Honestly, I did not expect much from another test tool. But Qase surprised me. I set up the workspace in one sitting, added everyone, and by next day the team was working inside it. Nobody came to me with "how to do this" questions, and for me that is the best review a tool can get.

Small things also matter to me. Giving access to a new joiner is quick. Removing access when someone leave is quick too, so I can sleep peacefully. Cost per user is the main thing. For a small team it is fine, but when more people join, the bill grows fast, so you must plan early. Deleting or cleaning many old test cases also takes more time than it should. And a few settings were hidden at first, so I spent some time searching for them. After every server patch or cloud change, someone inevitably asks, “Did you check everything?” I used to answer, “Yes, I think so.” Now I just share the Qase test run link instead. It lays out every step clearly, shows who marked each one pass or fail and when, and the conversation usually ends right there.

I write my test cases like mini runbooks: check backups, check login, check disk and memory, and check the load balancer. That way, even a new team member can follow them at 2 AM without having to call me. Having shared steps saves time as well—I can update a step once, and it updates everywhere it’s used.
