I find incorporating attachments into ModMed cumbersome, and embedding them directly into the chart for consultants is not as seamless as I would like. The lack of a hyperlink feature within the body of notes to link directly to corresponding photos or written impressions adds unnecessary complexity to workflow. I also feel that the area reserved for important patient details like allergies, blood thinner use, and other critical information is not prominently displayed, which could improve through a more visible interface. The absence of color-coding for different types of visits also reduces the clarity in the schedule and could enhance organization. Searching for other HISP direct mail users and their addresses isn't as intuitive as expected. It would be beneficial if ModMed could support dot phrases similar to those in Epic, allowing for more efficient shorthand note-taking. The limited functionality of native phrases in EMA, and the inability to copy or utilize phrases from others, further restricts efficiency. Lastly, the transition to using ModMed was made difficult by the lack of adequate time with experts. As with all EHRs, there are limitations - though I will say that the team is always seeking opportunities to further develop and improve systems and functions - and they also solicit feedback from users to better understand customer needs, etc. Clients have reported varied feedback about the client portal, but it is difficult to determine if that is user error, access issues (such as inconsistent internet access) or truly feedback that belongs with the EHR itself. Our primary focus at this time is working to streamline our workflows (clinical flow, reporting, etc) to improve clinician and client experience as well as to improve our data collection practices. It solves the problem of having disconnected systems and manual processes. Everything is centralised, which reduces errors and saves time. The lack of customer support.

I am often gaslighted by the support team who drag their feet to get anything done, and are more worried about pink banners and name changes than fixing basic functionality.

All I can imagine is the owner spends his time patting people on the back for dramatic statements of flair within the software, whilst annoying customers with taking forever to get anything done.

If only they'd operate ethically - putting the prices up without notifying their ustomers then blaming the customer for turning off their ridiculous 3 million emails a week two years prior for not receiving the email update and thus not being aware.

This is after being told they don't send important notices via email, they will come via the Facebook group or the software.

The support and 'customer service' in this software is rubbish.

Not being able to route a flex note to a provider and have them respond by routing back to you. Also, it would be nice to have certain nursing assessments built into ClinicMind, like a DISCUS exam. Not being able to have more than one patient's chart open at the same time. It will cut down the time and the number of clicks if a flex note/nursing documentation can be routed to a provider and have the provider respond and route back to the nurse. Built-in nursing assessments make it easy and seamless and timely. Right now, these assessments are done on paper and then scanned into the patient's chart, sometimes not the same day. One downside of Spry is the occasional system glitches. While they aren’t frequent, they can be frustrating when they occur—particularly when the HEP program doesn’t sync with the note as expected, requiring extra time to correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Spry is solving several key challenges we faced with previous EMR systems, particularly inefficiency, poor usability, and lack of meaningful support. What could be better:

Billing & Hours = More Headaches

While Opus has made some processes smoother, billing therapists and tracking hours has actually gotten trickier. What used to be simple now takes a bit more clicking, guessing, and double-checking.

Calendar Learning Curve

The online calendar has a unique style—which is a nice way of saying it took a minute (or several) to get the hang of. Once we adjusted, it was manageable, but the transition wasn’t exactly intuitive.

Insurance & Billing Setup Woes

Unfortunately, the initial setup by the Opus team missed the mark. Insurance and billing info was entered incorrectly, which meant we had to go in and manually fix client details ourselves—not exactly the time-saver we were hoping for.

Opus is helping streamline a lot of the daily admin tasks that used to eat up time and energy. Things like and using the chat feature are now way more efficient and accessible. It’s basically taken some of the chaos out of managing client logistics and made everything feel a little more organized and centralized—which means we can spend more time actually supporting clients and less time wrestling with scheduling or paperwork. It has everything in one place, so I can schedule appointments, offer packages, and provide self-paced programs for my patients. VOIP phone service with user configurable auto attendant and phone trees. These allow us to customize the caller experience and to organize incoming calls.

Weave has business text, providing an alternate way for patients to contact our staff, which is convenient and especially useful when our phones are busy.

In a shared environment, the schedule and calendar can become overwhelming. It occasionally freezes during peak hours and gives a notification of internet not being connected when it is. I find Fusion by Ensora Health simplifies scheduling with easy check-in and tracking changes. The drag and move feature makes adjusting appointments effortless, and it's easy to change therapists and manage series. As a school, we have a number of forms that need to be collected over the course of the year. They have the flexibility to have both electronic signatures and upload of signed forms within the same space. Our families appreciate that data gets rolled over from year to year and doesn't have to be completed, but just renewed. While NexHealth has been very helpful overall, there are a few areas that could be improved. At times, data exports and reporting can feel limited, especially when trying to access detailed responses from forms. Additionally, certain features may require more customization to better fit specific workflows.

ECP could improve the bowel monitoring process. There is not really anything in place currently to be able to quickly see who has not had a BM in x amount of days. This would be a huge benfit to our staff and residents. Additionally a "911 quick print" button would be very helpful for emergency situations.
