I most like that Boardable brings all aspects of board management together into one, efficient space. You don’t need to rummage through emails or all the different folders as everything now sits in one place - documents, schedules, and meeting notes included. But what I also love is that it tracks action items and assign them to people so follow ups are easy and that puts people on their tracking. This makes it transparent, so that everyone can see what task they have been assigned and by what date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Boardable does get the basics right, but there are a few limitations as well. I’m having a rough time with the lack of customization as far as the meeting agenda templates go. They’re fine as they are, but a tad more flexibility would be useful when customizing what each offers for a type of meeting. Additionally, the notification system is far from perfect, for example, I can find myself getting so many notifications that it’s really hard to filter out the most important updates. The best thing I like most about Boardable is that it makes it possible to collaborate while you’re in the board meeting. The meeting materials are easily accessible, easy comments, and suggestions can easily be made as needed for everyone. I’ve found that the voting function is a real bonus for gathering quick feedback from the team and making decision making more efficient. We love that now that we can schedule recurring meetings we don’t have to do back and forth with whoever we’re scheduling with in order to pick a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What’s frustrating about Boardable is its inability to share meeting materials outside of the platform because it’s very rigid. If you want to reach someone who isn’t on the platform, it’s more effort than it should be and it’s not as smooth as I’d like. On top of that, on the platform it’s excellent for managing meetings, but it’s not really otherwise great for task management beyond what’s behind that meeting, which can be restrictive when you’re working on projects. What I love most about Boardable is how it’s transparent about collaboration across the board. It makes getting a clear overview of what every team member is working on, then organizes everything in a way that nothing slips through the cracks, easy. The best part has been that it has fostered a sense of accountability with the team. I also like how it keeps us all aligned, without a lot of bowing nose after bowing nose, and this also helps us to track decisions and action items very easily. I really like Boardable's features however one thing that I'm a bit annoyed with is the simple lack of flexiblity as it relates to meeting structures. The standard templates aren’t quite as good for our more complex meetings. I also wish, however, that there were more options to personalize the workflow to a more specific need. However, with meeting management options, you have to accept the fact that there are workarounds for meeting management, that might be time consuming and disrupt the flow of a meeting. I find that Boardable really helps boost accountability in our team. From attendance tracking to action item follow ups, features such as these have made tasks occur within time, thus boosting our productivity. I also like the way the document storage is secure and thus helps us keep our board discussions up to the mark during which we can share the information without being concerned about confidentiality issues. Also, it pulls our documents and agendas together in a central place, making it much easier to prepare and less stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Boardable’s main drawback can be mentioned as less efficiency when working with a large number of large boards simultaneously. This is particularly a problem with notifications which can become cluttered and sporadic because decisions and essential tasks get lost in notification jungle. In addition, the mobile version is not as interactive and functional as the desktop one, which is not very comfortable for a person who controls his colleagues and subordinates from one or another distance. Recently, Boardable has completely changed the way we manage and hold meetings. It simplifies scheduling as well as task and resource management and makes it lean on administrative overhead. It also made our documents storage and collaboration easier which has saved us to become more organized and effective. To keep the pulse of the projects, tracking and assigning action items right after the meetings has also ensured a smoother workflow and more accountability across projects. Boardable works well for many things, but report generation could use a bit of flexibility. It's hard to adjust reports to individual needs. Moreover, the mobile app is no where near smooth and responsive as the desktop one, so it does not quite come as a convenient option for people who tend to work away from the desktop. Additionally, syncing does not work always, so devices have sometimes had different information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Boardable helps me love how it enhances accountability in our meetings. With the feature of task management, we get to assign important action items and track the progress, while receiving feedback and following up as needed. But another standout is the agenda builder which keeps meetings focused and productive. It works extremely well dealing with reminders, keeping everyone unified and prepared. These have made a huge difference for how our team follows through on commitments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For those already using Boardable, one gripe I have is that task deadlines aren’t extremely flexible when it comes to customizing them. How it sometimes cont single project limits timelines of larger projects. Besides, it is sometimes facing file upload glitches during prep for meetings. So while these aren't a common occurrence, being able to resolve them can be very stressful when you are under a tight deadline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Dashboard interface for Boardable is a top notch, every tools and menu is specifically placed within its categories and making it easy for board members to find tools that they need, especially related to the meeting operation need. Coordination and meeting date schedule between participant is simple to organized, meeting reminder is sent to platform that particpant choose, either on email, calendar or on the notification center. Building meeting report based on minute meeting logs that is recorded automatically via audio has increase content accurancy and no important minute is mistakenly missing on the report. File sharing integration with OneDrive is messy and keep disconnecting. I have to connect it again when it show retriving error. I hope it will get fix soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What separates Boardable is collaboration, which is enabled through document sharing and real time posting of comments. Since it makes it a bit easier for board members to participate even if they can’t be there in person, making its main use case pretty clear. This keeps us moving quickly between meetings, and keeps us continuously collaborating. And, the opportunity to add comments to documents helps improve the quality of feedback passed between board members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The problem with Boardable is its document editing features are not as sophisticated as what you get from other platforms. There’s no real time collaboration on editing files, so we have to use external tools to work on documents with our team around, and throw a wrench in our process and introduce extra steps to get a simple job done. Sometimes this can lead to version control problems when more than one person is editing at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most impressive strength that I was able to capture from Boardable is improved ability in managing meetings. What is more, it consolidates the creation of agendas, tracking of action items, as well as document sharing. This integration we have with our calendar and email systems make scheduling easy and communication easier. It has especially enhanced it in the way meetings are scheduled, coordinated and conducted making it easier to ensure all team members are in synch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest downside that I have noticed when using Boardable is that it can be somewhat challenging to alter the action item tracking and the agenda templates at times. It can be somewhat rigid due to the set templates whereby it becomes a little hard to vary the templates to fit certain circumstances. Moreover, although the document management is valuable, the search functionality within the documents may take time and pause to show the result while searching for some information during the meeting. I like that Boardable makes it simple to schedule our board meetings and to share documents amongst each other. Agendas simplify preparation, allowing for us to upload agendas. One of the big helps for integration with Zoom, is that we can simply join meetings right from the platform. I like this task assignment tool because it not only assigns tasks, but keeps everyone accountable and on the same page for completion of tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The first con to Boardable is that notification system is quite limited, and sometimes team members miss updates or new document upload. That means we’ve had to set reminders to manually see if anything has changed which slows the workflow by just a bit. The document editor itself also has fewer features than we would like, making it is harder to work effectively with other people updating agenda update or meeting notes.
