I no longer have to be at a dedicated station to work on problems. If I have a reliable computer, laptop or tablet, I can work off of that and assist my FOH employees even if I am home or away from the restaurant. My nightly reports are now more in-depth and can be customized to what I need and my financing and accounting departments want. Inventory and P-Mix can be better controlled. In this economy, every dollar counts in restaurants, and I cannot afford to waste anything. **What do you dislike about Aloha Cloud?** My resort runs off of a few different types of software and getting Aloha to talk to the other programs is still unreliable. There can Banquet and Event checks that do not sync over to the room's software. I do not know if that is a system problem or Aloha trying to get us to make their software exclusive to the resort. New employees need some time to learn everything on the next programs, but I assume that is normal. If there is an Internet outage because of Spectrum, I lose the connections to the cloud and that causes problems with running credit cards and closing checks, **What problems is Aloha Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** As COVID is bringing back Guests to the restaurants. we have had to make daily adjustments to our menu due to supply shortages. Unavle to access reports for daily activities easily. Reporting for State required tax reporting lacks breakdowns, as our State requires to report cash sales pre-tax and credit card sale pre tax. Aloha is unable to provide the numbers. A mathematical drill has to be performed. But first you have to subtract sales for certain items because the reports themselves are not able to perform that function. Daily sales reports cannot be accessed easily. If you operate with Apple computers, be prepared to having to purchase WIndows Parallel program to be able to access reports from anywhere other than the one back of house computer that is hardwired to the main POS monitor/system in your restaurant. This is not a cloud based program that is easily accessed in spite of the way they advertise and sell it to you as being. I can go on. If there is a way you can contact me for info, feel free to do so. If you are a small business owner, run and run fast, away from Aloha. For starters, let's take the gift cards from a previous POS system we were involved in that they still are unable to integrate into Aloha to accept all (really lots) of the gift cards that we have outstanding.
