It's great that I can work in one window and see things update automatically within the platform. I also appreciate how the integration with Google lets me drop dynamic fields that adjust based on the content size, solving the problem of inserting dynamic content into PDFs without messing up the formatting. This feature is a significant benefit since it allows me to avoid the hassle of dealing with static PDFs where I would have to leave space for names of various lengths. **What do you dislike about Portant?** I'm a bit unimpressed that Portant didn't have built-in functionality for contracts requiring witnesses, which is something that's necessary for my UK-based company. Though I did find a workaround with someone's help, a direct feature would be appreciated. I also found there was a learning curve in getting started with Portant. Initially, it seemed complicated, and I left to look for other platforms before eventually returning because of its high reviews and unique features. The simplicity of the user interface. Most importantly, the exceptional customer service. I had some challenges during the initial implementation of Portant with our instance of HubSpot, as we use mostly custom objects. Their team was exceptional at helping me, and particularly persistent. James, their CEO, put in several hours - even with the time difference between Australia and the US -- helping me get everything in working order. They have, without fail, resolved all of the issues that came up. We have Portant fully deployed on our Enterprise HubSpot Account, and we are using it to produce upwards of 50-100 legal documents a day. **What do you dislike about Portant?** Really not much at all the complain about, maybe the slowness in initially accessing the files. **What problems is Portant solving and how is that benefiting you?** HubSpot has a limited option for producing documents, with fields/properties from the objects that reside within its system. Users are limited to "Quotes" which are not very flexible. Portant was the perfect solution to the issue of document creation that was both formulaic and flexible. Portant's service combines Google Docs with HubSpot data to facilitate the creation of every legal document we need created within our business. About 80% of our HubSpot account is customized. Portant supports all custom objects. And because it uses Google Docs as the template, we have all the flexibility and control we need within those templates. Additionally, the price for all of this is very very reasonable! This has solved a big issue we had with HubSpot. ### 4. James the founder reached out directly shortly after registration and offered to help set things up personally. Setting up my workflows has been intuitive and Mizo, the support agent has been responsive and offered strategic solutions for any challenges I've encountered. **What do you dislike about Portant?** I have not encountered any downsides to the platform yet. When I came a cross what I thought was a limitation, Mizo was quick to get be back on track and accomplish what I was looking for. **What problems is Portant solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to pass along a new client summary report to various departments as we onboard new clients. Previously we were copying and pasting notes from different applications into a google doc and sending it to the appropriate parties. Now we input all necessary information into Hubspot, click AUTOMATE, and Portant creates the report and sends to all parties. Saves a TON of back and forth. ### 10. It took some time to get all the access rights in order, also for people without Gmail address. But you can create a Google account with a non-gmail address, so that's all good. **What problems is Portant solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're a small webmagazine from the Jesuits in the Netherlands and publish three articles a week on igniswebmagazine.nl. Before we emailed our articles to each other and ended up with multiple versions and comments all over the place. Now we submit articles through Google Forms. Portant puts it automatically in a Google Docs and sends everybody an email with a link to the doc. Everybody responds and sees each others comments in the doc and I can use that to make a final version of the article. I also like the support team. We have only used the Survey Forms attached to a Word document. It has saved us time in proofreading our documents. We are still fine-tuning our end of the program. Before, we spent about 10-15 minutes on each customer proposal and contract. It was pretty time-consuming, especially when we had 50-70 of them each month. Now, thanks to Portant, the same task takes just 2-3 minutes! We're even handling more documents, around 80-100 a month, and it's a breeze. It's amazing how much time we've saved and how much more we can do now. Portant really helped us streamline our work and focus on growing our business! Most important of all is the customer support, before we were a full fledged paying client they were willing to hop on calls to help us figure out how to set up Portant to use. **What do you dislike about Portant?** I haven't found much that I have disliked about Portant. I will say that it took me a little bit to wrap my head around how we needed to make it work for us, but after that its been amazing and so easy to learn new things through their Guides **What problems is Portant solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a SaaS based business and send out custom proposals and custom contracts for them to see what services they are getting and to sign it. It used to take me 10-15 minutes to go in and customize each one to give to the sales team, but now all they do is fill out a Google Form and everything is populated into the document and sent to me to review taking 2-3 minutes tops. It doesn't seem like a lot of time, but it allows me to put my focus on more important things while trusting something to build out the documents needed to keep the sales engine running. ### 19. I liked that I could set up a face-to-face, online meeting with a support person. I was brand new to the software and through the meeting, I was able to explain my project and what I was attempting to do. The support team worked with me to help me resolve the project challenges I faced. They did not give up on me even though I needed numerous conversations. I also appreciate how streamlined the merge option is, allowing multiple spreadsheet rows of data to print on one page, including a photo for each contact. I can easily edit the spreadsheet right in the workflow, when needed. And then easily refresh the merge and generate a new merged doc. **What do you dislike about Portant?** It would be helpful to have a personal pricing option for family photo merge projects. Portant allowed our small business to organize and streamline our invoices. We didn't need the capabilities of bigger programs, we just needed an easy way to track and process our invoices. Portant allowed us to keep a spreadsheet of our invoice info and drop in the information into our personal invoice template and personalize the info for each invoice. It took a minute to figure out all the capabilities of Portant, but they have lots of how to videos and even offered support via email when I couldn't get one of my tables to work properly. I cannot say enough wonderful things! We don't process more than 10 invoices a month so having the ability to process 100 invoices each month for free means I don't need to stress if I need to reprocess an invoice due to a mistake or update. I would absolutely recommend this program to other small businesses! **What do you dislike about Portant?** There is some set up time at the beginning and a learning curve to getting your information to populate properly, but once it's set it is done and doesn't need any upkeep! **What problems is Portant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows us to create and track our invoices with ease. Now all I do is put in there details in 1 google sheet. And then ensure that the Sync is active and Portant handles the pdf creation and attachment to emails. It has saved hours each time I run this workflow. It was relatively easy to implement - as it was just as an addon to the Google Docs and Google Sheets. So very easy to integrate into my workflow. I use this monthly - and each time saves around 1 or so hour (and more importantly mistakes). Only used CS email once and they were quick to resolve any queries I had **What do you dislike about Portant?** Sometimes the userflow is counter intuitive. By that I mean that I had to write manually a list of instructions and checks to do each time I process the payroll. As an example - sometimes when you choose something, and then you select something later. It deselects the latest one you chose and unless you check it could be sending out an old workflow from an old tab that you used already. Its an annoyance - and documentation doesn't cover this - but once I worked this out I just worked around it. **What problems is Portant solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously I had a Google sheet of payroll information. That needs to be generated into remittance advice (pdf) and then emailed to individuals. To do so manually meant that I used to hire a VA who took around 2-3 hours each time for a list of 50 or so payments. With this workflow - I am able to send the emails immediately as soon as I check over the Google sheet with the contributor information on it all. This saves around 2 hours each time I run the workflow. And since workflows can be saved (including locations) - it means that the workflows are reusable and do not need to be set up each time I run it (as variables are pre-set). ### 30.
