One thing I dislike is that some advanced editing and measurement tasks can take extra steps, especially when working with detailed architectural and structural drawings. Sometimes, text or line formatting does not match the original sheet exactly, so I have to spend time adjusting it manually. I also find that large drawing sets can feel slower to navigate. Although I purchased a permanent license to PDFelement, it still prompts me to sign-in if I desire access to the more advanced features. In addition, the screen displays a notice in the upper-right-hand corner promoting an upgrade to the latest version and covers part of the Zoom control area. Although AI is offered as an optional feature, you receive a limited number of credits per month and after those credits are exhausted the feature will be grayed-out until the next month. Primarily, the primary issue addressed by PDFelement is eliminating the cycle of printing and scanning forms. In addition, this product eliminated my need to maintain three separate applications to accomplish three separate tasks (reading scanned documents, converting them to word format and compressing/merging the file sizes) as these functions are contained within one window. There are very few things to dislike about UPDF, I can't think of any really, but a small one would be the AI integration. I would personally like it to be an on/off switch, as well as opting in to use their cloud storage. With Cloud storage being a native option to devices, Mac (iCloud), iPhones (iCloud) Windows, Android etc etc- it seems unnecessary to have files one more place. Pricing really depends on how far you want to take your workflow. The Basic plan is enough for straightforward PDF editing. Plus adds reusable templates, fillable forms, and signature requests, while Premium makes the most sense when your team needs broader signing workflows, branding, and user administration. During onboarding, we used to receive documents in different formats, incomplete fields, missing signatures, and multiple versions of the same file floating around email. With Reusable Templates, fillable fields, and Magic Fields, we turned most of those static PDFs into forms we can prepare once and reuse for each new hire. LinkToFill lets employees complete the information directly, while Request eSignatures handles signer roles, sequence, reminders, and tracking. For acknowledgements, internal policies, and employment documents, that removed a lot of manual chasing. The Audit Trail also gives HR a clear record of who opened and signed each document and when. We sometimes use pdfFiller’s form library for common administrative paperwork such as W-4, W-9, or I-9 forms, but we still validate the document before putting it into an active HR process. One area where I'd like to see more progress is AI/Intelligence. Right now it feels like a straightforward quoting tool rather than something that's actively working for me, I'd love to see it start suggesting the right saved blocks or line items based on past quotes, flagging pricing anomalies, or even helping draft follow-up messaging to clients. Competitors are starting to lean into this, and it feels like it's an area where the tool is falling a bit behind the curve.

Integrations are the other gap for me. We rely heavily on HubSpot for our CRM and quote/deal tracking, and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams) for client communication, so having no native connection between the quoting tool and either of those means a lot of manual re-entry and duplicate admin. A two-way sync with HubSpot deals/contacts, and something like an Outlook or Teams add-in, would make it a genuinely joined-up part of our sales process rather than a standalone step. Qwilr is solving the problem of quotes being slow to build, inconsistent, and disconnected from the actual sales conversation. Before, putting together a quote across a range of products meant starting largely from scratch each time, which was time-consuming and left room for inconsistency between quotes. With saved blocks for each product, that's now standardised, I can pull together an accurate, on-brand quote in a fraction of the time.

It's also solved the problem of quotes being a one-way, static document that clients read (or don't) on their own. The presentation style and selectable line items mean I can get on a Teams call with a client and walk through the quote together, adjusting line items live and answering questions as they come up, rather than emailing something over and hoping it lands. That's made the sales process feel far more collaborative and has cut down on the back-and-forth of revised quotes going out afterwards.

The main benefit is time saved and a more professional, consistent client experience, though as I've mentioned, there's still room for it to do more, particularly around AI-driven suggestions and native integrations with tools like HubSpot and Microsoft 365, which would close the loop even further. I would like to have a wider choice of themes and, above all, more customization options. The Theme Studio is useful, but it would be interesting to be able to intervene more comprehensively on the appearance of the components, so as to adapt them more easily to the application's design without having to resort to too many CSS customizations. Essential Studio provides me with a series of components, even complex ones, that significantly speed up the development of Blazor and ASP.NET Core applications. The app can get a bit frustrating when the grocery store Wi-fi drops out while I'm am standing in an aisle during a live testing event, as it sometimes struggles to sync the signed form right away. If I can recommend the solution, they should build in a seamless offline mode that can securely caches signed agreements locally on the smartphone and automatically uploads them the second the tablet is reconnected back to the internet. As a product researcher for a supermarket chain, I run a lot of customer taste tests and focus groups for new food items. I used to rely on paper consent and feedback sign-off sheets, which regularly got lost, damaged, or stained with food samples during live in-store testing events. Acrobat Sign let me move everything to digital tablets, so shoppers can sign instantly.
