Sapling provides a smooth and well structured onboarding workflow. The steps are clear, intuitive, and easy to follow with minimal confusion. I especially like the timeline feature that highlights the company’s history

rofile pages could also be enhanced by allowing direct clickable links to LinkedIn or other platforms instead of requiring copy/paste. The greyed-out sections create some visual confusion. Additionally, the Intercom chat widget feels slightly intrusive, as it occupies significant space and doesn’t minimize easily.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sapling streamlines and standardizes the onboarding/offboarding process, ensuring consistency for both interns and full-time employees. It creates a structured and professional introduction to the company, reducing uncertainty and making the transition smoother. As a new joiner, this clarity and organization are highly valuable.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

Sapling is easy to use and is really helpful when first joining an organisation (especially when remote working). It helps get onboarded quickly. As a hybrid worker I found it invaluable. It notifies me when I have documents to sign or new contracts. I have used it a lot in the current job.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Sometimes notifications can be missed. Sometimes documents are hard to find.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sapling allows us to onboard people more easily to the organisation giving checklist to get people set up. Thorughout work it allows documents to be distributed to the right person and the write time and see their interaction.

Sapling does a great job of getting new employees up to speed, ensures compliance in following all key set-up steps , and helps remind them to do all necessary steps.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Its was honestly really great. Some steps were unnecessary, and sometimes reminders came before steps could even be completed, but I think that had more to do with our specific implementation.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring consistency and a high standard of the onboarding process. Employess can mange the process of getting set-up and Sapling helps manage the challenges of communications to both work and personal email addresses.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

I appreciate the flexibility of the system to set up the fields and workflows I need to run HR processes and also keep track of and report on HR data. While the differentiation from competitors isn't extreme, I do think saplings flexibility with adding fields and seting up workflows is a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

The navigation on the back end isn't always the most user friendly. Sometimes I have to click through a few different fields to get to what I want. Also, while they have api's available and you can easily set up API keys- I know from one system in particular (knoetic) that they aren't always open and willing to work with that system to send the data in useable ways.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sapling is our core HRIS and our onboarding and offboarding workflow tool. It helps us autmate much of our Hr processes and is an easy to use platform for employees for HRIS type tasks- time off, org chart, promotions, etc.

  ### 7. I think its the BEST HR system that exists of the new age

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

I was able to implement this pretty much on my own over the course of a few days. We didn't have any other system to transition from. In general, the training with the team was bang on and informative. BEST THING... embedded videos ya'll.

I like the simple UI. Integrates easy with Google.

What I think most HR systems miss, is that they are build with the HR person as the user, but here is the thing. EMPLOYEES who can do more, will reduce the impact on HR, which is really solving the problem. The employee experience is incredible, we have all employees participating on all main purposes with no laggards, and that's saying something!

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

The time off part was a bit more trickier than I would have liked, but the UI is great. Missing functionality is putting people on "leave" with appropriate workflows from there. I'm sure it's coming through.

Wish they had an LMS part of the platform or some Performance stuff, issue with the performance stuff is the out of the box stuff available, rarely fits a company and is hard to develop.

Its our source of truth for all employee related things. Employee and Manager self serve has been great with vacation time, sick time, and just general "info" people need about our employees.

  ### 8. Streamlines our onboarding but difficult to manage when you scale

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

Automated tasks, re-assigning tasks, reporting, sequencing tasks, customized fields and forms on employees' profiles make it an easy tool to use for onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

There are some things that could definitely be made better. With the workflows, there is no way to easily compare tasks across workflows or delete or assign the same task from/to multiple workflows. We have a lot of workflows set up, and it's difficult to manage. Also, it would be so user friendly if when you're on an employee profile, when you scroll down, it keeps the name and information at the top. I often am looking at an employees profile and, now that we're a few hundred, have to scroll all the way back up to see whose profile I'm on - very annoying. Finally, there are issues in pulling reports - I ask it to pull ALL the individuals in Sapling, and some people don't get pulled even though they're in Sapling.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were onboarding using gsheets previously which was super tedious and not fit for our growing needs. We have become more efficient in onboarding people, and I think employees appreciate it. We also can keep track of how far a new hire is in the onboarding process and have a record of whether a step was done or not.

It can be a little clunky at times, signing documents, profile editing are the things staff have issues with mostly. We require a system that does not rely on good internet signal.

It ensures consistency, avoids emailing certificates and contracts, provides an audit trail. Allows me to issue forms to entire team in one simple step.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

Sapling had an appealing and mostly intuitive user interface. The integration with Greenhouse was very helpful when it came to moving candidates into the onboarding stage. I also like the customizable workflows for new hires and offboarding.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Sapling has some limited functionalities that we've been able to solve by moving our onboarding over to Paylocity instead. I also found some issues in creating the customized workflows like setting the relative dates and not being able to assign the same customized task to multiple people. Sapling also doesn't have an EDI feed available to directly transfer benefits enrollments and changes to our carriers.

Sapling has been helping us with our onboarding and offboarding processes. By assigning tasks to all individuals involved in the processes it's an easy way to know who needs to do what for each change in the employee lifecycle.

My favorite thing about Sapling is its integration into our systems to keep HR informed. I know our data is correct because we can quickly onboard and onboard people with Sapling.

So far, there's nothing I don't like about Sapling. My company doesn't use the full capabilities, so if I'd change something, it would be that, but that's on us to do.

Sapling solves our problem of needing multiple systems to track employees. With Sapling, we can onboard employees (integrated with our ATS), assign them tasks, assign tasks to others who are part of onboarding, and even see our org chart!

Sapling tasks! This is a great feature and I like that they are sorted by due dates. I also like the autofill features when creating a sapling profile. It has saved time.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Documents! This is what seems to glitch the most. Limitations around documents - not being able to adjust a co-signer, ect. I also wish it integrated with Greenhouse.

A full onboarding platform and creating a positive onboarding experience for new hires. It helps to have everything in one place and saves time sending out communications and asking for info.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

The ability to create templates and saved workflows for on/offboarding team members on different teams. Our team became permanently distributed during the pandemic and this tool has made it so much easier for each stakeholder in this process to clearly understand what is happening from a hiring perspective, and what tasks they're responsible for.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

I would really love the ability to chat/communicate within the tool. We still find ourselves taking some of the back and forth outside of Sapling and then returning to the tool to complete. Would love to be able to do it all in Sapling.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a distributed team and a busy on/offboarding calendar, Sapling has infinitely improved communication within all talent stakeholders. We all now know who is joining/leaving, when, on which team, with which manager, etc. This has been a game-changer for us!

Sapling offers many different modes to allow new employees to quickly get a read on what to expect in terms of company culture and in order to get to know their team quickly!

There are also a lot of integration options including TriNet and Lever which i don't see integrations for very often!

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Sapling can sometimes feel a bit clunky and if not used correctly leads to employees feeling as though it's just another thing in their inbox to read. Make sure that company wide you instill value in Sapling to begin.

Sapling helps me to effectively and efficiently automate the process of welcoming new team members in a personal matter without having to stir up new emails every time. It is also a source of truth for vital company information.

Employee details, workflow, and overall setting also great. It mainly gives us opportunities to set up standardise processes that can be implemented through the workflows. It helps us have a very comprehensive data management.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

I wish to have more customisation on the exit survey questions. Also, fewer bugs, if possible. There are times that I will get forced close while doing the work. Most importantly, i would love to get Sapling can be integrated to more systems, so if the API integration can be used more often, that'd be ideal.

Save so much time on onboarding / offboarding. Employee data management for a quick health check. Standardizing workflow and process and can be customized for covering more region with specific task to complete

The ease of customization within the sapling platform has been our number one favorite thing! We're able to survey our staff, ensure that we have emergency contacts and support our onboarding process all in once space!

Very little, honestly! The fact that we (on our end) haven't loaded all of our full experience into the platform is it.

I like how I can view the org chart in real time, and adjust who I see. I also love how the time off is integreted there, as well as a mini hub of information for my benefits etc.

Nothing really? It all seems great since it is there as an asset and alternative to things we used before. It combines so many things into one.

I’m happy to share that Sapling is in the final stages of rolling out a fully revamped UI. With beta testing wrapped and last-minute tweaks tweaked, we will start rolling out the new Sapling to everyone over the next few weeks. Sometimes it runs slow, or I have to refresh my screen to be able to search for specific team members. Due to having a lot to do in my position quick and efficient speed is crucial to grab what I need and more on to the next.

You can customize almost anything with Sapling, which makes creating workflows a breeze. We have so many different types of teams and roles, which ultimately made onboarding a real challenge...until Sapling. Sapling has allowed us to launch very specific or comprehensive workflows depending on the needs of those individuals / teams.

Limitations on integrations // functionality..It would be a total game changer if performance reviews and engagement surveys could be integrated via this onboarding tool.

Integration between Sapling and 15Five. Right now, we're still manually onboarding folks to 15Five so with Saplings help, this will become a hands-off process shortly.

I like the profile aspect of it, it allows you to express yourself and show your colleagues a different side of you. It's also cool to explore other people's pages.

The connection to ADP does not work and causes a lot of confusion. My time off and vacation balances do not match at all, and the requests sent in Sapling do not sync.

It allows you to learn about co-workers in a more casual way. It also is a nice, clean platform to use. 
If set up properly, it would allow me to easily track my time off.

Sapling has a very flexible customizable workflow that allows HR teams to set up onboarding workflows based on location, department & status.  This is super helpful in working with geographically dispersed teams.

The HRIS capability is overstated.  There is no formal compensation structure aspect.  The integrations are limited and many things that are essential to running HR are on the roadmap, but not yet implemented.

Prior to Sapling implementation, we were operating on GoogleSheets for our HR database.  Sapling provides us with a full global view of our team & allows us to grab business intelligence on our workforce quickly.

The user interface is very intuitive. They give a lot of focus on UX, and they take feedback on this. I like their customer success team. They are very responsive and help us troubleshoot any roadblocks.

It takes a lot of time to implement new features. I have requested a few of them, and they have not been implemented yet. They follow an internal sprint process to prioritize these feature requests. However, this is something they could work better.

Sapling is a good tool for small to medium size company.

We are using Sapling for onboarding our newcomers and assigning tasks to different team members (like the manager, peer, or IT). We have also integrated Sapling into our HRIS and can pass information back and forth without any issues.

Sapling is a nice all-in-one tool for HRIS. I use it mainly to track PTO requests, pull reports and maintain accurate HRIS information in all of our FT and contractors.

One thing I do dislike about sapling is the documentation setup. I do wish I could see historical copies of documents (new hire files/etc.)

My favorite part about Sapling is how easy it has made remote onboarding for us. It has allowed us to streamline our process and automate things that would have normally taken many more hours

Integrations are a little tricky. They haven't been seamless but they work for the most part. A greater focus on integrating with other HR platforms would really take Sapling to the next level.
