I love how easy it is to customise. I've been using KIPU for almost 8-9 years now. I love using it. I started using KIPU while living in Florida as an art facilitator, adding notes for clients in my group. This was back in 2017. So I've been using it consistently since then, at multiple facilities. I am not sure about the pricing but I know they are competitive in the market which is great. Their support team is amazing, they always get back to you fast! It seems there are glitches sometimes. And sometimes they update the interface without prior knowledge, but the great thing about KIPU is you can decide if you want to keep what they change. I love that Kipu is simple and to the point. It’s easy to know where to find forms, and you can set up your KIPU instance exactly the way you want. I also like that you can create new forms as needed, or adjust existing ones so they better fit your role or your company’s needs. Kipu is easy to use and widely used in the recovery field which really makes it easy when switching employers. Being familiar with Kipu makes it easy to focus on other aspects of learning a new workplace or position. Kipu is very strait forward and easy to navigate. I really like that I can walk away or complete other tasks within Kipu and easily get back to where i was without other progress being lost despite not having intentionally saved the data. I dont like the Dailey reminder for some conference or something. It appears every day when I sign in and it only allows me to choose "remind me tomorrow" and really I want it to stop trying to remind me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Kipu on everyday basis to create profile for clients, submit medical notes, therapy notes, and run reports. Review census and many more tasks including billing. I like that all forms are organized under appropriate tabs, it makes getting around my workload very convenient, leaving more time for more work! Even when finding a new sheet to populate, I can guess which tab it's under just based on its category. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only part I dislike about kipu is I will occasionally be logged out in the middle of completing a note, but that typically only happens if I leave a tab open for some time while my computer is on sleep mode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like having the entire client chart in one place, along with progress notes and other documentation. It makes it easy to quickly see what’s going on with a client and to write case-management notes faster. I feel that KIPU is the most user-friendly EMR I’ve worked with over the past two years. It’s easy to understand, and it’s simple to find and retrieve information when I need it. I like how simple Kipu’s forms are to create and use. I can use the built-in forms, make our own, or modify existing ones easily to fit our facility’s needs and patient care, including care for patients in drug and alcohol detox and documentation required by our policies or insurance payers. The forms help show the assessments and treatment we provide with clear expectations and data, and they simplify nursing needs. I also find computer charting, the electronic MAR, and medication and nursing documentation helpful because they save time, improve accuracy, and help keep assessments and information from being missed. I do not like the doctor’s orders in Kipu. They feel archaic and don’t flow well. I can’t see a patient’s medication history from a previous record without going into each individual chart, and if I accidentally discontinue a medication, I have to reorder everything. I’d like to see medication history within the doctor’s orders, have the newest medication listed at the top, and be able to click into a medication to see dose changes without searching through each order. I find Kipu very user-friendly, which is a big plus. The flexibility in creating our own forms and making necessary adjustments to fit our agency's needs is really valuable.
