mobile app and desktop app are extremely user-friendly. Aside from gmail, you can leverage the other tools that are included such as the calendar, hangouts, google docs, etc. It is the complete package! I frequently recommend this to others in my network Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like for the mobile app to be all encompassing. It's great for the general emails but if it was better with hangouts, google docs, etc. it would be a fantastic mobile experience. If they could add an appointment scheduling software to the calendar feature then there would be no reason to go anywhere else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Where do I begin? I switched from using Outlook, as I thought GMail would be light years ahead of Microsoft in terms of functionality and easy of use. Boy was I mistaken. It doesn't hold the formatting in Calendar invites that Outlook does so nicely, e.g., tables or rows and columns are not supported at all, and it has created havoc amongst my team and clients. The sync between using Outlook and GMail is very unreliable. I am constantly getting sync errors. For e.g., it's is often difficult to change a calendar invite or update it if it occurs in the past. Very annoying. You can't attach an email message as you can in Outlook,it looks like it's attached but not supported, so if you want to forward an email to a colleague or client, it won't happen. Same goes for trying to forward documents, its often problematic. Outlook allows a logical structure of using folders to file emails, that is easy and intuitive. Gmail is not at all easy or intuitive to use. For personal use I'm sure it's fine. Not for business use though. I've had problems both displaying and syncing calendars on multiple devices hot being accurate. Plus the color coding that Outlook provides for different types of events doesn't carry from one device to another. Sorry to sound so glum, but this was a horrible mistake and we are now going to migrate to Office 365 Live and expect to have this transition completed by 1/1/15.
