and give them visibility on the user research, they can search by keywords, and i can share video extracts. So useful to be able to search within the Condens repository with keywords to find past research. Even the support is fabulously helpful and reactive. They just helped me recover lost highlights of a session i had erased by mistake, and were so reactive i could still work on the report in time.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

i would not know... honnestly. Maybe the fact that the name of my company is always wrongly put in the transcripts...

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Atomic research, user research repository, tool to build deliverables like personas, user journeys, reports

  ### 28. Best tool for User Research we've worked with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pascal F. | Co-Founder and CPO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Condens?**

The best thing is that we can quickly get a transcript from interview recordings and highlight the key parts to share with the team. The video clipping feature is just great as it transmits the interviewee’s emotions to our coworkers – that makes it so much more authentic.

Overall the tool is just neatly designed and provides a superior user experience.
The team at Condens is very quick in introducing improvements but always keeps product quality and usability high. The tool is very easy to learn and everyone gets it after just a few minutes.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

There’s nothing we dislike really. A nice feature would be the ability to create personas or user journeys directly in Condens. Maybe that’s something they will add in the future.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can extract relevant insights faster and let everyone in the team actually be close to our users. This improved understanding for user problems and also increased motivation as we like to share positive things as well.

  ### 29. Very comfortable and fast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis F. | UX Research Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I greatly value the speed with which it processes information. The customer service works phenomenally.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The price is not very affordable. But luckily, it has an Education plan.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an excellent repository of information, while also helping to improve research insights.

  ### 30. Condens - A wonderful and intuitive tool for qualitative research and data analysis.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eshwar V. | UX Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens has so far been the best tool I have used to organise and analyse my research, I have used it for 2-3 projects and all of them I got exactly what I expected from condens,

The tool seamlessly allows me to import my recordings or notes and also transcribes it for me, thats a huge one because I dont have to spend time transcribing a recording or a video to start analysing it and marking it.

The tags feature works very intuitively when it comes to the analysis and synthesis phase of research.

Another interesting feature that really works great is the split screen feature where i can seamlessly interact with my artifacts, findings or notes while going through my main research sessions or notes.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Condens is acloud based platform and some times its a worry abotu how my data is being handled, its would be great to know that none of the data being uploaded is accessed by third parties.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens is the one stop tool for me to document my research insights, to synthesise them and also to oput them out in front of my stake holders, it all happens in one place while also supercharging this whole experience with their intuitve controls, AI features and transcription features.

  ### 31. Great Help

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

The fidelity and quality of the transcription

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

For the way I use it, it’s enough that it gives me good audio transcriptions.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The need for good audio transcriptions, which it meets by providing me with those good transcriptions.

  ### 32. Qualitative Academic Research Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Before I found Condens, I was always reluctant to use further analysis software, as they often come with high learning curves and complicated user interfaces. Not so Condens. I have tried it out for one qualitative project, loved it, and been using it ever since, it really boosted my research efforts.

I love the auto-transcription function and its accuracy, which I haven't experienced in other tools. The ability to listen to specific parts of your interviews while tagging them is super helpful as well as the automatic generated bookmarks.

I also like that it is in the EU and GDPR compliant.

Plus, the customer support is friendly and quick in replying if you encounter any issues and they are also very open for feedback.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

I would like to have better import and export functionalities from and to other tools to also integrate more quantitive data. Further, it would also be nice, if transcripts could be exported and imported with timestamps.
When you have a project with many tags, it can get a bit tedious.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analyzing qualitative data

  ### 33. The Tool That Made The Biggest Impact On Our Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan P. | Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is intuitive, fast and easy to use. We had been looking for the right qualitative tool for a while, and nothing was checking all the boxes. We tried Condens and kept getting pleasantly surprised on the first project we went through. The taggins system makes codification simple and enjoyable but being able to quickly pull clips from video interviews has probably saved us the most time, where we used to use complex editing tools to find the right clip. Also, being able to search all interviews easily has been a dream in finding specific insights and recurring themes.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

It would be great if there were US-based servers, it's an odd request but some of our clients require that.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's streamlining our process around research and analysis.

  ### 34. The best all-in-one transcription and annotation tool, bar none.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is by far the most competent all-in-one transcriptions and annotation tool for research, that I've found so far.

The transcription service alone is worth the subscription cost -- it automatically detects different speakers, and the ability to live edit the transcript while listening (and it highlighting the words being said live) are killer features.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

I have two wishes for features in Condens, both have to do with flexibility.
The first is that I think project management is a little unwieldy for research products. I would love to have slightly more granular control over what a project is, who is participating as researchers and who the participants are.
Next, I would prefer a few more simple options for data collection. I appreciate the collaboration features, but something I would just like to put everything in a spreadsheet and automatically count how many times a word was mentioned (this feature might exist, but I haven't found it).

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens is simply the best online solution for transcription and collaborative coding of said transcriptions.

  ### 35. Very efficient tool for atomic user research in a big organisation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophie B. | UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I use Condens almost every day. I like the fact that we can create tags so the user research repository brings value to the whole organisation. A PO, a fellow researcher or anybody can search through past and ongoing research.

It allows for atomic research; a very efficient way of analysing user research: importing the Teams video after each session, reveiwing the transcript, creating highlights, grouping highlights from the various sessions to create findings, and then very quickly creating a report by drag and dropping the findings, et voilà :)

Condens make it also easier to share insights with my team. My PO or anybody with access to a project can add comments, which makes it very collaborative when drafting the project guide or the report. I also like to share findings in the form of video extracts just after the session to my core team via Teams. Very impactful.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

I still need to get acquaintened to some templates like the user journey map which does not fit perfectly my need and takes a lot of clicks to be adjusted.

Also adding new users from outside my researcher team can be a husle. But Condens Customer Support is always very reactive.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralize user research, analyze, classify, build report with video extracts

  ### 36. Small company which delivers exceptional quality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

The features are very helpful and easy to use, the performance of the software is very good. We use the software every day. What was most important for us: they are GDPR compliant and host their servers in the EU which only very few tools offer. In addition, export of a lot of data is possible. We discovered an issue and this problem was handled very fast. Furthermore, if there are any (feature) requests, you can always reach Condens via email and they take customer requests very seriously.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

No real downsides, there are some features we are waiting for but they are already in development.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens facilites documentation and makes deriving findings easier. Presentations to stakeholders are very well received since you have many options to make the report look appealing. Stakeholder engagement increased, they are enthusiastic about the stakeholder repository and reports.

  ### 37. Helps me to be so much more organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vera H. | UX researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

I like how organized Condens is, it really helps me to be organized myself. And besides that, the transcript function works incredibly good and saves me lots of time.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The only issue I had was sometimes during a transcrip it was a bit harder to add another speaker because it wouldn't always automatically select the right speaker.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The transcribing tool saves me heaps of time. That's the biggest benefit. When I do interviews or observations when people talk I upload it to Condens and it will automatically transcribe my data (in danish and english in my case), I still have to check it, mainly when there are a lot of different young people talking, but it works really well and it saves me so much time.

  ### 38. Would recommend Condens to any UX researcher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pauline V. | UX Researcher & Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Transcripts of videos, with automatic bookmarks, the way you can higlight pieces of text, add tags and then use those highlights to build your report is so much easier with Condens than before. I also really like the charts feature, which allows me to filter and easily see common themes etc. I also like that you can anonomize and share your report throughout the org. I like all of it really.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

You put more time in tagging the raw data, but it's a win in the end when building the report. Dutch transcripts could be a bit better, often have to correct quite a bit, also in the punctuation.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You don't loose the richness of your data, because using the highlights allows you to build your report from there. It's much easier to keep an overview of your sessions and to share your research.

  ### 39. Easy tool for qualitative analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Easy for the group research! It's my first time doing qualitative analysis but was easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Json file is not available for input. We have to convert the file type manually.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping data anlysis, user study

  ### 40. All your findings in one pace

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

The transcription is very accurate in English and in Italian!
I love the highlights feature, with a little organization it makes your analysis super easy and helps creating clips and powerful video insights

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

I think the usability of the highlights feature can be a little smoother - for example creating folders or categorize hightlights for each study / project
Not a fan of the home screen, can be more user friendly

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It excels at transcribing interviews in multiple languages, and the analysis is highly efficient thanks to the label and highlights feature

  ### 41. Easy to use and stellar customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is our company UX repository. I love the way it integrates with Zoom to upload videos, and how easy it is to edit videos/make clips, correct transcripts, and build reports.

I have had a few questions and when I contact Customer support, they are lightning fast to assit. The CTO himself even responds.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

The least helpful aspects on Condens are: pullout quotes - I would like a box like a newspaper to make it pop. I would also like embedded artifacts to copy when I copy reports.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves the issue of having a repository - somewhere to store all reports. It also makes video editing quick so we can turnaround reports faster than making a deck!

  ### 42. Game changer in research data organization and managment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Interface and features are phenomenal. Very easy to use and I love the tagging fields and subfields. Transcripts are accurate. Tons of great features to organize and analyze your content. Customer service team is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Not much, there are some aspects of the interface that doesn't exactly fit my workflow, so it can be a little bit limiting. But there are plenty of awesome features to work around this and the customer service team is great at incorporating feedback into updated versions.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing qualitative research notes and content and making it easy to analyze and summarize.

  ### 43. Condens: A Powerful UX Research Tool with a Minor Setback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is an impressive UX research software that stands out with its ultra-fast whiteboard, capable of handling a large volume of data points with ease. The Split View feature is particularly useful, allowing me to see the tags being used (highlights section) and the whiteboard simultaneously. The highlights section is equipped with a super powerful search function, which includes filtering of tags and many other features, making it incredibly handy. Additionally, the AI summary feature is a valuable tool that helps interpret highlighted quotes, saving time and providing insightful summaries.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Despite the many positive aspects, there is one major drawback that prevents me from continuing to use Condens. In the whiteboard, only one tag is visible on each quote. When two or more tags are used on a quote, they are not immediately visible and only appear when hovering over them. This limitation makes it harder to cluster quotes with multiple tags, adding an extra step to the process and reducing efficiency.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with interview analysis at scale, especially when working withj remote clients.

  ### 44. Condens is a great MRX/UXR tool built by a team that wants your input and acts on it

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is a simple and effective solution to our needs. Getting used to the UI takes a little bit, but after that short learning curve, it's a great experience. When I have questions, or suggestions, I get personal responses from folks who are truly interested in understanding my perspective and improving their product.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Some clients tell us they're confused by the UI

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Condens is how we deliver interview outputs to our clients, and then find the patterns or meaning in these interviews.

  ### 45. Great repository and tool for UX research

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens makes it very easy to perform basic tasks related to qualitative research, such as import recordings and transcribe them, create tag groups, tag interviews, keep track of previous and ongoing user studies, find and compare finding across multiple studies, etc. Also, being able to create and follow templates for projects, sessions, etc. speeds up our work significantly.
The two-panel layout and the possibility to drag insights from, for instance, tag groups to different types of artifacts is fantastic and very helpful, too.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

- While it's great that insights can be simply dragged and dropped to the Condens whiteboard, I unfortunately find the whiteboard itself quite "clunky" and not very intuitive to use, compared to other virtual whiteboards.
- The visualization options in both artifacts and whiteboards are quite limited, however I was happy to notice that it is finally possible to create tables in artifacts!
- At times I wish there were more "mass formatting" options for artifacts, such as defining media settings for clips for the entire artifact, instead of having to do that one-by-one.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us maintain a research repository, analyze findings in an organized and transparent way, and track findings across multiple studies.

  ### 46. A easy to use platform for capturing and analyzing data from user studies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

The AI transcribtion was really good along with the autogenerated summaries from both tag and the whole interview gave a quick and comprehensive overview of a user interview. This coupled with the tagging feature made it very easy to capture user insights from interviews

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

There are some slight issues with the autotranscribtion, where it doesn't always things very well when it comes to a smaller language such as danish

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transcribing and tagging interviews with end users. It makes it 10 times quicker to do these kind of things.

  ### 47. An Indispensable Tool for UX Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valéry-Xavier L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

- The integration with my other applications (Google Business, Figma, etc.)
- The management of insights
- An innovative and practical user interface
- Based in the European Union and GDPR compliant
- Responsive customer support that genuinely seeks to assist
- AI-generated automated interview summaries
- Regular updates

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

It takes some time to learn how to fully benefit from the interface.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analyzing each interview or user test and then compiling a report requires hours of work. With transcription, tools for selecting insights, and drafting reports, Condens saves valuable time and provides a comprehensive view of the collected data. Additionally, it allows for presenting results to stakeholders in a way that fosters greater empathy towards our users and their challenges.

  ### 48. Great collaborative video analysis tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

It's really great for a team to collaboratively analyzing videos. The transcript feature is really helpful, and being able to select a piece of the transcript and annotate is awesome

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Nothing major. It would be nice to have a canvas view, and it would be nice to have long-term free educatiaonal acess.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Supporting a team to analyze user study videos!

  ### 49. Really great (almost) do-it-all SaaS for research!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

Condens is an (almost) one-stop shop for UX research. It is great to manage users that have took part in different studies and share insights with different stakeholders. The product is being constantly developed and the team is easily approachable.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

Sometimes I am still afraid that making changes in one project will break all the others, but maybe that will solve itsel with more and more experience with Condens. Other than that, I wish there would be more privacy settings on published reports and the possibility to have a "booking page" integrated to my calendar -- fingers crossed to get them soon! :D

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes easier to manage different projects and the pool of users used in the user research sessions. It is also a great tool to share insights with the whole company.

  ### 50. It is amazing and the support is very helpful and quick

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karuna S. | UX Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Condens?**

The facility and tool itself is amazing for the researchers. Helping me with transcriptions in all the languages. Customer support is also very nice and quick.

**What do you dislike about Condens?**

No negative feature yet discovered.

**What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving my research analysis problems as qualitative
