**What do you like best about Workshop?**

The ease of use and the template library. Our Client Success Team has stepped up to assist us with any issues that have come up.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

Backend support with our SFTP Sync could be improved. I believe with our Client Success Manager, this will no longer be an issue moving forward.


**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workshop is offering us the ability to streamline our communications across the company from top to bottom. We've overall seen an increase in engagement and collaboration between teams.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

I love how I can re-use  sections to make the next newsletter easier. It super convenient to see the metrics and we can easily make a yearly campaign for ROI year after year. It's also nice that I can see who opened and clicked and use that for who we might need to reach out to for a follow up!

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

This is probably user-error, but if I need to re-arrange the newsletter, I have a hard time. I think it is because I didn't set it up properly from the beginning! I would love to see MORE metrics, for example I see the clicks and the number of clicks per link...but WHO clicked those links. Unless I am looking in the wrong place!

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a consistent place to make my newsletter and reach out to our program users about updates, tips and tricks.

I love that I can see analytics with every message we send through Workshop. This then allows me to see what pockets of staff we are missing with emails and determine other ways to ensure we are reaching those staff with our messaging.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

I have not come up with a downside to Workshop yet!

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workshop was the first tool we onboarded when developing an internal communications plan. It has been the cornerstone to reaching staff in a consistent, professional way. I love that we are able to see the results of each message and collect emails into campaigns further allowing me to measure the effectiveness of messaging. Our staff have had so many positive things to say about the emails they receive as well.

Automation would be nice - but we are in the works of getting this set up now!

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

The platform is straightforward to use and has excellent functionality and features. We onboarded back in 2023 and have been extremely happy ever since with email and SMS. Additionally, the entire team is invaluable. You can tell they have a great culture and enjoy what they do.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

I have nothing negative to say about the Workshop.

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The first problem that was solved was the HRIS integration so we didn't have to manually update distribution lists weekly. Now, the lists are updated overnight!

Conscious of the email size regularly as our emails tend to clip with Gmail if over a certain size

I love how easy it is to arrange, format, and organize my content seamlessly. I'm so used to adjustments messing up the entire look of the document, but with Workshop, there's no struggle or issues that I've previously encountered with other software!

I wish it were a little easier to customize sizing & wrap text around an image.

It's easy to communicate from the same official/group/platform since we're able to save templates and easily reuse them for messages from a specific source.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

Workshop makes creating custom branded emails for internal audiences easy through customizable templates. The ability to send by time zone and have readers adjust to their preferred languages makes it a fit for our global team.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

In the future I'd like to see more drag and drop capabilities to make building emails easy and efficient, as well as an improved library with more relevant stock imagery for an employee audience. The ability to see bounce backs and whether or not emails are delivered would boost our credibility with leadership as they sometimes overlook emails or find them in their spam folder.

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching a dispersed global workforce with timely, relevant communications. We send a biweekly e-newsletter as well as "just in time" communications.

Ease of email development. Ability to track. I use this for all corporate communications.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

Missing some features - one in particular is how you can't eliminate individuals from a list. You have to create a new list. This is messy and unnecessary. I've used HubSpot for 15+ years - I do this easily in HubSpot.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

It's easy to use and ticks all the boxes for an internal email distribution tool - works with our staff directory to seamlessly sync distribution lists, provides sound metrics to track how our emails are performing and gives the appearance as if the email came from Outlook directly which is more reassuring to staff than email distribution lists that automatically have an external email warning header. Also appreciated is the function to send emails on behalf of someone else and intuitive use of the tool itself. Plus you can copy paste text directly from a word editor without it messing up formatting.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

I do wish there was a possibility to assign admin permissions to more users than 4 within the licence to help with creating emails without paying for each such user level on top.

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to be able to track how our employee emails are performing and Workshop's metric capability allows me to do that.
I also need to be able to send emails on behalf of other senior staff members which is easy to do with Workshop.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

Workshop has an easy to use email creation plug and play format. I have been able to figure the majority of its functions by just simply going through the buttons. Its a well planned out UX/UI.
I love seeing the analytics piece.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

The biggest opportunity for making Workshop better is creating a back and/or undo button function. In that same vein it would be helpful if the program responded to keyboard shortcuts like undo or redo.
I also wish I could have a group dashboard of multiple campaigns for the analytics. In my company several different departments use this tool and the current dashboard is every email that is sent. I wish I could see the stats for the emails that just my department sent.

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I initially suggested that my team switch to Workshop because we would be able to use our official brand fonts and colors on the platform.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

The analytics are unbelievably helpful in understanding my reader behavior.  I also find the templates and cloning capability really useful for iterating my designs and continually improving the look and polish on my communications.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

It doesn't have some of the granularity of a more established tool and perhaps a small thing, but it trips me up that you can't use standard keyboard commands (ctrl+C, ctrl+z, etc.) .  There are one or two quirks like this in the build tool that make it less intuitive, but overall the ease of use is exceptional.

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have any data about our emails before and now we have great insights.  It's helping me understand what our employee body responds to, and how they behave with similar communications over time.  Put another way, it helped me go from "intuition" about how my readers were responding and engaging with communication - or anecdotal feedback - to having data-driven insights.  This puts me on the same plane as the rest of my organization to approach communications with good data behind it.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

Our internal comms team test drove several platforms before finding our way to Workshop. The other unnamed platforms did us bad. I have the gray hair and declining mental health to prove it. Enter Workshop. It was easy to learn, easy to use, and easy to share with new partners in our organization.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

I wish there was a way to transfer our brand guidelines that we have set up in Canva into Workshop. It would be nice to carry over everything.

Workshop saves us time by being able to create nice looking messages very quickly. It is also giving us the ability to track our metrics and justify our hard work.

What I like most about Workshop is its unwavering commitment to excellence, from sales through implementation and post-onboarding support. Their materials are top-notch: every webinar is informative, their guides are phenomenal, and their Internal Comms Best Practice annual report is very relevant and helpful. And then there's the software itself: very easy to use, great analytics, and nice integrations with other tools. Not only am I happy with this software, it has exceeded my expectations.

Honestly, I'm a little stumped here. I hope Workshop will continue to bring excellence and new features. So far, it has not disappointed.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

As an Internal Communications Coordinator, Workshop has been a dream to work with, even in the early days of development. When I first joined my company, I was anxious about learning new programs in a timely and effective manner, especially since I had limited experience with email-building software. I was pleasantly surprised at the simple user experience, creating a smooth learning curve for myself and my management team. I found it very easy to implement my existing skillset into the Workshop software, which was essential given I utilize the platform daily. For context, my team sends around 60 emails per month to a diverse audience (list segmentation is crucial here)! Recently, we integrated our Associate database program with Workshop to provide an always-current directory and even deeper Auto List capabilities. I truly enjoy the dynamic features Workshop is frequently adding, including GIF and stock image options, as well as audience insights. The content-building options are plentiful to meet my team's needs, and changes are easy to navigate. One of the most helpful things about this platform is its built-in analytics for readership, clicks, opens, and more - especially when it can be sorted out by distribution lists and individual recipients. I have yet to fully explore their new sharing and calendar functions, but I know these are actions taken based on user feedback, which I greatly appreciate. Working with Katie and Josh at Workshop, she is always receptive to user insight and passes along our recommendations to the engineers. I love that when I send a recommendation to Workshop, they acknowledge my idea and give a timeline of when we could expect to see such a feature. All in all, what I like best about Workshop is its ability to support our brand with internal emails in a sophisticated, engaging manner.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

Recognizing that Workshop is very much in a start-up phase, I appreciate all the team has done to correct snags and provide customer support for my challenges. As I said, our account manager is extremely responsive and receptive to recommendations, so I know I am supported with solutions when I run into challenges. At this time, I would like to see Workshop integrate more copywriting functions, such as word count, fonts, and dynamic text rather than using current workarounds. A function that would be more helpful, especially in my line of work with onboarding, would be the ability to clone entire campaigns, rather than just individual emails. Cloning single emails and adjusting each setting to transfer it to a new campaign is tedious. As with all email software, Outlook produces challenges (weird lines, rounded corners, image errors) for formatting in the recipient's inbox, and Workshop is no different. However, I can credit Workshop with being proactive about education and offering solutions when major issues arise with Outlook.

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workshop is playing a critical role in sharing information with our Associates, onboarding new hires, and creating a vibrant culture of engagement. In my role, Workshop enabled us to roll out a brand new onboarding communications plan that delivers essential information to our new hires and acclimates them quickly to our culture. This 7-part email series in Workshop has solved knowledge gaps, remote isolation, and general challenges in an Associate's first 90 days. Overall, this benefits the company by delivering brand value, improving retention and engagement, and developing deeper connections with our Associates. In addition, we have leveled up our communications by aligning with our brand in exciting and aesthetic ways. With such success in an educational onboarding program, we have expanded to use Workshop to roll out onboarding surveys, which happen four times during an Associate's start with us.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

Workshop is simple and easy to use. It has a lot of great features to help communicators reach their audiences at the right time and with the right message. For example, you can segment different parts of an email to include different messages to different audiences all within the same email. The customer service is second to none. They're responsive and always work quickly to resolve any questions or issues that arise. I would recommend Workshop to anyone looking for an internal communications tool.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

Honestly, there's not much I dislike about it. I wish I could also use it as an external email tool, but that's not what it's built for.  Maybe someday (wink, wink, Workshop team)!

I need tool to measure email analytics, create distribution lists, and compile information in an easy-to-read format.

Workshop is so easy to use. 

The UI is awesome. 

The stats and dashboards are reliable. 

It's a software that I trust to do what it's supposed to do without error.

The only downside is that sometimes the canva sync isn't instantaneous, but I've noticed the speed getting better and rarely is that an issue. And if it is, I just download the picture and then upload it vs using a connection.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

Workshop's onboarding and implementation process was extremely quick and easy. Integrating our systems was so simple. Their team did an amazing job guiding our team through the process  (our IT team was especially impressed with Workshop's knowledge and helpfulness during the process). We had zero issues as a Google/Gmail based organization (and we love the Slack integration!)

Our team found Workshop to be by far the easiest to use platform on the market (we use it every day, and love the data/metrics that the tool provides!) . But maybe the thing we like most is that their team is constantly rolling out new features/functionality based on direct feedback from customers. (So cool to see!)

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

Nothing really comes to mind. (I just wish our team would have found Workshop sooner!)

Before Workshop, I was in the dark as it pertains to data/analytics. I had no way to know if my audience was resonating with the email communications that I was sending them. Now, our team has actionable data/insights which have been invaluable! The other big problem we had before making the switch to Workshop was the lack of design options in our emails (which we previously sent directly out of Gmail). Now, our emails are super on brand and our audience finds them much more engaging to read.

Workshop is extremely easy to use and customizable to your organization. The team is extremely responsive whenever I have questions or requests for email templates. It's been great to see more teams across the business wanting to use Workshop, as they can see the ROI and the impact it has on our employees. Switching to Workshop from an external mail tool was the best accomplishment of my role thus far!

while it looks good once its sent out, it is REALLY hard to use. not very logical the way certain blocks are set up. the customizations for creating the emails are really confusing and not easy to use. i cant make the customizations i want because i dont think the features exist. or when i make an edit it edits the wrong thing, but i cant figure out how to edit the thing i really need to fix. overal the product is interesting, but needs a lot of QA work i think.

I've really enjoyed using Workshop to send out internal emails. The onboarding process was smooth, and the Support team is always quick to answer any questions I have. If you've worked with tools like Constant Contact or MailChimp in the past, transitioning to Workshop is seamless, and the user interface is easy to adapt to. I also appreciate the simple analytics dashboard, which lets me track URL clicks, measure how long teammates engage with emails, and view traditional metrics like open and click rates. The integration with Azure Directory has been a game changer — no more manually managing email addresses each week!

If you're familiar with email communication tools, you'll quickly adjust to the design nuances and quirks of the email builder. However, for those new to tools like Workshop, it may take some time to achieve the exact design you're aiming for.

I love their Happy Monday Club emails with tips, tricks, templates and ideas. Their customer service is great. When I had a an account issue when I changed my legal name, they were able to action quickly and sync my work across both email aliases. Overall, it's easy to use and great to be able to view other people's work / templates to get ideas on how to make my work more engaging. The analytics are a great feature. I love exporting metrics and share with stakeholders to share in the success.

There are challenges in making sure backgrounds and hyperlinks maintain the same quality when in dark mode.

The tracking functionality is the most important part of workshop for me.  It is so easy to not just diagnose specific emails and how often links within emails are accessed, but times of day when it might be best to send communication.  It is very easy to build new comms, but also to clone old ones.  For campaigns that run regularly, I can save a ton of time by cloning emails and updating them for relevance.  The surveying additions are very helpful as wel.

None really.  Sometimes it takes me time to figure out how to make my comms aesthetically pleasing, but that is likely more on me than the software.

We started using Workshop in April of this year for our internal communications to all 900 employees after having various problems with Constant Contact over the previous year. Workshop integrates with our company's email servers and delivers to all of our employees, with the photos loading instantly. We've sent out 57 emails since beginning with Workshop and have almost 35k in opens. We would recommend Workshop to anyone. It's easy to use and implement, and they have great customer support.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

I would love if Workshop offered an events side to their platform, but I don't have anything that I dislike about it.

Workshop never delivers my emails to Spam, ensuring that all of our employees are receiving our communication and have the information they need.

I like that it's fairly user-friendly and quick to use and pull together a template. The customer service is good and I like the team - they are quick to help!

It doesn't have good stats that we can utilise in a meaningful way - i.e. analysing our data and telling us the best times to send or even giving us the raw data to analyse. I think it could have better picture editing. The paragraph  content feature is clunky and glitchy and I don't like that I can't add bullet points in it. The tables look old-fashioned. It's also hard to search for previously sent emails unless you know specific details (key-words aren't easy to use).

I also didn't know who was reading them and certainly could not include any interactive elements (so they were probably very boring). Workshop's templates changed all of that. The drag & drop blocks, easy editing, beautiful premade templates cut down my time spent by at least 3 hours, and the interactive elements and tracking metrics help me keep things interesting, fresh and accountable.

Workshop has transformed the way we approach internal communications, striking a balance of power and simplicity. Intuitive. Comprehensive. Streamlined. It delivers!

They’ve managed to take the best features from other platforms, fine-tune them, and serve up an even more polished product. We use it daily. The analytics feature is a game-changer: robust, detailed, yet presented in a way that is user-friendly. The customer support team is like no other customer service we've experienced. They respond within minutes and always follow-up and fix any issues/questions quickly. Their image library is another standout that solved previous problems we had with other tools. The convenience and functionality of the cloud-based landing pages allow us to address several needs in one fell swoop and get employees comms with a smoother experience. 

The onboarding process was a breeze – they had us up and running within a day. The entire team transitioned with ease and had a sense of confidence from the start. Training others on the platform is almost effortless, thanks to its intuitive design.

We've just upgraded to Premium to access even more features, and we're planning to set user permissions for department contacts within our company, bridging gaps all thanks to Workshop.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

Honestly, if you're searching for a downside at Workshop, you might find yourself at a dead end. The only negative would be the anticipation of upcoming features teased on their roadmap, which we're eager to use right away.

Workshop is addressing a variety of our comms challenges. It streamlines the creation and distribution of our internal newsletters (we have a weekly and monthly newsletter), simplifies the process of updating teams on policy changes, and provides a hub for all our email efforts. The analytics empower us to make data-driven decisions, enhancing the effectiveness of our outreach and internal messaging. Integration with our HRIS system has also improved information accuracy and streamlined the process, saving us considerable time and ensuring a more cohesive and aligned communication strategy company-wide. Now, with texting on the horizon, we can truly connect with every employee in the most direct and engaging way possible, and look forward to reaching our deskless employees.

I like how easy the platform is to use for our nontechnical colleagues. We can send out magazine-quality (in terms of aesthetics) messages to staff which I am sure does make them more likely to read them. We have great analytics in the platform that measures this engagement and complies with GDPR. It was an easy app to set up

It is expensive, this is a luxury product I feel. What it does, it does very well and I have seen features growing such as the sms messages features being added and I would like to see more features included.

Workshop is the employee communication tool we were looking for. One of the best things is the ability to segment audiences. When we used Workshop for benefits open enrollment, we could target specific populations, such as folks who had an HSA or an FSA to remind them of any extra steps needed to take in the enrollment process. 

Workshop was easy for every user on our team. The platform is intuitive and easy to understand. 

I love being able to track any email's performance and the expanded communications calendar has been helpful to know when specific teams have a communication planned so we're not sending too many at once. 

The Workshop team has been incredibly helpful in all aspects.

We had a bit of a struggle getting a connection set up with our HR platform, but I don't believe that was because of Workshop or their team.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

We have used Workshop since May 2024. Our newsletters now have a more consistent look and feel, they are easier to prepare and send to the right audiences, and we can see useful metrics for each sent message. The Workshop team made the setup easy and helped us create great custom templates for our emails.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

We'd like to be able to refine the metrics data more.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

The Workshop team is always available to help if needed. The platform is extremely user friendly and doesn't take a lot of time to figure out. Workshop is constantly making improvements in the platform that have all been very useful. Easy to use and send out emails to employees. The scheduling and calendar feature is really nice to have to make sure there isn't any overlap. Overall, I have really enjoyed using Workshop.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

Workshop has made many updates to the platform that have been useful. The original integration with UKG was a little difficult, but that was more on the UKG side than Workshop.

Workshop has helped us create consistent employee communications that look more professional and have reporting capabilities to assist us.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

This is by far the best platform to use for company-wide emails. This customization and interactive features make this program far more valuable than it's competitors'. It is very easy to create templates and edit them with personal touches. Feedback from our audience has been excellent.  Also, the speed of customer service is top-notch. Responses usually come within a matter of minutes.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

The setup process with our HRIS platform was a bit cumbersome but it is like that with any new integration.  The only hiccups have been with final editing - no spell check, watching for formatting differences between desktop and mobile platforms.

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main difficulties have been with Workday integrations and ensuring that information is carrying over correctly.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

Workshop is really easy to use and intuitive. I use it multiple times a day - it's one of my always open tabs! I was very quickly able to get up to speed on how to use Workshop  and was building emails within minutes.  The analytics are incredibly useful and we're able to prove the success of what we're doing back to the business. 
The team at Workshop are really helpful and willing to respond to suggestions to improve user experience.  I love the customer service, always on hand and super quick to respond to any query and support any issues that may arise.  There are simple guides to follow to make using Workshop easy, especially when integrating with other systems. 
I have regular calls with our account manager and we're kept up to date on what's coming up from Workshop, new features that are implemented and how we can better improve our ways of working.

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

I'd really like the option to copy and paste rows from one email into another. I'd also like the option, once an email is sent to then send it on to another person, for example if they have been missed off the distribution list. At the moment that requires either sending a link or cloning the email to send again.

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workshop helps us to get emails out to the business and importantly measure and analyse how they are performing so we can measure success and provide data back to the business. We are having increasingly more people come to us for support with their comms when they see the benefits of Workshop.

**What do you like best about Workshop?**

Not only does Workshop provide great internal emailing options and tools, but they also have a wonderful support team that is always open to feedback! Their customer support is truly unmatched. The team ensured the implementation process was seamless by integrating the sales representative into the entire onboarding proocess to ensure we always had a familiar face on calls along with the technical team. We never felt that we were left in the dark about any processes, hidden fees, or accessibility to the platform during the entire implementation!

**What do you dislike about Workshop?**

The only downside of Workshop is the inability to edit/crop photos within the tool. However, this should be resolved soon!

**What problems is Workshop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of our main business needs for Workshop is the data. We were previously using another emailing tool that was not strategically built for internal use which did not allow us to see any data or analytics on the communications we were sending. With Workshop, we are able to see SO much valuable data within the platform and are able to better identify where and how our people are absorbing information internally.
