“Streamlined Reporting with Room for Improvement”
What do you like best about Workiva?

I use Workiva for SEC filing, reporting with W Data, and other minor entities. I like how Workiva keeps our version control in check and allows for commenting and workflow on shared documents. It also enables us to conduct SOX testing, perform markups, and handle sample selections and requests efficiently. I'm glad we did the initial setup ourselves because it was very educational, which made us more familiar with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workiva?

Some areas that can be improved are markups, uploading support for audit and SOX testing. The sampling tool isn't as useful as I would like it to be, plus the request section and attaching things to spreadsheets can be a little finicky. The initial setup took much longer than I thought because we did it on our own without paying for a catered experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workiva keeps our version control in check, enhances workflow on shared documents, facilitates SEC filing and reporting with W Data, assists in SOX testing, markups, sample selection, and requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A great FP&A tool for reporting - Great team to help Implementation”
What do you like best about Datarails?

Datarails offers a great way to cleanly show concise data that can be drilled down into. I love the drill downs to the lowest level. Once you're set up it's really easy to use. I also love how easy it is to work with Excel. The data in datarails can also be extracted into excel means it is as diverse as you like. This takes some tweaking to get right but once it's there it's a dream to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

It's clearly still a new system, a few of the widgets need work and there are some nuances you come across every so often that shows how young it is in development. However, they have been quick to rectify a lot of these so credit to the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Datarails solving and how is that benefiting you?

Datarails is able to take our data from various sources, be it a Sage Intacct Integration or a flat file and make it easily manipulatable. We have struggled with KPI reporting in the past so the fact we can get quick and easy KPIs ahead of the leaders of the business on working day 1 is fantastic. “A Modern, User-Friendly ERP That Transformed Our Operations”
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I love how intuitive and easy Acumatica is to use, especially compared to our old DOS-based system. The financial controls and transparency it provides are a game changer—credit holds and pricing controls are now enforced, which was impossible before. Our warehouse has been completely transformed with the bin system and pick-pack path: we now have structure, order, and full visibility into inventory locations. Training new staff is quick and easy, and dashboards keep our sales team motivated. The mobile expense management is also a huge plus for our remote team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

The only aspect I wish we could improve is leveraging the AI-driven forecasting in purchasing. Right now, due to market volatility and limited historical data, we can't fully rely on it yet. Some legacy staff struggled with the increased controls and structure, and the change management was tough for a few people. Otherwise, there are no major complaints—the implementation was the easiest I've ever done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Acumatica solving and how is that benefiting you?

The credit hold system allows us to control which orders go out for customers who are in arrears. Each month, we gather more data, which helps us gain greater visibility into customer buying habits over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PS
“Streamlined Accounting with Smart Automation and Seamless Integrations”
What do you like best about Xero?

Xero consolidates our accounting processes and significantly reduces the repetitive work we would otherwise need to handle manually. By integrating with banking services, payment platforms, payroll systems, CRM tools, and other business applications, it keeps our financial information connected throughout the workflow and eliminates the need for duplicate data entry.

I also find its AI-powered automation features useful, particularly for transaction categorization, reconciliation suggestions, and identifying entries that may require review. While I prefer to evaluate important financial decisions independently, Xero provides a strong starting point and helps manage routine tasks more efficiently. As a result, we have better visibility into our financial position, improved collaboration across the team, and more time to focus on strategic account management rather than day-to-day accounting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xero?

Xero’s purchase bill functionality provides only one reference field, which limits users to entering either the purchase order number or the supplier’s bill number. If either reference is entered in the notes section, it does not appear in search results, making it difficult to locate bills efficiently.

Additionally, Xero does not currently offer a consolidation feature, and support for charity accounts is unavailable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?

Xero helps me maintain accurate financial records for clients and track income and expenses efficiently. One of its best features is the 30-day free trial, which allows users to evaluate the platform before committing to a subscription. Its integration capabilities are also excellent, enabling seamless connectivity with other business tools.

However, Xero currently lacks a consolidation feature and does not support charity accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Powerful ERP with Flexibility but a Learning Curve”
What do you like best about NetSuite?

What I like best about NetSuite is having accounting and financial information centralized in one system. I regularly use it for journal entries, AP, bank activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ability to drill down from a financial report directly to the underlying transactions is particularly helpful when researching variances or supporting balances.

I also find the CSV import functionality and saved searches very useful. They allow us to streamline repetitive processes and automate transaction uploads that would otherwise require significant manual entry. NetSuite is flexible enough to support multiple entities, departments, and classes, which is especially valuable in a more complex accounting environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

One of the biggest challenges with NetSuite is that some processes are not very intuitive, particularly when working with financial reporting and CSV imports. Import errors can sometimes be difficult to troubleshoot because the error messages do not always clearly identify the underlying problem.

Financial reporting can also require significant customization to obtain the information in the exact format needed. I would like to see stronger and more user-friendly reporting tools, especially for cash flow analysis and financial statement preparation.

NetSuite is very powerful, but the learning curve can be steep, and relatively simple tasks can sometimes require multiple steps or customized solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NetSuite solving and how is that benefiting you?

NetSuite helps us centralize accounting and financial information across multiple entities and provides a consistent platform for AP, journal entries, bank activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

One of the biggest benefits for me is the ability to automate processes that would otherwise require significant manual work. For example, CSV imports allow us to upload large volumes of transactions instead of entering them individually, and saved searches help with reconciliations, research, and recurring reporting.

From a financial reporting perspective, having the ability to drill down from financial statements to the underlying transactions also makes it easier to investigate variances, support balances, and complete month-end and quarter-end reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?

I dislike that we cannot leave certain dimensions open after periods close. I also do not like that once something is created at the entity level, admin cannot make it available at the top level. That seems like something easy for admin to handle. But multiple times it has caused difficulties when something (vendor, user, program, etc) is created at the entity rather than the top level. “Huge Time Saver: Customizable Excel-Friendly Reporting That Streamlines Everything”
What do you like best about Vena?

I like the customizability of reports, the ease of interfacing with Excel, and the streamlining of processes. One of the reports I use went from creating 50+ individual reports and emailing each one to the department manager to updating a single report template and giving the managers access to view it on Vena any time. Using the Task Bindings feature, I can lock down the report so each manager only sees their own department(s). If a change is needed, I only need to make it to the main template and all are updated. It is a huge time saver. Each year, I don't need to re-create reports for the new data, it is just a matter of updating the year that the report points at and everything else is automatic. This also reduces basic requests for account info since it is available to managers on demand, down to transaction-level details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

Vena's strength of customizability also means that if an implementation is not designed well from the beginning, it can be more challenging to use or improve going forward. A good design and setup is key. Many of the pre-built reports are pretty but overly complicated, and they can be challenging if not impossible to edit. I found that creating our own reports from scratch was the best way to get things the way I need them to work. Getting clear training and direction to create our own reports was more challenging than I would have liked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?

Vena has helped me automate many tasks that I used to have to do manually. It links spreadsheets together and pulls data from elsewhere in the database, saving me time tracking things down and verifying that a number of spreadsheets all have the same numbers - now they pull from the same source and match automatically. Vena has helped streamline several processes that used to involve a lot of emailing Excel sheets back and forth. Now we can just open a file, update data, and all the linked files will refresh with the new data. It saves a ton of time and reduces errors from hand-keying. Vena helps our managers to be self-sufficient in accessing their transaction data and tracking spending without needing to call or wait on someone to send it. I especially appreciate that the linked spreadsheets make our budget and forecasting process smoother and more efficient; even with more to do every year, it takes less time now than it ever has and we can get reports to the management team with very quick turnaround time. “Streamlined Compliance with Powerful Audit Trails”
What do you like best about FloQast?

The audit trails and unified month-end checklists are my top picks. Every reconciliation action and attached file carries a timestamp, fully compliant with German financial audit standards. The dashboard displays live task progress, shared lists let our finance team comment directly on work items, cutting down repetitive emails and missed deadlines drastically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FloQast?

Report customization options are too few, can’t adjust layouts to match local German audit forms. Bulk editing reconciliations runs sluggishly. It lacks native connection to our internal file server, so I manually upload all supporting documents monthly. Also, adjusting settings to meet local finance rules took lots of repeated edits during setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?

We previously handled all closing work via scattered Excel sheets. FloQast consolidates all closing procedures into one platform, unifies team task tracking and provides traceable audit materials. It drastically cuts audit preparation time, minimizes compliance risks and improves cross-team communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Highly Recommended: Easy Excel Integration for Faster ERP Reporting”
What do you like best about Velixo?

Velixo Intelligence (VI) has been an absolute game changer. It takes a product that was already in the "This is really good" territory to GOAT status. Unlike big-name AI software, VI has access to underlying ERP data in addition to the workbook data, so the analysis agent is unrivaled in its ability to accurately provide crucial insights that would otherwise be missed. The troubleshooting agent easily beats OpenAI and Anthropic. Formulas that took me a while to troubleshoot even with those AI models now take only a couple of seconds to fix with VI. The lead Velixo has on their ERP-to-Excel competitors just significantly increased. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Velixo?

I still use Microsoft CoPilot for the creating aspect of report and formula building. Hard to beat the creator of Excel when it comes to building efficient formulas and reports, although VI has been very quickly closing that gap in the time I've been using Velixo, and I suspect may overtake CoPilot in that area too before long. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Velixo solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Streamlined Bookkeeping with Compliance Caveats”
What do you like best about DualEntry?

I appreciate DualEntry's clean double-entry focused interface, which keeps transaction logging straightforward without excessive unnecessary features. It's particularly beneficial because our junior accounting staff can log entries and work on general-ledger tasks with minimal training, which eases our workload across different sectors. Additionally, the streamlined interface lowers the learning curve, allowing staff to focus purely on logging and reconciling client-transaction records, reducing human-entry errors and speeding up month-end close work. Setting up basic company profiles and entering journal transactions was very intuitive, enabling our team to start working almost immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DualEntry?

DualEntry has no native CRA-compliant tax templates for Canadian corporate filings, forcing us to export ledgers and manually adjust figures for T2 tax returns. It does not support guaranteed Canada-based data residency, creating PIPEDA compliance risks when storing sensitive client financial records. Native integrations with popular Canadian tax-prep tools are missing, and their support team has limited practical understanding of Canadian tax-code requirements. Since it lacks Entra-ID single sign-on, we manage team access separately. We still manually cross-check outputs to meet CRA reporting and PIPEDA requirements. Compliance-related configuration was a challenge with no built-in Canadian-tax-specific settings, necessitating custom internal workflows for CRA reporting and PIPEDA client-data safeguards. Building these compliance safeguards took extra unplanned-for time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DualEntry solving and how is that benefiting you?

DualEntry removes manual double-entry bookkeeping by centralizing transactions and simplifying reconciliation. It organizes data and reduces time sorting records, although manual steps are still needed for CRA and PIPEDA compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Intuit/Quickbooks Predatory Pricing model”
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

Its highly accessible because its a website. The interface is fine, though it changes constantly which isn't always great. The reliability has been mediocre. The real problem is customer service has steadily degraded over the years. In the beginning I could call somebody when things went wrong. But over the years that has gotten really bad. The banks integrations are mostly working, the pricing is not good. I do not like the AI features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

The pricing model is predatory. Once they have your data in their system they can simply increase the price at any time. They are doing that now by 40% for Quickbooks online plus. They know that customers won't like it but they also know that the cost of migrating all the data is higher than the price increase. Once they have you locked in they will abuse that position of trust. This is a company that treats you like prey, not a customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Modern, Intuitive ERP with Standout AI (Aura) and Close Management”
What do you like best about Rillet?

Rillet is a modern ERP with an intuitive interface that genuinely puts customers in the driver's seat. The AI capabilities are where it stands out, specially Aura, which handles the routine work like bank reconciliation, accruals, and flux analysis automatically. The close management tools are also a real differentiator: there's a built-in checklist, automated reconciliations, and prepaid expense tracking that used to require manual effort. The integrations with our existing tech stack were straightforward to set up, and the pace at which the platform keeps improving has been noticeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rillet?

Rillet is clearly built for the modern finance stack, and it does that very well. If you're in GovCon and need a DCAA-approved accounting system, that's a specific niche it isn't yet designed for, which is worth knowing if you're in that space. What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rillet has completely transformed what my team spends time on. What used to be data entry and manual reconciliation is now handled automatically, which has freed up real capacity to focus on more advanced, higher-value work. “All-in-One Stock Visibility with a Feedback-Driven, Responsive Stok.ly Team”
What do you like best about Stok.ly - Inventory Management ERP with Built-In AI?

What I like most is having everything in one place. We can see stock across all our locations and manage purchasing, transfers, and warehouse operations without having to jump between different systems or spreadsheets.

I also really appreciate how open the Stok.ly team is to feedback. We’ve suggested improvements and raised issues along the way, and they genuinely listen and try to understand how we use the system day to day, rather than just giving a standard support response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stok.ly - Inventory Management ERP with Built-In AI?

Some parts of Stok.ly can feel a bit overcomplicated, and they take longer to learn than they probably need to. There are also a few workflows where small tweaks could save a lot of clicks and make day-to-day tasks much quicker.

We’ve come across a few bugs too, especially during the initial setup. On the plus side, the team is responsive when we raise issues and is willing to look at ways to improve the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Stok.ly - Inventory Management ERP with Built-In AI solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem Stok.ly solves for us is keeping control of stock across multiple stores and our warehouse. Previously, a lot of this relied on spreadsheets, separate systems, and a fair amount of manual work.

Now we have a single place to see what stock we have, where it is, what’s selling, and what needs ordering or moving between locations. It’s made purchasing, transfers, and day-to-day stock management much easier and, most importantly, it gives us better information to base decisions on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The initial setup of complex, custom-mapped reports can take a little bit of time. However, the LiveFlow support team is super responsive and helps bridge that gap quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LiveFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?

We struggled with accurate cash flow forecasting. Because our actuals were updated manually, our forecasts were often based on outdated assumptions.

LiveFlow solves this by keeping our actuals current. This has made forecasting so much easier because we can now see our real-time cash position and runway at a glance. It allows us to perform instant variance analysis and make strategic pivots based on what is happening now, rather than what happened last month. It has saved our finance team hours of spreadsheet gymnastics every week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Fast Real-Time Reporting and Scalable Multidimensional Modeling in Anaplan”
What do you like best about Anaplan?

What I like most about Anaplan is the Polaris engine. Its sparse data approach gives us more flexibility with dimensionality without constantly running into space constraints. Data Orchestrator has also reduced our reliance on third-party integration tools by acting as a built-in hub for push/pull data flows. Workflow has made approvals and task handoffs much smoother across teams, and the recent NUX updates have made dashboards noticeably more intuitive to use. I also see a lot of potential in the new Co-Modeler to speed up model building and project deployment through AI-assisted configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anaplan?

The downsides are that the UX features aren’t very flexible compared to other reporting tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Anaplan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anaplan is solving problems across supply chain and financial planning. It is helpful for planning and scenario-based use cases. Previously, users used to maintain different Excel files and versions for their zone and product, and consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting were challenging tasks. Anaplan provides a single platform where they can plan and report, and the reconciliation can be calculated by the platform itself according to the design built for that application. It has various connection with third party platform which make it easier to load data and report them and use them for planning Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Fulcrum Aligns Teams with Clear, Visual Value Stream Mapping”
What do you like best about Fulcrum?

Fulcrum intuitively connects upstream and downstream, and it really gets everyone rowing in the same direction. It’s a visually based platform that clearly value stream maps a manufacturing operation. It also links the shop floor to the front office, giving real traction to ideas and improvements. The interface captures tribal knowledge and helps connect the team, so information and progress don’t get stuck in silos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fulcrum?

The invoicing feature needs more search options to make it easier to locate specific invoices, and it would also help to have a way to link invoices to packing lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Fulcrum solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is helping scale our company by leveraging the knowledge of veterans and making that knowledge accessible. Fulcrum feels like a touchstone for developing future leaders in manufacturing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
