I use it daily while teAching English as a Foreign Language, so my meeting software works better. I like PDF as it is universal around the world: everyine has some software that allow them to read pdfs. It works better than any other low cost alternative. Since I do not make much teaching the price is also important. **What do you dislike about UPDF?** UPDF is a little slow starting, so I have to start it up before class time. **What problems is UPDF solving and how is that benefiting you?** It replaces expensiuve Adobe and does not have dozens of invasive things running in the background. It allows me to give my content to my students in a format that they can use. Most of them cAnnot afford to buy expenswive software. Neither can I on my tiny pension. But now that adobe acrobat has this feature as well, it's not as much of a selling point. It's cheaper than acrobat which is good too, but since it's significantly worse in most ways, that isn't really a selling point either. **What do you dislike about UPDF?** I was hoping to replace acrobat but I've many times reported issues which have not been addressed, such as the inability to upload signatures or copy elements from one pdf to another etc. So I'm a bit bummed about the lack of progress and rarely use it anymore. If things change for the better, I might return. As it stands, it's soower loading time, lack of a good signature function, inability to edit elements or copy most elements between documents and the fact that acrobat now has ai and ultimately does everything better, it's more worth the money. **What problems is UPDF solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solved the ability to ask my pdfs questions which still works fine. Adobe Pro is just too expensive for what it does. Soda works ok, but UPDF has more features and is easier to use. We do a lot of translating PDFs into Spanish and UPDF makes it easy to convert almost any type of document into a Word or Excel file. Also the fact that you can scan paper which gets converted to AI readble version is very powerfull. **What do you dislike about UPDF?** The OCR function does only work best if the scan is good. To work with apple pencil is, for now, not that comfortable. Also, at least on Windows when using it in a tile, I can't shrink make it narrower than about half screen which is annoying. One of the main reasons I looked at UPDF was the option to "own" the software by paying a one-time perpetual-membership fee, I've gotten sick of all software becoming subscription based and wanted something I can pay for once and own for a lifetime. The UI is very modern and minimalist, and the software lets you do all the basics with some added features such as AI and Cloud Sync. It also allows multiple devices to run on the same singular license; this makes it clear that your experience is a priority and not just monetary gains. **What do you dislike about UPDF?** UPDF's biggest downside for me as a Windows/Android user is that it feels very "Mac/IOS First". Some features such as dark-mode; which I consider a necissity and a basic feature in 2023 is lacking on the windows and android clients for UPDF. There are occasional performance issues, specifically when using and initiaiting the AI features. Speaking of AI, the AI feature-set for perpetual users is very limited (limited to a max set of prompts) and requires a purchase of an added monthly subscription for AI. While I fully support the fact AI should be a subscription, Perpetual users specifically should get a monthly limit that resets every month and not a "lifetime" limit of prompts, something like 30 prompts per month for perpetual users that resets every 1st.
