I find incorporating attachments into ModMed cumbersome, and embedding them directly into the chart for consultants is not as seamless as I would like. The lack of a hyperlink feature within the body of notes to link directly to corresponding photos or written impressions adds unnecessary complexity to workflow. I also feel that the area reserved for important patient details like allergies, blood thinner use, and other critical information is not prominently displayed, which could improve through a more visible interface. The absence of color-coding for different types of visits also reduces the clarity in the schedule and could enhance organization. Searching for other HISP direct mail users and their addresses isn't as intuitive as expected. It would be beneficial if ModMed could support dot phrases similar to those in Epic, allowing for more efficient shorthand note-taking. The limited functionality of native phrases in EMA, and the inability to copy or utilize phrases from others, further restricts efficiency. Lastly, the transition to using ModMed was made difficult by the lack of adequate time with experts. There’s nothing that I strongly dislike about EHR your way. The biggest challenge with ClinicMind is how complex the system can be, especially when it comes to modifying or changing notes. If you don’t already know where to go in the back end, it can take some time to navigate and figure out the correct steps.

That being said, the support team does an exceptional job of bridging that gap. I can always submit a task request, and they consistently go above and beyond — offering calls, video calls, screenshots, and even recorded walkthroughs that show exactly how to make changes. A quick shout-out to people like Aziz, who has been incredibly patient and helpful throughout this process. His guidance makes the learning curve so much easier to manage.

Billing & Hours = More Headaches

While Opus has made some processes smoother, billing therapists and tracking hours has actually gotten trickier. What used to be simple now takes a bit more clicking, guessing, and double-checking.

Calendar Learning Curve

The online calendar has a unique style—which is a nice way of saying it took a minute (or several) to get the hang of. Once we adjusted, it was manageable, but the transition wasn’t exactly intuitive.

Insurance & Billing Setup Woes

Unfortunately, the initial setup by the Opus team missed the mark. Insurance and billing info was entered incorrectly, which meant we had to go in and manually fix client details ourselves—not exactly the time-saver we were hoping for.

Opus is helping streamline a lot of the daily admin tasks that used to eat up time and energy. Things like and using the chat feature are now way more efficient and accessible. It’s basically taken some of the chaos out of managing client logistics and made everything feel a little more organized and centralized—which means we can spend more time actually supporting clients and less time wrestling with scheduling or paperwork. A point of attention remains the cost and credit structure. Some functions that feel basic require credits or fall outside the standard package. Therefore, it is important to carefully review in advance what credits are needed for and how they are used, to avoid unexpected costs.

Employees must often work through a checklist when setting up. This sometimes feels a bit forced, but it does ensure that you get the most out of the system.

Weave DEFINITELY helps to prevent fires before they start. It has been so useful when a colleague is OOO and one of their clients is attempting to contact them. Another coworker can respond immediately and make sure that the client is satisfied. Our client satisfaction is amazing and we owe a lot of it to the WEAVE platform. In a shared environment, the schedule and calendar can become overwhelming. It occasionally freezes during peak hours and gives a notification of internet not being connected when it is. I find Fusion by Ensora Health simplifies scheduling with easy check-in and tracking changes. The drag and move feature makes adjusting appointments effortless, and it's easy to change therapists and manage series. ECP could improve the bowel monitoring process. There is not really anything in place currently to be able to quickly see who has not had a BM in x amount of days. This would be a huge benfit to our staff and residents. Additionally a "911 quick print" button would be very helpful for emergency situations.
