What do you like best about Smile.io?

Smile.io is a very user-friendly and well-structured loyalty platform that works seamlessly with Shopify. The onboarding process is simple, and it’s easy to launch a loyalty program without heavy development work. This was especially helpful for our team since we wanted something efficient but flexible.

One of the biggest strengths is how customizable the program is. We can easily set up points, rewards, referrals, and different earning actions that align with our brand and customer behavior. The flexibility allows us to test and adjust our strategy without disrupting the customer experience.

The dashboard is clean and organized, making it easy to monitor member activity, redemptions, and overall engagement at a glance. Even for non-technical users, the interface makes it simple to understand what’s working and where adjustments might be needed.

Another highlight is the customer support. The Smile team is responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive in explaining both technical and strategic questions. Their guidance helps us not only solve issues but also think more strategically about how to improve our loyalty program over time.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

It would be helpful if the platform provided clearer explanations or more detailed documentation around how certain metrics are calculated.

What do you like best about Smile.io?

Smile.io makes it incredibly easy for our customers to earn and redeem points, which has significantly improved engagement with our loyalty program.

We’ve seen tremendous growth in sales influenced by the program, and it’s clearly having a major impact on overall revenue. What do you like best about Smile.io?

I find that Smile.io is a very comprehensive tool for managing our loyalty program. The seamless integration with Shopify and Klaviyo has been a standout feature, allowing us to increase purchase recurrence and improve customer retention and lifetime value (LTV). Customers quickly understand how the program works, and the dashboard is very intuitive for our team. I also appreciate the flexibility it offers us to create a scalable program. Thanks to the native integrations with Shopify and Klaviyo, we can automate professional communications and workflows, with good designs and without friction, along with the good advice from the Smile.io team to set them up. What do you dislike about Smile.io?

For a long time, the Smile.io dashboard was not very intuitive for accessing and visualizing metrics, which made it difficult to analyze the performance of the loyalty program. Additionally, there is room for improvement in the referral program due to restrictions of Shopify plans. It would also be beneficial to expand the available actions for customers to earn points. "Effortless Loyalty Program Integration, Worth the Price for Small Businesses"
What do you like best about Smile.io?

I’ve been using Smile.io on my Shopify store every day and overall I’m really happy with it. Setup was super straightforward — it integrated with my Shopify store in a few minutes and I was able to launch a loyalty program without needing a developer. I really like the variety of rewards and earning options available in the app, so it’s easy to keep customers engaged and coming back. Another big plus for me is the integration with Shopify POS, which makes it perfect if you also sell in a physical store.

Smile helps us win back customers who haven't shopped with us recently by reminding them that they have points available to use. This feature has been invaluable for our business. We also appreciate the ability to set point expiry dates in Smile, which lets us create a sense of urgency for our customers. What do you like best about Smile.io?

Smile has excellent customer service, they're always on hand to deal with any problems or queries I've had with the app.

What do you dislike about Smile.io?

We don't feel that for the cost of the higher packages, we get much in return when compared to services we've used in the past. We inherited the system from the previous owner so have kept it going because of how many customers we have using it, after discussing our concerns we've dropped down our subscription that better suits our budget yet still has the excellent customer service and as we use it more we may see value in upgrading. Smile is an A+ for functionality and customer service. Always there to help and most importantly, the app seamlessly integrates into your site - with both design and functionality - which is extremely important when you want to match the aesthetic of your brand. What do you dislike about Smile.io?

There are a few more customizations I would like to see (for example points awarded to X number of orders as opposed to amount in order value - so you can properly award customers for ordering often. I would like to see this in tiers, as well. Customer orders 10 times and they get to a special tier, as an example.) I appreciate how simple and user-friendly Smile is. Setting up everything, from bonus campaigns to new earning opportunities, is always quick and straightforward. What do you like best about Smile.io?

We've been using smile.io for a few years now, and I really like how easy it is to plug in the app to my online store and POS for physical in-store purchases. Our return customers love earning and using their cash coupons towards future purchases, and I like how they can do that online with a coupon code and at an in-person event via our POS checkout.
