"The functionality is valuable, but there is room for improvement in performance."
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

As an individual developer, BrowserStack Live allows me to perform real device debugging and style comparisons across multiple devices/browsers without the need for my own equipment. It's easy to use, has low implementation costs, and I use it before every regular regression test. The screenshot/recording evidence is also sufficient, and it really enhances my efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

The device loading and session switching are relatively slow during peak hours, with occasional lag, and some models (such as the SIM-equipped iPhone) have a long cold start waiting time, affecting the continuity of debugging experience. If the startup speed and stability can be further optimized, it would be more worthwhile for long-term use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very useful for testing on different browsers and devices"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

I am using BrowserStack from last 3 years, and it helped me a lot in my daily testing work. What i like most is that i can run tests on real devices available on the cloud without having to maintain them separately. I utilize it for both manual and automation testing and integrating it with my Selenium Java framework and that was easy setup. Parallel runs of tests are a huge time saver for me, particularly for sanity and regression checks on our e-commerce site. The support team was also responsive whenever i needed assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Sometimes the test runs are a bit slower compared to local execution, when executing a large test suite. A decent internet connection is also necessary for good performance. Apart from that, the overall experience has been fantastic Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable cross-browser testing made easy"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

I really like how seamless it is to spin up different browsers and devices on demand. It saves me a huge amount of time, and I don’t need to worry about setting up local test environments. The integrations with CI/CD tools are also very handy, making it easier to catch issues earlier in the development cycle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Sometimes the sessions can be a little slower than running tests locally, especially for more complex builds. The pricing can also feel high for smaller teams, and a few niche devices or older browsers aren’t always available. That said, it’s still a lot more convenient than managing everything in-house. "It's a great product for testing mobile solutions."
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

BrowserStack is a highly praised platform for offering a wide range of real devices and browsers for testing, allowing you to validate applications and websites across different operating systems conveniently and without the need for physical labs. It stands out for its ease of use, integration with various CI/CD tools, support for automated testing, and the ability to replicate scenarios close to real-world user experience, ensuring greater reliability in results. Furthermore, the variety of mobile devices and browsers available is a major advantage for teams that need to ensure compatibility and quality across different environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

On the other hand, BrowserStack has some drawbacks that can impact the user experience. Its cost is considered high, especially for smaller teams or projects with limited budgets. In some cases, testing can be slow, especially when user traffic is high, and real-time performance isn't always perfect. Another aspect is that, despite the wide variety of devices, newer models may still be missing shortly after market launch, which can limit immediate testing on new hardware or specific operating system versions. "Streamlined Cross-Browser Testing Experience for QA Teams"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

What I like best about BrowserStack is the ability to instantly access a wide range of real devices and browsers without maintaining a physical device lab. It allows me to perform cross-browser and cross-device testing seamlessly, ensuring accurate results. The live testing sessions are smooth with minimal latency, and the platform makes it very easy to switch between different OS and browser versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Overall, BrowserStack is an excellent platform, but one area for improvement is the session speed and performance on certain devices, where occasional lag can be noticed during live testing on mobile. For example, when scrolling the screen on mobile devices, the response can sometimes feel slightly slower. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Three Years with Selenium, Appium, and BrowserStack: An Honest Review"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

I’ve been working with Selenium and Appium in Java for more than three years now, and during this time, one tool that has really become a core part of my setup is BrowserStack. In the beginning, I mostly used Selenium locally to automate web applications, but as soon as cross-browser coverage and multiple operating systems became a requirement, BrowserStack became the natural choice. Instead of maintaining a Selenium Grid or juggling driver and browser version mismatches, I could just connect my tests to BrowserStack’s cloud and instantly get access to all major browsers and versions. Running tests on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and even Safari on macOS machines became seamless, which is something I could never have pulled off locally without a lot of infrastructure effort.

One feature I found especially handy is the live debugging and video recordings of test sessions. Whenever a test failed, I didn’t have to just rely on stack traces or screenshots. BrowserStack gives you video replays, console logs, network logs, and device logs, which made debugging so much easier.

Parallel execution was another game-changer. Locally, running tests in parallel across browsers or devices always felt complicated, but with BrowserStack it was straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Test execution on BrowserStack is usually slower compared to running locally because of network latency and shared cloud resources. For long regression suites, this delay can add up significantly

Idle sessions often time out quickly. If you’re debugging or waiting for a build to complete, you might lose your session midway.

Since it’s cloud-based, the experience heavily depends on your internet connection quality. A poor connection can make debugging very frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"BrowserStack Review – A Game-Changer for Scalable, Reliable Test Automation"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

As a Test Manager driving an automation-first strategy and managing hybrid teams across onshore and offshore models, I’ve used BrowserStack extensively across multiple projects—from mobile app automation to large-scale transformation testing—and it’s become an essential part of our QA toolkit.

1. Real Device Cloud, Zero Maintenance

Gone are the days of managing our own device lab. With BrowserStack, we test on real iOS and Android devices, across versions, screen sizes, and network conditions. This has significantly improved our coverage and confidence before releases.

2. Seamless CI/CD Integration

BrowserStack plugs straight into our Azure DevOps pipelines, enabling automated regression runs and early feedback on every commit. This supports our shift-left testing strategy and aligns well with agile delivery.

3. Robust Support for Appium and Playwright

We use App Automate to run Appium tests on mobile and Percy for visual testing. The platform’s parallel test execution and flaky test handling have helped reduce test cycle times dramatically.

4. Visual Testing with Percy

Percy integration has been a standout, giving us pixel-perfect visual validation across app builds. It's especially useful when working with multiple UI stakeholders and design teams.

5. Secure Local Testing

BrowserStack's secure tunnel features allow us to test internal and staging environments without compromising security—essential for large enterprise environments like Spark.

6. Actionable Insights

Every test run comes with video logs, stack traces, console logs, and screenshots, making root cause analysis efficient—whether we’re debugging in-house or with vendor partners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Percy auto mode can be finicky when snapshot triggers aren't called explicitly. Clearer guidance or smarter detection would help.

Sometimes, debugging on certain devices is slower during high-traffic periods—though that’s improved with newer infrastructure updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Browserstack Saves Time, Money, and Project Deadlines"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

We use Browserstack devices to expand our selection of devices which helps tremendously when we need to reproduce issues on those specific devices without keeping a costly library of devices available at all times. That, and the fact that it is available when our primary devices are having issues is a huge time saver.

User support is pretty good. I normally have a response within a couple hours, and almost always before the end of the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Sometimes the UI forwarding seems to contaminate results, so everything we test that can be verified needs to be verified on a device we have in our library. While this is a pain, it is still much better that we have Browserstack available. Whenever the topic comes up, I insist that I need this to keep up a high standard of quality.

Logging is a bit hit-and-miss. Sometimes it doesn't load at all, sometimes the screen forwarding also seems to cause issues here as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for understanding end users' front end experiences"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

BrowserStack is extremely helpful for achieving a "true" view of a webpage, without the interference or influence of third-party browser plugins, firewalls, or internal caching issues. You can view your webpage live on a variety of devices and web browsers, with multiple version options for each to confirm backwards compatibility. It's a great tool for understanding what your end user's front end web experience is like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

Can run into firewall issues that prevent the browser view from loading on certain wifi networks--this is very company-specific, though, and likely outside of Browserstack's control. However, it can lead to difficulty loading the Browserstack browser view on some networks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely useful tool for doing QA testing"
What do you like best about BrowserStack?

We are able to test many more devices that we would be able to purchase on our own and keep up to date on the latest devices that get put out. We are also able to have a huge archive of older devices and older browsers for testing out of date versions and just different combinations of options. We have been able to find errors that we would have never been able to find otherwise without the huge library of resources. it is very easy to work with and add in our current process. We use this just about every week when we are working on various projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrowserStack?

A few of the features that that we use on our website do not function the exact same when we use BrowserStack. We have a list where they differ. One you get that figured out it makes it a great tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
