**What do you like best about Scout Talent Software?**

The support I receive from the team is always quick, responsive and detailed. I never have to worry about speaking the technical language as they are able to recognise my needs to ensure that the software is always running at my disposal.  More over,as a one man band in recruiting,  the AI software has become my partner and coworker in ensuring I am able to have the best Talent hired for my company. It is very detailed and can scrutinize my companies desired needs based on our company values and purpose.

**What do you dislike about Scout Talent Software?**

That it is not a full rounded software  that integrates to a fully encompasing HRIS system.

**What problems is Scout Talent Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed and efficiency of finding talent. I also appreciate the ease in posting jobs externally. And lastly and most importantly... the support I have from the SCOUT team.

**What do you like best about Scout Talent Software?**

love the auto statuses, makes weeding through applications great when there's so many. The support and care from the team is really great too.

**What do you dislike about Scout Talent Software?**

We use external interview tools. We interview with a panel via teams, and score, it can be tricky to collate all of that information - and then coming back and adding that to the candidates application manually. It'd be great to have an interview platform on Recruit for our panel members to fill out something like a Microsoft form, and have it automated.

We encourage candidates to not use AI so the new feature where felix assesses responses doesn't align for us. It was a little embarrassing for us to have an applicant email us about this when we didn't know about it. (I don't know if this was an email update. but a little pop-up bubble, explaining what it is on the page for the first time it was rolled out would have perfect. sort of like a guided tutorial point)
we'd like this to be automatically OFF, and something to opt into.

**What do you like best about Scout Talent Software?**

What I really like about Scout Talent Software is that it's quite simple and user-friendly, making it easy to get the information you require without it being overly complicated. I also kind of like the use of AI to determine whether a candidate is a good match, as it scans the entire CV and cover letter and gives you a TLDR for it. We find all of the forms really helpful too.

**What do you dislike about Scout Talent Software?**

For some candidates, it might be a little bit unclear as to what they need to upload in order for their profile to be seen clearly. In the past, we have missed out on good candidates just because they haven't uploaded everything that's been required.

I find Scout Talent Software streamlines our recruitment process by consolidating everything in one place, reducing time and costs. It's user-friendly and employs AI to efficiently match candidates, simplifying our efforts.

I find Scout Talent Software pretty intuitive, and I like the search features and the growing ways to screen candidates. These features make it easy to use the system, allowing me to spend less time on filtering and screening candidates. The initial setup was easy, which was a big plus.

The interview booking did not work well. It was unclear and didn't link well to Outlook, and time zones did not appear accurate.

How easy it is to use. As an administrator and having to train managers in its use, I find that I do not really need to explain things to the managers. They just go in and are able to use it on their own accord and exploring it themselves which really helps me and gives me back so much more time!

So far I have not found anything that I dislike about Scout. I still have  a lot to learn and trying to set it up so that the business and the hiring managers have a better understanding of what it has to offer.

Giving us the opportunity to use it in different ways such as posting posters and having one stop shop for everything where people can apply and the applications still go to one specific site where they are able to view candidate applications.

It's easy to use. I am technically challenged when it comes to using websites and systems but I find Scout really easy to use. You can separate all your applicants. to keep track easier ie successful / interview unsuccessful. It covers all your HR needs. advertising a role, collecting resumes, resignations. It's a one stop shop!

It's not a Scout issue but it gets overwhelming when over 100 people apply for the job!

Scout Talent is very easy and simple to use. I use it in my everyday and it fulfills my recruitment needs. I like that each candidate carries their own profile and notes can be utilized - which is important during the recruitment process.

I think the only downside to Scout is that they're unable to block candidates from outside of Canada. We receive many of these applications and unfortunately we do not sponsor workers outside of Canada.

Scout is able to identify if a candidate has applied multiple times and see previous applications. This is very beneficial as we are able to reference back at a candidates original application and it's able to help us on our recruitment process.

Scout Talent continues to evolve in a way that supports both recruiters and hiring managers across our organisation. The platform remains user-friendly once you're familiar with its features, and it enables strong collaboration by giving managers visibility and input throughout the recruitment process.

What stands out most is the responsive support team — whenever issues arise or assistance is needed, help is readily available. I’ve also noticed that Scout is actively developing its platform based on user feedback, which shows a clear commitment to improving functionality and enhancing the overall user experience. The regular updates and willingness to adapt make it a valuable tool for our recruitment needs.

**What do you dislike about Scout Talent Software?**

Scout Talent has noticeably evolved over the past year, with a stronger focus on user experience, platform enhancements, and support responsiveness. Compared to other recruitment systems, however, there are still opportunities to refine the end-to-end process to be even more streamlined.

One key area for improvement is automation and integration. Competing platforms often offer more seamless integrations with HRIS systems, onboarding tools, and data analytics dashboards, which reduce administrative burden and improve workflow efficiency. Enhancing automation (e.g. for candidate communications, interview scheduling, and reference checks) would bring Scout in line with some of the more advanced platforms on the market.

Additionally, providing more real-time analytics and customisable reports would support better decision-making and workforce planning, especially for larger organisations with complex recruitment needs.

Scout is on the right trajectory — continued investment in these areas would further strengthen its position as a market leader in recruitment technology.

**Recommendations to others considering Scout Talent Software:**

SCOUT is a user-friendly service. The program is intelligent, and the team behind the system is always willing to assist and educate you on the design and areas you may not be familiar with.

**What problems is Scout Talent Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have not yet had the full :Recruit system implemented. But the system that we have allows everyone accesses to their jobs and managing the time delays on our end with actioning the promptness of recruitment.

As our organisation is growing I am looking forward to having more control and liaising with SCOUT on an as needed basis. One of the key benefits I foresee is the ability to post a role when needed opposed to waiting for a quote and then approvals and then SCOUT drafting the advert and then awaiting approvals from our managers and then awaiting SCOUT to post it.

I love the ability to make templates. As a HR administrator for a centralised team, being able to create templates is a blessing, as we can make the HR approval process much quicker. Further, it's simpler for our managers to go through a checklist-like approval process, rather than emailing us

**What do you dislike about Scout Talent Software?**

People with non-admin access don't have an easy way of approving requests through scout. The email is long and unnecessary, and to our knowledge they cannot enter through scout directly and rely solely on the email. Not only is it easy to miss, but once they've approved it they cannot see any updates or changes as they cannot see it on scout.

Scout is helping us with the HR approval process for the full employee lifecycle as well as a platform for centralised job advertisements.

**What do you like best about Scout Talent Software?**

Scout is the program my organisation uses the most for our vacancy advertisements. It is an easy program to use and takes a lot of hard work out of advertsing for you. Steps are easy to follow, not a lot of prior knowledge is needed to use and it's prompting allows you to reach a wider group of candidates. 
Once your posting is listed and candidates begin to apply, quick summaries of candidate's application are provided, meaning you don't have to keep navigating in and out of a candidate's profile to know who they are and whether they'll be a good fit to the role.
Another great feature is how customisable Scout is, from your required questionnaire with applications, to mandatory attached evidence, to how the questions appear during the application.

**What do you dislike about Scout Talent Software?**

The program can be overloaded when posting lots of jobs at once, Scout often crashing and not loading as it should. 
There are also a lot of steps required for one simple job posting - when posting a large number of ads, this is incredibly time-consuming, often taking up to 30 minutes per ad to finalise the posting.

**What problems is Scout Talent Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scout makes it so all our job postings are in one platform, allowing our recruitment team and hiring managers to all see the same information in the same place. This makes the recruitment process much easier, especially when going through a large recruitment period.

I like how easy it is to use. It holds years of information which can be helpful for backtracking. I use scout every day in my position. Their customer support is also very helpful and they respond very quickly to me. 
I use almost all of the features Scout Hire has to offer. Updating status is easy to navigate. As well as external emails and sending emails to candidates. I great feature that was recently updated was notes on a profile and seeing all activity. This has been a great addition and is very useful to me.

No downside to Scout. I am very satisified with the application.

I believe Scout is in the process of updating their candidates and application page. The BETA that is available for users has given me an insight into what they are incorporating and it seems fascinating. Very slick and still continues to run smoothly.

I can jump in and out of it no problem

I would like an option for collaboration on the shortlisting. For example, i may go through and list a bunch as unseccessful but someone else from my panel may disagree but there isnt really a way to reflect this unless we are sitting together as we do the shortlisting. Also would be good to be able to add a comment to the applicants that you can see on the list view so you remember your thoughts on each one or the questions you have for each one from that list view.

organising our applicants so we can do a professional job and also so we can focus on getting the good hire rather than weeding through piles of applications. 
Positive recruitment experience is also reflected in staff retention.

I manage several programs including one that requires on-going recruitment.  The software keeps a record of all the job postings and applicants and allows the user to update their status and store all documents including their interview responses.  It was very easy to use and required just a qucik tutorial from our administrator to get started.

**What do you dislike about Scout Talent Software?**

Like most software programs, glitches occur.  At times some of the job postings assigned to me were not showing on my dashboard - this was, however, an easy fix.

ATS allowed our organization to track all job postings and their applicants.  Other users can now easily access the history and outcomes of all applicants regardless if it was one of their own postings.

The ability to view resumes without downloading them, assign tasks to other team members, track email opened/clicked statuses and sort candidates by suburbs from the main screen has made my life so much easier in just a few weeks! Picking Recruit Essentials as our ATS has been an absolute game changer

**What do you dislike about Scout Talent Software?**

Being unable to freely amend email templates and default application statuses in the essentials versions is a bit of a hassle and I find myself saving a lot of templates in Word to then paste in to send in bulk - it would be great if there was an add on just to add these certain parts of the full suite that would make life even easier.

Being able to direct all candidates to one application field from different advertising channels is making it a lot easier to manage candidates and ensure they are having a great experience with our business and are being communicated with efficently.
