The migration from Diligent's BoardPaq to BoardEffect was extremely easy and the support I received during the process was very helpful. It is obvious the BoardEffect Team has put a lot of thought and work into the training, available Webinars and materials for this particular Diligent product.

I have completed two (2) Board meetings using BoardEffect. The Directors and Executive Team found the App easy to install and the internal training we scheduled with small groups was also easy and informative to get them started with the new product.

Creating the Board Meeting Book for each meeting is intuitive and easy to update the order of agenda items as well as attachments through the edit process.

I am still learning BoardEffect and appreciate the enhancements that continue to be communicated by the BoardEffect Support Team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Preparing the meeting minutes is the only area so far that takes more time than it did using the Diligent BoardPaq product. The following areas are a bit clunky and take additional time in BoardEffect / Diligent's Meeting Minutes area:

1. Identifying the meeting attendees would be easier if the members of the workroom were already listed to select from a list. My name is the only name that pre-populates for meeting attendance. Once I start typing the names, the name selections pop up to select from, but this is time consuming due to the meeting attendees varying from meeting to meeting.

2. Reporting of voting details for meeting agenda items would be easier and quicker if a system tool was available to enter each step of the voting process. BoardPaq's system for automatically provided an area to select names for the "Move", "Second", and "Status" recording of agenda items submitted for approval. In BoardEffect, I am currently entering this information manually within a table for each agenda item receiving approval.

If I am missing something within BoardEffect/Diligent Meeting Minutes for both of these items, I would love to receive some additional training or "how-to" information.

being able to publish meetings electronically, saving on paper. it does what we need it to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

no longer allowed to do password resets for members since new platform change. could on the old platform. migration to the new platform is confusing at times. required everyone to reset password or reregister an account on board effect. created a lot of calls and walking members through the re- registration process. since the new platform we have way less flexibility for managing the members now. please bring all those features back.

I had to edit my review to add that, some of the questions of this review is imposable for me to answer. as our members don't use most of the features listed in the review. however, there was no way to skip or mark "not applicable" for these questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I genuinely appreciate BoardEffect for its ability to actively sync documents in real-time during meetings, which ensures that everyone is always on the same page with the most updated information. The convenience of managing minutes and reference documents within the same platform is another aspect I find valuable, as it consolidates important information in a single location, making access and reference straightforward and organized. Furthermore, BoardEffect acts as a secure depository for documents, which gives me peace of mind regarding the safekeeping and future accessibility of critical documents. I find that assisting users who may have password issues or end user-level technical concerns could be handled better. It would be more efficient if these issues were managed by the administrators of the platform rather than referring them to customer care support whenever such issues arise. I find BoardEffect incredibly user-friendly, which drastically eases the management tasks of our Board of Directors. It offers a wealth of features that are built specifically for our needs, allowing us to securely store all our important documents like reports, minutes, agendas, policies, and files in one centralized location. This not only streamlines our processes but also enhances the security of our information, providing a more efficient and sustainable program. The availability of training makes it even more accessible and beneficial for us. Additionally, the setup process was straightforward and easy to navigate, which was a significant advantage during our transition from SharePoint to BoardEffect. I dislike the limited integration capabilities with Microsoft products in BoardEffect. Specifically, it lacks the ability to populate events to our Outlook calendars, which is a critical feature for seamless scheduling and organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate how BoardEffect allows us to effectively manage our Foundation Board through its features. I wish I knew of a better way to get board members to engage in conversation during virtual meetings and during times that we have a big break between meetings. The transition to the Diligent Platform has been a bit of a challenge. For some reason, we had to keep changing our password and I had to request special links for some of our trustees. But once that was done, they have been ok. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate the accessibility to all boards and committee materials through BoardEffect, which ensures that everything I need for meetings is in one place. The convenience of receiving notices of meetings and having all board and committee materials readily available significantly enhances my readiness for discussions. I find the library and directory features particularly useful as they provide extensive resources that are crucial for my activities within the organization. Additionally, the information on Zoom meetings is a valuable aspect that supports my virtual collaborations and planning.
