I was never a fan of using Web Applications if a Desktop version is available and I really hate that if someone else shares you a file to present but not to edit or save you can only open it on the browser. I'm already good at presenting PowerPoint but using a browser isn't the same. I have my shortcuts and my air mouse configured for PowerPoint and being forced to use the web version is just plain annoying, Microsoft please do a view-only mode at the Desktop version, every time I need to present from the web version my stress levels go thru the roof. I really enjoy using Breeze. When contributions are made on line using banking, credit card or text, the information is posted to the appropriate family account which is really nice. This way all I have to do is pull a report and post the total amount into QuickBooks. I have easy access also to membership, addresses, phone numbers and can run labels for the membership which is also great. I hope some day the quarterly and end of the year statement will be available to download into pdf form, although their template they have set up was easy to implement my logo into and I can change wording to some extent. Some of the changes, however, I would need to have more IT experience in order to space columns which if I could download info into pdf and then WORD would allow me more control. When we need to keep up with what membership has pledged, Breeze has a great set up and all I have to do is enter the first pledge amount and it maintains each contribution and deducts so when someone asks how much of their pledge is outstanding, like at the end of this year is happening, then the information is right at my fingertips. When I needed membership labels it is easy to run. On line giving, also works great to apply their giving, as noted above and has a great set up for notifying me if the way someone's name on their contribution does not match the name in Breeze, I get a notice of an unassociated contributor and I can quickly associate them with their account. Presenting in Keynote is far superior, editing not so much, font missing is a way too common experience and the simplicity can be a limitation, everything that can be done in PowerPoint can be done in Keynote, but it takes longer since the amount of tools on screen is limited, great to avoid clutter and for presenting, but the tradeoff is editing speed.
