Having more structure as a team has been helpful, especially as it relates to our meetings as we’re clearer than ever on what we’re working on and working out of order to accomplish it all. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** When it comes to the interface, Boardable has some limitations. Even though it comes with nice features, parts of layout and tools arrangement within the platform can be sometimes too disorganized. The documents or the notes of past meeting often can not be found quickly. There are also times when the notifications do not come through as intended, such that I miss some major updates as well as reminders. Clearly, the platform can really do with a more refined design and a more smooth way of dealing with notifications. **What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Really, Boardable has solved a hassle with our inefficiency of communication and organization during our board meetings. Previously, we would be off on disjointed email chains and disorganized notes. Thus all is now in one platform and we can monitor tasks, meeting agendas, and documents. Before the meeting even begins, everything is neatly organized, there’s no scrambling to find the perfect agenda or failing to come across missing documents. Another great addition to the built in voting feature makes it much easier to gather input. It eliminates rounds of back and forth emails or side conversations in order to make a decision. It’s a good way to maintain board discussions on track and productive. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** There is one thing that could be improved in Boardable, and that is the responsiveness of some of the features. Uploading or accessing documents sometimes takes a short lag that makes it harder to review files quickly. Having to rush while working with the app becomes annoying because the file refuses to upload. And I like that it helps keep everyone accountable too with backups, since you assign tasks and track progress it’s much smoother to follow up. For the sake of time, this has saved, and reduced the need to keep checking things. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** The main thing I don’t like with Boardable is the limited flexibility of adding custom agendas for meetings. These pre set formats are good, but sometimes they don’t fit exactly what we want, mostly when we need to change format for specific discussions or when things change without notice. I’ve come to wish my agendas were slightly more flexible so that such as collaboration with agendas related to specific meeting objectives. But we spent so much time searching emails and physical folders looking for documents before we even used it. You don’t need to rummage through emails or all the different folders as everything now sits in one place - documents, schedules, and meeting notes included. But what I also love is that it tracks action items and assign them to people so follow ups are easy and that puts people on their tracking. This makes it transparent, so that everyone can see what task they have been assigned and by what date. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** Boardable does get the basics right, but there are a few limitations as well. I’m having a rough time with the lack of customization as far as the meeting agenda templates go. They’re fine as they are, but a tad more flexibility would be useful when customizing what each offers for a type of meeting. The meeting materials are easily accessible, easy comments, and suggestions can easily be made as needed for everyone. I’ve found that the voting function is a real bonus for gathering quick feedback from the team and making decision making more efficient. We love that now that we can schedule recurring meetings we don’t have to do back and forth with whoever we’re scheduling with in order to pick a time. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** What’s frustrating about Boardable is its inability to share meeting materials outside of the platform because it’s very rigid. If you want to reach someone who isn’t on the platform, it’s more effort than it should be and it’s not as smooth as I’d like. On top of that, on the platform it’s excellent for managing meetings, but it’s not really otherwise great for task management beyond what’s behind that meeting, which can be restrictive when you’re working on projects. **What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?** For us, though, Boardable has helped solve a number of the meeting management problems. It has done away with multiple platforms for scheduling, collaboration on documents and tracking tasks. The reason this software has saved us so much time is the ability to gather feedback and input via the software. I also like how it keeps us all aligned, without a lot of bowing nose after bowing nose, and this also helps us to track decisions and action items very easily. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** I really like Boardable's features however one thing that I'm a bit annoyed with is the simple lack of flexiblity as it relates to meeting structures. The standard templates aren’t quite as good for our more complex meetings. I also wish, however, that there were more options to personalize the workflow to a more specific need. The agenda builder really cuts down the time consumed in its construction and the meeting reminders assist in the planning process. Having an area to store sensitive documents has been helpful and there are no hitches integrating Zoom for meetings. Their customer support is always prompt and friendly, and I have not encountered any issues with them yet. This software has been of immense benefit in aiding our board responsibilities and increasing efficiency. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** I do not like one thing about Boardable and that is the user interface is slightly complicated especially to new users. One might need some time to get used to how additional options are located in the application interface. However, some aspects of templates and notifications’ customization are not very versatile. These weaknesses have given us initial problems that have caused inefficiencies in our work and additional training to the team on how to use the software. **What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?** With the help of Boardable, many of the issues connected with the meetings organization and documentation have been discussed and solved. It focuses all from setting of the agenda to even the storage of minutes, and this enhances our productivity. Some of the features available in the software include, agenda setting, preparation of minutes, and even allocation of tasks during a meeting, and all these have greatly enhanced the management of meetings. It is good that having problems has been responded by the customer support and solved within a short time. We are now able to track attendance and voting decisions using Boardable and this aspect alone has boosted our decision making process. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** Another concern with the Boardable is that while the firm has developed a mobile app it lacks the functions of the webpage. This has made it a nightmare to some of the team members who require to work online in terms of document access or when they have to attend a meeting online. Furthermore, sometimes, there is a problem with the syncing of the integrated software and it can affect the overall work and timeline negatively. Such issues have sometimes led to misunderstandings and leads to need for extra clarifications hence reducing our efficiency. **What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Boardable has solved many problems we used to have when organizing board activities. It has made work meetings much more productive and has made awareness of tasks and related follow up evident all in one place. Ensuring pocket distribution for everu meeting attendee would help them to plan ahead with reference to the agenda. The two most prized qualities of Boradable are its simplicity in terms of deisgn and functionality developed to improve the operation of a nonprofit board. On one system, coordination of meetings, scheduling, and the documentation involved in a meeting may save a lot of time. **What do you dislike about Boardable?** Although it has been difficult to get accustomed to, the way the minutes are set-up, thus far we are adjusting. Font control would be one feature that would be great to have. We can italicize of bold typeface; we cannoy alter font type. Not eveb the power bullet is available. **What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Boardable is fixing problem with printing paper documents for the meetings; we mow just use digital documents for he meeting poeckets. It saveas time, money and easily update information on the paper. We habe stopped using actual paper and now, all the document is digital, it offers new e-signature capabilities. This latest one removed editing recurring meeting times for the series, want a semi-monthly meeting.. not unless you want to setup monthly and delete the inbetweens... want to set one person for the meeting series as a collaborator to edit the agenda or minutes, like a committee chair, nope! If you setup a recurnning series, you have to do it for every single meeting, so you are touching 6 meetings you never wanted. Want to sort your tasks by due date, nope! Want to still see a Board members profile who left the organization so you know their volunteer service history, nope! Missing minutes from a previous meeting after a software update? It's your fault, but they can't tell you who deleted them, when you know it wasn't you or the one other person who has access..lol. It is something after each update, and this latest one has literally made it the most labor-intensive thing I do instead of it being time-saving. Their response is they will submit the feedback, like it is a new request when you are just asking them to stop breaking things. When you manage a large organization with 10 committees, including non-board volunteers, and over 75 meetings a year, I'm sure you don't want to spend your time finding workarounds in Boardable. After 5 years on the platform, my advice is to RUN AWAY! **What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are creating problems, not solving them. Each release is a mess of implementing and then removing features. ### 47.
