The interface can feel crowded, especially for someone who just needs to complete a simple task. Options for editing, converting, sending, signing, sharing, requesting information, and managing pages are all placed fairly close together, and the right action isn’t always obvious if you don’t already understand the workflow behind the document. A client needed to digitize an authorization form while preserving the exact layout already approved by the legal department. Previously, users had to download the file, fill it out manually, sign it, scan it, and email it back. We uploaded the document to pdfFiller and used Magic Fields to generate an initial set of fillable fields. From there, we manually corrected field roles and positioning, then added Conditional Fields so that additional information appeared only when users selected specific answers. We published the flow through LinkToFill, and our .NET service generated the link from the active request and stored the external document identifier on the corresponding internal record. After the document was completed, we updated the request status and archived the final copy in line with the client’s retention policy. During testing, we found a flaw in our conditional logic: a required value could disappear if the same answer was changed twice. Instead of piling on more conditions inside the PDF, we simplified the form logic and kept the final validation in the backend before accepting the document. Overall, pdfFiller let us preserve the legal format without building another document editor, eliminated the download-and-email loop, reduced incomplete submissions, and provided proper traceability. Some of the less frequently used tools are not immediately obvious, so I had to spend some time finding them. I also notice that larger PDFs can take a little longer to load or scroll through. A regular part of my work is reviewing technical documents from different sources. Earlier, I would use one application for viewing, another for editing, and separate tools when I needed to combine or extract pages. UPDF lets me handle most of these PDF tasks in one place.

Honestly, there’s nothing I dislike about Qwilr. It’s worked really well for me so far, and I’ve had a consistently positive experience using it.

The main thing I’d love to see improved is the ability to convert live documents to PDF without the formatting looking all over the place. Right now, because it doesn’t pick up the Google Maps link, it leaves a huge gap in the PDF. Qwilr is solving the problem of creating quotes quickly for my clients, which saves me a lot of time. It also gives better price breakdowns and lets my clients interact with their own quotes, increasing or decreasing the number of units or ticking and unticking items themselves. Prior to fynk, it was almost impossible for our team to monitor contracts approvals. Frequently we had to run people down for status or approval, causing hold-ups. It's operationally clunky, there's a lot of formula steps needed, and multiple places to look for the same thing. The api connectivity is limited and requires a separate playbook which doubles your implementation and maintenance overhead.

Whilst is has fully built versioning, there's no real diff tooling, and I would considerably prefer to have this handled in git so that you can use coding ai tools to build quickly and reliably rather than having to create everything via the UI.
