What do you like best about ShiftWizard?

I love how easy it is to use and how quickly we were able to adapt to the new system. I also love that there is an app for easy access use at home! Definitely helpful to be able to see just my schedule, filters to see holes if I want, and the ability to see other's schedules as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?

I would love if there were an option to pick up shorter shifts than the full shift available without having to go through the staffing office or my manager. I would also find it beneficial to have an option to put notes on certain days either just for me as a reminder or for me and my manager without having to do a full day of unavailability to add a comment. What do you like best about ShiftWizard?

What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?

When synced to Google calendar (and probably Apple as well, though I don't have an iPhone) it will only send the shift name and time, but does not send the shift location. I need to log into the website or mobile app to check the location.

When a shift is offered to you, it is in an awkward place. You need to go to the shift swap section, then into the 'other' section to look. Why does this not get a real menu listing so it is more prominent? It is very easy to not notice that you have a request pending.

Urgent messages that require a signature seem pointless. The message is forwarded to my email that I read when it arrives. I don't sign it until I log into shift wizard which could easily be after the urgent message is no longer applicable. Messaging in general is kind of weird and awkward. Creating a new message is done in an unintuitive way unlike most other messaging systems. Why do I have so many options of how to send the message? The message should just go to shift wizard and then forwarded to email or text based on the recipient's preferences that they set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ShiftWizard?

I like the ability to see all employees shift and schedule. I manage payroll for our department and there are employees who work different shifts than I do. I like being able to see when they are supposed to work as it makes it easier to approve PTO requests. Speaking of, it's very easy to request a PTO day, and to also approve or deny one. What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?

The only thing I don't like about it, (and I believe this is mostly user error on my employees part) is that PTO gets approved and puts them over 40 hours, which carries into our actual payroll system and I have to go in and manually change it. What do you like best about ShiftWizard?

ShiftWizard makes it easy for me as an employee to see the shifts I am scheduled for, when I am on call, and view other members of the department shifts with ease. Since healthcare is a fast paced environment, I find it especially helpful to see the departmental schedule and view what our staffing numbers look like for the day. Additionally, if I find any vacancies on the upcoming shift, I can easily request that shift and it gets sent directly to my manager. ShiftWizard also offers both mobile and web applications for ease of viewing my schedule from anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?

Although I ultimately do recommend ShiftWizard, their mobile app is missing some features which the web app has. Primarily, the mobile app does not have a way to view departmental schedules, so I am stuck with going to the web portal instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?

It does not work for staff in trauma and healthcare. Things are not paying out correctly. Changing the cost center is a stupid idea especially if you’re in an emergency situation. No one can stop and change their cost center and then to have our time keeper jump through a ton of hoops to change it. We work 24 hour shifts and for our time keeper to, again, have to break up shifts if the partner stays over slightly is insane. There’s too many moving parts that this program cannot capture in healthcare, trauma, and emergency situations. People take multiple calls and need to only get paid for one. Why does a notification get sent to everyone and then disappear once someone looks at the notification? That seems like a terrible idea Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ShiftWizard?

Ability to see who I am working with that day and future days even though it could change but I can mentally prepare myself that morning for who I maybe working with. I can also plan according if I am by myself and plan based on how much help I have. I can also look at other units to see what staff is present in the building giving me an idea of the flow of the day and what kind of backup I can expect if needed. What do you like best about ShiftWizard?

What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?

This system is a complete downgrade in every possible way. It’s disorganized, needlessly time-consuming, and demands excessive attention from both myself and other staff members just to accomplish basic tasks. Something as simple as scheduling—something that should take minutes—ends up consuming far more time and resources than it ever should.

What used to be a straightforward process has now become inefficient and frustrating. I find myself constantly having to double-check or redo work that the system should be handling accurately in the first place. The interface is unintuitive, the workflow is clunky, and the entire experience feels like a step backward.

Frankly, if I had to choose, I’d go to using a basic Excel document over this so-called “solution.” At least then I’d have more control, less hassle, and fewer wasted hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The upside of ShiftWizard is that it is linked to our time clock as well as Workday so everything is connected and information crosses over easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ShiftWizard?

The downside of ShiftWizard is the layout of looking at staff and shift schedules. It has been a very difficult transition because employees used to be able to see right away who was working what shift. Now it is very difficult to look at who is working what shift since the hours are shown in a difficult manner. The only thing that is readily able to be seen is what staff are working but not what shift the staff are working. What do you like best about ShiftWizard?

I love how I can log into shift wizard, and it keeps track of my assigned work shifts in real time. It also keeps me informed on how much my shift bonuses are, as well as gives me insight into my co-worker's schedules should we be short staffed or need to contact them for any emergent staffing concerns.
