## Boardable Reviews
  ### 1. Boardable makes my life so much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonique J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

What I love about Boardable is the agenda and the ability to produce board packets has made getting ready for Board meetings so much easier.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

There isn't anything I dislike about Boardable.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to email everything. It took a lot of time stitching PDFs packets together for Board meetings. If I had last-minute changes, I would have to restitch the packets and resend everything via email, which becomes confusing for very busy meetings. Now, Boardbale makes putting packets so simple.

  ### 2. Collaborative Platform that is easy for anyone to use!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sian W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable allows all of our Board members and committees to find documents, colloborate and meet easily all from one place. Makes for a much smoother user experience.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

There are several places to save documents, however they do not link which would be helpful. I.e. documents in the main section could be short cuts from a group.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boarable allows all shareable documents to be in one place. It allows for easy collaboration of our committee and board members. It is intuitive and very easy to follow.

**Official Response from Ilaria Constine:**

> Hello Sian,

Thank you for sharing your feedback about Boardable.

It's wonderful to hear that Boardable's collaborative features have made it easy for your Board Members and committees to work together seamlessly. We're pleased that the platform's user-friendly nature has contributed to a smoother experience for all users.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the different places to save documents. I am happy to share with you that we are actively evaluating ways to improve this functionality, as we continue to enhance the user experience.

Thank you.
Ilaria

  ### 3. Best experience and user friendly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Scheduling board & committee meetings, maintaining documents and sharing information with our board members.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I am happy with Boardable and have nothing to share.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having one location to maintain everything related to the board.

**Official Response from Zach Tsuleff:**

> Hi Robin--thank you for your review of Boardable! We are so happy to hear that Boardable is helping you streamline your board management operations as well as helping your board members locate information in one central location. We appreciate your partnership with us and look forward to continue supporting you!

  ### 4. Easy to use Board platform!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is an easy-to-use platform for our board members to get meeting invites, see meeting details, and see board meeting documents. I also like how it sends out reminders to board members a few days prior to the meeting.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The only downside I have seen with Boardable is that some companies have blocked Boardable on their company emails so they must use their personal emails.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps decrease the need for a bunch of emails going to our board members. We can also update our board documents without notifying the board every time.

**Official Response from Ilaria Constine:**

> Hello Lauren,

Thank you for your kind review of Boardable. We appreciate being able to work with you.

We are so pleased to hear that Boardable is helping your Board members receive meeting invites and stay ahead of important meetings.

If you would like, please contact your Customer Success Manager and we would be happy to help with some company emails being blocked.

Thank you for partnering with us!

  ### 5. Little flexibility, Outlook calendar integration lacking, expensive for what it offers

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

It can be helpful to have a central location for staff and board members to collaborate. However, it requires board members who are willing and able to use to the system.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The Outlook calendar integration is seriously lacking. Once meetings are scheduled they are difficult to change. There is a bug in the system that results in incorrect meeting times with the change to Daylight Savings. The tools to take minutes are unreliable - sometimes the minutes just disappear - and the options to format the minutes are really minimal and what is provided doesn't look good or provide all the nexessary meeting info (e.g. meeting attendees).

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a place for board members to access meeting materials and meeting information rather than just using emails.

  ### 6. Outstanding and BEYOND over the top customer service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I could not use the sidebar to communicate with the Bot, so I sought a contact number to reach a human for assistance. Typically, applications of this size don't allow you to speak directly to the CEO or, in my case, the Founder of Boardable. My phone call led me to Jeb, who kindly introduced me to John Applegate. Within minutes of my phone conversation with Jeb, I was connected with the Director of Sales and, finally, to the excellent Laura Buland, who assisted me with all my needs. Boardable went above and beyond on all levels. I cannot thank Boardable enough for helping our club members, especially myself, Director of Membership for The San Jose Country Club. I feel every country club in the NATION should use Boardable. Not just because they offer excellent customer service but because their attention to detail in every respect is gold.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The Bots. :) We all need them, but they aren't fun for non-techy people who cannot "speak" tech language, so maybe get dumber bots. Ha ha!

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can vote online, which saves our committee time and money; it is also an excellent tool for our monthly board meetings.

**Official Response from Ilaria Constine:**

> Jessica,

Thank you for taking the time to share your review of Boardable. We feel very fortunate to be working with such wonderful partners such as yourself.

Thank you!!
Ilaria

  ### 7. Non Profit Board Governance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The system overall is very user friendly and relatively quick to set-up and get a board up and running on boardable. The meeting scheduling feature and finding a time that is available for all members is a nice touch and the integration with zoom for video conferencing.

Management of board documents is great in having a secure repository that all board members (or committee members) can collaborate on and the in meeting minutes generating functionality works well in meetings.

Ability to maintain the board roster, contact informmation and terms within the tool is also a nice feature. The mobile app works pretty well as well for iOS devices.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

A few downsides that aren't really addressed in client onboaring.
1. Structure of document management and folders - We had some issues with the overall structure of our folders and how we wanted things stored consistently. The other draw back is once a document is uploaded into Boardbale it only comes back out as a PDF unless you download the document folder to your local PC to make changes and then re-upload and replace the outdated version.

2. Built in "Spotlight" video conferencing is glitchy - It's a great feature as part of the overall platform, but we found the video to freeze, turn-off and audio to be inconsistent for meetings. We got more value out of purchasing a zoom account an integrating that within boardable.er

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardbale solved a major issue for us in streamlining all board communications, document storage, meeting agendas, minutes and board communication. Prior to the software board members would get 20+ emails per day and collaboration was done in email - who has the most up-to-date version of this document? Where is it stored? How do new board members find things? All of these questions were able to be answered with the use of the tool

**Official Response from Ilaria Constine:**

> Hello,

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about Boardable. Your insight is much appreciated.

We're thrilled to hear that you've found Boardable's user-friendliness and quick setup beneficial for your non-profit Board. It's great that features like meeting scheduling, document management, zoom integration, and Board roster maintenance have positively impacted your experience.

We understand your concerns regarding document management structure and format, as well as the glitches you've encountered with the built-in "Spotlight" video conferencing. Your feedback is important, and we're continuously working to improve our platform based on user input.

We're delighted to learn that Boardable has helped you streamline board communications, document storage, and collaboration, ultimately resolving challenges related to email overload. Simplifying these processes is one of our main goals.

Thank you for being a part of the Boardable community,
Ilaria

  ### 8. Boardable is designed for board meetings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua M. | Technical Support specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is set up so that remote participants can view all meeting documentation whenever they want. It allows them to view documents while they are being presented and before and after. With these documents available at all times, there is no need to display them on the screen as with other meeting software.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The thing I like least about boardable is the loss of functionality when used in conjunction with other software and with non-users. Boardable allows others to join the meeting using zoom, but those users lose the ability to view documents at will. The same is true for non-users. They can be invited and view the meeting through boardable without signing in, but all the functionality is lost.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allowed our board members to join meetings remotely while still getting the essential related documents, even if they were added at the last minute. We used this software with The Owl cameras (hardware) to create a more immersive meeting experience.

**Official Response from Ilaria Constine:**

> Hello Joshua,

Thank you for taking the time to write your review of Boardable. It is truly appreciated.
We are so happy to hear that Boardable has helped to create a more immersive meeting experience.

We understand the feedback regarding the loss of functionality when using an external meeting platform rather than Spotlight.

Thank you for partnering with us!
Ilaria

  ### 9. Simple & Intuitive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable's interface is not intimidating - it invites you in with it's simple design, layout, and navigation. The Help Center is a click away and delivers on most questions I've had.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The mobile app doesn't give the administrator the ability to change or edit. There are duplicate ways of storing documents and am unsure whether to put them all in the Document Center or whether to keep them within the group or event with which it is designated.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One stop shop & off-site repository / vault for institutional records. Change is easily made if agendas, reports, minutes, financials need correcting and updating.

  ### 10. From implementation to practical use, Boardable is fantastic!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

We're very happy with the availability of document storage, calendar integration, and how easy Boardable has made it for us to put together monthly board packets. It's truly a one stop shop for all things BoD related.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We wish there was a way to retroactively change email addresses on meeting invitations if, for instance, a board member used their work email intitially, but changes jobs mid fiscal year.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're no longer keeping binders full of meeting minutes, board documents, contact information, etc. Instead, every meeting is stored within our account. That's made audit season so much easier.

  ### 11. Great way to get your board at the same place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacey R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I love the organizational features. I can house everything I need in one place, including documents, calendar and groups.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I cannot create a two day meeting agenda that flows as one. I have to make two separate agendas.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our board is remote all over the country. Thus helps me communicate and quickly get documents signed.

**Official Response from Ilaria Constine:**

> Stacey,

We're delighted to hear that Boardable's organizational features have been valuable for you, allowing you to consolidate documents, calendars, and groups in one place.

We understand your concern about not being able to create a two-day meeting agenda that flows as one. When you have time, please contact your Customer Success Manager so that we may share the best way to accomplish this task.

It's wonderful to see how Boardable is addressing the challenge of managing a remote board spread across the country, helping you facilitate communication and streamline document signing. Providing seamless solutions for remote collaboration is one of our main objectives.

Thank you,
Ilaria

  ### 12. Makes Board Meeting Preparation a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

This product is so user friendly, even our technically challenged Board members can use it.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

There is nothing I dislike....there are some features that I do not utilize. Lots of options

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more printed documents and the material is readily available for review prior to the meeting

  ### 13. Administration & Communications Co-ordinator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbara F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is user-friendly and makes organizing board documents and meetings a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We haven't come across any problems as of yet

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to send out a board package via email before the monthly meetings. Now our board members can access all the documents in one place.

  ### 14. Great Site for Streamlining Board Meeting Preparation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is excellent for streamlining preparation for our board meetings. We can send out invitations, craft our agenda, and share documents before the meeting. We also use the site during the meeting to share materials and can use it to facilitate the meeting if we need to go virtual. As an administrator of our account, I also appreciate being able to share materials outside of meetings, message users, and share meeting details in stages.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

At times, navigation is not instinctual. For instance, it took our employees some time to figure out how to efficiently invite guests to a meeting. I also preferred the previous set-up of the meeting page with the agenda on the landing page.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable gets documents to our board faster than when we mailed materials and allows us to make edits as needed to documents to ensure accuracy at meetings. It also helps with RSVPs and ensuring meetings are on people's calendars.

**Official Response from Ilaria Constine:**

> Hello,

Thank you for your review of Boardable. We are so glad to hear that Boardable is helping you share materials to facilitate meetings.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the meeting landing page. Should you wish to go over any navigation questions, please feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Manager to setup a training.

Thank you,
Ilaria

  ### 19. Boardable is a good document holder but not communication tool

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charmaine N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

My Board likes to use this as a place to find old docs. Not current docs. They want an email for those that is not from Boardable.

Big improvement that I can email and call from the app.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Boardable does not let me see who I sent things to. Or my history of communication. Very unhelpful as an administrator.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a place a reference.

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Being able to house important documents and haing the ability to change and add materials in real time.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

It's very costly for our non-profit. At 2 meetings per month it's costing us over $150 per meeting!

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I no longer have to send all materials via email. I can upload materials when ready and ask members to review them.

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Meeting reminders, document center and user administration are robust and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Once in a while software glitches. Can be expensive for a small nonprofit but if used to its full or even 3/4 potential, it can be worth it.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document organization and tetrieval - everyone has access to what is in the document center.
Meeeting and calendar reminders are beneficial to busy people.

**Official Response from Zach Tsuleff:**

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The ease of creating agendas and attaching documents. Being able to change things at the last hour and board members still have access to real time documents. That it houses everything that the board needs.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

How it manages documents that are generated in boardable such as meeting minutes. I do not like the extra steps have having to download the document, load it back in create a signature line, download it again and send it for signatures. Then save it again in the document center

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a time saver for our CEO, myself and the board chair and the committee chairs.

**Official Response from Zach Tsuleff:**

> Hi Melissa,

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The ability to review documents securely

  ### 28. Customer service needs improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** melissa s. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I like the new set up and easier to navigate especially with the adding of documents. Definately more user friendly!

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Customer service. Seems like when i need an answer i have to wait. It would be helpful to have a person you can call. I had major issues over the holiday break and was messaging folks on new years day (it was a hassle and yes helpful BUT my questions took days to be cleared up) which i thought was unacceptable. ALso we were kicked not for non payment which I was never notified about JUST closed the account and that for our university council was unacceptable.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

keeping records in one place

**Official Response from Zach Tsuleff:**

> Hi Melissa,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Boardable. We are so grateful for your feedback and are happy to hear that the recent updates to Boardable have made it more user friendly.

We do apologize for any delays or shortcomings you experienced in our Customer Service. ### 29. The Dream

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is super user-friendly. Plus it offers quick, kind and very helpful customer support. When using Boardable, it's the first time I didn't wish I had a phone number to talk to an actual person - they make it that easy.
Highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

A few app kinks to work out with Meeting Minutes, BUT Boardable reps took my need as a suggestion and are working to add my feedback as a feature!

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable solves the challenge of sharing documents, finding meeting dates that work for everyone and a place for all things BoD to live.

**Official Response from Zach Tsuleff:**

> Hello!

Thank you so much for your kind words. We're so glad to hear you've had a positive experience with our team and love hearing how easy it is for you and your team to use! And we highly value our customer product requests and suggestions, so don't hesitate to continue sharing them with us.

  ### 30. Game changer for our ministry

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas B. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is great for managing documents. We used to spend many more hours managing documents in preparation for our quarterly meetings. Boardable has so streamlined this. Having the platform has been great for moving to integrate more electronic management with the discussions and polls.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I have not found any issues. I have plenty of use without finding problems

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document management
Virtual discussions
Virtual Polling.
Agenda writing
Minutes taking

ALL BETTER

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Thomas,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable and we are thrilled to hear that the platform has been a game changer for your ministry. Our goal is to help organizations run more efficiently and improve your overall management so it's great to know it's working for you.

  ### 31. Boardable is easy to use and solved so many problems I had supporting my board.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon S. | CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

It is great to have one place for board members to go for polls, documents and meetings. I use Documents so board members can access orientation and other resources. I build agendas in Boardable and related meeting documents are just a click away for board members. I like conducting polls about whether to meet in person or online.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The bandwidth required to use Spotlight is too much for some of my Board Members. For some reason, when I use Track Changes in Microsoft Word, the Board Packet option doesn't capture this correctly. I have to save Word documents as PDF for Track Changes to display.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all orientation and background resources in Documents is so helpful. I don't have to use different software to conduct polls or to create meeting appointments -- it's all in one place.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Sharon,
We are so happy to hear that you are able to use Boardable as your one-stop shop for your organization. Having a single source of truth and easy access to everything is key for an efficient and productive board. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable.
Take care,

  ### 32. A Great Resource for Large Nonprofit Boards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer S. | President and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I really enjoy the easy user interface and the ease of scheduling meetings and creating board books. I also appreciate the polling capabilities for voting. It seems easier to use than others we've tried for our board.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I'd like to see a better calendar integration with Microsoft Outlook. It's not quite as intuitive as I'd like. I also found the video integration to still be a bit buggy for some of my board members. I'd also like to see differentiating features for general polling and board votes within the meeting agenda.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

If you have a large board and lots of committee meetings, this tool is a great way to keep track of meetings, documents and board votes.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable makes it easy for our board members to access the agenda and all of their board book documents in one place. They also appreciate the ability to follow along with an online option and a downloadable file format.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Jennifer,
We are thrilled that you are finding Boardable to be a great resource for your nonprofit board. Pulling together board materials in an easy format for your board members is key to productive meetings. Thank you for your feedback on our calendaring and our Spotlight video. I am sorry you have had challenges with those but I am excited to share that we have made recent updates to both of those tools so I'd encourage you to check them out again.
Thank you again,

  ### 33. Change is good!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelley C. | Executive Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

We finally managed to get our Directors to change to Boardable and wow what a difference. I can, at the click of a button, see all current and past meetings and the documents that are associated with these meetings.

Having templates for agendas and minutes is also saving me a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We initially had an issue using Spotlight for our Board and committee meetings but hoping that recent changes made to Spotlight will mean we can use this to host all our Board and committee meetings.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a centralised location for all our Board documents is great! No more searching through a large number of different files for minutes/memos etc. The smooth running of our meetings can be put down to Boardable and the features that we are able to utilise.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Shelley,
Thank you for sharing your review. We are thrilled to hear that your board made the switch and is loving Boardable. Change navigation can be hard but we see our customers navigate through it every day and they are always happy with the results. Also glad you are using Spotlight for your meetings and any issue you had in the past should be resolved with the newest update to the tool. Please let us know though if you run into any trouble.

Thank you again,

  ### 34. Boardable's Biggest Fan!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Catherine (Cassie) J. | Development and Communications Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The ability to have a user-friendly, easy-to-access online platform for Boardmembers, no matter how tech-savvy they are! The ability to schedule meetings, hold conversations, store documents, take minutes, and more has eliminated multiple, confusing emails from occurring. The time I have saved using Boardable for three boards that I manage has allowed me to focus on furthering our mission and vision.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

In the future, I would like their ios/Android app to contain all or most of the features available on the web browser version. In addition, It would be wonderful to have a shared calendar feature, where members could see all meetings, not just what they are invited to.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

I looked into multiple board management software. Boardable was and still is the winner. Their sales staff was never pushy, and always helpful in my trial/purchasing stages - this was not my experience with any other company. Boardable is easy to use. This was so important to me because our board varies in their technical abilities. There are not enough words to explain how Boardable has decreased the time I spent on board communications and increased our effectiveness as an organization.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have eliminated countless emails to discuss/comment/conversate on various topics, remind folks when upcoming meetings are occurring, send documents, agendas/attachments, and minutes. Because this is all located in Boardable, there is no need for emails. I realize how much time I was spending on these tasks and the time I have now to focus on other areas of my work.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Cassie,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. We are thrilled to hear how much value you are finding in the platform and what a time saver it is for you. Freeing up time so that organizations can further their mission is one of our primary goals!
Thank you again,

  ### 35. Boardable Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is a central hub for our board and committee members to utilize for meetings, agendas, and documents. Our board members are finding it very useful to be able to manage board meetings and the accountability with assigned follow-up tasks.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Boardable has been constantly making improvements to the platform since we joined in August 2019. There are a few features that would enhance the platform which I have shared with the Boardable team. One key feature, beyond email capacity, would be having outgoing communications include a text feature.

In addition, we have had some challenges getting Zoom links to post in meetings. Many of our Board members utilize various scheduling platforms, Microsoft Teams, Google, and Outlook, scheduling a reoccurring meeting with the consistent Zoom link "join" button on each meeting.

I understand we joined Boardable at the earlier stages in the company's development and have a favorable pricing structure compared the current tiers. As we would enjoy the features of Spotlight, Board Meeting packets, and added number of members, the pricing jump to that level may be financially challenging to sustain.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing our board and committee together on "the same" page" has been very valuable. We are just getting into a consistent pattern of the utilization of the platform. We see how this will truly enhance our current board and the ability to recruit strong board and committee members in the future.

As of 2022, we have experienced more of our board members using Boardable because we publish the Zoom link in the meeting itself, driving members to the platform. This is a good thing. At this time, we wish we could afford the add ons of the Professional level account with the Spotlight Video & Zoom Integration, onboarding, and unlimited data and members.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience with Boardable. We truly appreciate your longtime support of our company and are thrilled to know that your board is finding the platform to be helpful as a central hub and impactful in having successful meetings that incorporate accountability. Thank you also for your feedback and I will pass on your suggestions to the product team. We are continually fine-tuning the platform and looking to add tools and features that are helpful to our customers. Recently we made some updates to our calendaring system that should help across all calendar platforms. Please reach out to us if you would like more information on those.
Thank you again,

  ### 36. A perfect communications solution for our Non-Profit Board!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paula F. | Accident/Injury Recovery Coach | Lifestyle Assessment Expert | Behavioral Change Specialist , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

We restructured our large Board (26 members) into 4-Standing Committees and wanted a communications system that enables all Board members to be well-informed and able to discuss items. Boardable far exceeded our expectations with its ability to call meetings, build agendas, record notes, take attendance, send out meeting minutes, and archive documents we upload and share. I vetted 3 other Board management platforms and found that Boardable provided us with everything we needed to accomplish our goal of building a solid communication system between committees at a very reasonable price. As with any software system, getting members comfortable and proficient in using Boardable took a little effort on our part, but the Boardable customer service reps go over and beyond to lend help and solve any issue. They provide a rich library of tutorials and FAQs and should there not be a current solution, Boardable is very open to ideas and suggestions. Our Board is made up of all levels of computer savvy and we were pleased with how intuitive and easy it is to use the platform. I highly recommend Boardable for any Board that wants their Board to be well-informed and engaged!

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Nothing major just a few petty things like having to use the return arrow at the top of the page to return to the previous page. However, once you use Boardable regularly you quickly learn workarounds to make navigation quicker. It all comes down to how often you use the platform. For those who only log in once in a great while, they will find it cumbersome but for regular users, it is intuitive and robust!

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

I highly recommend Boardable for any Board that wants an efficient means of communication, transparency, and accountability for their Board. It is easy to use, is robust with features, offers top-of-the-line customer support, and is affordable for non-profit Boards.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous Board structure used 16 committees that operated in isolated silos. As a result, we spent a great portion of a Board meeting reporting on past committee updates making our meetings long, boring, and nearly impossible to grasp our overall impact as a Board. With Boardable to coordinate our new 4-Standing Committee structure, all members have real-time details at their fingertips and can be reviewing updates from each committee shortly after they meet. This is having a tremendous impact on our Board meetings by having Board members come to the meeting well informed and ready to vote rather than having to learn what is happening. We feel we've reached a higher level of fiduciary responsibility by having well-informed members who know where to find the information they need about an issue and reach out to other Board members for discussion if need be.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Paula,
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Boardable. We are so happy to hear that Boardable has helped improve your board's communication and keep everyone informed. It is also great to know that the platform is impacting and improving how your board meetings run and that you have reached a higher level of fiduciary responsibility. Thank you again for spreading the word about Boardable.
Take care,
Laura Clark

  ### 37. All The Right Things in the Right Places

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William G. | Personnel Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable has a terrific, intuitive setup that helps quickly onboard committee members, find your way around, and clearly see what information you're sharing and with who. The multiple ways of viewing and sharing agendas as well as the clean meetings page and discussion/input methods make Boardable a clean and efficient way of communicating with your board or committee without getting lost in email.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

As with most services, Boardable is developing their product and adding new features. I'm not sure that creating your own "Zoom" alternative is a great investment, but it does allow you to integrate your current Zoom account for meetings, so if Boardable insists on also trying it's own alternative, I wish them the best.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable is a clean and quick way to share and access information, and presents a great face for incoming board members as you can quickly see who else is on the board/committee and the navigation is so similar to the navigation of other social media that it takes very little to find important information and interact with others. It's also kept us from worrying about people losing information in their email inboxes.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi William,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. I am glad your board members are able to get into the platform quickly and that you are finding that it helps facilitate clean and efficient meetings and communication. We also appreciate your feedback on our Spotlight Video tool and we understand it may not be for everyone. We are always working to innovate and improve tools in the platform while also creating options such as our Zoom integration that meet you where you are at.

  ### 38. Your experience with a Rep can tell you a lot about the rest of your experience with a company.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

While project managing the selection of a board mgnt platform for a client, my experience with Boardable was the best. My Rep/Consultant Fabian was good at showcasing the platform's strengths without being pushy - a refreshing experience for software demos. He was pleasant and helpful throughout.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The proposal's wording and layout were pretty confusing for multi-year quotes, but my rep went over it with me.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication and accountability among board members. One central, organized place for everything board-related.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable and we are so happy to hear that your buying experience with Fabian exceeded your expectations. Our team's goal is to help prospective buyers find the best solution for their organization. We are grateful to have you on board and we hope your board will soon see the benefits of using Boardable.

  ### 39. Boardable is a great solution for managing our volunteer groups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucia D. | V, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

United Way of Central Indiana has used the Boardable platform since its launch. It provides an affordable solution to meet not only our Board and Committee meeting needs but other volunteer work groups utilized by our organization. The Boardable team has been very receptive to hearing our ideas for software enhancements to meet even more of our needs in managing volunteer groups.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We have some volunteer groups engaged for only a couple of months out of the year, but we have to pay for an annual license for each user.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Volunteer group communications are well-organized and readily available to each volunteer in one location. The Spotlight meeting format is great and easy to use.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Lucy,
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. We greatly appreciate the early support from United Way of Central Indiana and we are happy to hear that you are continuing to find the platform to be a valuable tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelly B. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable stores everything for the board in one place. Board members can access the documents they need and see the meetings that are scheduled with out contacting staff.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Boardable is adding features all the time. I do wish that you could start discussions from the app and not just the desktop version.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable saves me time by storing everything in one place and making documents, meetings and discussions easy for board members to use. It also records everyone's activity so you have an electronic record of the work of the board. It is like having a virtual board binder!

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Thank you Shelly for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. We are thrilled to hear that the platform is making your life easier and that you are finding value in the new enhancements to the platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savannah-Jane G. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I really like the agenda meeting templates and how you can tag certain collaborators for each agenda item. I also like that we have a space to share documents as a board.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

It has taken some time to get all of our board members up to speed on how to utilize Boardable effectively. Also, when I've posted announcements I realize there isn't a place where I can see what I posted to ensure it went through.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

This is a wonderful system to help streamline communication and store information.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miscommunication is a problem that boardable is helping us to solve. Benefits have been streamlined communication, having one place where all information is stored, and keeping us organized.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Savannah-Jane,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Streamlined communication, collaboration, and organization are big keys to running a successful board and we love to hear that Boardable is helping you to do that.

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

It allows for easy communication and task management for all of our directors in one place

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Only issue we have had so far was an audio issue with zoom integration. I have been told that this has been resolved.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

So much easier than communicating through phone or email with a group of associations members.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows for thoughtful discussions on topics so that people are better informed prior to meetings.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

  ### 43. Canadian Non-Profit

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Agenda Builder, Members Page, Document Sharing

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Spotlight sounds great but the performance was less than optimal. Board members became frustrated with audio/video sync issues and dropped calls. The spotlight experience with the integrated agenda could be great. Unfortunately, we have had to revert to using MS Teams to host the virtual board meetings because spotlight performance was poor.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Cost-effective board management solution for non-profits. Checks many of the boxes for managing board meetings. The integrated Spotlight virtual meeting platform is close to becoming a game-changer. Excellent agenda builder and minute completion.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

agenda creation and minutes are extremely efficient with boardable. It saves are EA hours per month. The centralized document sharing is also excellent.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. We are glad that you are finding that the platform is a time saver for your organization. Thank you also for the feedback on Spotlight. We are working continually to improve that feature and would be happy to work with you all individually to make sure it works well for you.

  ### 44. Essential Board management tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremi S. | CEO & President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is easy to use not only for our executive staff, but more importantly, to our non-native English-speaking internationally diverse Board of Directors.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Having used it for a few years now there are tools I would like to see like file integrations with Box.com, cleaner voting and voting history look-up and more organized discussion threads, but these are minor and Boardable is always evolving.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem is Board access to information - minutes, files and agendas. Boardable does this well. With a very diverse Board, it is also important that the software is intuitive and easy to use - Boardable does this well too.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Jeremi, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are thrilled to hear that Boardable is easy for you and your board to use and helps you easily access everything you need. We also appreciate your feedback on how you'd like to see us improve and I will pass that on to our product team. We are in the process of improving our Discussions tool so look to see that improved experience in the platform very soon. Best Regards, Laura Clark

  ### 45. Great tool for Boards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon E. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is very user friendly and intuitive

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I wish the Minutes Taker offered a bit more flexibility

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

This is a great tool for Board management and organization, particularly those that have limited or volunteer staff. It's easy to use and administer. It has been a game changer for our ourganization.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to using Boardable, our Board did not have a centralized location to house all of our files and documents. Therefore, we have lot a lot of information due to the coming and going of Board Members that held certain documents and information. Boardable helps keep us organized and accountable.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Shannon,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our platform. We are so happy to hear that it has been easy to use and administer and I will share your feedback on the Minutes tool with our product team. We will be updating the Minutes Tool before long so hopefully, you'll find the updates provide more flexibility.
Take care,
Laura

  ### 46. Very easy to work with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott M. | Retired, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

As board secretary Boardable made scheduling meand taking minutes really easy. I am no longer secretary, but Boardable helps keep me informed and all our documents are easy to see any time, but especially during meetings.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

There are some cumbersome issues with navigating within Boardable, and the app is not useful. I always log in to the web version even with my mobile devices.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

We found Boardable less expensive and better suited to our non-profit than other platforms.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have cut way back on paper document management. It also helps us keep track of the board members' and officers' terms.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Scott,
Thanks so much for taking the time to review Boardable. We are glad to hear that Boardable is helping your board to do things more efficiently while also being affordable. We are working now to update the mobile app so look for that soon.
Take care,

  ### 47. Wonderful!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thonja N. | Facilities and Administration Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The Boardable software is user friendly. I set up the account for our company and invited our board members to create their own accounts. They were able to do so easily.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I have difficulty when placing an event on the calendar, knowing if it is "scheduled" but the software sends you an email, so is easy to check.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Worth the expense, saves time in the long run...

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Boardable staff is amazing to work with, they are helpful and quick to respond, or immediately with their "chat." No issues have been difficult to assess.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Thonja,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. We are so happy to hear that you have found the platform to be user-friendly, worth your investment and that our support has been helpful. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenneth K. | Chief Executive Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Structure and organisation of the meetings, ability to consolidate and distribute all board papers in a secure environment

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The stability and functionality of the Boardable video system is yet to match Zoom and this has made it difficult to transition to its use.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

It is great for organisations with multiple committees and boards with members widely dispersed

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very good for enabling wider engagement allowing observers or guests,

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Kenneth,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. We are happy to hear that Boardable has been a valuable investment for your organization. We also really appreciate your feedback on our Spotlight Video tool and I am sorry to hear you have had some issues with it. ### 49. Easy way to keep all governance in one place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juliette W. | Vice Presidnet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The best thing about Boardable is the easy way to manage all Board files, especially before (when reviewing) and during the board meeting.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

It took me a while to get used to the difference in applications when using my PC and my tablet. The PC application is certainly better.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we have worked remotely last year, and everything has been online, Boardable has reduced our emails significantly. I enjoy having all governance, risk and policy docs, all int he one place.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Juliette,
We are so glad to hear that Boardable has been a valuable investment for your organization. Being able to easily find everything in one place is a time saver and helps your organization to run more efficiently. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your review.
Take care,

  ### 50. Very Intuitive Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable was very easy to use. There were a lot of great features, like the agenda and voting, that made centralizing my client's board a lot easier. Their staff were also extremely responsive, which allowed us to better assist members who might not have as much tech literacy.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

From a technology perspective, there were few complaints. Boardable's proprietary conferencing system still needs to have its kinks worked out.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I set up this platform for a client who was hoping to organize their board of advisors. An added bonus was that it created the appearance of professionalism, as well as served as a powerful tool to stay organized and communicate securely.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. I am so glad to hear that you and your board are finding the platform to be intuitive and our team helpful. Professionalism and organization are keys to a healthy board and we are glad Boardable is helping you to achieve that.
Take care,
