I like the ease of searchability and the ability to discover contact information through LinkedIn profiles. I appreciate the keyword and phrase search feature for finding contacts when a name is not known. I find the contact lists can be inaccurate or out of date. Also, I'd like more specifics at an employer level, like a cleaner way to filter or break down contacts at a specific business. The ability to get contact information for people that I want to connect with at companies regardless of their LinkedIn profile even existing. Also, the comprehensive search tools make it easy to narrow down your contacts at companies to the specific people you're looking to speak with, for example, the IT Department at a software company that handles the hardware and not software or platform integrations. For me, the least helpful tool is getting personal e-mail addresses. I'm not trying to recruit people to work for me and I would find it extremely rude to contact someone at their personal e-mail address regarding their profession. I'd also prefer more specifics about phone numbers. It seems that Rocket Reach does have a hard time tracking virtual numbers and knowing if they are personal, professional, cellular, or something else such as a VOIP system. I like that the information provided is more accurate than on other platforms I’ve tried. It’s also very easy to integrate with an existing CRM, such as Hubspot. The main downside is that the filters for finding contacts aren’t as easy or as quick to use as I’d like. The browser extension also runs into issues at times, and I end up needing to restart it or even reinstall it. On top of that, it isn’t very easy to speak with a customer support representative when I’m trying to resolve a problem, since the first option is the AI powered chat. I like that most of the time, the emails are accurate, and the varied and quick search really stands out. Their business model is very heavily favored towards the business vs the client/consumer. Their month to month model is extremely limited compared to their annual model. They don't offer a trial period or a 30 day refund or anything. Once you pay, you're locked in no matter what. Thankfully I only tried the monthly subscription vs the annual subscription as the annual is hundreds of dollars.

Most importantly, their data was very poor. I was looking for prospects personal email addresses for email campaigns for my job. They said the most efficient method was using their extension via LinkedIn. I tried it for 10-15 prospects and I think I only got 1-2 personal email addresses from those efforts. Not worth $70/month.

I signed up for Rocket Reach for two hours, decided it wasn't going to work for me, and asked for a refund. Their team stuck to their guns and didn't issue a refund. Mind you I had just started with Rocket Reach that day. I signed up a couple of hours before. I had only used a handful of my credits and they still wouldn't issue a refund. In this day and age where companies offer trial periods, 30 day refunds, and are reasonable with disgruntled clients....I would steer clear of Rocket Reach. I appreciate that RocketReach usually has valid emails when other services don't. I like that it aggregates contact info with LinkedIn bios and often provides contact info or staff details that other sites don't list. I dislike that the page refreshes every time I switch between company and people with the main search bar. I dislike that the column width is fixed in a way that I almost always have to expand the person's bio to see the full title, for instance. It's weird that the search results seem to look different depending on how I've accessed the site (via a direct link or Google search, etc.); it's disorienting. I find RocketReach super easy to use. It's easy to find company and personal information, and it's well organized. I also like that it includes revenue figures, which are helpful. The initial setup was super easy and very intuitive; I didn't need to follow instructions, I just dove in and started using it, getting better as I went along. Being able to find email addresses, both business and personal, is one of the real keys for me. This feature is super helpful, especially when work emails are heavily filtered and tend to go to spam.
