Boardable is easy for technology-challenged people to use. And as the account administrator, I love the chat function whenever I have a question.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

You won't regret choosing this solution for your multi-national group. Include the annual fee in your budget as soon as you can.

  ### 5. This has been wonderful experience as we have grown over the last couple of years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis W. | Trustee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I like the Agenda Builder and the way that minutes can track things the best of all of the features. The document area, with controlled access is a close second.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The discussions section needs a little work in my opinion. It would be nice if the discussions moved up with the topics with the most recent replies at the top.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Don't allow any communication other than on Boardable

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Biggest benefit is we are having much better communication across the entire organization.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Hi Travis,
Thank you so much for sharing your review of Boardable. We are thrilled to hear that Boardable has improved your organization's communication! We also appreciate your feedback on the Discussion tool and I am excited to tell you that it is currently being updated and you will see an improved Discussions tool in the platform before long.
Thank you again,

  ### 6. Boardable - making our organization better together!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan R. | Executive Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable's data helps us to determine & improve board engagement. The document center provides an accessible location for all of our organizational documents & dramatically improves our transparency with our board members.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Honestly, there isn't anything I dislike about Boardable. The more we use it, the more we realize new features that help to improve our organizational efficiency and outcomes. It helps staff and board members better prepare for meetings due to the accessibility of organizational documents. We've even received feedback from our board members that they enjoy using the platform & have recommended it to other organizations.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable has helped us tremendously improve board communication, administrative efficiency, allowing us to focus on the completion of organizational tasks and goals. We have even started using it with our internal staff to help track tasks to be completed.

  ### 7. Early Observations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I like the ability to track attendance RSVP's in real time, I also like the ability to quickly generate meeting agendas.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I would like to have the ability to go more levels deep in the outlines of the agenda.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Give it try, you will see the benefit quickly.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The labor intensive process of assembling board materials. We have already seen a huge reduction in the amount of time it takes to assemble a meeting.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with Boardable. Love to hear that you are liking the ability to quickly do meeting tasks so that you can use your time more efficiently.

  ### 8. Boardable Has Been A Helpful Tool for Our Board

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The online accessibility of board agendas, minutes, and documents has been exceedingly helpful in keeping our board in the loop and in making it easy to find things from past meetings. The tool to schedule meetings has been beneficial as well.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I can't think of anything that I don't like about Boardable . . . except maybe the challenge of getting some of our less technically savvy board members into the habit of checking it regularly.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable has helped us to keep our board members more engaged and informed, and in turn to make better use of time when the board meets.

**Official Response from Laura Clark:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to review Boardable. Not much makes us happier than hearing that our platform is helping your board more effectively run your organization!
Thanks again, Laura Clark

  ### 9. Incredibly positive startup with Boardable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean C. | CEO/Director of Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Software design is very specific and tailored to this usage. It is robust and has already exceeded our expectations. Customer service has been timely and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Nothing to report at this point with our experience but we are only a few weeks into our license.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One-stop location for our Trustees to gather all their information. Ease of use is impressive. We have also introduced it to our executive council of administration and that team is very impressed.

  ### 10. Invaluable tool for modern boards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim R. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable has allowed us to operate all virtually in a post-COVID world. Having all of our documents, marketing materials, passwords, etc allowed us to keep moving, and having a shared calendar and address list are very helpful. It is also great having all of our budgets, narratives, etc for grant writing / reporting. We run multiple social media accounts so having branding, images, passwords etc all in one place is great.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The addition of the app has been great, it was hard to push people to it without that. The video conferencing was just ok. As with any tool, it is only as good as the people who use it. I wish there was a way to push people to use the tool more, many conversations happen off of the tool, so they get lost to the whole board .

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Go all in. Make all of your documents digital. It will really help with grant writing and organization. It's especially helpful for if there is transition in your board, people can go back and see what other grants were applied for, why you got to certain decisions, what programming you've done in the past etc .

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had to operate without a physical presence for a couple of years now. I honestly don't know how we would have done it without boardable.

  ### 11. Organizing our Governance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adriana A. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The online portal is very easy to utilize and doesn't require loads of training to onboard the Board of Directors and organizational staff. I also really like the document center that allows us to store recordings of prior meetings and board minutes and notes from committee meetings. I also like that I can push out reminders and calendar appointments directly from the portal for upcoming meetings to my board members.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The portal doesn't have a dedicated board annual forms section which would be very helpful. Something we could set to pop up at a certain time each year to get the board members to complete (directly in the portal with an electronic signature) annual disclosures and other annual governance forms. I also wish the in portal video conferencing was bette quality, the video feed often appears fuzzy and sometimes people are dropped the from the call (the video conferencing is still in beta, so I anticipate it will be strengthened over time).

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Know exactly what you want from your board portal and compare it across the various board management softwares that exist. Once you know the features you need it will be easier to make your selection.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved several problems by moving to Boardable. First, we had all of our board documents easily accessible to board members for easy review. Second, we were able to have electronic voting within the secured portal to accomplish some best practices in governance. Lastly, the in portal video calls with the side by side agenda have made it easier for members to view packets at their own pace vs a shared screen in traditional video conference software.

  ### 12. An absolute time-saver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Director of Minister Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is efficient and allows us to make changes in minutes. This allows us to edit our agenda and upload the most recent documents we have available.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We have only encountered one issue with boardable. When trying to upload a file it gave us an error message that the file was not compatible. With one phone call, boardable support solved our issue and had us up and running.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to print out all of our supporting documents for our meetings. This meant over 1000 pages of printing and organizing. It also meant that if we had a last minute change or addition to our board packet we would have to reprint and replace agendas. Boardable eliminates all those problems. It also allows us to get our board packets to the board in advance of our meeting.

  ### 13. Great for Non Profit Boards and Committees

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

What I like best about Boardable is the ease of putting meetings together. Boardable makes it easy to collaborate with the various group administrators in putting together the agenda and collecting materials for the meeting. I especially like that Boardable is now integrated with my zoom account, allowing me to create the meeting in one step without having to separately login to Zoom. Finally, my absolute favorite thing is the automatic meeting reminders Boardable sends out the day before a meeting.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

It is hard to say what I dislike about Zoom because I know they are constantly working to improve features. I'm looking forward to a smoother Spotlight feature so we may eventually drop Zoom. I'd like to be able to create biweekly meetings on the calendar and I would love it if meeting minutes were automatically saved to the documents center.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

When setting up, administrators might find it best to set up group/committee names before member profiles. In doing so, the administrator can include what committee the member is a part of when creating their profile

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable has made it easier for my Board to not only RSVP, but also to find all the meeting materials in one spot. Additionally, it has been nice to be able to store all the Board and committee materials in one location. This has been beneficial to new Board members who want to familiarize themselves with the ongoings of Board meetings. New Board members are also able to familiarize themeselves with existing Board members by viewing the People section.

  ### 14. Boardable changed how our agency operates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The software is very intuitive and easy to use. The app is also so convenient.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

It would be helpful if polls allowed multiple questions.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software has really allowed us to modernize our process, which couldn't have come at a better time. The electronic signatures, voting capability, and RSVP tracking have allowed us to become more efficient.

  ### 15. User-Friendly!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawn M. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Flexible and easy to adapt for the changing needs of the leadership. Alerts and task tracking keep all accountability in one place.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I am still learning calendar and polling.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

It does what is needed and is easy to use.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization, reference source and communication

  ### 16. Streamlining Board Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leisa S. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is a user friendly option to streamline board communication. From board member profiles, committee meetings, discussion groups, file folders for organization documents, calendar invitations, tasks and polls. It definitely has cut down on the email threads and request for documents. All easily accessible in one place.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I don't have a dislike...just a recommendation...wish there were away to share images/pictures on the dashboard and group descriptions. As they say...a picture is worth a thousand words.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Like anything else...adoption and persistency is lead when introducing new communication platforms. Having a couple of champions along the way definitely expedite the process.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love having an electronic format of the traditional Board Manuel that was prepared annually. Grateful how our committee chairs are utilizing the polling tool to coordinate meetings and share information.

  ### 17. Effective communication tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

It's easy to use for any level of technology familiarity. It makes organizing documents, resolutions, minutes, and other Board documents simple.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Additional integration with other software would be helpful, like Office 365 or survey tools.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating a simple and easy-to-use repository of essential Board business documents--including tracking changes over time and preserving meeting materials.

  ### 19. Polls are the best!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The polling and document management features are so helpful for virtual meetings. Everyone can follow along, and documents do not get lost in a sea of emails.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The virtual meetings freeze often, so we have to disable our videos to make it work better.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

It is definitely worth it.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved board members saying they did not receive something because now we send all communications via Boardable. It is a huge help.

  ### 20. Board game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

  ### 21. Super easy to set up and simple for board members to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The clean, simple style, the site was logically planned, and next to no training needed for board members to begin to use the platform.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

There are some minor quirks, but the team at Boardable is responsive making careful upgrades.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems solved: the board members: they did not have to learn another new platform and have documents they need for their meetings as well as historical documents for a look back. We added an easy "sign in" right off our website for board members.
Benefits realized: choosing Boardable makes me look good! :)

  ### 22. Extremely User-Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

It's a one-stop location for all things our Board needs access to and for storing important historical data.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The only thing I wish Boardable could do is create the Agenda only for print/public link posting without the enclosures/attachments included/visible. Other than that, it's great.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

It's extremely user-friendly, even for our tech-challenged board members.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Board now has quick and immediate access to Agenda Meetings and documents in real-time rather than resending/resharing PDF attachments as things change.

  ### 23. Boardable Makes Board record keeping easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sue M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable makes it easy to compile all of the records our regulators require. Setting up accounts is easy. The program is highly intuitive. I think it is simple for anyone to use without extensive training. Our new admin hopped in it and got it even more organized with almost no instruction from me. Going back in time to a specific meeting is simple. We like it that you can make changes to meeting minutes even after you publish them. We love it that you can have more than one administrator. That makes system administration easy.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I have only minor things in the category of things I dislike. Once the board member logs into their profile the first time, the administrator cannot make changes to the name or email account for them. As a non-profit, our board members are volunteers and they are also busy people. I would prefer to have all features changeable by the administrator. Also, running a report of all board member activities is not as easy as it should be. Finally, the software uses a note-taking category for Vote, which is fine. However, they need to add a way to easily plug in who made the motion, and who seconded. This is completely doable by typing that in, but could be improved with some check-boxes. These votes could also be done by using polls. Although the ability to take notes in it live during a meeting is nice, we find it necessary to do them in Word so we can collaborate on minutes using the track changes feature. When we are all done, we copy and paste them into Boardable's minutes feature for that meeting.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

This is a great program for non-profits to help them organize their efforts with their governing bodies. The software also makes it easy to meet regulatory requirements, especially when there is an unannounced inspection or site visit. Most board members have been able to get in and create their profiles without difficulty. The app makes it a cinch for them to RSVP to meetings or answer polls right from their phones.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable helps us to keep our board members informed of upcoming meetings. They can find all of their information in one place. Boardable also makes it possible for us to track everything at an administrator level instead of having files, "owned," by a staff member who may leave the organization. Getting those records back was a challenge before we went to Boardable. Also, the software makes it simple for leadership to check that things are in place and where they should be.

**Official Response from Samantha A.:**

> Hi, Sue. Thank you for your valuable feedback. We're constantly making enhancements to Boardable features and love hearing suggestions for ways we can make Boardable even better. I'd be happy to schedule a call to learn more about your experience with reports and notes. Please feel free to reach out to success@boardable.com.

  ### 24. I have had a great experience with Boardable, especially the ease of use and their customer service.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I love having everything at my fingertips. I can lay everything out for my Board and resources that once clogged emails can be organized with clarity and easily accessed. It was a very intuitive platform to get up and running and for Trustees to navigate for the first time.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I wish the Google Drive connection was deeper, but it is easy enough to create a PDF in Drive and link that.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

It is worth a conversation with Laura Clark, their Customer Success Manager and Co-Founder. She is exceptionally accessible and can help launch Boardable very quickly. She also offers orientation and training sessions and webinars for Trustees that can take that load off of you.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have done a few polls that have been time sensitive and have been able to pass resolutions with 100% participation whereas before we would either need to meet or count emails in a chain. I have streamlined the orientation process for new Trustees, but referring to the Documents section of the platform. The agendas are easy to follow and have links directly tied to the topic on hand, making a deeper conversation in the Board meetings a reality.

  ### 25. Very user-friendly, easy to setup and implement quickly, excellent support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellen B. | Operations Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

1. Everything all in one place for Board members to access 2. User Dashboard puts everything front and center, very clearly 3. Streamlines and reduces communications 4. Easier meeting prep and minute taking 5. Task list - love this feature! 6. Calendar integration removes the disparity of different systems needing to "talk" to each other, for example, a Google Calendar invite to an Outlook user works differently than to an Apple user. Boardable removes that.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

One item I have suggested they improve is that the calendar integration does not sync replies, so a meeting stays on your external calendar whether you have RSVPd yes or no. Support says they have put this in as a possible future upgrade.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

I highly recommend taking advantage of the free trial; I set it up for myself as the admin and my CEO as a user, and we tested all the functions as well as used it for a normal committee meeting during that time. It gave us a great idea just how easy it was and whether it suited our needs.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One item I have suggested they improve is that the calendar integration does not sync replies, so a meeting stays on your external calendar whether you have RSVPd yes or no. Support says they have put this in as a possible future upgrade.

Benefits realized: So far, this is on the admin side. Meeting prep, Agenda creation, taking Minutes, Polling the Board members...all this has been so easy that I am realizing a great time savings. We have only been using Boardable for a month, and it has taken some time to get all members using it, so we haven't yet realized full benefits on the user side.

  ### 26. Improved our Board functioning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

One of the best features is being able to manage our board meetings in one simple suite with Agenda, attachments, minutes and correspondence and follow-up tasks all managed in one central place. Scheduling follow-up meetings and managing tasks are all seamless.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We recently lost our prepared agenda when an admin cancelled a meeting not knowing it would delete the agenda. Having the warning to confirm what happens with a cancellation would be a great feature to be added.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Boardable is intuitive and easy to implement. They also have regular webinar training which has enhanced our implementation.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Meeting templates simplifies our Agenda building, and each board member can upload their reports rather than having our administrator having to track them down. Board members can RSVP, and after the meeting, the minutes are available in a summary package. All meeting details are available in a past meeting tab for easy reference. We are a flat national organization, so having all our board and committee documents available to committee members is cost-effective and efficient.

  ### 27. User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The ease of use and very adaptable to do

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

really nothing - I haven't found anything

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

I have referred Boardable to some colleagues at another company.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

communicating with specific board members and sharing documents.

  ### 28. A Goldilocks solution: not too simple but not too complext - just right!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meredith D. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I like the fact that we can store all our important documents centrally in the Document Centre, instead of having them distributed across multiple personal computers. This will really help when the time comes to hand over to the next generation of board members.

Also, we can use the Discussion function instead of email or something like Slack.

And I have found the Boardable team to be very responsive to my questions and suggestions.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

It would be helpful to be able to download a list of all Decisions made easily (though I have suggested this and Boardable have agreed to place it on their list for development).

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

I would say Boardable is a "Goldilocks" solution: not too simple but not too complex. Just about right.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This automates much of what I was doing manually in preparing agenda and writing up minutes.

  ### 29. Amazing Simple and Easy to Use Organizational Tool for All Nonprofits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

It is extremely easy to use and very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I wish secure video conferencing was included. That would make it an all inclusive product. I wish you could edit an agenda and not have to be an administrator.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Use it!

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Location of documents, publishing of minutes, agenda creation and assigning people.

**Official Response from Samantha A.:**

> Hi, Heather. Thanks for your review. We appreciate your feedback. You will be happy to know that we recently launched Boardable Meetings with Video and would love for you to test-drive our secure videoconferencing solution. ### 30. Our Board Loves the Software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

As the administrator, I like that it takes attendance of meetings, it is very user friendly and that I don't have to make copies of our board notebook and try to keep that updated for 13-20 people all the time. I also like that it alerts me that a new board member has signed in and filled out their profile.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I have struggled with how to post minutes for new board members to access instead of having the go to old meetings files.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making my time more efficient, not having to figure out who has what updated info, on-boarding new board members, especially during COVID has been easy.

**Official Response from Samantha A.:**

> Thank you for your feedback. We recently launched enhancements to our Minutes Maker. I would love to hear more about your experience sharing minutes and would be happy to demonstrate some new ways to share minutes. Please feel free to contact me at samantha@boardable.com. I've also shared a blog post, which might be helpful. Thanks again for choosing Boardable! Samantha, Director of Customer Success

  ### 31. Efficient software to manage Board communications and Documents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The best feature of Boardable from our perspective is the ease of use. We are able to manage 10 Directors, a few Executives, and sometimes an external party to participate in discussions, meetings, document review, or sharing of resources without a heavy training regimen.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We would like to have a few tweaks to buttons and options in some of the screens that fit our business model. There is nothing critical and we have learned to adapt, but a couple small changes will make it even better for us.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

It works great for us in a company of 10 Directors and a couple of Executives. I can see the benefits to larger companies as well as it would scale up nicely. We tried it out for a a few months as a trial and learned the software easily. The set up was minimal outside of uploading multiple files which just took some time. The support has been great and we consistently get quick response times when we have questions. There are obviously a few small tweaks that we would like to have completed, but the team has been supportive and added our requests to development teams. We couldn't ask for anything better, and it is hard to imagine the old system of emailing documents and minutes between many people. I would recommend the software with a trial period of a few months to ensure it fits with a majority of your needs. It may not answer all of the questions that your organization is looking for, but it may answer the important ones. This is where we found it to be helpful.

We like the ease of use, the aesthetics, the document organization, and the features available. Some of the dislikes are the movement between areas or pages (navigation) and shortcuts. As well, there are some calendar tweaks (time zones, navigation, selections) that we feel could be improved upon.

Our recommendation is that it is an overall good product with good support and a great value. We looked at other Board management software with slightly better features and ideas, but the pricing was multiple times more expensive.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved the problem of multiple versions of files being communicated. We are now able to organize files and folders and all users can look at the latest document in real time without having to worry about an outdated version.

  ### 32. Best Board Portal!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara B. | Executive Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I like the software is very user friendly. I also like how it has made communication among our Board Members more open and even encouraged. It is a very streamlined and clear portal with no extra fancy bells and whistles that can bog down websites.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I do not like that you can only assign a task to one Board Member at a time. I also do not like that events cannot be scheduled as events, that they have to be scheduled as meetings.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

This product is very easy to use, is in-expensive compared to other Board portals, and the customer service has been beyond amazing. I frequently get check-in emails from my direct customer service representative as well as the CEO.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are reducing the amount of paper that we waste because we no longer need to print out multiple flyers and agendas that will be thrown out after each meeting. It is also much easier to schedule meetings and to find times that work best for everyone's schedule. The attendance tracking has made my life as the administrator and Executive Assistant much easier. I also like that I do not have to send out an email and a calendar invite anymore and that I can just do everything through Boardable.

  ### 33. Affordable and efficient board management portal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelley G. | Director of Communications & Engagement, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

We've been using Boardable for over a year and can't imagine meetings without it. All our committee and board meetings are paperless; all of our directors appreciate the ease of logging in and getting the meetings and documents they need at any time. We even have our policies and board manual in the documents so it's in one location and can be updated easily. It's helped us shave time off of our meetings and allowed directors to remote in when traveling much easier than before.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

No real downsides; easy and efficient for even our tech challenged volunteers.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to give permissions has been helpful so that volunteers are only seeing the meeting materials they need. The guest function is also great to give guest speakers access and has come in handy. No more multiple copies of multiple reports; one change in boardable ensures all our volunteers are looking at the latest data.

  ### 34. Boardable streamlines communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beach P. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I love that all documents, meetings, rosters, minutes etc can be housed on Boardable. It makes it so much easier to communicate with my board and for my board members to connect with each other. I love how Boardable makes everything having to do with my board so much easier.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Nothing. Love it. Thanks for making a phone app.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems.
Benefits are: I can put out information 1 time and it's done. It save so much time and is a great way for my board members to get what they need exactly when they need it. No more late night phone calls asking for the minutes, an agenda or the phone number to a colleague. I believe that Boardable empowers my board to be a better version of themselves.

  ### 35. Improved Board Communications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eddie O. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

It allows our board to have a portal which contains all required documentation from induction through to board meeting papers. It also means no emailing volumes of files to board members. We also planto have a section for senior staff to use it partitioned off from the board for HR and other documents.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The lack of ability to customise it on opening it up and having to search through screens to get where I want.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Go for it. It is a great product for the NFP sector.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less emails to board members.
Easy access to policy documents.
Ability to run circular resolutions on a portal like platform.

  ### 36. Boardable REview

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The Boardable portal has worked very well for our Board in managing all communication, documents and board materials. We can just upload all the documents and no longer have to print “board books”.
The tools that Boardable provides make it easy to find all documents needed that out Board will use and it’s very organized.

Boardable meets our needs and is very user friendly which is a plus.. We have been very pleased with the customer service that Boardable provides.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The minutes feature does not really work for us, but I don't consider it a dislke.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Great management for Board of Directors

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable has great customer service. If you have an issue an initiate a chat, someone is back with you in a reasonable amount of time.

  ### 37. Great Board Platform - keeps our board engaged and focused

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

It started with needing a good way to organize / structure our board and we quickly adopted many of the advanced features for scheduling, meeting minutes and the like. I believe it has played a large role in increasing the engagement of our board during and between meetings as well. Can't say enough good things about the platform and the support team, esp given the pricepoint!

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

There is not much I don't like. It seems like every time we approach growing out of their solution they add in new features like the mobile app, meeting minutes taker, ... that keep us digging in further. The hardest part is the age old problem of change management, especially with volunteer board members.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Removes all the time consuming items of running a board: scheduling meeting, distributing minutes, archiving documents, alerting board members, memorializing conversations (in person, via email, ...). Using the platform is very straightforward and professionalize the board experience with relatively little effort. Definitely a way of showing the board that you are taking things to the next level of sophistication.

  ### 38. Greatly improved board engagement.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbara M. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Board meeting documents all in one place and able to be amended live. The ability for committees to work together and for content to be available for new members.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We would like to be able to integrate conference calling, as our meetings are held via teleconference.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable keeps board and staff accountable. Nobody can say they didn't receive the documents. Board members are more empowered to call committee meetings.

  ### 39. Boardable is a Great Tool for any Board!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Everything the board needs is stored in one location. I also really like the ease of taking minutes since it gives you an agenda template to work through.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

When you open a document, it downloads it to your computer. I'd prefer to just open it, since I already have it on my computer it makes an other copy.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency in board communications.

  ### 40. Boardable is a great tool for nonprofit board management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pat A. | President, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable is simple to use, easy to learn and implement and a perfect solution to manage information and communications for nonprofit boards and committees.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Now that there is a mobile app, there is nothing on the 'do not like' list.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Give this software serious consideration - it has proven to be a great solution for our organization.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable has helped our organization streamline our communications, simplify our meeting scheduling, more easily publish meeting agendas and archive meeting minutes. It has also helped us create a more robust library of board and organization documents - a big upgrade over the previous 'board binders' that were constantly out of date.

  ### 41. Great tool for streamlining board communications and operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa N. | Marketing % Development Communications Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The calendar feature helps us keep board members informed of things happening at the organization without having to send them dozens of e-mails. The Documents area allows us to keep all of our organizational documents online where board embers can access them at any time.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The biggest problem we have had with Boardable is not with the app, but with board members who are not tech savvy and don't want to take the time to use it, even though it's relatively simple to use,

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Make sure your board is on board and willing to use the product. Take time to show them how it works and how it will benefit them to use it. Make time to train less tech-savvy board members to get them accustomed to using the product.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable has helped our board committees to work more efficiently together between board meetings. The message threads allow them to keep track of conversations and documents without having to dig through e-mail messages.

  ### 42. Great solution for board communications at a reasonable price

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt C. | Director, Creative and Digital Marketing, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I had the luxury of working with Boardable early on, before they took their product to market. They are very receptive to recommended feature enhancements and continually make product updates. They've grown to be able to provide the same functionality as the bigger players in the market, but at a much more affordable price point.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

We were an early adopter, so we did have to create some workarounds at the start to make it work for us -- as would be the case with any new product launch.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Boardable has been a great partner to work with. They also are always looking to improve their product.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the longest time we were sending board meeting packets via email attachments. They were massive files and board members had to search through email for older documents. Now there is a repository for all board materials. We can also create groups for our multiple committees.

  ### 43. Great Platform With Standard Features and Customization Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darcy L. | Director of Accounts and Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

This platform has helped to create more accountability and transparency, leading to a more effective board. But most of all, I like how quickly the Boardable team responds to a question, or request for a new/updated feature. Their software isn't perfect - but none is. Quirks are quickly rectified, and requests that require systematic changes are very frequently integrated in near-future updates. We are also able to manage permissions, so we can use this tool with our committees as well (a feature they added/updated so we could do so).

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I dislike the multiple steps it takes to complete an action sometimes. For example, once you've created a calendar event, you have to publish it, then opt to send it to recipients. Or, similarly, you can create a discussion, sit and wonder why no one's responded only to realize you never emailed a notification to anyone. Just small quirks that I'm sure they'll work out.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Definitely take advantage of the trial, ask questions and review the FAQs. Know what you're looking for this type of product to do, so you can identify whether the feature set meets your needs, then go from there.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing communications, meetings and files as it relates to board activity.

  ### 44. Intuitive set up with quick responses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anne R. | Operations Manager, Think Tanks, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable was very easy to set up and has been really useful as a centralized location for our board communication. The team at Boardable is really quick to respond to my questions. And I love the photo directory!

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I think the document center could use the most work. It is clumsy to view documents and attach them to messages. Also, the cost of Boardable is high for our small company. We opted for the smallest package to save money but are finding it hard to get the usability we want with the limited number of contacts.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boardable helps us keep track of meetings and is the best way I've found to poll the board and schedule meetings. It is easy to communicate with the whole group or any of our committees. The photo directory helps us all remember faces.

  ### 45. Boardable is Stupid Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. Alan J. H. | CEO/President, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The Boardable platform is very user-friendly and straightforward. My board, usually made up of retirees and technologically challenged, found it easy and extremely convenient. The ability to upload documents as they are available reduces our printing costs and board members can review documents at their leisure.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Boardable is constantly improving, so much so that I cannot think of anything that I do not like about the program.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Make the move now.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping board members informed about meetings is easy. Schedule the meeting and publish it and the program sends out reminder emails automatically, Now when a board member calls and asks about a policy or when the finance report will be out, all I have to say is, "Check boardable. It is there for you."

  ### 46. Best way to keep your board organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier S. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The best part about Boardable is that it allows me to do everything Board related on the same place. From organizing a meeting, and creating the agenda to keeping the files my board needs in the same place.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

I wished for a while that we could do meeting minutes right on the platform, but now we can.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

It has everything the other guys have at a more affordable price. It's easy to use and your Board will love it.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all my Board information in one place. Before everything was in multiple platforms, which makes it difficult for my Board to manage. Now they know that when it comes to us, they can go to Boardable to find the answer.

  ### 47. Great option to get your Board organized!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin M. | Chief Financial Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

The support is very responsive.
Reasonably priced.
The tools for creating the agenda and the minutes are big time savers.
The discussions section is a great way to hash things out before a meeting at the members leisure.
The polls are a great way to have a permanent record of Board decisions.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

The inability to create links to document folders to make it easy for the members to get to the documents they need to review.

The lack of a save button in the minute taker. Since there was not one, I assumed it was auto-saving and lost two hours of work.

I wish that the polls could actually be attached to the agenda item they pertain to.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

If you have non-tech savvy people on your Board, they may struggle a bit with finding what they need.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Volunteer time saver. Our organization is 100% Volunteer Powered and everything we can do to make the tasks easier to accomplish is a big plus for us.

  ### 48. Boardable is a great fit for our needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Boardable has all of the features we need for our Board, especially now that the Minutes Taker has been added to the platform. It has been easy to set up and share with all of the Trustees and key personnel, and it has been a smooth transition using the instructions and videos available for training.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

It would be very useful if it might be able to automatically detect timezone, also if Private notation on documents were possible, I know that there are personnel that would like to be able to do that.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Boardable is a great product, and should definitely be considered as an option, particularly if you are a small organisation. I would recommend doing the trial and setting up everyone who will need to use it so that they can get a feel for it, it really helps everyone to discover the ease of use for themselves and makes for a an easy transition.

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Board had been receiving a hardcopy of their Board packs up until we started using Boardable. It became apparent that the cost of paper, printing, binding and shipping was costing the Trust significantly more than if the Board turned to a digital format to receive and discuss their papers. This has made the whole process more efficient and the papers more accurate, with access being available to the Trustees instantly and communication able to go out to all parties at the same time.

  ### 49. It's been great so far, I just need my board to be more engaged

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

I really like the discussion feature and the fact that we can house documents here for everyone to access. WE have had issues in the past with board members having access to the most up to date versions of different documents. Now all of our board members know to check boardable first, this is their one stop shop to access the materials that they may need.

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

we're still challenged by the calendar- it's frustrating that the sync isn't where we want to be (because of security features on a lot of our boards email). Some of our board members use their work email and the privacy requirements of that email may be more strict than a personal one. I wish there was a way to get around this and not share an individual's entire calendar, just the one event. (Similar to how google detects if you have an event in your inbox and it automatically generates a calendar invite)

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication- making sure everyone has access to the same materials and having it be easily accessible

**What do you like best about Boardable?**

Being able to review pre-meeting any documents and agenda. Because voting can take place online while conducting our board meeting via conference call, we can speed through and capture results with little or no problems

**What do you dislike about Boardable?**

Would like to see more congruent flow from one area to another. I am not aware if there are video tutorials, but it would be helpful to have "how to video" link icons where a short explanation video could popup and clarify how to best utilize different aspects of the site.

**Recommendations to others considering Boardable:**

Hold a group online conference and have one person walk through onscreen how it works and where things are...

**What problems is Boardable solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documentation of meetings - not left to interpretation of recorder. Human error can occur when a person must recall by memory what was said. Each participant can make notes on each agenda item and along with voting records,
