**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

It provides accurate scheduling. You can modify and create the schedules to your liking which is great. We have added several icons to account for several situations and also utilize the notes area quite a bit.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

I would say that if you go to your specific schedule the view is different and not like other staff members. I also wish that it would generate a report weekly of late clock ins or out and a few other items that would be useful.

Comparison of shifts against Kronos system. It is a good system that helps with timecards.

That I can automatically link my schedule to my calendar app and I don’t have to manually type in my shifts anymore

Not as easy to put time changes in , and if Theres a special code(like indirect time) it’s not very obvious

Mistakes in manually typing in my shifts— I’ve messed up before trying to look at each day and type it in my calendar app correctly

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

Being able to look in ShiftWizard to see how much staff you have for the day. Also, the easy of scheduling more than 1 day at a time.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

The upgraded ShiftWizard took the unfilled shifts and put on a different page. Which I hate, on the old version it was at the bottom of the month in which you were putting the schedule in for, all you had to do was scroll down and look at it. Now you have to go to a different page to see what has not been filled

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well, you have everyone's phone number at your fingertips. If you enter the reason someone calls out then you have that info available. I use it a lot when I'm doing payroll because I put the icons for call, charge tech, floating to a different time code and showing who is responsible for certain areas in the afternoon and evening hours. Messages in ShiftWizard is great because you can send multiple messages to techs at all 3 of our locations.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

I have used a few different applications for different Companies I have worked for . shift Wizard is by far the one I like the most. It's very easy to navigate,it also has everything I need to check my upcoming shifts, swap shifts, see who I am working with that shift I can even see how many hours I have worked not only that day and week but also that pay period. Their even extra things you can do on their like contract your manager or communicate with HR . Shift wizard is great I'm happy my company uses it .

At this time there is nothing I do t like about the application

I was in aware of any problems. If they are updating things that would explain why it's such an easy to use application  despite how much it offers:-)

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

Shift wizard makes it easy to manage my schedule. It also allows for easy communication between team members and leadership having the ability to make/request my own schedule is a great advantage. The ability to swap or give shifts away either to another person or she requested in general allows for a timely change.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

The only downside to shift wizard that I can point out is with the mobile app only.
I wish that you could see the department schedule when you click on the day of. You can see this from the desktop website, but not in the mobile app. For clarification, you can see the next days department schedule when you click on it from the calendar inside of the mobile app.

Another feature, I wish the mobile app had however I understand that it may be difficult to accomplish, on the desktop site you can see the department schedule for a length of time that you choose such as four weeks, two months, etc. the mobile app does not have this option.

I personally have not had any issues with shift wizard that needed company assistance.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

Shiftwizard is a very useful tool to keep up with your work schedule and hours. One of the upsides, is you can send and receive messages from your supervisor anytime you need to change your work schedule! Notifications are very clear and easy to see. I use this tool daily when I am at work. I have never had to contact customer support, because I have never had any issues with the site. I keep it in the background on my computer, so that I can assess it quickly and implement it's awesome features!  It works well with all my other programs!

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

I cannot think of any downside to Shiftwizard. I performs exactly as expected and meets all standards of practice.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shiftwizard is helping me keep up with my scheduled  work days and off days. It makes it easy to request for PTO vacation hours when needed. It is very easy to access and log into.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

I do like having the template available and not having to do everyone's schedule every for weeks.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

I dislike the part of not being able to adjust an individuals hours once in the system. When changing their hours at the beginning or end the system creates a new M shift instead of just adding the hours to their original schedule for that day. 
I have access to do most of everything in the system and am the main user for the department, but i can not make a shift. I constantly have to go the director or assistant director for them to add a shift and then have to walk them through how to do it even though i am not the one with master access.

There needs to be a way to pull a month calendar from shiftwizard per a certain position within the department and just not the individual calendar for myself.

I have not submitted any problems

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

I love how I can open up the ShiftWizard app and be in control of my schedule fast and easy, rather than scrambling through paper and grabbing the wrong one or being able to not read it properly due to low ink issues from the printer, SHIFTWIZARD allows me to have confidence in my schedule and others I work with. If I need to switch my shift with someone else SHIFTWIZARD allows me to do so in a fast and east way. Thank you SHIFTWIZARD.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

I would say that sometimes the app struggles to update if my schedule is out and the app is running into some issues my schedule will not update. At times I find that I have to close and reopen the app a few times to get it to update.

When I don't have access to the hard copy of the schedule (paper). I can rely on shifwizard to gain any information I have about my schedule or others I work with in a fast easy step as clicking the app and opening it up on my phone.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

ShiftWizard Review

I have been using ShiftWizard for some time now to manage staff scheduling, and overall, it's been a positive experience. The platform has significantly improved how we coordinate shifts, reducing the time spent on manual scheduling and last-minute changes. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive, which made onboarding fairly straightforward for our team.

One of the standout features is the ability to see coverage gaps in real time, which helps us respond quickly and avoid understaffing. The communication tools are also helpful, making it easy for staff to swap shifts or request time off without having to go through multiple channels.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

There are a few areas that could be improved—for instance, reporting options could be a bit more customizable, and we’ve encountered occasional delays in syncing with payroll systems. However, customer support has been responsive and helpful when these issues arise.

Overall, ShiftWizard has streamlined our scheduling process and made staff management more efficient. I’d recommend it to any healthcare or service organization looking for a reliable scheduling solution.

Manual Scheduling Inefficiencies:

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

Staff likes the ease of viewing their schedule including updates that occur mid-schedule. They can check their schedule any time and conduct shift swaps or reach out to their coworkers easily. 

From a manager side, creating the schedule is fairly streamlined and its easy to update.

Use of shiftwizard has removed barriers for staff communication, which is a great feature for a mid-size unit like ours.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

There is some duplication of information in unnecessary areas or some of the search functions can be clunky at times. 

the integration with our time clock program isn't complete which the duplicates information. 

Training for non-tech managers can be difficult as the steps are not always intuitive.

Biggest drawback is the inability to create specfic staff assignments for different roles.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to the schedule has greatly increased as welll as staff ability to pre-plan. Reduces need for a person to be involved in providing schedules to employees. Allows distribution of the schedule at an easier, wider scale.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

Overall ShiftWizard has significantly help improve our scheduling efficiency and transparency. The platform is user friendly and staff appreciate the ability to view and manage their schedules in real time. The shift request and swap features have helped streamline communication, reduce scheduling errors and promote accountability across teams. Weve also seen a increase in proactive scheduling behavior, as employees now have more control. Customer support has been great in assisting our team with creating new icons.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

Our company has multiple departments and multiple locations and it would be helpful if we were able to filter punch times by facility and department. Currently we are unable to do this and it would drastically help our productivity if we could. Also, a notification sound when we have a new message would be beneficial.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is currently solving staffing issues; staff are able to sign up for their own shifts and have accountability with compliance. We are also able to quickly run reports and track overtime.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

The user interface is clear, easy to see, and usable even for staff who have color blindness like myself.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

It does not communicate well with the Workday system. The schedules are not able to pull into Workday effectively and clocked hours are not reflected in either system. This combined with the lack of ability to produce efficient reports to identify staff who are tardy or staff who have accrued unexcused absences makes it hard to be a manager in a healthcare setting.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a way for staff to quickly see their assigned schedules and my understanding is that this is the software available for us. It does that, but is not always updated. Our central staffing office reports that it is hard to update master schedules for employees which makes it not always the most reliable source for schedule information and can be rather confusing to employees.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

I think the most helpful thing about shift wizard is how you can see all available shifts on different floors while picking up overtime, as well as being able to swap, or give shift to others and being able to see shift available to pick up that someone has given away. I think it’s efficient and less time consuming this way.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

What I dislike about shift wizard is how your not able to see available shifts from all floors on one calendar you have to swap through so it does take more time to pick up overtime shifts because you have to swap through different floors to see what’s available.

ShiftWizard is benefitting to me because I can see all my shifts on one calendar as well as being able to swap a shift without going through our administrator which takes more time to do so.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

I like that SW is easily accessible from multiple places for all staff. I like the icons and are very useful. More staff engagement with this program in comparison to our older scheduling program. I really like that you can send messages out via SW and picking up shifts and requesting PTO is easier for the floor staff.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

I wish that you could set filters to say and not automatically returning to the default settings. A couple of my team members don't have/use cell phones or computers at home, and they haven't been able to find a good alternative to printing their schedule for home use and or daycare providers for parents. The log reports are tricky, especially when trying to determine the last date 5 different nurses on one shift was on low census last.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

My corporate leaders force us to use this product. I see no upsides when compared to When I Work, which was the system we were previously using without issue.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

In the healthcare industry, shifts change daily, if not hourly. ShiftWizard makes those changes difficult and unintuitive. Even if I'm not changing the schedule, I have to regularly change where scheduled staff are assigned. That is such a hassle in ShiftWizard. Also, shiftswaps are very confusing for me as a manager. It is never clear what shift is being swapped.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ShiftWizard is creating issues for us, not solving them. When I Work is the superior product and if corporate had listened to us, they would have saved their money and not switched.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

SwhiftWizard is an app. Most of us agree there shouldn't be an f in the name.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

It is difficult to read, there is no way to change the view, trying to swap shifts is more difficult than it needs to be. Usually when someone swaps shifts with someone else, you have to be able to say with whom you plan to swap, and what hours, thats not a thing with this app. This app isn't one that my department chose to use, nor would we choose it if we had a choice.

We didn't have any problems with our previous system, and since SW is more complicated, it os creating problems we didn't have before.

That you can see your schedule and department schedule, color coordination, pick up shifts

Difficult to navigate at times, can’t see all open shifts at once and have to click through each location to look for open shifts, confusing buttons when have to intentionally click certain one in order to accept shift

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

It's easy to understand and use functions. I use this app every day, so I pretty familiar with all the functions.  Shift Wizard implements simplicity which adds to adds to the ease of functioning.   The customer service call center is great also.  If I have any concerns, I always call to speak to someone, and that is a plus for me.  I feel very secure using Shift Wizard, and I am happy the company I work for uses this App.

Can't say I have any dislikes, because it does what it's supposed to do.

Time efficiency.  This app saves me so much time just having the information I need when I simply open the app.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

The only positive that comes to mind is the ease of placing timecard corrections.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

It is difficult to access on any computer and requires us to login which can take 3-5 minutes to go into, causing us to clock in/ out late unless we show up earlier. The schedule is unreadable and the way it is set up forces us to have to look at multiple different schedules to see where we will be for the week. We are unable to use the system while working at mercy health clients, causing us to have to submit timecard corrections every day of the week sometimes. It automatically deducts an hour lunch and correcting it is so clumsy that it has taken our supervisors more than the week to fix it, causing some of us to have to get the pay from the previous paycheck in the next one.

It has exacerbated the  problems we had with the previous time clocking service

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

It's nice to see a calendar view of my work schedule as well as the unit schedule. The symbols are nice too. Overall a clear and easy way to see my schedule

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

When it comes to the payroll report and viewing my timesheet I think there is a lot of missing info. My time sheet only shows when I clock in and out for my regular shift. It does not show my hours for my call shifts or when I am getting paid for precepting. Also, when PTO has been approved, it would be nice to see how much PTO is being used so I can make adjustments if I work extra hours that week or not. It was be amazing if ShiftWizard for collaborate with Kronos (which my company uses) so that we could see all the shift differentials applied, PTO used, notes entered by the time keeper, etc.

It provides an easy way to view my schedule and request PTO

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

I love how easy it is to use and how quickly we were able to adapt to the new system. I also love that there is an app for easy access use at home! Definitely helpful to be able to see just my schedule, filters to see holes if I want, and the ability to see other's schedules as well.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

I would love if there were an option to pick up shorter shifts than the full shift available without having to go through the staffing office or my manager. I would also find it beneficial to have an option to put notes on certain days either just for me as a reminder or for me and my manager without having to do a full day of unavailability to add a comment.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of access to everyone's schedule at once with various ways to filter and adjust the view for what you're looking for.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

It does create a working schedule.  It is possible to see everything you need.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

When synced to Google calendar (and probably Apple as well, though I don't have an iPhone) it will only send the shift name and time, but does not send the shift location.  I need to log into the website or mobile app to check the location.
When a shift is offered to you, it is in an awkward place.  You need to go to the shift swap section, then into the 'other' section to look.  Why does this not get a real menu listing so it is more prominent?  It is very easy to not notice that you have a request pending.
Urgent messages that require a signature seem pointless.  The message is forwarded to my email that I read when it arrives.  I don't sign it until I log into shift wizard which could easily be after the urgent message is no longer applicable.  Messaging in general is kind of weird and awkward.  Creating a new message is done in an unintuitive way unlike most other messaging systems.  Why do I have so many options of how to send the message?  The message should just go to shift wizard and then forwarded to email or text based on the recipient's preferences that they set up.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

I like the ability to see all employees shift and schedule. I manage payroll for our department and there are employees who work different shifts than I do. I like being able to see when they are supposed to work as it makes it easier to approve PTO requests. Speaking of, it's very easy to request a PTO day, and to also approve or deny one.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

The only thing I don't like about it, (and I believe this is mostly user error on my employees part) is that PTO gets approved and puts them over 40 hours, which carries into our actual payroll system and I have to go in and manually change it. But I do not fault ShiftWizard for that at all.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves scheduling issues when employees request off. I can easily see if anyone else is off or if another employee has picked up that shift for them.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

ShiftWizard makes it easy for me as an employee to see the shifts I am scheduled for, when I am on call, and view other members of the department shifts with ease. Since healthcare is a fast paced environment, I find it especially helpful to see the departmental schedule and view what our staffing numbers look like for the day. Additionally, if I find any vacancies on the upcoming shift, I can easily request that shift and it gets sent directly to my manager. ShiftWizard also offers both mobile and web applications for ease of viewing my schedule from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

Although I ultimately do recommend ShiftWizard, their mobile app is missing some features which the web app has. Primarily, the mobile app does not have a way to view departmental schedules, so I am stuck with going to the web portal instead.

ShiftWizard solves the problem of staff working numerous different schedules and allows us to view when we are scheduled easily. It ensures that I always know when I am supposed to come in and what additional shifts are available to me.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

I liked the icons and it’s fairly easy to schedule people

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

It does not work for staff in trauma and healthcare. Things are not paying out correctly. Changing the cost center is a stupid idea especially if you’re in an emergency situation. No one can stop and change their cost center and then to have our time keeper jump through a ton of hoops to change it. We work 24 hour shifts and for our time keeper to, again, have to break up shifts if the partner stays over slightly is insane. There’s too many moving parts that this program cannot capture in healthcare, trauma, and emergency situations. People take multiple calls and need to only get paid for one. Why does a notification get sent to everyone and then disappear once someone looks at the notification? That seems like a terrible idea

Ability to see who I am working with that day and future days even though it could change but I can mentally prepare myself that morning for who I maybe working with. I can also plan according if I am by myself and plan based on how much help I have. I can also look at other units to see what staff is present in the building giving me an idea of the flow of the day and what kind of backup I can expect if needed.

That the primary unit that pops up when I sign in is not my core/home unit

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

This system is a complete downgrade in every possible way. It’s disorganized, needlessly time-consuming, and demands excessive attention from both myself and other staff members just to accomplish basic tasks. Something as simple as scheduling—something that should take minutes—ends up consuming far more time and resources than it ever should.

What used to be a straightforward process has now become inefficient and frustrating. I find myself constantly having to double-check or redo work that the system should be handling accurately in the first place. The interface is unintuitive, the workflow is clunky, and the entire experience feels like a step backward.

Frankly, if I had to choose, I’d go to using a basic Excel document over this so-called “solution.” At least then I’d have more control, less hassle, and fewer wasted hours.

I would prefer it to integrate and tell me how much time I have to take off of work and how much time I am estimated to acrue to take off if future time is requested.

Shift wizard is showing me not only my time off but team members as well.  If I do not HAVE to have off of work, I can see if my team is already short staffed and not make my request or request less time.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

The upside of ShiftWizard is that it is linked to our time clock as well as Workday so everything is connected and information crosses over easily.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

The downside of ShiftWizard is the layout of looking at staff and shift schedules. It has been a very difficult transition because employees used to be able to see right away who was working what shift. Now it is very difficult to look at who is working what shift since the hours are shown in a difficult manner. The only thing that is readily able to be seen is what staff are working but not what shift the staff are working. It has been very frustrating, and I hope they can change the layout to make viewing much easier.

ShiftWizard benefits me by allowing my schedule to be easily accessible on my phone or computer.

I love how I can log into shift wizard, and it keeps track of my assigned work shifts in real time. It also keeps me informed on how much my shift bonuses are, as well as gives me insight into my co-worker's schedules should we be short staffed or need to contact them for any emergent staffing concerns.

I cannot see shift swap requests when I log into the desktop site, but I can see them when I log on via my cell phone.

Shift Key allows me to see all staff schedules in my department.

Overall it is user friendly and easy to assign and change shifts.  I use it daily.

It would be helpful if once a shift was applied to someone's schedule it would remain an option in the list when you right click a box on that person in the future and it always be there.  It is not there if it is a different day or a new schedule has been rolled out.

It is not solving any problems for me, but it does provide a way for me to keep track of my people.

**What do you like best about ShiftWizard?**

What I like best is how easy it is to see my schedule, request time off, and pick up available shifts. The layout is simple and everything is clearly labeled. It saves a lot of time and confusion compared to paper schedules or constant emails. I also like that notifications are sent out for changes or updates, which helps keep everyone informed. It’s helped reduce miscommunication within our team and made everything more efficient.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

The mobile app is helpful, but I wish it had all of the same features as the desktop version. It sometimes logs me out unexpectedly or takes a while to load when there’s a new update. It’s not a major issue, but smoother performance on the app would be a nice improvement.

I am easily able to message staff by their preferred way to communicate. Typically this is by text message.

I can't get it to work on my phone, which would be very helpful.

Being able to get information out to staff that I am not always able to catch during my work hours, or PRN staff. Our facility does not give email access outside of the hospital, so if it is a PRN employee they are very difficult to get communication out to if I don't have their personal number.

I like that I can get a quick view of my peers' schedules and navigating between topics is easy. I can see a calendar view of my schedule; and I can switch to seeing the daily report.

I don't like that it takes too many steps to link my schedule on ShiftWizard to my Google/Android calendar. I also dislike that my time off (PTO) is not reflected in a timely manner; probably because we have to submit PTO requests through another platform.

Easy to use even with no training. ShiftWizard is very easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?**

-When working with a Department Schedule, when you select to go back a week, it goes to the current day of the week instead of starting with the beginning of the week (Monday). This changed with an update. 
-When using "Icon Click", it would be nice if the selected icon and edits stays when you switch between schedules instead of having to reselect between each schedule. 
-When switching between schedules, it would be nice for the timeframe selected to follow each schedule selection instead of having to change the dates each time.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ShiftWizard dissolves any discrepancies when doing payroll.  It is a good means of communication.

I like the multitude of information available in Shiftwizard.  It is great that there is so much crucial information in one area and that improves efficiency in our processes.

I do not "dislike" anything about ShiftWizard.  It is just an adjustment going from our previous application to something new.  Once I am more efficient with the application, I feel ShiftWizard will be superior to any product we have ever utilized.

I like that I can add icons and quickly mark people as a call out. It's easy to see the schedule for the month, and add staff.

The shift selections are cumbersome. There are too many steps involved in locking in a schedule. The schedule here is also not subject to much change, so it seems excessive.

**What problems is ShiftWizard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not solving any of my problems. It's creating another problem for me to solve. The only thing it could possibly do is streamline the systems for scheduling, time off requests, and employee absenteeism; however, my company already uses software that has that functionality they are not taking advantage of, and my staff can't figure out how to read the shift wizard calendar.

I love using shift wizard. I am able to easily make changes to my schedule and see the whole picture with the click of a button. I’m not only able to see my schedule but I’m able to see my whole department schedule that way if I need to swap a shift I’m easily able to see who can accommodate my days and who cannot

The downside about using shiftwizard is that on your mobile app you cannot see the whole schedule or who is working on that day. You are only able to see your schedule.

The staff schedule is at my fingertips, I do not have to juggle papers anymore.  The staff have more autonomy with their schedules also.  I am able to communicate any changes or shift updates directly in the app.

My only complaint would be that it doesn't generate or populate your schedule for you or follow a set Saturday schedule for the staff

I like the ease of use.  I like being about to complete the same task in multiple different ways.  I like the filter options and being able to create and print reports. I also like being able to send text messages through Shift Wizard to all or just one of my staff. I use Shift Wizard every day at work and it is a big help to me.

I cannot think of anything that I do not like about Shift Wizard.

I bring it up on my monitor side by side with KRONOS and am able to make sure the timecards for all staff are correct so there will not be any hiccups with payroll.

Getting notification of a credential 3 months in advance is a little too much. I feel 1 month in advance is plenty, as I look at this each week, and also send out reminders.

Absolutely NOTHING, this program is trash.

The user interface is overly complicated and difficult to read. Its impossible to see who's on your shift or what departments anyone is in. The whole program feels like it was made in 2010 and never updated, our old program was better in every aspect and I wish we could return to it.

They've created nothing but problems with their poorly designed software and terrible user interface.
