This software is very user-friendly. If you know anything about navigating a database, you can probably figure it out without any training, but they also offer a wide selection of video tutorials and documents to help, plus a fairly quick email response channel. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Calendar?** Their reporting system could use a little upgrade. It does an amazing job of reporting on any custom or installed field, but adjusting the feilds and layout would be most helpful. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Calendar:** If you don't need to do in-depth reporting, this is a great product to consider. Their whole suite of modules are very helpful. **What problems is Planning Center Calendar solving and how is that benefiting you?** We schedule all our facilities, and all staff can see it and know what is happening. It also organizes resources (tables, chairs, coffee makers, whatever you put in), which helps us to not overbook at conferences or school events. The log in is confusing...it’s easy to create multiple accounts that doesn’t capture all the users data over time. **What problems is Planning Center Calendar solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helps keep track of member information and pulling lists is 10 times easier with planning center. I don’t like that the generated list has to be sent to an email. It should download straight to your computer instantaneously. ### 7. We love the approval system that is built into Calendar for the request thing of different rooms and resources. This allows us to select different staff members and approval groups per event. This is helped us to get along farther faster with less email clutter. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Calendar?** Setting up planning center calendar in the resources that you will need will take some time. I think that was our largest hurdle and why it took us so long to implement it. I love that every member of my team can add their own events to the calendar and wait for approval. It doesn't stop with one person always having to be asked "What's available on the calendar?" Everyone in the organization has access to the calendar and can see what we have coming up. It's incredible and SO user friendly! **What do you dislike about Planning Center Calendar?** I dislike that you can't see the resources you need for each room - the details - one the front screen. You have to click thru three or four difference screens just to see all the notes people leave. But, that is a very small con to an infinite amount of pros!! **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Calendar:** I would 100% recommend PC Resources! So far, it has much more pros for our organization than other software like Microsoft calendars and such. It's much more user friendly, especially when you have in-house and out-house staff members. **What problems is Planning Center Calendar solving and how is that benefiting you?** PC Resources is solving SO many problems! We can now solve so many conflicts in our organization with different building usage conflicts. Now, everyone knows what is happening when and in what building, so there is no longer multiple people fighting for the same building/room. A HUGE benefit is that this calendar can be downloaded to your computer or phone and be readily available! Also, there is an app where you can add your own events and you don't have do it thru a computer or website. Everyone is so happy with this system and its use in our organization. ### 11. Also, the Planning Center customer service is amazing! **What do you dislike about Planning Center Calendar?** I wish there was an easy way to duplicate an event. I do often have events that are not able to be categorized in the current structure of recurring events but would love to be able to just make a copy of the original event and edit it for the subsequent occurrences. Also, I’d like to add in events for the year, but they’re all on different days (not always the first Sunday of every month). Wish there was a way to click on the dates that I need on the calendar instead of having to manually do each day, which takes a lot of time! Basically, I want to know if there is an option to choose all my dates at once for the whole year since events will always be in the same room and at the same time? **What problems is Planning Center Calendar solving and how is that benefiting you?** The customer service is great and have utilized it a lot. They get back to you right away! The problems I'm solving are mostly because I'm asking lots of questions and they're getting answered right away! ### 14. It's clean and modern. It's also well organized. There are a lot of "pieces" to it, but once you get used to it, it is awesome! I also like that we can enter all of our resources including tech equipment, decorating supplies, computer equipment and even vehicles. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Calendar?** There are moments when I try to use the mini calendar on the left panel and it doesn't work. It appears to be a software glitch. Once I refresh the page or re-open it, it works for me. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Calendar:** Don't be overwhelmed but it, get used to it and then see if it meets your needs. **What problems is Planning Center Calendar solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to Resources, we used an antiquated room reservation program. Resources has much more functionality. Running a 30-room facility with 100 staff trying to reserve space 7 days a week can be a nightmare, but Resources keeps us straight. It also allows our room "owners" to virtually approve room requests instead of talking face to face with people or trying to approve via email. ### 15. I can log in, go to the date that I am interested in and see which resources (rooms, media, fleet vehicles, etc) are already reserved for that date. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Calendar?** Sometimes it seems like the process for making a reservation is repetitive. You have to enter the same information on multiple screens. I'm not sure if this is a process set up by our office administrators, or if this is a planning center requirement. It isn't a huge deal , but it does seem repetitive to have to enter the request name and date multiple times. Again, I'm not involved with the "back-end" so there may be legitimate reasons behind it. **Recommendations to others considering Planning Center Calendar:** I would definitely recommend checking our planning center resources if you are in need of organizing and structuring the usage of your groups resources. **What problems is Planning Center Calendar solving and how is that benefiting you?** It definitely streamlined the process of making reservations for resources for our organization. Much fewer steps to take and hoops to jump through. All involved parties receive confirmation emails once a request is made, and it makes it easy to accept/approve/confirm use for resources. We used to have to present paper requests to many different individuals for different areas of our organization. With this program, all the resources are listed and we just submit our request through planning center, and whichever resource we select, the request automatically goes to that supervisor. ### 16. A perfect way to keep you and your team organized. Plus, bonus if you are a part of a church or ministry organization, because of the ability to register different members and groups and schedule times for different purposes. **What do you dislike about Planning Center Calendar?** There are a couple glitches here and there with Planning Center such as randomly logging me out and whatnot. But that's really it! They are always receptive to the ideas and opinions of their users. **What problems is Planning Center Calendar solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are managing a large facility with over 20 classrooms and several hundred classroom resources. Resources allows us to do this in an efficient manner. We are able to support our staff and their ministries by working together through this web-based platform. As an administrator I'm able to approve, deny, comment and maneuver various steps in this process. We also had a very hard time keeping track of items used by various ministries within our church.
